This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Good Folks Coffee will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
This is the Globe Trotter Blend brought to you by Good Folks Coffee. The Globe Trotter Blend features high quality coffees from some of their favorite origins. Simple and straightforward, this coffee is intended to appeal to a wide audience of coffee lovers. We think this coffee has notes of caramel and nuts with a full bodied character.
I rarely throw out coffee, but unfortunately did with this one. It had no taste. Basically felt like drinking warm water. Very disappointing and hoping it was maybe just a random bad batch.
Good at first, spoiled very quickly even when stored properly. Brewed with a Moka Pot - first few batches were phenomenal, but it's been getting more and more sour/bitter.
My second selection from this roaster and another winner!
not good, burnt acrid flavor. was able to dampen this with some adjustment to the grind and ratio but still difficult to drink
overall this is a good coffee, but not quite my style - I think I would prefer something less full bodied
The grind was not suitable for pour over. The coffee itself is pretty decent though.
We love this coffee. It has depth but not bold and there is definitely a nutty brown sugar component. Right now one of the faves!
Wonderful, sweet, full flavored. Like chocolate
Very rich flavor.
Very chocolatey, I enjoyed it a lot.
No matter the grounds to water ratio this coffee had a surprisingly weak body. If you like milky, caffeinated water - this is the coffee for you!
Maybe just a little too roasty/dark for me. Not my favorite, made in French Press, Aeropress and Chemex...nothing worked for me.
The roast is too dark for me.
Lovely fragrance of fresh ground beans, nice smooth and interesting flavor.
Too burnt tasting for us.
Smooth but unappealing. Very subtle toasted almond on the front end, but smooths out and leaves nothing on the back end. Not a bad cup, not a great cup. Too much trying to be a crowd pleaser.
I like this one quite a bit.
loved the smell and how strong it smelled. the notes it imparted where strong but smooth to taste. loved it
Full flavored. No bitterness. Nutty tones on the front.
Best one we have had so far
A bit on the strong side, but definitely got some caramel and nut notes
loved this coffee. thank you!
This is a DARK roast. I ordered this coffee from the brew queue after setting my filters for “medium” roasted blends. I was bummed when it arrived and right on the bag it says “dark.” I opened the bag and found oily beans. I assumed I had made a mistake so I went back to my brew queue and set the filer for “medium” roasts and this bag again populated in the queue. Do not order this bag unless you like dark roasts.
This was so good!
Tasted much better day 2
One of my favorites so far, as was their Day Tripper.
Khuzema and Katherine
Rating: 3.5/5. We thought it was just ok. Definitely an improvement over what we usually drink (whatever is the cheapest at our local grocery store). We definitely would prefer something stronger to really perk us up in the morning.
Seemed finicky - I had some cups that were very good and others that just didn't come out good. I definitely didn't like this one in the aero press, it was better in the Kalita
A smooth, easy drinking selection. This is definitely one of the best coffees I've received via MistoBox. There was a subtle nuttiness in the after taste which was actually quite nice. A really enjoyable coffee!
Pretty standard coffee. It wasn’t very exciting, but tasted good and did the job. The beans themselves smell amazing.
It was good, nothing special stood out...but a good coffe.
Kim and Chris
Between OK and Good. A little bit too simple and straightforward.
This is a decent coffee. “Simple and straightforward” is a good descriptor. I’d be happy to serve it to a big group at breakfast. I’m glad I tried it, but this is probably not one I will return to again.
Freshly ground and via pourover
Solid nutty and roasty flavor! Very very smooth and drinkable. Why not 5 stars? Not as strong with the fresh nutty notes as the Day Tripper. But overall a very solid coffee.
One of the best coffees that I've ever had
This blend is hitting almost all the notes it described. It is on the slightly darker roast, a little bit in-your-face, but I do like it in the morning to help wake me up.
Not a big fan.
The coffee started out as a five star product with full body and nuanced flavors. Then over the next few days the product degraded and develop some bitterness.
I think it might have been the caramel
Bit of burnt and strong taste. Tried brewing at different strengths but it didn’t matter.
Excellent. I love it!
Love Globe Trotter. Day Tripper was my previous favorite, and this one did not disappoint. Good Folks know what they are doing!
My favorite batch so far!
Not quite excellent, but very good. A very classic tasting cup of coffee, easy to dial into the grinder, and perfect for the season.
really good for a "dark roast". It has the tasting complexity but not so heavy. I drink this black because the tasting notes are so flavorful. Well done.
it was good with proper roasting level, acid and body l liked
We loved it. Absolutely perfect.
Nice cup of coffee.
