The Brazil Dulce Signature was carefully roasted for you by Methodical Coffee. Two coffees, both from female producers, were blended together to produce a rich, nutty, and balanced cup. This is a 50/50 blend of a naturally processed Yellow Catuai coffee varietal and a honey processed Mondo Novo coffee varietal. The coffees were sourced and blended from two separate farms, Fazenda Morada Da Prata and Fazenda São Francisco, both operated by women producers Maria Helena Dumont and Selma Veira.
I liked the introduction to naturally processed beans. The roast was in a medium range like I am used to, so it was a good "comfortable" introduction. In addition to the smokey and nutty flavors and aromas, I also detected a slight dark cherry aroma and an interesting subtle fruty tasting note.. I would have been curious to try it at a slightly lighter roast level! Overall quite good and looking forward to exploring other new experiences.
Delicious and well balanced. Not too acidic.
Loved this! This is the best coffee I’ve had in a while!
Very dark roasted. Tasted and appeared burnt. Disappointed with this batch. We had to discard.
The roast on this coffee was incredibly dark to the point that none of the flavors listed on the packaging came through.
When less than 2 weeks from roast date it was exactly as described when brewed as espresso. I enjoyed this as espresso but not as a Americano or when using a Aeropress.
Really enjoyed this one! I used a blade electric grinder and we have a ninja coffee maker. The taste is as described and really enjoyable and perfect for a fall PNW day!
Not best choose for morning coffee
The most difficult coffee I’ve ever dialed in. Makes a great latte, less ideal for long black.
7.3. Good espresso. Nice crema.
Great black coffee, a bit weak with milk but great notes nonetheless
Enjoyed it, but tasted pretty weak with milk added.
love the nuttiness and the roast is not too dark
I find it interesting that the tasting notes are dark chocolate, nutty, and balanced, because I get a much juicier, lighter taste initially, which lingers on the palate. I would say this coffee is just okay. If I could give it 3.5, I would.
Flavor wasn’t bold enough for us and felt a little on the lighter side.
Not as much flavor as I would like
After finally getting the grind size right I do taste some chocolate and honey nodes. Though I’m going to try aeropress next! I don’t think my drip machine is doing it justice!
Nice medium roast - nutty and toasted.
It’s nice and subtle, we’ve brewed it drip and pour over and like it both ways. Love that the coffee comes from women owned operations!
It was just ok for me. Looking for a richer taste
Nice initial flavor and no weird after tastes. A little bolder than most medium roasts. Brewed usually as as an Americano using a Breville BES840. Also tastes great as a straight espresso shot
Awesome smooth coffee. I used my V60 pour over to brew and it made what I think of a as a classic cup of coffee.
Liking this one. The grinds appear to melt and gel with pour over. Strange. Even when grinder set for coarser grind. Just right caffeination level (modest).
Roasty, slightly sweet
Best brewed at 6 grind size, 195*
Fell flat. Not dark and robust enough. Too sweet of undertone. Looking for something more flavorful.
Complex in a great way. Not too crazy yet still took me by surprise. Has hidden fruit notes as well which complement the dark chocolate taste very well. Great espresso.
This was one of my favorites.
Good balanced flavor, we all liked it, not too dark, worked for both the Aeropress and Espresso.
The best beans i've ever had. Absolutely in love.
Too dark, overly roasted. Not for me
I was surprised that this coffee seemed more spiced and "woody" than I thought it would be. I was expecting some nuttiness or sweetness, but didn't really get that at all. I've brewed twice so far at a 1:14 ratio, using Chemex and a Hario V60. I'll be trying french press next.
Like the body, smoothness and balance. Dont know how to describe the component that is still off-putting to me. Tannic? maybe the "nutty" part?
medium roast but with a dark roast finish, something right in between
Good taste. Found it a little finicky to dial in, but possibly just due to lack of experience with my new-ish grinder. Would prefer a bit more acidity/lighter roast.
It's a little light for me. I don't like bold, but more medium than light.
Loved the balanced taste and nutty aroma in my espresso.
So good, the tasting notes are right on. That dark, nutty, chocolate is tasty. Not sweet, but more earthy.
