Liked how it tasted in nitropress, though it is missing a long-lasting aftertaste.

Not bad at all. This is a nice cup of coffee. It doesn't blow me away, but it's very good.
7/11/2018

Sara
Loved the notes of chocolate and the aroma of this brew! Not too acidic and easy to drink.
11/28/2017

leora
Nutty and chocolatey without being dark roasted, great balance of acidity. Yum.
6/6/2017

Jaime
This has been my favorite so far! Not too acidic and works well in my press with my flavored creamer that I don't want to give up :). Great choice!!!!
6/4/2017

Brandi
Portola is always great!
4/12/2017

Farhad
very flat and bland in taste.

Aly
Wonderful coffee with a deep rich weight. Nice combination of subtle chocolate and fruity flavors that do not overpower. I ground and enjoyed a cup each morning I had these beans.

Jeff and Maile
Just fair. Rather bitter. Would NOT get again.
1/28/2017

Wayne
Smelled good, tasted good. Very smooth.
1/24/2017

Grand
The flavor is a little too syrupy for me.
1/22/2017

Derek
This is a strong flavored coffee with a lot of baker's chocolate.
12/10/2016

Olivia
Best coffee I have received! Perfect mix of brightness and body. Notes of chocolate. Delicious.
11/18/2016

David
Semi-sweet with chocolatey and spicy notes. I brewed with a Chemex.
10/27/2016

Karen
It's ok..just some bitter notes.
9/24/2016

Sandra
just okay. not particularly "sweet" tasting - a little bitter in fact or acidic.
8/30/2016

Kurt
Very smooth coffee. When brewing with inverted method on a Aeropress, the froth was very nice. Mild flavor, so only lacked some in the taste department, but very smooth and usable. No upset stomach.
8/23/2016

Andrew
Very smooth and non-confrontational. Enjoyable morning cup, but lacked the pizzazz to become a new favorite.
8/22/2016

Emily
This coffee was good, but a little too acidic for me!
8/9/2016

Gavin
Chocolate and baking spices balance the coffee. Tastes of fine dark chocolate, but smells of cloves and almonds.
5/14/2016

Donald
LOVE THIS COFFEE! I can see why it has won awards! So smooth and light. Not bitter at all. Definitely would want this again
5/2/2016

Anna
Good, but I could not detect the notes of almond and spice.
3/6/2016

steve
all around good.
1/12/2016

Kevin
Wonderful. The perfect blend of spices. Nothing is overpowering - the balance is just right. No need to destroy this perfect cup with sugar, creamer, or syrups.
12/23/2015

Jerome
Nice coffee, good aroma with a nice taste
12/20/2015

Arash
balanced, nutty flavor
11/17/2015

Ryan
Pretty good but hard to pick up any distinctive tasting notes (for me anyway)
9/16/2015

Rachel
I immediately was hit with hints of cigars, mushrooms and earthiness when I open the pouch. The beans were sort of medium brown in color and not oily. The taste was almost sweet and a bit acidic, far from roasty or bold. I prefer a little more balance and boldness, but still a nice change to try this blend.
8/19/2015

Rachel
Comforting and sweet. The kind of cup to sip and share on a cool summer morning!
8/10/2015

Sarah
Rich and smooth cup off coffee but couldn't quite taste the almond tasting note.
8/6/2015

Elie
Loved it. Chocolaty, caramel taste with hints of almond nutty flavor. Mildly fruity
8/4/2015

Justin
Alchemistic is a local favorite, super great coffee.
8/4/2015

Mark
There is fruit, but it's not overwhelming. The Sumatra is there, but is kept in check by the Brazil. Pretty decent go-to daily blend.
8/2/2015

Dustin
This coffee was so well balanced. I tasted almonds and caramel that got sweeter and more pronounced as it cooled. Excellent
6/27/2015

Travis
Good solid coffee. I am not a huge fan of almond notes myself, but the caramel really brought it together
6/18/2015

Sharon
Good but I would choose the Epiphany over this one. :)
6/15/2015

Matt
Great flavors, smooth
6/14/2015

Beatriz
I found it on the milder side.
6/2/2015

Donna
Rich and delicious.
