Edward
Too light a roast for my taste.
4/3/2018

Cody
long brew time at end due to dust, if it would brew correctly the notes are good but required a course grind.
3/25/2018

David
Super nutty, bakers chocolate. Well balanced.
3/4/2018

David
While I enjoy the nutty flavors, the roast was a bit too light for me to fully enjoy.

Jonathan
The taste peanut butter was stronger than I thought it would be, and was hoping it would be more subtle. Overall, the coffee had nice flavors, but the taste of coffee itself was not strong enough for me (tasted a bit like a "dessert" coffee to me). I love just a good quality, well brewed cup of coffee that has a strong but smooth coffee taste, and where any other flavors/notes are very subtle.
I am not a big fan of coffees that's are overly sweet coffees (e.g. my daily coffee is just a simple Café au Lait made from a good coffee, only a little bit of steamed milk, and no added sweeteners/flavors).

John
A tremendous nutty aroma confronted me from the moment I opened the package. The flavor profile is actually more sweet, I tasted a hint of orange. The coffee is creamy and has a bright acidity. I really wanted to rate this coffee four stars, but the flavor didn't match the nutty aroma.

chas
My stars are off now. This gets 6.
10/17/2017

Brian
Was unsure at first but after a few brews, grew to really enjoy this one. Peanut butter comes in as it settles and cools a bit, and chocolate throughout. It's really enjoyable.

Jason & Julie
one of my favorites!
9/6/2017

Joshua
I love this coffee. I like the richness of the cup, and definitely caught the peanut butter at the end. Sent a bag to a friend, and he enjoyed as well.
9/2/2017

Stacy
Smooth and balanced. Chocolate and peanut butter notes in the front giving away to a slight malty sweetness. Giving 3 start because of the thin mouthfeel.

Chemex
40G coffee
700G water

Swaroop
nutty with notes of honey. Seriously one of our favorites to date. If you prefer bolder morning coffee, this is a great choice.
6/5/2017

jeremiah
Notes of peanut butter and chocolate
5/14/2017

Mike
This was exactly what I've wanted!
4/28/2017

Bryan
Wonderful body, great tasting notes. The fruits came out in the v60 very well.
4/15/2017

Iron
Great aroma, and very smooth. Really nice as a v60, I used about 23g to 360g
4/15/2017

Matt
Really chocolate forward. Didn't get any of the citrus or complexity. Not my favorite
3/24/2017

Anneliese
I really liked this coffee, but preferred the first coffee slightly more. This one had a good flavor but was lighter/slightly more acidic/less chocolate-y (not sure the right word). I definitely enjoyed it though and it had a rich aftertaste that was particularly good.
3/13/2017

Keren
I liked Brazil Fazenda Ambiental Fortalleza quite a lot, it's balanced and smooth and delightful. I think I may have liked the Peru Huabal slightly more.
2/23/2017

Scott
Delicious!. Bought more.
2/22/2017

Jay
Definitely getting the notes of chocolate, but not so much the fruit.
2/19/2017

steve
wow, so much peanut butter. really interesting and delicious. more please!
2/7/2017

Gardner
Awesome peanut butter and chocolate notes. Nuanced and balanced. Excellent in French press and espresso.
1/23/2017

Irvin
Still hard to grind. My wife thinks it smells like butt and I tend to agree. Can you find a coffee for me that is easier to grind and smells less butty.
1/22/2017

Sheila
Smooth and lively. Milk chocolate with hints of fruit acidity and a deep sweetness.
1/20/2017

Paul
pretty good
1/15/2017

Franklin
these have all been so good

Betty
I don't remember this coffee very well. I do recall that it was not my go to...took me a long time to finish the bag.
1/8/2017

Alvin
well balanced--rich supple body complements the well structured citrus notes.
12/29/2016