Very nice, dark notes and a rich cup.
Personally, I think the coffee is good as long as other stuff is mixed in. But, my boyfriend drinks then black and he was not a fan and described it as having kind of a burnt taste to it.
Pretty good, but a little lighter roast than my preference.
Easy coffee to drink. I am more of a light roast person. But I enjoyed so much about this. I would say it is a very balanced cup. Used the recipe on the side of the bag to make my pour over. It was great.
Good flavor but not dark enough. Would like a darker roast next time.
Darker/roastier than expected
Great nutty/chocolate forward coffee, I tend to look for a fruit forward coffee.
Better rich, nuttiness. Tasted more full bodied but still not too heavy.
Very smooth and well balanced. Didn’t mind that it was a bit on the darker side. Went well with my Hario Switch (Japanese flash method)
Not discernible differ than Dunkin’
Not a big fan of nutty or dark coffees. So, the appreciation of this flavor profile wasn’t there for us.
Enjoyable. Loved the gorgeous packaging too
A little more bitter then I would like. Instructions on the side was extremely off on how much to use.
Very balanced and nutty. Very smooth.
I think I just love this whole brand.
Tasted like dark roast
Thoughtfully balanced roasting, the tasting notes really canned through. Very chocolatey. Brewed via V60
It was good
A bit more acidic than I expected. Not bad, just unexpected. Otherwise a good medium roast
Very nice chocolate flavor
Really liked this selection. Coffee was very smooth and tasty. Perfect for cream and stevia additions.
Very mild and smooth. Good evening or after dinner coffee.
This was fine. I think it makes a decent cup of coffee but I'm trying to move away from your "typical" coffee flavors.
The flavor was more nutty and dark from what I enjoy. Hoping to find something slightly lighter and fruitier.
One of our favorite Misto deliveries so far! We do pick up some notes of nuts and chocolate. Overall, would order again.
Pretty standard medium roast. Flavor descriptions are right on the money, but I would prefer something more complex and sweet
Nice, balanced brew
Comforting, chocolatey, and not acid at all!
The BEST coffee bean!! So flavorful and smooth!
Boring and underwhelming
Technically I think it's a good blend, but the strength of the nutty notes is stronger and more pronounced than I would like.
Very good coffee, but I think I prefer a more citrus taste. Nutty is a really good way to describe this one.
Loved this coffee. I don't freely give 5 star reviews, but there is something very appealing to me about this flavor. The undertones are perfect. Difficult to put into words, but my wife felt the same way.
I liked this one.
I absolutely loved the flavor. It had a bold rich flavor that loved just as is
Excellent. Mellow, rich, touch of chocolate flavor.
Solid medium roast. No overly pronounced notes.
I don’t know what it is but I feel like the taste is a little metallic. I also think I would like something more bold
Solid cup of coffee, but doesn’t have a lot of complexity. The chocolate and nuttiness comes through super well on the nose, but weaker when brewed (at least with pour over). Still need to try as moka espresso.
Brewed on chemex had a great sipping experience. Nutty flavor was nice and balanced.
The honey-processed half was notable in the smoothness and faint sweetness; the coffee overall was nutty and rich without being overwhelming. I could've sipped on this for ages.
Weak. Had to use double the amount, but still the flavor was bland. Lovely packaging, but. ...
Nice. Balanced, good notes.
Excellent coffee, great roast. Has a good oat-y flavor. It is quite a bit different from previous coffees we’ve had. It’s an excellent roast, but also not one we’d want every time.
This coffee was amazing. My husband and I loved it
earthy, pleasant, rich
Really liked it although it didn't have my favorite notes.
Tastes a little “baked”/grassy for my likes. Not bad, but a taste I can’t quite put my finger on.
Love how smooth it is but would enjoy a more bold/stronger flavor (or just have the flavor come through more)
Still need to dial in my grinder setting (may still be a little too fine), but I love how rich and slightly sweet this coffee is
Very good, a nice dark chocolate taste with a nutty finish. It isn’t too acidic or bitter. Had a nice sweetness to it.
Nutty finish is refreshing
loved it. I look forward to waking up and grabbing me a cuppa this
Mildly sweet, earthy, nicely roasted
It was good; nothing particularly notable for us.
