This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Good Folks Coffee will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
The Day Tripper Blend was blended and roasted for you by Good Folks Coffee. Coffees from Colombia and Peru were carefully chosen and blended together. Simple and straightforward, this coffee is intended to appeal to a wide audience of coffee lovers. Chocolate and caramel notes are the stars in this smooth, rich and balanced blend, this coffee is perfect for enjoying any time of day.
East drinking dessert. Caramel and vanilla notes very pronounced.
Couldn’t even drink it
Ashlynn Rickord and
Nice flavor & good aroma.
Delicious smell and taste!
I’m sure folks enjoy this, but we did not. Flavored coffee makes me gag, and the vanilla Carmel flavor was a bit too close to that for us. Again I’m not wanting to leave a bad review on what I am sure some will find to be a nice coffee... but we could not drink it.
Decent but doesn't have the body of fast track. Fast track is their best blend.
The creaminess and chocolate notes are phenomenal in this blend. A very smooth, drinkable coffee - satisfied both coffee drinkers in our house.
I liked this one.
A little lighter than we prefer - like darker, richer more full bodied coffees.
Julie & Aaron
Solid cup of coffee with smooth finish
Really good medium roast. Perfect for espresso
Rowena and Noah
Loved it. Smelled amazing and drank really smooth
All the floral notes were overpowered by an acidic, bitter finish
This one was my favorite of the 3. It was nice and smooth and dark.
Not great. I was unimpressed with this blend. Still prefer my Starbucks or Peets over this coffee.
I had no idea you could actually taste the oils in coffee before. I've always had cheap stuff like folgers and at the fanciest Peets, compared to those guys this stuff was so complex and tasty!
Perfect blend of coffee. You hit the nail on the head!!!
liked it, both as espresso and drip
Easy drinker, nothing stands out too much either way as far as taste. Slightly acidic.
Taste improved when more coffee was used.
nice classic cup.
It wasn't a bad coffee, per se, but it seemed bland - the flavor didn't have the richness or pop that I really prefer (and that I feel like a French Press is really good at pulling out). All that said, I don't mind finishing the bag at all!
Great coffee anytime. Smooth, not too strong. Hints of flavor without taking away from a great coffee taste.
A little more bold than hoped for, but a great brew for sure. Pour over.
Easy to drink, crowd pleaser kind of coffee. Exactly what I expected. Not as vibrant as what I would have chosen myself but overall I really enjoyed it.
A little too sweet for my tasye
Super easy drinker. Rich and smooth. Notes of chocolate and malt.
way too dark and wasn't a fan. Better as an espresso than pourover but still equally as bad
Very good easy draining morning cup
Excellent choice. Very flavorful. Not too strong.
The coffee is very good, I would give 4.5 stars if possible. As I am learning my roasts, this one is pretty mild and I think a tad bit bolder would be terrific.
Super smooth, not too complex and really nice coffee all around. Made an awesome cold brew as well.
Super easy drinking and balanced, I just prefer things a little on the fun side. Great every day cup, just not that interesting.
Good but nothing really stood out
A bit bland.
A couple members of my family found it bitter. Some felt it lacked body. Didn't hate it but wouldn't seek it out again.
Flat, watery taste. Went heavy on the beans and steeping time on the French press too. Definitely not a medium roast coffee- should’ve been a VERY light roast. Little to no hints of any Carmel or chocolate. Overall disappointed.
Very flavorful and smells good too
Full flavor, Carmel
It's very strong on the vanilla. It grows on you; however, I wouldn't pick it up again just based on personal taste.
I loved the flavors! I think I may enjoy something a little more bold in flavor. It tasted very light and was very enjoyable to drink.
Enjoyed this rich smooth coffee
It’s really tasty! Lots of good flavors and awesome aroma. A little on the mild side of our preferences, but we typically skew towards darker roasts. Can’t wait for the next recommendation!
Well-rounded and caramelly
Loved! So smooth!
Very tasty! Would definitely want to try similar types of coffees.
Good but not great. I think I would like something a little bolder/stronger
Very good, smooth with a sweet after taste that's very subtle.
pretty good. Not sure what I’m looking for exactly but this is right up my ally. It’s a bit more acidic and lighter not sure if that is even the right way to capture it but excited to see how the next one compares.
Not a medium bodied brew, more light and not as much flavor as I hoped for.
Didn’t taste much like coffee or anything for that matter . Very neutral and not good on any level .
Good but not my favorite
good flavor and aroma
I like a little more body and intensity. However, it is very excellent coffee.
It was the kind of coffee I enjoy, it was rich and delicious. It produces a nice, clean cup of coffee each time, with clear, distinct flavors! <3
Too much of a "girly" flavor. I usually just drink as espresso.
A little too mellow for my tastes- not bad, but not a ton of flavor.
I think I would like to try a darker one
mellow and easy to drink. maybe too easy?
I enjoyed this blend. I particularly liked how it had a bit of oiliness that coats your tongue.
Really loved it! Smooth! Had trouble tasting the subtle flavors but I enjoyed it overall!
1st-Wasn't impressed but Im no coffee connoisseur. I regularly have 8 o'clock coffee and DouieEgbert coffee. They are mild and sweet before adding cream or sugar. Beans smell delicious inside the bag, and when brewing. This is as important as tge taste!
2nd-Bag labeled Vanilla & Caramel. Chocolate not mentioned as it is here. This coffee, for being so fresh, didn't smell that good, almost burnt odor. I tasted no "notes" of Chocolate, caramel, or Vanilla. Not rich. I used drip method. Will try french press next. It wasn't horrible though, Ill definitely finish the bag. Too strong, perhaps, for my tastes.
Okay flavor, a little too light for me
Smooth and easy-to-drink, the Day Tripper Blend could easily become a daily favorite. I loved that this roast wasn't overly acidic and that the caramel notes provided a rich taste. From the moment I opened the bag and smelled the beans, I was excited to brew this roast.
Zach & Madison
SO good, very middle ground flavor in the best way. the flavor added to the beans was really nice!
A little too light for our taste
Gotta love day tripping. Thank u for the experience!
Tasty but a bit too light and fruity
This coffee was great! I enjoyed the lightness and clean flavor.
A little bit bitter. Otherwise perfect.
Paula and Jeremy
It is too weak.
I thought this coffee was fantastic
Smells wonderful. Hints of chocolate and caramel are lovely. Overall, tho, kinda meh.
It was just a little on light side. When I used more scoops than I usually do it was great.
Brewed first pot this morning, it's good and has a nice caramel flavor but it's not strong enough.
Please send a "richer" brew next month. Thanks
Good, but not exciting to me. Blends tend to be somewhat muddy tasting to me - harder to distinguish specific flavor profiles. Chocolate/caramel are not my faves (in coffee) unless very forward.
Hard to explain, very boring taste that doesn't really align with the profile of "chocolate, caramel, & rich". Perhaps it is a bit too sweet
Very nice, and very light -- though perhaps a bit too light. I loved the low acidity but a touch on the bolder side would be perfect.
It tastes good, like an easy cup of coffee to drink, but is also a little uninteresting. More distinctive notes would be welcome!
Liked the texture, full round flavors no bitterness
It was a good place to start. Solid coffee.
Good solid, bold coffee. Enjoyed the smooth chocolate and caramel notes.
Chocolate and caramel notes gave it a light flavor yet still bold and rich.
I liked it. Was flavorful enough where I wasn’t using as much sugar as usual.
A beautiful coffee! Smooth Carmel goodness all around! Love!!!
It was a little lighter in flavor would want something a bit richer .
A little too acidic and bright for my taste.
Well balanced and delicious!
This coffee was a little bright and acidic for me.
Loved this coffee! It was very smooth and easy!
Good. Nice and light in flavor
Really enjoyed. Read a lot of reviews that said this was too light. Not so, very good and extremely drinkable throughout the day.
Great quality, just a little light on the taste for me.
Too acidic for me
I really enjoyed this coffee. I do not tend to like coffee when it is hot. There is still a bitterness to this coffee when hot. However, when it is cooled the citrus really comes through and I enjoyed it a lot when it was cool.
Pretty good. A little acidic but I like acidic. A tiny but smoother would be perfect but this was really delicious. I will probably buy more from them in the future.
My husband and I enjoyed the subtle caramel flavor however the coffee lacked depth, we both described it as ‘coffee flavored tea’
Good overall. Used with French press. A little plain/light. Would be interested in trying something with a little stronger flavor.
Not bad, but too acidic for my taste.
Smooth and delicious
Smells delicious!!! Well balanced, we could def taste the caramel. We prefer a little more dark roast but all in all was great.
Was good overall, would like to try a darker roast next time
This was good but perhaps a bit too light-bodied for me.
Really liked this one
Good coffee. Tasting notes were spot on. Nothing mind blowing or unique but a very well rounded coffee and a good everyday brew.
