This is Aldo's Blend, brought to you by 1000 Faces Coffee Roasters. This blend is named for Aldo Leopold, a revered ecologist and author. Aldo's is a blend of rich coffees from producers in Nicaragua and Brazil. The cup is beautifully balanced with nuances of dark chocolate and molasses.

Good stuff. I'm not great with tasting notes but I enjoyed it. I found it to be more on the medium side than truly dark.

I wouldn't consider this a dark roast, medium or even a light/medium. Definitely a nutty aroma and taste.

It's a bit timid, but has pleasant notes of molasses. Not quite as dark a roast as I prefer, and a little more acidity, but it's pretty good if it's not thinned too much with milk.

A decent morning brew, a little on the sweeter side even before my spoon of turbinado sugar. I like letting this one brew a little longer in my French Press, which I discovered by accident while playing The Last of Us.

Not that robust. Adjusting the grind and bloom helped a bit. I don't get chocolate undertones. It does have a syrupy taste with finer grind reminiscent of a weak burnt coffee. Not an unpleasant roast. I just don't prefer light medium roast.

Fantastic coffee! Liked this one a lot more than the first one even though I don’t think it’s as dark of a roast. The chocolate and molasses notes really stand out. Love it!

Horribly astringent for some reason, I tried cleaning my grinder with tablets, lowering the amount of coffee beans in my ratio, and playing with brew temp but it still tastes horrible. Not sure what happened here, maybe an underripe batch but I would not drink this one again.

It is ok. I still enjoyed my coffee in the mornings but even after experimenting with grind size, it was a bit too strong and bitter in both my aeropress and V60. Found myself wanting to add more milk and sugar than I usually do. Occasionally I would be able to taste the chocolate note but it's not a thick creamy chocolate.

Great flavor but not for me. I was struggling trying to find the correct grind for a good extraction. Seems to be under extracted every time I pulled a shot.

This coffee was good for what it was. It was not a "dark" roast, as I would classify it. The Guatemala Huehuetenango Dark Roast is still my favorite and one most closely aligned with my preferences.

I didn't like this at all. Not at all in line with my taste. Lacks flavor - sometimes inconsistent in fact (i.e. at times it tastes bland, other times it tastes bitter). I wish I could return it haha

Similar to the previous selection, this selection isn't dark/robust enough. I also notice that the beans are a lot less oily than some of my previous favs (like from Passion House and Centri) and lead to a less thick mouthful/less crema.

This really is rich and chocolatey. You can smell the chocolate notes on the whole beans. I liked it a lot.

As espresso, Americano experienced the
molasses/top notes. Milk brought out the deeper chocolate. Could be a little fuller/rounder in flavor.