Maria
nice flavor. .... good with milk
12/5/2016

John
I loved the rich flavor of this coffee!
11/29/2016

Wesley
I think this may be one of the best yet.
11/21/2016

Chad
First bag from the premiere level subscription and the small additional cost is well worth it. As stated above, makes a fruity cup, but the flavors aren't muddled. Rather each tasted note builds on the previous one, all with a roasty finish to complete a staggeringly good brew. The best recommendation I can give is that these beans inspire me to be more precise in my brewing methods, in order to tease even more quality out of each cup.
11/17/2016

Jenna
This coffee was ok, but there was a smokiness about it that we didn't really like.
10/20/2016

Allan
Not a fan of this, I think it was over roasted. No complexity, no finish, and it oxidized very quickly, leaving a listless cup after 7 days.
10/19/2016

Josh
Smooth brew, well balanced. Mild yet layered flavor. Enjoyable, but not necessarily memorable.
10/16/2016

mark
Rrally liked this one. It actually gave me hints of peanut butter haha
10/16/2016

Israel
Not as good as the Ethiopian one
10/12/2016

Dave
Nutty with chocolate and a hint of fruit. Fantastic roast! Chemex brewed.
10/9/2016

Chris
Too much in the fruit direction that I said from the outset I didn't want.
9/30/2016

CHRISTOPHER
Not as a big a fan of this one. It did not have complex flavors of the last one I was sent. Had a bit too much sour taste for me.
9/30/2016

Andrew
This coffee is great! It strikes a great balance of dark richness, with just a hint of fruitiness. It works great in both an aeropress and chemex. The flavor is slightly milder so that it would pair well with added flavor or flavored creamer. This coffee doesn't quite match up to some of our all-time favorites, but it's definitely in the top tier.
9/11/2016

Ivan
it was okay.
9/11/2016

Joshua
Love the chocolate and delicate fruity finish. Some earthy goodness on this one.
9/7/2016

Kyle
Pretty dang bold and chocolatey... Not an overwhelming acidity either. Loved it brewed on a kalita!
8/22/2016

Amanda
Really good - smooth blend. Light fruit flavor. Great for pour overs.
8/7/2016

Spencer
One of my favorites
7/29/2016

Aiden
Still trying it; initially the flavor was great. Rustic. Unlike the last batch, the flavor changed a bit when it cooled down. Less acidic than the previous batch. I like it.
7/5/2016

THOMAS
Bit muted, but taste is pretty good
6/10/2016

Zaareh
Hi there, I have to say I was kind of disappointed in this coffee. It was still very light roast and without the nice acidity of the previous coffee you sent. so for next batch please a darker roast at least the medium to medium dark with some mild acidity thank you !
5/19/2016

Rafael
I love the complexity and roast of this blend.
5/19/2016

Daniel
Good breakfast coffee
5/13/2016

William
This is one of the smoothest coffees I've ever had. It was especially nice in the Aeropress! While smooth, it wasn't lacking in flavor.
5/12/2016

Bill
Delicious. This amazing Brazil coffee tasted like chocolate covered fruit. One of the best Brazil's I've brewed in a long time.
4/25/2016

Bob
Another really good coffee - not quite as tasty as the Peru Cenfrocafe, but a really rich lighter roast.
3/1/2016

Peter
Big fan of this coffee! Loved how it tasted in my V60.
2/26/2016

Mark
Great tasting and smooth.
2/24/2016

Derek
smooth, almost caramel-like sweetness
2/12/2016

shiraz
Solid cup, heavier on chocolate and did not get much fruit.
2/4/2016

Ryan
I loved the floral nose and the fruity flavor. Great.
1/21/2016

William
Balanced, stellar cup of coffee. Great chocolate notes with a hint of sweetness.
1/18/2016

Ann
mellow, hint of chocolate
1/15/2016

Good, very smooth coffee. I would like to try a little more flavor profile though.
1/9/2016

Jen
Really good
1/7/2016

Heather
I really like this coffee! It is a very balanced cup. The more I drink it, the more I like it :)
1/5/2016