This was fantastic! It was surprisingly difficult to dial in and required a much coarser grind than expected but it was worth the effort. I loved the nutty flavor and how it coated the tongue. The dark chocolate lingering aftertaste I wasn't as much of a fan of but this is fantastic with milk.
The roast and balance were nice. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would. I think the nutty flavor is the detractor.
Gosh, hate to come of the gates throwing out 5-stars... but this coffee is complete fire. From the smell of the beans to the taste of my cup, it was enjoyable. Very smooth and satisfying. Clearly was an upgrade from the coffee I've been drinking. <3
Talk about a home run choice - this coffee has been insanely solid and super tasty. Looking forward to picking this up again in the future.
The smell of this coffee alone was worth the subscription. It was strong and colorful and vibrant.
I brewed this two ways, with an espresso machine, and with a pour over. I made a Cappuccino and I got a smooth balanced coffee with noticeable chocolate and nutty tastes. As a pour over this was very balanced and not strong at all, which I like. When I made this as a cappuccino, it was in the top 3 best cappuccinos I've ever had, I love the chocolate hints, and its not too strong a perfect medium.
I like this coffee a lot, it smells great and has no negative flavors or features for me. It is very smooth, but doesn't have a lot of flavor notes that I can pick out. Pros: nice aroma, low acidity, no bitterness. Cons: flavor is not very striking. I'll try a few more brew variations and see if I want to update this rating. Thanks!
This coffee is delicious. Very pleasant blend, smooth taste, not acidic and no bitter after taste. Loved it for a breakfast cup.
Unsuspecting delicious flavors - I expected it to be darker and lean heavier into the nutty flavors, but it was in-fact quite balanced and made for an excellent cup of coffee. I would drink it in the morning before work, and while it was an exceptional flavor, it was a bit heavier than I would want to drink multiple cups of in the morning. Highly rated and will order again!
Very good for some new to the coffee world.
It has a very fresh, fruity taste to me. It is a very delicious coffee but that fruity flavor does not last very long. I have only made it hot, but I do think it will make a delicious cold brew, so I will make that next. It also reheats well when made in the Chemex!
Great coffee - full of flavor. Was the perfect balance of smooth and strong.
I enjoy the nutty and chocolate notes in a roast that isn't dark. It is very well balanced.
This is amazing, great flavor, smooth finish
this one tastes great with either oat or soy milk
Nice and smooth but a more robust flavor is our preference (without being darker or bitter).
Not very exciting and week needed a lot of coffee to have it taste like anything
This is delicious. It feels like the perfect cup for a crisp morning.
Good but unremarkable. Almost too dark.
Very good. Dark and nutty, which is my general preference. I think I'd like just a tad more fruit, though
Really liked it but a bit too nutty for me?
Very good coffee! I loved the flavor of semi-sweet chocolate. Not too bitter, nice and balanced.
Excellent. Well balanced. Not bitter
Just ok. Not blown away. Drinkable.
Great Brazilian coffee
Best one so far
This coffee tastes as described, well balanced, chocolatey, nutty. Very good quality and fresh. If you prefer a standard coffee taste, you will be very happy with it. However, I prefer coffees with a bit more character.
Very delicate flavor, nutty with a hint of chocolate. Quite light, needed to drink black to get flavor
Fantastic choice and brewed perfectly in my espresso machine.
Smoothest coffee I've brewed at home, will definitely be ordering more of this.
Very reminiscent of Illy
The nuttiness is the dominant taste. The brew overall was a bit tame. I would have liked a bit more body.
Ok flavor but not as smooth as I thought it would be. Guess I am more accustomed to a blend of dark/medium roasts.
Smooth and aromatic! Delightful to drink!
Love smooth and silky taste this one has
Really enjoyed this roast. I also enjoyed going online and looking up the curators. What a charming coffee house. Cheers
We really liked the flavor and smoothness.
Nice flavor, not too acidic
Good, but slightly too nutty for me
Good, enjoyable, drinkable
Great coffee. I made a latte for my wife and she said it was the best coffee she had in a while. I enjoyed my latte as well.
