This is the Super Ego brought to you by Thou Mayest Coffee Roasters. The Super Ego features coffees from Brazil and El Salvador. Thou Mayest took their versatile Alter Ego blend and developed the roast longer to bring you a richer and deeper version of one of their most popular coffees.
This was a lot smokier than I like. It was fine, but I wouldn't do it again.
Pretty darkly roasted. Needs a tad coarser grind for espresso to not clog. Can be syrupy and bitter with a shorter pull. Milk helps a lot with the bitterness.
The coffee arrived in a poorly sealed bag. The beans smelled plastic-y and stale, also tasted stale. It would be great if a replacement bag could be sent or a credit could be honored as this coffee was thrown out.
Different packaging but amazing body and smooth taste with little acidity. Great for French press
Good coffee but brewed too bitter for us
Did not like as an expresso, didn't smell that good.
Wow! This is the full bodied coffee you are looking for! Super rich and deep flavors that linger around a long time. One of my favorites so far.
Cindy actually liked it!
Way too roasty for my taste. I like a much lighter roast even for espresso
Earthy aroma and taste, slight bitter aftertaste
Unpleasant aftertaste, More dark than med
Rich delicious flavor!
Chocalety, rich, little nutty a good balanced medium roast. In the top three coffees I’ve ever had.
Coffee was already a week old before they shipped it, but the flavor of the coffee is pretty good. I don't think I would ever order this again.
This is the flavor profile I am looking for. This is one of the best coffees I had had in awhile. Please send me more like this! I will clear my que and you pick the next shipments.
Missed it n something. Somewhat harsh for my stomach
Decent coffee, sort of one note for me. I was expecting a bit more from the flavor profile than what I got. Makes a pretty good espresso, I ended up making most of the bag that way rather than through my Chemex.
Excellent flavor but also rather flat. Not too much interesting going on
Good flavor, a little mellow for my taste. Would prefer a little more bold flavor
Too bitter. I've been trying different grinds/water temps/brew times for this bean since I got it, and was never able to taste the chocolate notes or bring the bitterness down.
Almost 4.5. Rich chocolaty & smooth.
Dark and rich and chocolatey - this is how I like it. Not bitter at all. Damn good. One of the best yet.
A bit more roasty tasting than preferred. A rich cup that welcomes half & half without losing its flavor.
