This is the Blend Forty-Eight brought to you by Cartel Roasting Co. The two coffees chosen for Blend Forty-Eight come from Huila in Colombia. This blend has a rich body, optimal sweetness, and a slight berry note. We love this versatile blend on all brewing methods from espresso to drip and everything in between.
We loved this one! These medium bodied with notes of fruit and chocolate are what we love for pour overs, interspersed with the darker roasts for espresso.
Very very good coffee. Smooth and easy drinking, with just a hint of tart acidity that keeps it lively & interesting. The bag notes the “velvety body,” which is spot on – one of the few coffees I’ve had where I really noticed the mouthfeel. Delicious!
This is excellent. So far excellent.
Didn’t like this one, too bitter not much flavor
Was really tough to get a consistently good tasting brew.
Meh. Had much better brews on-site.
Very similar to Good Vibes Brazil in both notes and deliciousness. This one is slightly more syrupy and heavy on my tongue as an espresso, which I like even better.
Balanced, favor full medium roast
This one is fruitier than my palette prefers, but I think that many would like it. It is pleasantly velvety, with a rich chocolate flavor. I think I would have loved it, if the fruit component (the lighter roast of the blend) was a lower proportion. I used pour-over to taste this.
Good Flavor - great over ice
this coffee is the one I have enjoyed the most so far.
Good flavor. Can taste the berries and chocolate. Roast level is right where I like for the darker range of my preferences.
I didn't like the berry-ness
I really liked the berry flavor, but my wife thought it was too strong. I think the chocolaty and velvetiness were positive.
Very berry- not for me but got through it - too much of a lighter roast.
Tasting notes are pretty true in espresso. Very fruit and berry-forward, slight bitterness, but overall brighter than expected. The body is really fantastic and velvety as described, just a little more acidic than I Typically prefer.
Not a fan of fruity, juicy, berry coffees. Prefer herbal, chocolate, butter, nutty and caramel. This coffee is a good coffee but not my cup of tea, so to speak.
Too strong flavor. It wasn’t as smooth as all the others
Too dark a roast
Nice. Very smooth and not too bitter for my "taster" genetic mouth.
This one like the last was much too fruity. We generally do not like fruity coffees (like from Ethopia and other Africa countries) and this seems to be along those lines.
Never tasted strong enough. Brewed with and without paper filter and nothing changed the meh flavor of it

I love this blend. So smooth and full of flavor. It's beautiful!
Excellent as espresso
Delicious light to medium roast
Excellent coffee especially in the french press.
Darker side, stronger fermented taste than expected
This one was really nice! Definitely a good breakfast blend :)
ah-maz-ing!!! Favorite list, for sure!!!
This coffee had acidic notes that were definitely present but not overpowering. Overall the coffee was clean but the profile was a little odd for my preference. One negative is that I found a rock in my beans, luckily just before I put it in my grinder.
Probably my least favorite so far, I really only taste almost a tootsie roll -esque quality, slightly burned taste in my opinion.
Very good starter for the morning. More berries than milk chocolate but not too acidic.
Super great, exactly the flavor we enjoy. I do get notes of berry, and it drinks very smooth.
Really liked this one.
Smooth and tasty.
Took some time for me to hone the brew but it’s a good coffee. Cherry or berry notes weren’t hard to find.
A nice full bodied coffee. A little dark for my taste but still a very drinkable coffee when made in a cold brew method.
My favorite thus far. Honestly, it was perfection for my personal tastes
Ok but not my favorite
Really good, chocolate with a bit of fruit
Absolutely love this coffee. Even with a little bit of half/half I am able to taste all the coffee notes they mention. Certified hit.
Delicious, full bodied and smooth
Smooth and well balanced
The coffee really holds true to the description, the chocolate flavor is incredibly potent and makes for a unique taste that I don't often get in drip coffee. That being said, the flavor is a bit too strong (bitter) for my own taste
Brewed with my grinder/coffee pot Mr. Coffee - so delicious! An easy cup of coffee to enjoy in the morning.
Not very interesting.
Best one yet
Really enjoyed this one. Very smooth.
Great, deep chocolate flavor
It just wasn't that great of a coffee. The flavors seemed a little off and bitter.
Great easy drinkable
Very good coffee
This was a bit too bitter tasting for my liking. It also was a bit on the blander side.
Overly bitter taste
Too acidic for my taste
Too light, don't like it (not sure why this note isn't saving/submitting...)
Ok more like diner coffee.
Best blend of coffee i've had -- duplicate this and you'll have happy customers!
It was an okay, tasted a bit burnt - perhaps the roasting process over did it

A new favorite! We must get this again!
Perfect for espresso, iced lattes, and affogato.
The was our favorite coffee we've received so far this year.
Not a strong berry sweetness but definitely good clean roast.
Very good flavor. Would like this again at some point
Loved this one! Please send this one again
I haven't rated coffee in so long. I should get better. But I made a batch of cold brew out of this and it's fantastic. The fruity notes are so pronounced and it's really a delight to drink.
This was my favorite coffee I think so far. SO SMOOTH and delicious. I will order this again if possible!
One of my favorites so far!
A little bland but not bad. It was also a little more of a medium than a light roast in my opinion.
Good. Right below Huck and Thesis
Chocolatey and nutty, but not really getting the berry notes mentioned on the bag. A very good, but standard, cup of coffee.
Love this! Very chocolatey.
This was our least favorite coffee we have received. Overly acidic
Just okay. For me, the notes of milk chocolate and berries came through the aroma, but not so much with the taste. Relatively balanced, but seems to be missing a little something and is a little sour. I'm going to try grinding it a little finer to see if I can get rid of some of the sourness and add a bit more umph. Brewed with a French press.
Very. Smooth. Good.
I wasn't a fan of the bitter flavor and notes.
I liked this coffee alot at first. But now I'm starting to think it's a little too sour for me. I can smell the chocolate note on the beans, but I don't taste it much in the coffee.
I'm brewing this in a v60 with the Hoffman method.
solid, nothing memorable
Forgot to record notes. Remember it being pretty good.
Brewed in Wilfa Precision coffee maker. 45g beans, medium fine grind, 1L of water.
We already loved Cartel coffee and were so happy to see in the rotation! This was so rich and delicious while still being a good breakfast coffee
Love this coffee! This has been one of our favorites