Dean & Becca
Decent, need a little more coffee flavor
Overall very good. Definitely got the caramel and vanilla with maybe some chocolate at the end as well. A solid coffee if just a little straightforward.
Good flavor. I like it
Love the lighter flavors and the low acidity!
Loved this one.
Actually orderd more online
Sturdy, smooth, slightly vanilla sweet.
Pretty weak coffee, even on highest grind setting. Not much body or flavor profile
It was average. Not great but not bad either.
Excellent! Very full bodied. Great match with the Aeropress.
My favorite so far!
I absolutely loved this blend and will definitely buy a larger bag of it soon. It was so smooth! I was a bit sad when I finished the bag this morning.
Solid cup of coffee, nothing wrong with it. Have no problems using the bag. Just wanted more finish.
I loved this one. Full and complex. Excellent balance of fruity and nutty tastes.
Lisa and Terry
love this for the taste and the name
I like this coffee - I turned up the strength on my coffee grinder to make it a little bolder and liked it even better.
Nice, smooth drinking coffee. Good caramel notes
This coffee is worth having any time of the day. Pairs well with Almond biscottis.
Overall a good blend that was well balanced and worked in different brewers. Would like to try more fruity/citrus coffees instead of rich/chocolate/spice coffee. Feels like all of my curator picked coffees have been the same.
Great taste, not too strong. Love this blend.
I was expecting the richness to come through based on the description. It ended up being generically "okay" with not much distinct to it.
Loved it! Didn’t need to add milk or sugar. Lots of flavor but not bitter or sweet.
I've only had a chance to try it once so far, and I didn't find it as nuanced as I'd like. However, I do enjoy the chocolate/caramel notes!
Chris & Nikki
Overall the flavor was good, but it felt like it was missing a fullness. Like it could have been a little more robust. If it helps as a point of reference, our favorite coffee ever is Blue Heeler by Colectivo.
I really loved it, but too early to give out 5 stars. :)
Good taste, balanced. Roast level of beans was fine. Needed more coffee than normal to get flavor.
Very mellow and inoffensive. Good for a crowd with various likes.
Great coffee although it was easy to drown out the flavor if I added just a touch too much cream to it.
Good but taste was on weak side. The notes of the favors did not come through when brewed. Not horrible but not a favorite. Smelled great before brewing but was disappointed with brewed coffee.
It is a fine coffee. I like the malty-sweet flavors that it provides as well as the sheer drinkability of it. It tends to be very much on the sour side when brewed with a french press. It also doesn't do too well when iced and ends up tasting flat.
Overall, it's a good session coffee for study sessions or social gatherings where the coffee is not the center of attention.
I don't understand why 'rich' is a descriptor. However, it's a mild pleasant experience; bright, chocolate and toasted bread.
I wouldn't buy it again, but it was no hardship to drink it.
Great balanced blend. No bitter after taste.
Very smooth and balanced. Maybe looking for something a little bit more unusual!
Solid cup of coffee, but a bit lighter than I typically go for. I prefer something more robust.
I liked this, I was bright and drinkable. But it made me realize I may prefer a darker roast for the next delivery.
Lovely Medium Roast.
Really liked it!
Really nice and even in my chemex. Chocolate was there for sure...I would be totally happy with this in the overall mix of coffees I drink. I would like to see more fruit flavors, maybe predominately, in what you guys send me, but I really dug this one! Super aromatic when ground too...probably the best smelling coffee I've tried since I got into this whole process recently.
I thought it was a really well balanced coffee. Not bitter. Easy to drink with no cream or sugar.
Nice aroma and color. On the lighter end medium-dark spectrum. Enjoy the nutty and caramel taste.
Awesome coffee. So smooth and delicious
A little darker than I'm used to, but good favor
Medium quality blend
The flavor and smell are great, but I would have liked it to be a bit richer and more robust.
Great coffee! Great tones of chocolate and well balanced. Would drink it again for sure!
Liked it - no bitterness, which I love and works well as a decaf mix.
Edit: I increased my last batch to 10:1 water/coffee ratio and was happier with my results.
Good taste. A bit weak.
Good taste, however it came out a little weak in my French Press. I tried 15:1 ~ 12:1 water ratios. Perhaps it would be better with finer grounds and pour over, over if I increased it to 10:1 ratio.
Not bad; brewed a bit weaker than expected in both french press and auto drip. Used medium-coarse to medium-fine grinds with much more than normal grounds; still came out a bit weak.
On the plus, tasted great any time of day.
Not bad, but definitely not wowed. Started at 20 grams and had to increase to nearly 30 to really get the strength I usually enjoy in my cleaver dripper. Thought it was pretty thin, not at all rich and not really picking up on chocolate or caramel.
My first impression was that this was somewhat non-descript. I think the level of roast could have been darker. I liked the subtle chocolatey flavor but it was very subtle. I also tried it as an espresso shot and felt it to be acidic.
It was a little too rich.
Delicious. Love this one.
It's a really good balanced cup of coffee! Excited to keep trying others and maybe find one that has some edge to it.
Wasn't love at first cup; however, as I spent more time with it - I have really come to enjoy it. Would consider this to be an ultra light roast, which is very different from what I am accustom to (a good thing). Enjoying the process and introduction to new coffee(s). Thanks, Sam!
A great, smooth cup of coffee that is a higher quality version of what you would call “normal” flavor. Not something I would drink black necessarily due to the lack of specific flavor since it is a blend, but held up well to a bit of half and half with sugar, and was something I enjoyed the whole morning. I’ve had it 3 times now, playing around with pour over and grind. The wife also really enjoyed it. Something like this could easily be my staple coffee, with other more exotic flavors being an occasional pleasure.
I liked it tasted good iced. Black and hot. I would prefer a coffee with a little more flavor and stronger. After I adjusted the amount of coffee I'm very satisfied with the taste. i can taste chocolate and caramel notes. I'm for trying different tastes so fill my Queue accordingly.
Superb taste. Smooth at first, but punctuated with a pang of flavor. It reminds me of the coffee once served at an old pancake shop in town. I would add this to my fave list.
Good taste, but is not a strong coffee. I've grown up on Cuban coffee, bustellos. It required two coffees to feel the affects.
Melissa & Mark
A little lighter roast than I typically like, but was great as an iced coffee!
This coffee is amazing! I would definitely order it again! Waaay better than Starbucks and Caribou! LOVE IT!
Good flavor. Could be richer and more robust. Enjoying it very much.
Nice full flavor, great smell (caramel), smooth
Tasted like chemicals.....or coffee you would get at a cheap coffee shop....did not care for it. Like rich bold smooth nutty flavor that taste like it smells. Thank you.
LOVE THIS COFFEE!! If you ever need to resend one, this is it!!!
Tastes good, but maybe a little light on the flavor side.
Very balanced and smooth. Could taste the caramel flavor but it wasn't too overwhelming.
This is the first coffee I received so I don't have anything to compare it to.
I thought it was great. I loved the hint of a flavor without it being too overwhelming & artificial. Great blend!
Prefer a darker roast and not as flavored.
It was smooth.
The coffee was wonderful. Very balanced and smooth. We loved the chocolate flavor and that it wasn't too overwhelming.
Asked Anne what notes she detected and she said “cigarettes”. I personally thought it tasted like sawdust.
Good. Liked the subtle flavors
Good, caramelly, I enjoyed it, but enjoyed it more when I ground the beans finer so the brew was darker. I enjoy darker roasts traditionally but this one was delicious! Would buy it again.
Was a little too sweet or fruity for me. A little bit of a darker medium roast might be better next time. Thanks!
The coffee was really good and great for everyday. I do wish it has more body and depth.
nutty with a smooth rich finish.
Balanced and smooth. I didn't find it to be all that rich, which is a good thing.
Nice and smooth. Sweet notes can be tasted from the get go so don't sweeten too much or at all.
With sugar tastes good, little bitter otherwise.
So weak. Did not like at all
Great coffee. Pour over is excellent. Will try French Press next. Wonderful with cream and sugar. Roast level was good. Loved the chocolate flavor. One of the most drinkable coffees I've had.
Excellent coffee - wonderful aroma right out of the bag and very smooth to drink. We made it using our french press and the flavor has been so good to wake up to in the morning.
very good taste, but could be a just a little stronger - by the time cup is less than half full, seems like the flavor fades. could be just me.....
Aroma was great. I usually like a little darker roast, however the taste was bolder than it appeared. I don’t usually care for flavored coffee but it was not overpowering in this brew.
This was the perfect roast, I wouldn’t want anything lighter but would definitely try something similar or darker. I really liked the flavor of this one.
The chocolate and caramel certainly come through. I liked it, but I think my tastes may be somewhat seasonal, and I think I would have enjoyed this more during the winter months. For my next one, I'd like to try something a little less rich.
Love the taste!! Definitely my kind of coffee. Would like to try a light roast, though.
