This design allows coffeemakers to pour hot water over the grounds without splashing them around in the V60 dripper, helping to create a more consistent cup of coffee without the mess. Can be used on the stove to heat water, or add the Hamilton water kettle that can heat water for you.

I've noticed a few comments online complaining/nitpicking about this kettle's build quality. After having handled a few of them, I don't see anything to complain about aside from the price. They're not flimsy or particularly thin-walled. Consider a Bonavita electric for less $$.

If you are going to be using a cone filter at home you need this. Provides you the ability to pour your water at a nice steady rate. Makes it much easier to brew coffee well.

This can be used on the stove, unlike other pouring kettles.