It was good. There just been a few better ones
Not flavorful or smooth
Tasted more like tea than coffee
good. I asked for medium roasts... I would consider this on the lighter side of medium.
Very nice and smooth. Smells amazing. Could be a little bit of a stronger flavor. Otherwise, a really good coffee.
loving this so much!
This coffee was nice, definitely very balanced, but usually prefer beans / roasts with more character
Good. Not extra good.
Could taste tones of dark chocolate and almonds. Woody, light body and roasted taste. Overall a great coffee.
However, I think for my next coffee I would prefer something chocolate, fruity (more in the berry range like cherry) and less nutty or woody.
This was an excellent coffee. Bold and beautiful! Chocolate and cherry notes in both the nose and the taste. There was no bitterness, it was very smooth. Very enjoyable.
I usually live a Brazil but this didn't quite live up to my expectations. Still a good cup of joe though.
We loved this coffee!
Nice iced or hot, excited to try it different ways. Unique flavor when cold brewed.
It was ok! Nothing to special about it!
Better than the first one.
Pretty good, Emily liked this one more
Underwhelming. Not much flavor.
It was delicious and balanced, not too bitter.
Honey processed coffee has a bit of a funk to it that some people really enjoy. I think it's interesting, but ultimately not a flavor profile I want first thing in the morning. It wasn't overly strong, but enough that I probably wouldn't choose this again.
Smooth and delicious
Tasty! But did not match how much I liked the Portrait coffee.
enjoyed when brewed as espresso or with aeropress. nothing to write home about, but good all around coffee especially for guests
Delicious, bright but subtle
I really like this one, 4.5 stars!
Delicious, but not notable
Fantastic. Great body for espresso, great flavor for aeropress and pour over
More of a daily basic coffee, light with some hazelnut and a bit of cola.
Mild and boring. This is the first brew I've had from Mistobox that I didn't like. Brewed with filtered water in v60, it's very flat and without much flavor.
My favorite so far
I liked the flavor it was a little on the heavy side for me but I still liked it a lot. I think the dark chocolate was a little too much for me.
Decent flavor but it wasnt consistent. Despite exact same brewing process it didn't keep the same taste from brew to brew.
Doesn’t work well with our machine
Better than the last one that you chose. The first one that I picked is still the best out of the three by far if you have anything similar to that.
Great for Espresso - nutty realy comes out in french press. Great packaging and a great coffee.
THe coffee had very noticable tobbaco tones. We did not find that to be very pleasent.
Really great coffee! Loved the blend and taste of this roast.
Not as flavorful as I had hoped. Even the aroma was lacking.
I enjoyed this one more than my more recent ones. Also, very cool that this one is just down the street from me, I'd been meaning to check them out anyway!
Easily my favorite so far.
Won’t order again
I enjoyed this blend. Very traditional taste with chocolate notes.
Earthy, acidic and sour. No detection of Dark Chocolate or Nut on my part. Too familiar to Maxwell House for my tastebuds to differentiate.
This wasn't a very good coffee, I saw very good reviews but it wasn't for me.
This wasn't our style. it wasn't bad, just not for us. It was almost slightly burned flavor and a citrus note we don't prefer.
Not a fan. Light, weird taste notes.
Has a bit of an unpleasant sourness
Best so far
Didn't like it. To my mouth, the nuttiness and cereal tastes clash. It's like mixing orange juice and toothpaste, if they were earthy + sooty elements instead.
Very strong chocolate flavor, it's good for those who like the rich and bitter taste of cocoa, but not my preference on a personal level.
Pretty good. Tasted a little citrusy to me.
Tastes like flowers, literally
Mike & Ellen
This is a great coffee. So rich and tasty. One of the best we have experienced.
Nice and roasty. Nothing too out of the box, but extremely solid flavor and depth
A bit too bitter for me (dark roasted). It did not offer much nuttiness or smoothness on the finish to counter the bitter edge
Great balance of flavors, smooth taste. Great for pour over and french press.
Pour over is okay; the dual sweet / fruity with earthy is... odds. But room temp press is great and gets alot of the chocolate flavor through!
Too bitter for my taste. Paired alright with sweet pastry but not my preferred all-around coffee.