We like this one very much. Easy to drink. We are looking to try different coffees so mix it up a little for us.
I liked it. smooth and easy to drink. It was an easy first pick because the flavors are common.
A bit light in character. Warm overtones were nice but a full taste of caramel or chocolate was faint. My family and I did not taste the "rich". We pourover brewed each cup using extra coffee : water and it still tasted a bit weak.
The first brew was blunt and tasted a bit burnt. Adjusting brew methods led to enjoyable cup with a decent aftertaste, but still leaned toward the bitter and lacked complexity.
4.5 star very good :) on the light end for a medium roast. slight sourness as a pour over, perhaps my technique. very good flavor palette.
I found the coffee smooth, aromatic, easy to drink, but not especially interesting or compelling. It lacked some level of intensity that I would prefer
Good, still browsing for something different.
We loved this - we're not the most sophisticated coffee drinkers but enjoyed the balance & smoothness of this blend. My only note would be that we'd be interested in trying something that was a little more flavorful, but could be our grind settings.
Tastes light for a medium roast. Good acidity. Easy drinkability. Overall taste was pleasant but I usually like something a little stronger.
I liked this blend, and would drink it again but didn't love it. I got notes of lightly burned toast, and the nuttiness.
Can certainly taste the caramel and vanilla. This truly is a coffee that you can drink at any time of day. Like the flavor profile at the beginning, however, the coffee tastes sour at the end, I did not like that. Has a very easy, smooth and rich taste to it which I enjoyed. This is a coffee that I wouldn’t mind introducing to someone who was not accustomed to drinking coffee. A good coffee overall
I thought this was a little acidic. Not great for making Toddy Cold Brew... first sip I was like WOAH and not in a great way... mellows out and tastes better with half and half but I wasn't crazy about it.
The wife liked it - so that's really all that matters.
Smooth. Slightly sweet when black.
I enjoyed how smooth it was and very easy to blend with a cream flavoring. Overall this was a great first coffee as I believe it was a safe choice to send.
Great cup of coffee. Just a bit of a lighter taste - so not as bold/rich as advertised. I would recommend it.
I not a big fan of the caramel undertones. Very smooth, but too
for my taste.
Great! Loved the blend, one of tops.
A little light on flavor. Smooth and easygoing but could use a lot more body to it.
We liked it a lot! Generally it was very sweet which was pleasant but probably wouldn’t want every time.
It was okay. Couldn't consistently get a good flavor, either too dull or too bitter
Maybe a little too mild for my tastes, but a wonderful blend! Smooth with a strong caramel taste and chocolate notes. Something I could see myself coming back to when I want a light and reliable cup, but not necessarily a coffee I would enjoy daily. At the moment I am into bolder flavors.
Was definitely lighter than how I like my coffee. Liked the hint of chocolate!
Good! Pleasant flavor. Body/mouth feel is kind of thin. Maybe I used too much water in the pour? Idk...
EDIT: Actually this is really good. After living with it for a while, Im really liking the flavor. I mixed it with a blander coffee that has more body and its perfect and still flavorful and I can drink it all day. Nice!
Good, but a little too mild. would prefer a bolder taste.
Definitely a smooth blend - a great starter coffee!
First impression: "uh oh...this smells like I really won't enjoy it." But, I was wrong. I have definitely enjoyed it, although I'm not super crazy about it. I can totally appreciate the blend- its very well balanced, I think the roast was fine, it just wasn't my favorite. Smoothness was good, not very bold though. Definitely not burnt, the smell is borderline sour to me which I do not like. I'm definitely going to drink every bit of it, its just not that great to my palette.
The caramel notes are there, the taste is smooth and even, but somehow this one fails to excite me. In the land of 10s this is a 7, but the land of 5s this is a 3.
Very good. Smooth tasting
Really smooth with not a lot of bitterness like I enjoy
I thought it was delicious! I loved getting a quality coffee, and the description actually matched the taste. I liked all of the flavors and notes, especially the smell of the coffee. I would definitely get this coffee again, keep picking them! You're doing great!
Very nice and lightly roasted, the caramel flavor came through very prominently for me, especially after the coffee had cooled.
This coffee is good. I love the flavor. One thing I would change is to make it a little stronger. I have been using more coffee than I normally do. Since I only make 2 cups per day for me I will have beans left over when I get the next coffee and I'll try some blending to see what happens. I think this is going to be fun. Thanks.
Beats the Maxwell House it replaced. Strong enough to make me raise my eyebrows, but not strong enough to make me wince.
This type of coffe tastes sour to me. I am used to drinking french roast, but I thought I would try something different. It didn't work out.
By far the best coffee I've ever had, but it's only one of two that I've ground myself and the other was the Veranda blend from Starbucks that I got as a comparison. I was pleased with how much I enjoyed drinking it black but I don't feel that I can accurately review it when I have so little to compare it to.
I think it is pretty close to the way it's described in roast level and tasting notes. I just typically prefer different notes.
This is not a bean I would have selected for myself, but ended up really loving it. I've never picked one with chocolate, but in the roast...but the flavor was amazing. Great pick and really smooth
Good pretty balanced and mellow. I liked it easy to drink. Liked that that it was balanced and not a lot of acidity I could taste mostly the chocolate flavors which was nice.
The smell of a the beans was very delightful. I did a grind setting of fine. The taste was very smooth. The flavors of the chocolate was very noticeable. Very good first selection of coffee.
Really liked it though found it wasnt as full as i usually like. Will be putting it in my french press next time
Rich, Bold, Good balance.
My favorite so far. Rich and full of flavor, tastes great even when not hot anymore.
Awesome coffee! Just my style.
Not one of my favorites
Thought this was too bitter overall for me.
It was alright. Kind of plain tasting I suppose.
simple and straightforward. great coffee.
I was not wowed by it, but it is very drinkable. Goes down pretty easy, on the mild to medium bodies side.
I really liked it. Has great balance and very smooth.
I really enjoyed it. If I had a request it'd be a touch more body/depth/earthiness/nuttiness. Maybe a touch less bitter.
This is a great coffee. The roast was perfect and really the flavors were great and blended together so smoothly... which would be my only criticism, it was almost too smooth.
We enjoyed this, though a bit mild and subtle in flavor
This was the first coffee I ever ordered and made in a French Press. Although my palate is very inexperienced I would have to say this was a delicious cup of coffee. I generally prefer something a bit darker but for a medium roast it was quite a surprising cup of Joe!
This coffee was very smooth, almost to a fault. In the future, I'd prefer something with a bit more complexity.
This is a great coffee. The coffee is very smooth and easy to drink. The chocolate notes are pronounced. The roast is just right. It is not too dark or oily.
The beans were good. They arrived the same day I left for vacation and didn’t get to try them for week. Bad planning on my part. Overall good roast, still tweaking my pour over method to yield the best cup of coffee. This being said I would like a different roast next time to develop a wider palet for coffee. Thanks!
Smooth and drinkable, but a bit bland. Nothing to complain about, but also nothing much to get excited over.
Brewed in Keurig in a reusable filter. I did not hit STRONG and brewed about a 6 ounce cup filling to the mid-point line. At this point the coffee is a bit bland and weak and the Dunkin Donuts Whole Bean that I now drink far surpasses the taste. I will try a few cups hitting the STRONG setting to see if that helps. I am open to the process of trying coffees out and am not dissapointed. At this point I may lean towards a more full-bodied coffee if I do not enjoy the next few cups. Thanks Seth....MK
Very smooth, not bitter at all. Did not have a whole lot of deep flavor and seemed a bit light. Tasted the caramel and a bit of the chocolate. The flavor did not linger and needed to be more bold and have a bit deeper characteristics. Actually tasted a hint of raspberry. Brewed it 4 days off roast in a Chemex and got a nice bloom.
May need to be ground a bit finer to give it more body.
Liked the smoothness with good balance, smell was good, but was too light.
Good afternoon coffee.
Loved it. But excited for whatever's next as well. I'm terrible at explaining the taste notes but I did notice the slight caramel flavor. I drink it black and with no sugar because I don't like it too sweet, for future reference. This was a great cup of coffee though!
It's a fine coffee and I like the roast level, but it's a touch "plain" to me. I don't find it very "rich" (but that's okay) or chocolatey but more "flat". Very drinkable but not particularly noteworthy.
Jere & Susan
Yes...this is a simple but rich coffee without being heavy. We liked it very much.
The coffee is good but I thought I would be able to detect the carmel or vanilla more than I do. I've always drunk dark roast so I asnwereed the questions to give medium roast a try. I'm not disapointed though and I'm excited to see what comes next month.
My parents like it, very smooth and not bitter. I like also it but wondering if it can’t be more flavorful
So I didn’t really care for this coffee. I found it to be very weak and almost watery no matter how much I added/decreased bean to water ratio. I did a full brim of freshly ground beans and only added 8 cups of water in my drip brewer and it still came out very weak
very good flavor
Randy & Renee
Smells great. Rich and smooth with good body. A really nice coffee that I would get again.
