Description
The Flatlander Signature blend was roasted for you by PT's Coffee Roasting Co. Formerly known as 1861 (in honor of the year that Kansas was admitted to the Union), Flatlander is PT's take on an approachable and well-rounded drip coffee. This medium-roast blend will please everyone and is perfect for drinking all day long. It features a bittersweet chocolate aroma with a round body, notes of caramel, and tangerine sweetness. It has a pleasant finish of roasted almonds and chocolate.

I really enjoyed the flavors in this coffee. It affirms that I like a good Medium roast. I also realized that I prefer the fresh grind and have changed my orders to beans.

Coffee is smooth, flavorful and almost sweet. Great balance between the boldness of the flavors without being overpowering, bitter, or acidic. Would order again.

Tasted a bit bitter, but I think it’s my pour over coffee method. The pour over strainer that I use is pretty old. Also need to dial in my grind size.

It wasn’t bad. I wouldn’t try it again. The blend was strong enough, but it tasted more like dirt.

It was very mild. Lacked complexity. We ended up blending it with other beans to give a more satisfying cup of coffee.

Initial taste was quite pleasant but mild. There is a lingering aftertaste of citrus sourness which I didn't care for. Is that the 'tangerine'?

Beens were roasted fresh! Really enjoyed the rich chocolate notes. I wish it were a of a bolder blend, but all in all a decent roast!

Very long aftertaste (not a criticism). I used the brewing suggestions on the website, but I think maybe I will want to vary the water/bean ratio. I'm not sensing the "tangerine sweetness" in the description.

When you open the package, the coffee smells amazing filling the house with strong chocolate and caramel smell! But, after the coffee is brewed (I used a classic french press), the most dominating notes are the Tangerine. I would have loved to taste more chocolate or nuttier notes.

Not our favorite. The Tangerine taste is actually really prominent, and while some might like that, it's just not for us.

This coffee is just ok for me. It does not have any strong flavors but does seem to have a bitterness to it. Fine to drink but nothing stands out about it.

Blueberry, toasted almond, chocolate, and a bit darker than I was expecting. A solid coffee with really cool packaging.
Brewed in the Ratio 8 coffee maker. 55g beans, medium grind (24/40 - Baratza Encore). 1.2L of water.