David
Tasty -- best as pour over
12/23/2015

Chris
Excellent at the first taste
12/7/2015

Ryan and Rachel
very nice smooth coffee very nice to drink.
12/4/2015

Aaron
Nice full body, with notes of blueberries and dark cocoa.
11/26/2015

Jena
I have had about nine cups of this by now and I feel more confident about my opinion. Right off the bat I noticed it wasn't as strong as the last one. When I poured it out it isn't as dark and the intense bitter flavor isn't there. Once I figured out I wasn't making it wrong I settled in to enjoy it. I don't need a super sweet something to eat with it to kind of tame the after taste in my mouth. I don't feel jittery after drinking it but I'm alert in the mornings. It's a nice cup of coffee to linger with in the morning.
11/20/2015

Tom
This coffee is smooth and mellow, and expands the flavor palate, which is great. The flavor notes say chocolate and peanut butter, and I can see why. Very nice.
11/17/2015

Aaron
I loved this coffee! This is such a nicely balanced cup compared to some of the acid bombs I have had from Kenya. The bean aroma reminds me of reeses peanut butter cups. The cup is very fruity with balanced sweetness and a mouth feel that reminds me of chocolate milk. After taste is pleasant but doesn't linger.
11/11/2015

Noelle
I really enjoyed brewing this cup daily. I found it very smooth and mellow, and really liked the nutty flavor of this coffee!
11/2/2015

erin
This is quite nice. Although my other half would like it to be bolder, he did agree that it was a nice flavor.
10/28/2015

Capitola
This one is very nutty, which I really don't like. While I know that it isn't an actual problem for the allergy, because I have a nut allergy I don't like things that taste overly nutty. If you like nutty coffee then you'll love it.
10/24/2015

Erica
I'm not crazy about Brazilian beans, and this not an exception. Flavors are present, but muted.
10/12/2015

Raul
Pretty good cup of coffee, has a really strong chocolate nutty taste.
10/3/2015

Erik
Super nutty! Unfortunately, not for me.
9/24/2015

Heather
This is a really great coffee. Very deep and full of great flavor. Did not feel acidic at all. A coffee you can enjoy plain and natural. This would probably also make a really tasty cold brew.
9/11/2015

Raen
Nice caramel flavor.
8/4/2015

Andrew
Not a huge fan of straight Brazil, prefer to have it in a blend where they tend to play well with other coffees. That being said I enjoyed this coffee and trying to find just the right brew method to make it shine. Japanese iced was refreshing and it aero press seem to work pretty well too. Very nutty and some dark chocolate and almost peanut butter like finish.
7/28/2015

Russ
Three stars might not be fair, because I never got a chance to properly dial this coffee in like I usually do...it mostly got used for morning coffee at work.
7/25/2015

Katrina
Very good dark yummy
7/16/2015

Jon
Great as espresso
6/13/2015

Michael
a little to earthy
6/10/2015

Omkar
light body, subtle chocolate notes. Mild-med acidity at finish. Best via pour over
5/27/2015

Tyler
Not a bad coffee, I'm not much of a peanut fan, and this coffee is through and through "nutish"... that being said I loved that it was so different from most coffees... if you like peanut butter you should def give this a try.
5/19/2015

Ben
Good one!
5/19/2015

Austin
This one was better, with some of the fruity notes, but I'd like to continue to move towards the light fruit/tea/bright vibes as opposed to the chocolate/citrus/tart notes.
5/14/2015

nathan
It's interesting. Good taste overall, but there's a cardboard taste I just can't get rid of. Maybe that's just the taste of Brazil coffee? In the past I've associated that taste with underdeveloped roasts, but based on 1000 Faces reputation, I'm guessing that's not the case. Either way, it's an interesting coffee - this is fun! :)
5/12/2015

Victoria
I like it quite a bit, but compared to the other coffees I've gotten recently it's a little more earthy than I prefer.