Smooth and not bitter. Did not taste burnt or have a bad aftertaste. Instead it tasted very fresh and the overall flavor was good. But it felt a little flat, like it could have some more depth or complexity to it.
Enjoyed the blend in this coffee, it was good and smooth.
Really enjoyed this coffee, it was smooth and very easy to drink especially early in the morning! Blend provided richness and flavor without too much acidity
Very smooth. Like it a lot but could be just a little less of the chocolate/caramel notes.. Would definitely like to have to again.
I enjoyed the coffee but would prefer something richer. Thanks
Excellent, reminds me of Lone Pine in Bend, Oregon. Great medium weight, morning coffee. Please send more like this.
I enjoyed it very much
I'm not sure that I received this precise coffee. The bag is white, not black as featured above, and the notes say Day Tripper Blend, caramel and vanilla, not chocolate. The coffee wasn't't quite as rich and robust as I like and had an odd acidic aftertaste.
I think this was too lightly roasted for my tastes. I made this in a french press with about 29 grams of to ~500 grams of water, around 1:17, with 205 degree water for 4.5 minutes. It wasn't bad, but to me it tasted more floral and spicy than chocolate or caramel. It's definitely a good general coffee, but not my favorite. It didn't have those good roasty, smokey flavors.
This is such a perfectly, uncomplicated cup of coffee. A pallet cleanser almost.
Great, loved it! Very smooth, smelled good, tasted great. Not too chocolate-y or rich.
I generally liked this coffee, as it was pretty smooth-drinking. There were some bright notes that I liked and tobacco notes that I didn't like so much. I was excited by the caramel and vanilla listed on the package, but that didn't come through so much when I brewed it.
Yummy flavor, and very drinkable. I love coffees with chocolate and caramel notes, and vanilla like the version of this coffee I received.
It has very little acidic flavor, which I enjoy. I just wish the flavors were a little stronger and fuller bodied.
Mild and smooth, reminded me of Vanilla Bean Coffee I have had in the past
I like it! A little oily mouthfeel (but that could just be my brew method!)
I made cold brew with the bean which turned out to be pretty good. But the drip coffee that I made was a little disappointing. My mouth got really dried out when drinking the hot coffee.
I like the hints of flavor and its great for every morning. Definitely like this one.
Max and Liz
Liked the smoothness. Not bitter. Very enjoyable.
Not a favorite. After taste.
Very good balance of bold flavor and smooth taste. A little acidic in my opinion but still very good
Solid everday coffee. Balanced but nothing too exciting going on. Kind of one note. Would prefer something with more complexity.
It was a nice smooth cup, easily drinkable.
Good, complex flavor. Smooth, but runs a bit acidic for my taste.
First impression was great, and continues to be so. I enjoy the smooth, balanced flavors of chocolate and caramel that this blends provides.
Really smooth and mild. You shouldn't need any cream or sugar with this stuff.
The complaints of sourness for this coffee are probably due to under-extraction. The first couple of times I brewed this it was overly acidic, but, when I corrected the grind size, it was much more balanced.
Overall, a good roast. Not overly complex in flavor. Fairly acidic but not at all bitter.
I enjoyed it. Wasnt the most flavorful coffee ive ever had.
Wife really liked it, I did as well, but I like bolder, more flavorful coffees, where she likes this profile. Was good, not bitter, just didn’t get much taste/nuance from it.
Balanced, Neutral, Smooth. Excellent coffee.
Excellent aroma, smooth taste. Solid cup of coffee. I may enjoy some fruity notes a little better.
The website says chocolate and caramel but the bag I got said notes of vanilla. I wish it had been the chocolate and caramel, as it was a little light for my tastes. It also was roasted on the 22nd and I didn't receive it until the 31st, hopefully that is not a standard delivery time.
A lighter roast but balanced. Fruity aromatic. I did not get the chocolate and carmel as the roast was medium light.
Not bad but a little light in roast and flavor.
I loved this coffee! It was very smooth, full bodied with nice chocolate notes and no bitter edge. Please send more like this one.
Okay...a little empty and chocolately for us without enough bold coffee flavor to back it up
Great rich aroma upon opening and grinding. Extremely smooth and easy to drink, although I was hoping for something a little bit stronger. I used the French press, the aero press, and a traditional drip method, and the aero press provided the best results. I like this bean a lot for every day drinking.
It was really good. loved the roast level and flavor
Great flavor and really enjoyed drinking. I really want to give this 5 stars, but need it just a little bolder. Would definitely drink again.
It was good, but I'd like to try a slightly more robust, fuller flavored coffee next time. Thanks.
Tags are Chocolate and Caramel, but I don't think I could really taste it. The taste also varied greatly because of the french press (different cups tasting differently after pour), I would probably prefer a stronger coffee (unless it's the blend technique).
I prefer a bit more flavor (almost like Snickercookie or Donut Shop), so feel free to suggest an alternative for my second shipment as I tend to use whole bean coffee in the evenings with dessert as opposed to mornings, when I used ground coffee for convenience...
Not badly any means but didn’t have as much rich flavor as I would have liked.
This coffee tasted like carrots and acid no matter how I brewed it. Could not pick up on any chocolate or caramel flavors. Tasting notes seemed very inaccurate.
Not strong enough even with extra scoops of coffee added when brewing.
Not full bodied enough for my taste buds. I couldn't pick out the notes of chocolate and caramel. But in general it had some flavor and was okay.
Excellent blend and balance of notes
I enjoyed this coffee more than I thought I would when I first opened the bag! At first glimpse, I thought it would be much to light for my tastes. I typically like a little darker roast but was happy with this one. I enjoyed the smoothness and drinkability of this coffee I found that when I brewed it with an Aeropress It had a slightly sour taste that I didn't care for. But when brewed with my drip machine that was still there but much more subtle and I didn't mind it. I drank this coffee wanting more from it. Although it was an easy drinking coffee I wanted more complexity.
Very good. Not too strong. Caramel and chocolate. Smooth. Balanced.
Easy to drink, very smooth but not enough body, definitely some chocolate in there but not sure about caramel.
Really good! I am really enjoying drinking this coffee. It is a very nice 'everyday' easy-drinker!
It was a good coffee but a little less full bodied than what I prefer.
We have a slight variety of flavor preferences in our office. Though the simple flavor profile is nice, we are missing some acidity and components that would surely come through in a single origin.
I guess I was looking for something with a more bold flavor
We like the smell but taste was on the weaker side
Not a fan of flavored coffee
Good flavor. Not my favorite but still a good cup of coffee.
A smooth and easy drinker. Caramel flavor was decent. I'd be happy to drink this one but will not be hunting it down myself for future purchase. I would like perhaps a slightly more robust body.
Really enjoyed the flavors and balance.
Smoothed and balanced. Just missing a little wow factor to set it apart.
Good medium roast with nice coco and nutty flavors.
I loved this one!
The coffee beans had a great aromas of sweet vanilla, earthy nuts, and caramel, which surprisingly changed, once hand ground. The coffee was brewed in a Chemex drip and was a solid everyday coffee. The coffee had low acidity, which I like, smooth finish, and was one of my first medium roasts in a while which I enjoyed. I do like a little more complexity to my coffee and the coffee lost a lot of it's aroma once brewed which was a bummer as it was so amazing. In the end, great everyday coffee and the beans danced on my nose, but I want a little more flavor in my cup. Keep up the great work!
Phil & Missy
Good flavor and very smooth. Would like to try something slightly bolder with a little more complex flavor. This one is very enjoyable but looking for a little more complexity. Thanks!
Nothing spectacular but more on the ok side. I think I do like that it's easy to drink and quite light, but I wouldn't mind it a bit stronger too.
This was better than the Tony's coffee even though it was less bright (which is a taste I like). It had a really great depth a flavor.
Brewed primarily with an Aeropress this coffee had a nice sweetness to it.
This is a fantastic coffee - different from what I normally drink but keeps all the same elements that I prefer in a great cup - thanks for such an awesome match!
Good, clean, slightly acidy. I might prefer a little bit darker roast.
Carly and Dan
A little too acidic / biter for my taste.
It was good, but it would have been great if it had more depth/weight in its taste. It was surprising to see that the smell of the coffee didn't *pop* once ground.
Great tasting coffee.
I'd give 4.5 if I could. I was really happy with how fresh it seemed and good it smelled and good it tasted. It had a really interesting, signature flavor ... the flavor itself isn't my "perfect coffee" flavor, but I don't need every bag of coffee to be that. :)
Easy drinking and tasty.
Daryl & Kay
Very good. Not bitter. Really enjoyed
It was good -- though I didn't love the notes of vanilla in there, it had the suggestion of it being 'flavored'. And the finish was a *little* bitter.
