Description
The Sage Hills was blended and roasted for you by Mela Coffee Roasting Company. Washed coffee from Honduras and semi-washed coffee Sumatra were carefully chosen and blended together to develop this signature blend. The resulting cup is full bodied, rich and syrupy with earthy notes of sage and cedar complemented by notes of baking spice, caramel and roasted nuts.

Good, but wasn't anything special like the Vero was.

This is a great alternative coffee to the usual - the baking spices give it a unique flavor. Goes well with a savory breakfast. I don’t feel like it’s an “everyday” coffee but a great unique blend to try.

Earthy upfront,but nothing especial about the flavor just flat. As for the end it is too bitter/acidic.

Not fruit-forward as Guatamalan coffee can be, and not single dimension "I said coffee" Columbian. Unique and pleasant blend to discover a range of spices beyond chocolate.

Tasty blend. You have the acidity, but also noticing the herbal and roasty notes. My favorite so far!
2nd Try Update:
Wanted to try this coffee again with my french press. I don't know if it was the difference in the roasting process or the effect of the french press, but this did not impress as much on second try.

my favorite so far - had a little more of that punchy coffee feel. maybe this one has extra acidity?

Very well balanced, best in Kalita Wave to bring out the spices. Big bloom in pour over, very fresh.

A tasty dark roast, very spice heavy. Showed best in a pour over and Aeropress.