Smooth and delicious
This coffee was great, especially if you make it a little stronger.
Good, medium flavor strength, not bitter
LOVED THIS ONE!
Solid everyday choice. Notes are accurate. Nothing that earns another purchase.
Great Coffee, made best with V60 Pour over
I liked the subtle nutty flavor. I was hoping for a tad more boldness however.
Pretty good and rich at the beginning, seemed to go stale quickly. I do really like this roaster, their coffees all have a similar nutty chocolaty taste.
Really good rich without being bitter
Good flavor but too light for my taste. I had to brew it on “strong” setting and I liked it better. Light Carmel and nutty finish. Overall good :)
I don’t like dark roast.
Favorite so far! Has everything we are looking for - just right boldness, caramel...perfect.
Good flavor, but once again found that it was a little too light for my taste.
I thought this was just ok. Sort of a muddy taste but made better cold brew than pour over.
Would love to see something processed a little differently next time - like a honey wash if possible. Thanks!
Just a bit too bold. Great smell.
Deep flavor and you could taste the nutty caramel notes. Worked well when brewed through my cold brew pitcher!
Has earthy notes. Wet paper. Not my fav so far.
Smooth and chocolate-y, but too bitter at the end. Would love to try something more Medium-Light.
love, great flavor
Just a little fruit; which was nice.
Really good!!! Smooth not acidic or bitter. Could us just a bit more flavor but last two selections have been solid
Great caramel notes and the nutiness wasn't overwhelming. A very nice cup of coffee.
A little darker than I'd like.
Don't like it.
Kind of an acrid note to it–reminds me of grocery store coffee.
Great coffee. Tasting notes are exactly as described.
Proved to be way too stout and rich for my taste.
It wasn't great for making a pour over but this turned out to make a very nice cold brew.
Nice aroma, nice coffee, would like it to be a bit more robust or dark and yet REMAIN smooth. Would say this is the best so far.
I loved this coffee! It tastes like there are hints of caramel to me. Very good. My favorite so far.
Great coffee, good flavor, bold and smooth and just enough sweetness.
Smell is outstanding. Flavor is a little too mild for me (it’s good, I just want more flavors)
Good - solid coffee. I liked the mildness of it. It could have more flavor though.
I like this one a lot. It's got a rich, clean flavor that is unmarred by the muddiness that some coffees have, which I can only describe as the taste equivalent of static. I can taste the chocolate, but if I had to give it one adjective I'd use bright. Delicious, too.
Amazing. great flavors. smooth. light acidity
Great beans, great flavor!
I like this overall. I wish the flavors were just a bit bolder
This is a flavor profile that I would prefer to avoid. My first cup had very strong nutty flavors that I would prefer to avoid at all costs. I ended up giving half of this bag to a friend who prefers this style coffee. Please avoid these moving forwards
excellent, very well-balanced - dominant dark/bitter flavor with a bit of a sweet aftertaste. also the bag is probably the best I've seen - 'traditional' shape coffee bag, generous amount of material above the metal band (easy to cut/open and still fold over the band), slightly wider body than most bags (large opening, easy to scoop), well-positioned vent hole, tough material that's slick and doesn't bunch up.
This was definitely a great cup of coffee. I could taste a lot of the flavors that are advertised and the coffee leaves you coming back for me. I'm excited to continue to try similar coffees like this one. Great pick Seth! I would like to try something with a smoky/roasty taste.
We liked this one, especially for the flavor notes.
Was a little darker then I typically like, but it was good and I added a little coconut oil to balance it out for my liking. I also mixed the last of our beans from our bag of Kickapoo and this one in my grinder and it ended up being a great blend. The Kickapoo was too light for us and this was slightly too bold.
This was, by far, the best coffee we've received so far. Excellent bold flavor, the aroma and roastiness of the beans were evident, and this even exceeds the Dillanos Special Dark. This is the only coffee I've ever tasted that purports to have chocolate notes that I could actually taste chocolate. Of anything we've had from Mistobox so far, this was our favorite! We were pleased with this!
I liked the darker roast this time. More like this!
Very nice coffee! Although a lighter roast than I typically like, I enjoyed the nuttiness, chocolate flavor and the notes of toffee at the end.
We both thought this was a good bean.
Personally preferred the Red Rooster's French Roast Organic Blend, but very good and quite complex. Wife loved this one.
Really enjoyed this one. Definitely a darker coffee and can pick up the brown sugar/nutty flavors.
Description wise this is the perfect coffee - sugar, dark chocolate, and nutty flavors - but the flavor profile is not as strong as I would've liked. I still enjoyed it and would definitely drink it again (and anything with a similar flavor profile).