My husband would likely give this 5 stars; really enjoying it. I think it smells amazing but the taste just isn’t my favorite.
This coffee was too light. I didn't like the caramel, and I was looking for single origin rather than a blend.
Excellent flavor, a little bland, doesn’t seem high in caffeine content
This coffee was very bland to me, even after stepping up the ratio of grounds to water. Perhaps I'm not brewing it the way it was intended, but I didn't get the richness in the description.
The acidity level would probably have been fine in another kind of coffee, but this one was so weak the acidity was too prominent.
I only sweeten my coffee occasionally, though I do like to use half-and-half or whole milk regularly. With this, I resorted to adding flavored syrups to give it a little character.
I think that's my biggest complaint. It just lacks character and I was underimpressed.
The coffee was a good drink, but there was a bitter after taste as well as vary acidic.
I like it
Loved this coffee. The taste was absolutely delicious!!
Kim and Chris
Nice smooth finish
Overall good flavor. Love the combination of chocolate and Carmel.
Stronger than I typically like. Not positive that I really enjoy the blend as it seems to add more of a stronger bean flavor. Prefer more notes of flavor.
Tim & Tina
Really loved the rich caramel toffee notes. This coffee is delicious on its own, but just a little creamer really punches the flavors.
Sorry this is kinda late, I'm bad at checking emails!
Coffee was great, it was a little too acidic for me but not by much. I ended up cutting it a tiny bit with a dark roast that I had. The aromas are great, both from the bag and from the cup.
I absolutely loved it!! And I liked how it had a flavor
Delicious! I could go darker on the roast, probably, but I really liked the flavor of this one, the subtle sweetness, and also the low acidity. I like a smooth coffee, low acid, with hints of chocolate, caramel, vanilla. This one hit the spot! Great choice.
Curtis and Betty
No flavor. Certainly not "rich". Described as
"easy drinker caramel and vanilla" --since we usually like pretty dark or medium dark coffees it may be fine for people who like a lighter flavor. Didn't work for us. May need to update our profile.
Nice coffee but I am not a fan of Chocolate in my coffee so that is why I did not give it a higher rating
For one reason or another this did not work well with my Aeropress. Comes out somewhat watered down. Haven't changed the grind at all. Just not rich enough nor do I get a good sense of the chocolate notes.
Don’t care for any coffee that has chocolate, caramel or any flavored coffee.
Carmelly, and a bit nutty, but I didn’t smell or taste then chocolate. Lighter flavor
Really good! I don't know much about coffee, but I really liked this. Thanks!
Nick & Nicki
Very good. Maybe needs to be a touch stronger.
I enjoyed drinking a medium roast coffee, since I usually do dark roast. The flavors and scent of the coffee beans were delicious.
Emma & Sara
Lovely and smooth
Betty and George
We received the vanilla caramel blend, not the chocolate which may have been better. We didn't care for the vanilla part of the blend. We would like to change to single origin, not blend.
The smell is the first thing to note. So fresh and aromatic but not too fruity/acidic. The same is true for the taste. Definitely a smoother coffee (as opposed to acidic). Really enjoyable
This was a great first coffee to start with. It had a smooth body and a semi-sweet aftertaste. I could smell the bitterness of the chocolate in the grounds, but the taste did not carry over once it was brewed. The initial sip was full-bodied, but not overpowering. There was a nutty flavor I can't identify, but enjoyed.
Good stuff from Good Folks! : )
Lots of flavor-love the vanilla and Carmel notes-wished it was a little stronger.
This was good.
Wondering if you can create a hazelnut flavored blend?
Good but would like little bolder
Well-balanced and great morning coffee. I liked the flavor a lot, even though it was stronger/darker than I might have picked out for myself.
First pot tasted very good initially but had little aftertaste. However, the second pot was very tasty. Must have been the way I prepared it. I like it very much.
I liked this, I'd say this is the kind of coffee I want to try more of.
Easy to drink, very balanced coffee. I get some of the caramel but not the richness. Might be a little bit too light?
Very good coffee. Aroma really carried the caramel. Caramel and chocolate come through without covering the taste of coffee. Also could taste vanilla. Maybe just a little too sour or acidic on the back end if that makes sense. Good roast, I wouldn't mind something a little darker but definitely nothing "wrong" or "bad" about Day Tripper.
Fine coffee. Didn't necessarily stand out compared to the other coffees we are drinking at the moment (Starbucks Casi Cielo and Intelligentsia Celebration Blend)
Good coffee, smooth taste, can definitely taste the caramel.
Very balanced and great for a breakfast coffee to enjoy and relax with.
This is a fine daily drinker but I think I’m looking for something more adventurous. It’s definitely a step up from my usual coffee and I’d have it again, especially to serve to guests.
First impression was that the rich aroma was great and the flavor could have been richer but it may be how I brewed it. I ground up the beans with a blade grinder and then did a drip pour over through a metal filter. Roast level was good, I think I would like just a bit higher of a roast level but this was very good. I very much enjoyed the little bit of spice to the taste of the coffee and I'm hoping to have a little nut taste to future blends that you send. Overall it's a great one to start with and it's got such great distinct taste going from K cups to whole roasted fresh coffee beans!
Bill and Maggie
Great tasting, but a bit weak. We would like a bolder blend next time.
Good, but slightly weak
Pretty good, kinda middle of the road. An excellent choice for an everyday coffee.
Good coffee, rich and smooth but I like a little stronger flavor in the after taste
Really Enjoy this!
Great smell and flavor. No complaints
Smooth and silky. Nice aroma and color, but no real oh la la moment.
Seth, Will use this method in the future for rating. We thought the coffee was ok but nothing special. as mentioned not a strong feeling of chocolate or caramel notes by our tastebuds.
Definitely taste the caramel and chocolate. Easy to drink.
First impression, baked sweet potatoes or yams, smells like the caramelized parts. I thought the roast level was pretty good, not too dark but it still had all the nice flavors that I enjoy in coffee. I'm not sure but I think the characteristic was balanced? It felt very drinkable/approachable. I liked all the flavors I got from the coffee.
Really good coffee. Not overpowering or too bitter, it was just right. Great for a french press.
It’s good coffee. When it comes to reviews I’m not sure I want to dive deep enough to be able to articulate tasting notes. I can’t say there was anything about it that I didn’t like. I joined this to try different coffees. I like all kinds so I’m hoping whatever is sent to me next is different. Prefer nothing chocolaty this time even though this coffee is enjoyable.
Somewhat light. Couldn’t get a ton of flavors out of it, but I did notice the chocolate very slightly. No bad flavors. I might revisit this when I’m more experienced with coffee.
Little week then I like
Nice and smooth
Good Coffee and I could drink it on regular basis, but it wouldn't move me off of my Intelligentsia house blend. It was solid, but it didn't wow me. I am only 2-3 cups in, and I have only drank it early in the morning. Tomorrow (Saturday) will be my real test. I could probably provide better detailed notes of what I liked and didn't after that.
This smelled really great! I might like something with a stronger, more complex flavor. I like coffee that I can drink black, that's still smooth. Thanks!!
It wasn't particularly flavorful and it had a sour after taste at times
Chocolate notes very noticeable. Very drinkable as black coffee, could be a bit stronger.
I'm liking this but prefer a more robust coffee taste similar to those found in dark roasts. Not that I'm not open to milder flavors but I really like to taste a strong coffee!
Solid coffee with muted flavors
I liked it ok but not enough to get it again. It's a little bitter and sour and doesn't taste that much different from my grocery store coffee. :( Let's try a different one. Not sure how helpful my notes are.
Loved it. I'm a coffee novice, so my palate is very unrefined at this point. Definitely no complaints about it though.
Read lots of good reviews, was not disappointed.
This is a very straightforward cup of coffee, and I have enjoyed it a lot. The chocolate and caramel notes blend in a very smooth way to produce a solid roast. In some ways, it almost tastes like a salted caramel mocha as a coffee itself.
Personally, nothing stood out super strong about the coffee, but it makes for a strong daily coffee.
Very nice. Brews with a nice froth in our Delonghi Magnifico expresso machine. Normally don't opt for flavored coffees but this is not over-powering.
Really enjoyed it.. My first "real" coffee though (I'd been using k-cups prior). So not much to compare it to. It came out quite good though.
Very smooth with notes of caramel and vanilla. Also has a great smell.
Solid coffee with notes of chocolate and a hint of vanilla. Could not taste the caramel note, but could pick it up on the nose.
This coffee is okay. The flavors are nice, but there is a little bit of a sour thing going on at the end after swallowing, for me. I don’t have a lot of experience with lighter coffees, though.
Hi there! I've only had one brew of this so far, so things might change over the week. That said, I thought it was pretty solid and I liked the roast level. The most significant bit of feedback I would have is that, while good, it wasn't really that notable. It might just be due to the balanced nature of the blend, but I wouldn't say there was a pronounced flavor or characteristic. The description says "simple and straightforward" and I think that's totally on point. I just wanted a liiiitle more substance. So definitely enjoyable, but I probably wouldn't seek it out as a must have. Updating to 3 stars since it was less than the Metric and Klatch that we've received since.
