Description
This is the Organic French Roast brought to you by Centri Coffee. Composed of rotating Organic certified coffees from Indonesia and the Americas, Centri's Organic French roast is blended and roasted to yield a rich, substantial cup with a roast-forward character. While this is labeled a French Roast, by our standards this coffee holds up as a true Medium roast rather than a very dark one normally associated with French Roasts.

This was definitely lighter that I expected, more like a medium roast than a french roast. It was fine but unremarkable for me.

A little too dark and bitter for my taste

I don’t care for this one at all. I can’t figure out why. Does it taste burnt to me? Or is it too bitter? Whatever it is, I’m not a fan.
(Still drinking my coffees as hot bloom, cold brew.)
Brewed this hot for my Dad when he came to visit. He loved it!! I had a cup, too and I liked it much better as a hot cup (vs cold brew).
Had it again today as a hot cup, this time with cream and a little sugar, and hot damn was it good!

This one is good but a little bitter. I love French roast. I also love coffee and chicory. From New Orleans so coffee and chicory is common here.

Bold, but not harsh. The dark roast detracts, a bit, from the flavor, but it was expected. Overall, a solid dark roast, as it covers most of the bases, without being a typical acrid dark roast coffee.

I was a little nervous when I saw it was a dark roast, as I tend to not care for dark very much, but I really liked this roast! It tasted great just black and also tasted great with a little creamer. I liked the richness of it.

This is one of the smoothest French Roast coffees we’ve ever had. There’s a subtle sweetness to it and the aroma is remarkable!