Update, in a french press this coffee is hard to beat! Honestly unimpressive otherwise but on point in a french press!
I felt the initial bite which is excellent and good body but the end note was too floral (maybe not the right word) and sweet for me. I like something that has a stronger body and a little less of the sweet ending. I don't want to shudder but I do want it be distinct This coffee also brewed a bit lighter than I had hoped. I use the pour over method.
I like a little darker and bolder. Will try brewing in French Press and see if that makes a difference. A little light and bitter for my taste on first pass. Thanks! (I generally drink Dark Italian Roast almost exclusively)
Turns out I do not like nutty taste
Light & balanced
A good, solid coffee that I could drink daily. It's just not amazing or got that special something.
excellent- dark and rich,
I can definitely taste the caramel and nut influences in this blend. Strong blend. Good coffee but doesn't blow me away. I don't get depth from it.
Really happy with this cup. Tons of flavor as described, perfect for someone who loves dark coffee. Best cup yet.
Too sweet. Would not call this full bodied. Was rather mellow on the finish as opposed to robust as I prefer. An average coffee that is not in line with my taste. Would not buy.
Exactly what I like. Might be best ever.
Visually, this coffee was not as dark as I typically prefer when I look for a good dark roast; however, it managed to bring a unique taste to the table that I could not quite place. It was somewhere between a good medium and a good dark roast. This coffee grew on me a bit more each day. Very interesting roast for sure.
Did not like the taste! Btw, my preference is medium roast!
This was a really good coffee to take on a road trip to San Antonio.
really great chocolate back to the bold initial flavor. very soothing first cup each day.
Like it! Definitely a simple blend, not too complicated with the flavors. At first I noticed a slight "metal" taste, but after awhile I assumed that was the dark chocolate flavor. Overall, good blend.
Strong but not as strong as the Tatoosh, but stronger than the Infrared, the bitterness wasn't too bad on this one.
The chocolate flavor did not come through very strong. Personally, I was glad for that as I am not a fan of chocolate in my coffee. The nutty flavors were enjoyable.
This is a little light as far as dark roasts go, but it's very easy to drink. I've shared with people who prefer light roasts, and they all like it. Almost syrupy, this coffee is indeed quite nutty with a slight hint of caramel.
Brewed with a french press...good full body dark roast. Flavor falls off on the back end and lacks character after a few sips.
Loved the chocolate flavors.
Not oily or bitter, although I do like oily and bitter. This is still good. Smooth mouthfeel, flavor doesn't shine through with cream and honey added. More medium bodied to me.
Love it! Great sweet, full flavor.
Great rounded flavor, does excellent via machine drip or espresso
Quite good. I'm not sophisticated enough to get too much deeper but I would recommend this and buy it.
The description says "simple and straightforward", which is exactly what I wanted. This is a good old mouthful of flavor that pleases. I would say it has an emphasis on the "midrange", not as much on sweetness or burnt flavors. I like that, but want to explore some other blends as well.
Well balanced, great flavors.
Rose & Bob
Loved this coffee. The flavor stayed and almost increased as you drank a cup. Not sure this would be my go to coffee every morning but rather an afternoon cup.
Very good coffee
Very good coffee. Relatively Bold flavor, not bitter. Good body.
a good medium dark blend.. looking forward to the next selection
Just a meh coffee. Very average
I prefer a little milder tasting coffee. Just a good blend of coffees.
Very enjoyable cup of coffee
I love the rich, chocolate-y flavor of this coffee. Incredibly fresh and delicious. Maybe a little too rich to drink every morning, but a great weekend brew.
Very bold coffee. It was difficult to identify the caramel flavor but still a very good coffee. Maybe a medium blend next?
This coffee was a delicious surprise! I was a little worried about how dark this roast was but it turned out being amazing. It is so smooth and rich it knocked my coffee-socks off. Definitely one of my new favorites.
So good! One of my favorite bags I have received!
This is a pretty good cup, but not standout. 3.5 stars
Really good! Love the nutty flavor.
Prefer last week.
Great Body and flavor with a mild finish
Good but it didn't sweep me off my feet. I did appreciate that it had no bitterness
This coffee was a perfectly timed flavor. With the holidays cuisine including heavy flavors and food, this coffee provided a light change each morning. While it is an intense roast, I found the chocolate hints and the brown sugar front appealing and a nice shift.
Wonderful coffee with subtle chocolate notes. Of the ones sent to me thus far, this is a favorite.
Really like this one. I can see how this is made to appeal to a wide audience. Straight down the middle, but that is nice to wake up to!