My husband and I loved it. It fits our medium roast needs and is so easy to drink. You can just taste the quality.
Nice and sweet, but would prefer something darker next time
Can definitely taste the caramel! Won't blow your underpants off -
unoffensive but tasty.
Great aroma but the flavor wasn’t deep enough and I did not enjoy the sort sharp not it finishes on
Good quality beans that produced a very smooth cup. I thought overall this blend was good, but it leans a little more dark than I prefer. I wasn't ever really able to detect the chocolate or caramel notes, but I did get a sense of the richness in comparison to other roasts I've had.
Great Coffee. I have brewed it 3 times now and it has been a little tricky to me but I would attribute that to the less than accurate brewing methods I have when out to sea. I get a lot of the vanilla and chocolate, but I think the caramel note keeps coming out a little sour for me. Still adjusting what I can to fix it.
Thank you for the first coffee. I loved having fresh roasted coffee, which I am not used to. I liked this coffee, and I appreciated the flavors. I usually prefer something with a stronger kick and more acidic flavor.
It's not your fault, but I guess we like a darker and not-so-sweet coffee ("sweet" referring to the chocolate and caramel notes). No worries, however, we just gave it to our older daughter and she loves it! :)
It's a straightforward, chocolatey coffee, but has a gorgeous, deep finish at the end of each sip, both as pourover and cold brew. No surprises, just extremely well done for a staple blend.
It was great! Really enjoyed the notes of caramel and chocolate, though I would like to try something with fruitier (but not too much fruitier) notes next.
There was a weird and subtle flavor I can't exactly put my finger on. The chocolate and caramel flavors were very nice but the base flavor reminded me of McDonald's coffee. (Not a huge fan of their coffee) I still enjoyed this coffee, its just not my new favorite or anything.
Very nice flavor, a bit sweet, but that could be my extraction time
So smooth and super delicious. Well made blend!
I really loved the smoothness of this coffee. I could absolutely drink it all day. It had good body and flavor. Definitely a new favorite!
Just a tad bit weak
This coffee was very drinkable and smooth, exactly as described. A good go-to for a tasty and straightforward cup of coffee. We brewed it in the clever dripper.
This is excellent- very smooth and easy to drink. I could drink something a bit richer/with more depth of flavor.
Pretty much loved this and drank it in half the time. Super pleasant taste and not acidic. Perfect for every day drinking.
Coffee subscriptions are new to me, but I thought this was a great blend to introduce me to the subscription with! For me, I liked how I could taste flavors in the coffee that were both bright and toasty at the same time. It also consistently had a wonderful aroma when brewed.
Can't wait to continue trying more types of coffee!
Great taste. I like the chocolate and caramel, but not very unique in terms of flavor/taste. I really enjoy some of the more floral or fruity blends, but I would definitely try this blend again. Really enjoyed it.
I'm a coffee snob. My family isn't. If I were to make coffee for my family, choosing this coffee would be step one. This coffee isn't fancy, appeals to many, and is a great pick for anyone and everyone.
Would prefer a darker roast.
Fruity, chocolatey and with a hint of savory flavor. Pretty decent. I do get some sour on the back-end, but not until it cools down.
Jessica and Justin
We really enjoyed the flavor of this one.
This coffee makes a great cup. It's very drinkable and I can see anybody who likes coffee liking the Day Tripper Blend. The blend of the different regions is well balanced with solid flavors. We loved drinking this coffee black, no cream needed. It is a well balanced cup, not terribly complex but we would buy it if we saw it at the store. Thanks for sharing!
While we like that the coffee is creamy n not bitter, we think it's a little sour. We don't mind trying out a slightly more oily n darker roast. But we definitely don't enjoy any tangy or sour taste in our coffee.
Thanks a lot.
This coffee is good--but doesn't have the rich full-bodied flavor of some of the others.
Overall, really liked this blend.
Easy to drink, not bitter or highly acidic
Ground it on the coarse setting of our burr grinder for the electric perc, but found myself wanting to put more grounds than normal in when brewing because the flavor seemed a bit watered down
Color wasn't terribly rich after adding cream (usually I go for a caramel color after cream and this one was closer to white even with a small amount of cream)
Thinking this blend might be better to drink after brewing via pour-over or french press?
This was good. Vanilla and caramel.
This coffee is good. It is a light coffee and has a lot of flavor.
Good coffee which grew on me and enjoyed the most with my mocha pot. In the french press the flavors were a bit dull or watered down. Overall I thought it was a very drinkable blend but nothing special or notable about the notes or aroma. Good baseline without nuance.
This is solid coffee with really smooth flavor. But frankly, it was a little underwhelming. Profile is right down the middle in pretty much all aspects, which is probably why it's perfectly described as "intended to appeal to a wide audience." Ideal to keep around for when the in-laws stay over or you otherwise need to make coffee for people who just want a balanced coffee, or who otherwise would only notice anything about their coffee if it was "bad".
I'm definitely all about "rich" flavors (as opposed to floral or fruity), such as the chocolate and caramel found here, but also things like toffee, graham cracker, oak, nuttiness, sweet tobacco, etc. I like how smooth and easy to drink this coffee is, but would love if it had a little more distinct flavor.
Pretty nice blend. Getting a bit of citrus on the end.
Excellent coffee. Would order again. very open to trying anything you want to send
I thought the caramel notes were very apparent and enjoyable - the only reason I did not give a five-star review was because the coffee was, as advertised, very straightforward. I think I would prefer a bit more complexity / a broader range of notes in the coffee.
Super great middle of the road coffee. We are enjoying it for our morning cup mostly. I enjoy the deeper flavors like chocolate and caramel. It's not very acidic and not fruity, which is nice.
Indeed, simple and straightforward but also rich and balanced enough to be my daily go-to blend.
I don't like caramel. However, I can respect the coffee for what it is; it does a good job of what it's supposed to do, but I just don't like it.
The description is spot on. It’s a classic cup of coffee that any coffee lover would enjoy on any day. We really enjoyed brewing it in single cup batches of pour over.
Really good in the stove top espresso maker. A bit thin in the drip. Very yummy with heavy cream. Not too bitter!
A nice brew, but nothing special.
really smooth no bitterness great way to start the day
Great Coffee, It has tasty notes that you can taste through milk in a latte. Very good beans that are perfect for espressos.
Great, easy cup of coffee with a broad appeal. A little heavier than what I would maybe pick out, and less nuanced in flavor, but if you told me this was the only coffee I could drink for the rest of my life, I'd probably be okay!
rather have a Dunkin dark roast.
When I first read the description of what the coffee flavors were I was concerned because I generally do not care for flavored coffees. However, the Coffee tasted better than I thought it would since the flavors are very subtle.
For future shipments please keep the flavors very subtle as I prefer the "real" taste of coffee vs flavored coffees.
Very smooth! Really enjoyed this blend.
Balanced, easy to drink coffee.
I could have an affair with this coffee... don't tell my husband. While it IS easy drinking, it is also multi-layered with just enough complexity to keep it interesting. I could drink this coffee all day...and I have. Just. So. Good.
A really nice all-around coffee. Pulls easily for espresso but also works well in a pour-over. I can definitely taste the chocolate, although it's somewhat lighter in flavor than other blends I've had.
Mellow breakfast blend with notes of mocha on the front end. Needs a little more kick but good roast overall.
After tweaking the amount of coffee to be ground, I found the Day Tripper Blend to be a very enjoyable with a rich flavor.
Nice and well balanced. Easy sipping in the morning.
Good but didn't like the caramel flavor, tasted fake to me. Good strong taste, very sweet. Loved the chocolate flavor.
A smooth but light cup of coffee
Made a double shot espresso with steamed vanilla almond milk. Smooth and clean taste, light bodied with subtle tastes of caramel
Nice, especially in an AeroPress... I usually avoid coffee that seem to have “added flavors”—this one isn’t too much like that, just a little... I enjoyed a change to something different.
I liked this blend a lot. A bit on the lighter side but not too much. If it were any more bright / acidic, it would probably be too much for me, but this was just right.
Very solid coffee. I like it more brewed strong in a Moka pot compared to brewing in my French press.
Very smooth with nice hints of sweetness. A bit lighter than anticipated but good overall.
Very good, smooth and great taste. Might be a bit light for me.
I enjoy the subtle sweetness that never transitioned to bitterness.
Just had my first cup of this wonderful coffee! Samantha did a great job picking this blend for me! It has such a smooth flavor without the bitter aftertaste I seem to keep running across with other blends I have tried lately. I am very impressed with Good Folks! :)
I like this coffee very much. I thought it was well rounded
does not sit well on my palate. I can't even really describe it, other than trash water.
