Description
The Songbird Blend Fair Trade & Organic was blended and roasted for you by Tony's Coffee. This coffee is a custom blend of Fair Trade and Organic certified coffees from Central and South America and Indonesian islands. Songbird is a blend of medium and dark roasted coffees to bring out notes of dark chocolate, vanilla and a subtle smoky finish with a full, round body.

I selected this roast because I had never tried a coffee that was a blend of different roasts, and the mixed reviews got me curious. I love it! It is very flavorful, balanced and full bodied. I usually drink dark roast coffee, so I was skeptical about the light roast being incorporated, but it's great!

Tastes overoasted and oily. Even fresh brewed it had a stale taste (even though it smelled ok).

Love it. Beans are dark and oily, very aromatic, and they brew into a rich, dark, nutty coffee. Not only can you feel good about choosing organic, fair trade coffee, but it is delicious! One of our favorites so far!!

Still has some acidity to it, but not as strong compared to light roasts. Tastes like a balanced cup.

This was an oily bean with a bitter taste. We tried several different grind rates for a better flavor but could not make it work. This wasn't for us.