Very rich and flavorful dosent need more then a little half and half to go with it.
My wife and I really enjoy this blend. Thank you!
We prepared it in both Chemex and French press and enjoyed it a lot more in the Chemex. Easy drinker.
My husband and I really enjoyed this coffee. He made it with the French press, and even used it for a cold brew. So good!
Although I enjoy a delicious lighter roast this blend was just a little lighter than I expected. Still a good flavor and much enjoyed
I like this coffee, especially for the fall. The main taste I get from this is "campfire". I think in the future I'd like to receive more lighter roasts from this company.
This was pretty good as a pourover! I think it was a little too earthy for me. I would love a more fruity blend next time! :)
It was quite good! Probably around top 15 coffees I have had. A bit brighter than I was expecting from something branded as being for "any time of day" and certainly had some of that breakfast blend feeling. I think I may want to go a bit darker next time!
Smooth, chocolatey, and a little smokey. We would drink this again!
Made in a chemex -- roasty flavors, nothing overly prominent, drinkable if not unique.
Very nice and smooth coffee
This was good, but I must admit, I think I could have done a better job roasting this coffee. I don't think I had my new burr grinder figured out yet...
Very tasty. I brewed using chemex, 700g of water and 52g of beans, for two cups of coffee. The beans are very fresh and I taste some nice smooth notes of Carmel and chocolate. Not bitter at all.
Very smooth. Enjoyed the chocolate & caramel flavors.
Stronger. New burr grinder helping flavor.
Wasn't overly impressed. Just ok for me.
The coffee blend itself is objectively good. It just isn't the flavor profile I want. It's too bright. I want a little more dirt flavor
We enjoyed this blend overall, although at first blush with an aeropress brewing method, it seemed plain and light. Once we used our Kalita everything improved and we were more able to enjoy the fuller complexity of the roast--and it was much more balanced. It was a bit darker than we expected and I think once we've tried more single origin coffees, this would be one to revisit.
Great flavor but could be a little darker/bolder
Very drinkable, any time of day due to the milder flavor.
Enjoyed; would prefer a bit more "oomph" but would drink again.
Definitely a nice flavor. Tasted bold, smooth balanced. Made a really good Ice Coffee pour over. Vanilla flavor seems more like bold espresso, caramel/sweetness is nice. Good flavored coffee, not bitter or acidic easy to make in a pour over for me.
Clean, with good acidity. My wife and I enjoy our coffee strong with lots of cream and sugar, so I tend to go for roasts like this or a little darker.
Would prefer something richer in flavor/more dark roasted
I enjoyed this coffee, the taste is satisfying and rich. But, i felt like it wasn't bitter enough for my tastes.
very good. I like it.
Carmel notes, smooth
Good easy drinking coffee. Doesn't have a lot of complexity and body so it can feel a little boring. The notes of chocolate and Carmel are nice and I enjoyed drinking it but it didn't seem special. It feel a little flat for us.
Pleasant taste but I like a bit stronger, oilier taste. Others in the family like it.
very nice, smooth, flavorful
This is a great coffee to start your day with. Definitely has a blended, balanced flavor that feels familiar and is easy to appreciate.
This blend was solid and consistent. I didn't notice the chocolate and caramel notes strongly, but there were definitely hints of those present. Overall, it has the characteristics of one smooth, well-rounded cup of coffee. Nothing fancy, nothing unique, just straightforward and smooth. A basic go-to blend that will never disappoint.
A bit lighter than I prefer, but a fantastic aroma of vanilla and easy to drink black. The chocolate notes are a little heavier than I prefer. But overall, a great coffee.
Balanced and smooth
Another good coffee. Possibly top 3 or 4 of the brands I've tried so far.
Would definitely drink this again
I like light roasts, but this one was just too acidic for me.
The flavor was a little too subtle although the coffee was smooth and had a decent finish.
Very smooth. definite caramel notes, handled milk very well.
Simple & easy to drink. Some cups taste blander than others, but it's a good coffee to brew & power through some work.
A very smooth and delicate coffee. I brewed this using a Chemex so some of the "richness" may have been caught in the paper filter causing it to have a more gentle flavore. Also, I would say this coffee trends more on the side of light/medium roast (as you can see even in the color of the bean) as a little bit of brightness still come through in a tasting. Which I don't prefer. I look for more of the smoky depth of a slightly darker roast. But all in all, a very good coffee. I would mostly recommend this coffee for people who are trying to move towards drinking their coffee black.
I like the aroma of the coffee, but not the acidic or sour aftertaste. I think I like a darker roast. Thanks!
The worst coffee I've received to date. Weak aroma after grinding. Bland, watery flavor. Looking forward to finishing this one and moving on.
Very good and smooth. Balanced, and creamy. Brewed in a Chemex and in a Hario V60 with similar results.
The flavor was a little too subtle. The coffee had a good finish.
I liked this one although it was a little too strong/rich for my taste.
Very good. Great mix of flavors.
a very bright coffee, Caramel noticed more than the light choc. one of the best i've had honestly. Home run on first pick!
I don't like the roasting smell and there is a bitter end to it
This one is my favorite so far. Excellent flavor!
As the description states, this coffee is straightforward, Not much in the way of vegetative flavors and it's not at all oily, so my machine really likes that.
We are enjoying this coffee very much. Nice rich and smooth flavor. The chocolate and caramel notes are nice undertones but not overpowering. Easy to drink with no aftertaste. This is a great start - very good first coffee.
Great chocolate notes! Very smooth and enjoyable coffee
This one is good and I have no problem with it. However after the Seabright I was a little disappointed. I didnt think it had quite as much flavor.
Solid coffee if a bit straight forward. Well done but not quite as interesting or complex as I typically prefer.
I really liked this one...I don't know how to really describe coffee, but I know I liked it and felt like I could really catch some distinct flavor in this one and it seemed to be a nice roast level for me.
This coffee was okay. I did enjoy the flavor of it but it could've been a darker roast.
I'm a fan!!! It's exactly what I'm looking for in new coffee. A very smokey roasty taste.
Roast was not dark enough
Did not like this one as much as the last. Found it to be really acidic and bland. Hoping to get something a bit more interesting tasting on the next go. Maybe try a single origin out?
Solid coffee easy drinker. Mild unacidic flavor. The description of rich, chocolate tones is pretty accurate. Would order again.
Excellent coffee. Exceptionally tasty as pour over.

Not as dark as we like
Tasty and easy to drink
Really enjoyed the combination of flavors, it was like eating a piece of dessert after dinner but saying very light on your taste buds. The flavors are very noticeable from the first sip, so it can't easily be missed. Overall, I enjoyed the coffee more as a milk based drink than black because it can be a little overpowering! I would buy it again.
Mainly extracted via Espresso Machine.
Great coffee. Just light enough. Perfect for the morning.
Enjoyed it, but prefer something darker, stronger.

So, this coffee surprised me. I am usually drawn to citrus and floral notes but this blend is delicious. It is easy to brew in our french press. The beans were lighter than I expected for the flavor. We were pleasantly surprised. The acidity level is balanced and the nose delightfully filled our kitchen. What an awesome first blend to start on. Thank you!
Just ok. Not bad but I didn't pick up the caramel chocolate. Would like to try a dark roast next.

This one is smoother. My favorite so far
Rich, dark, yet not overwhelming or bitter.
Seems too light and not bold enough flavor. I thought I liked milder, I usually don't really like French roasts, so maybe I'm somewhere in the middle? I do like strong espresso.
I really like chocolate notes in my coffee. And I also like that it didn't have any fruit in it.
This was amazingly smooth with very little bitterness. Loved the creaminess of it and as well as the finish. The hints of chocolate and caramel made me smile as I sipped my first cup of this on a chilly New England Sunday morning.
Fantastic!! Love every sip of every cup.
Very delicious! Loved it!
My idea of a perfect brew.
Very good I like the roast I would prefer something with a bit more Nuttier tones
This one seemed a bit bitter or sour, if I can remember, I am not really sure. I just remember I like the Flor Raos Azul better
Very good. Both my wife and I enjoyed the blend. Smooth and not overpowering.
Good flavor, not enough boldness.
Nicebalance but overly caffinated
good full flavor without being too heavy, even in my stovetop unit.
Much too light a roast for me. Beans had not gloss to them at all and thus the brewed drink had little taste to me.
Smooth and satisfying. Tastes great.
Not enough bold flavor
I love this coffee! very smooth going down, no bitterness. yum!
This was the first one I tried and didn't realize I needed to review and rate so unfortunately I don't remember that much about it.
Looking for a darker roast
A good smooth blend, I just couldn't to brew as strong as I would prefer.
Liked the chocolate notes.
Not a huge fan of the natural flavor of this coffee
I did like that it did seem to be a bit milder
I think this was a bit too strong as espresso for my taste but as an americano it was much more tolerable. It smells so good when grinding and brewing. Loved it with my french press.
i would give it a zero if i could. so dry! tasted like dirt. ugh!
Really enjoyed this blended roast. Smooth, rich flavors on the backend with low acidity. However, it was thin with light flavors on the front end. Still, a very good roast. Definitely recommend. :)
Love love love this one. Amazing flavor makes every sip a treat! More like this please!!
Not as good as the Honduras blend, but honestly I can't tell you why
Not quite dark enough for us, but still a great cuppa.

N/A i dont drink flavored coffees
i liked this but was a little too light
Really enjoyed the taste of this coffee. Not floral tasting, but not at all too bitter. This has been my favorite so far of the three.
Very nice enjoyed flavourful taste
A little too light and complex
Didn't meant to review this one just yet. lol
I really enjoyed this coffee. It was well-balanced and forgiving, and not too acidic or heavy.
This coffee, while a bit sweeter than I normally prefer, is great for drinking after dinner.

Love this one!
I'm not typically a blend drinker but enjoyed this one. It was really nice as an espresso and worked really well with my auto drip. When i received it, it was a tad stale tasting but not horrible. Still held up nicely to the end of the bag.
Decent blend. Unique. Good taste. Not a favorite but still pretty good.
I liked this blend just fine, but I didn't find it a particularly memorable one. I could taste the chocolate notes-- which were even more apparent when paired with a piece of chocolate-- but I didn't pick up on the caramel notes.
Very good taste - enjoying it immensely
It was good, but a little to acidic for me at the finish. Just learning my acids, but maybe a bit too much malic acid. Flavor was good though.
Liked by the entire family.
Dry, rich, brown beans
French press - spirited bloom and earthy aroma
Medium acidity and light mouthfeel
Starts nutty/fruity and ends mellow
A smooth, light, cup that just crosses the line into medium roast
This coffee is full of flavor. It has a strong background and you breathe out a sweet aroma after drinking it.

I liked this coffee overall. I wasn't too blown away by anything about it, but it was definitely a solid cup. I picked up on some dark chocolate/toffee/almond-y kind of taste which I did enjoy too. Reviewers commented on sweetness and a caramel taste but I did not pick up on any of that. I typically enjoy Papua New Guinea single origins and this was somewhat reminiscent of that, which makes sense
I loooove the smell of this coffee first thing in the morning!
Smooth. Enjoyed the caramel and brown sugar notes.
Also another great coffee, smooth and well balanced.
We like the smooth flavor
It was too lightly roasted for me.
Sandra and Stan
Great coffee, too 'green' for our palettes but we prefer deeper, roast"ier" coffee bean profiles.
Really enjoyed this coffee. Very drinkable. Could definitely recognize the caramel flavors. Next time, it would be great to try a single origin coffee that is a bit more robust.
Very flavorful blend without being heavy. Rich, smooth blend of flavors. We went through it really fast.
Hey I drink coffee at home mostly as espresso drinks. On the surface this is a blend that might work well given the blend. However, I tried different of extractions (ristretto and lungo) but could never find a great flavor extraction with this blend. Now, as a pour over I can find all the caramel, and chocolate notes. So, I recommend using a Chemex or your favorite pour-over device. (as espresso 2 stars, but as pour-over 4 stars)
Too weak in flavor, taste, and richness.
Enjoyed last shipment better than first. I think I'm grinding beans to much smaller than needed for drip mix
I liked the smoothness of this blend, and it had a wonderful aroma. I found the flavor to be fairly weak, though, especially compared to what I was expecting based on the description.
Very smooth flavor with a good aroma, low acidity and light, easy to drink. I felt it wasn't too sweet or bitter, good starting off coffee. If I had to give a negative to build off of I would say it was a little to mellow for me, I like a bolder flavor coffee, or at least that is what I am used to, I still want to try everything before I start to make decisions on what I like, I'm trying to start this adventure with a clean slate.
I really enjoyed the smoothness of this. I typically use a flavored creamer but when i decided to try this with just sugar I was pleasantly surprised. To me it almost seemed a little smokey. I look forward to the next shipment!
I think this was ok for me. It didn't taste bad by any means, however I'm not really a fan of the chocolate in my coffee.
I didn't get much of the chocolate, was a little flat with a strong unpleasant sour note. Not sure if I got a bad batch.
Very smooth with very little bitterness or aftertaste. Relatively easy to dial in the right brew.
This is the first blend I've liked in a long time! Thanks!
Thick and creamy to your pallet, smooth as silk i pull 21g with no sugar added it is superb you just want more and more. Just as the notes describe the taste, quite delicious.
Good balanced cup of coffee.
A bit more bitter/acidic than I'd like, but still pretty good.
Good but not unique.
Very balanced and delicious
It was sweet and delicious and smelled amazing as it was brewing. I think I'm going to try to mix it with soy instead of almond milk next time. I tasted more chocolate than caramel in this blend, which is good.
Really amazing. Seriously one of the better cups of coffee I've ever had.
Has a good overall flavor.
Tasted a little flat and not as rich as I was expecting. I could taste the chocolate and caramel notes well enough, though.
Delicious. I could drink it black, or with very little cream. The flavors are very subtle, but the lack of bitterness makes up for it.
More balanced than I was expecting. Very smooth and easy to drink. Nothing too exotic, and a bit more on the simple side, but very good.
Very smooth and flavourful - great morning coffee!
3.5 stars. This is a very pleasant cup made me think of diner coffee at its best. I did find it lacking in refinement (maybe due to being a blend) and complexity. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, but didn't really impress me much either.
Usually not a fan of blends but i enjoyed this. Description of flavors and aromas was spot on. Would drink again.
I liked the flavor overall but it was a little too bright for me. My favorites are usually dark, smooth, rich, and a little less fruity. This was good in my French press, but not as good in my drip coffee maker.
I definitely taste the chocolate! This is a nice, balanced coffee. Helped me to wait for it to cool down a bit in order to taste some of those other flavors mentioned in the description.
Didn't care for this one. Definitely rich, which I don't mind, but the lingering, bitter caramel aftertaste I found unpleasant.
Tasty! Good depth of flavor; wish it had been slightly fresher.
Really great. Incredible sweetness. Vanilla finish was impressive.
It was a little more straightfoward, sweeter blend. The most forward flavor I tasted was a little bit of caramel and vanilla. I like it for desserts and a 'sunday afternoon' kinda day. I definitely enjoy it, but it wouldn't be my go to blend for every morning

Seems very light for a medium roast. Lacked depth and boldness. Both coffees were very similar. I did not like this blend at all.
Liked the chocolate caramel flavors & deep richness. I tend to stay away from extra citrusy notes
It was pretty good. Since I usually make a latte with aero press, the taste isn't evident. I was happy that it wasn't smoky! For some reason, it left a dry and bitter after taste AFTER the drink was finished.
overall a very good coffee. The prevalent taste/aroma is caramel, with notes of vanilla. I don't get much chocolate. I don't adore caramel, so I would be interested in other blends in which caramel doesn't take center stage.
Very smooth and delicious coffee that is great for any time of day.
Very smooth flavor. I usually always add sugar, but the Marcala didn't need any. Medium body. Easy to drink. Nice taste.
Used 1.5 Tablespoons per cup in order to do a full-flavor test. It was outstanding! The description is very accurate - chocolate/caramel with a hint of vanilla (to me).
I am use to drinking Dunkin Donut Coffee. Also the beans were not fully grinding.
My first couple of cups from this were experiments with my new AeroPress - the first being far too weak and the second being far too strong. Once I got it right, though, I found this coffee to pair well with ice creams and other desserts, as it meets the advertised richness well. I used the remaining few ounces in my OXO Cold Brewer and made 8oz of cold brew concentrate, which has worked well as a basis for pseudo-lattes.
Aftertaste had an undesireable sour undertone. Not bold enough for my taste.
Pretty good coffee. Smoothe. Couldn't taste the chocolate, caramel or vanilla as much as I thought.
A little weak for my taste.

Enjoyed this coffee very much.
A good coffee; easily drunk; able to drink with food or alone.
really smooth chocolate and dark caramel taste
Holy cow this stuff is fantastic. The roast is not oily dark, allowing the simple flavors of the beans to shine through. At the same time, the roast is dark enough to provide richness and full body. I tend to like coffees that are richer and fuller-bodied still than this, but this coffee has the advantage of bringing much more flavor and nuance due to the roasting.
Very much enjoyed this balanced med roast blend. Because this was my first mistobox, so it's hard to say 4 or 5 stars. I need more comparisons and I may adjust.
This is a tasty coffee but I have been drinking dark roasts for a while and am probably used to a more robust cup. I do NOT care for Italian or French roasts, so not that dark. Chocolate and caramel are favorite flavors, but maybe a darker roast version, and nutty?? My three stars may change as I go through the bag. This is my initial response.
