The Organic Decaf French Roast was roasted for you by Centri Coffee. This Organic certified decaf is a custom blend of rotating seasonal coffees from South America and was decaffeinated before using the chemical-free Swiss Water decaffeination method. Decaf French Roast is roasted with a longer and slower profile to maximize development of its dominant flavor characteristics; a smoky roast quality, chocolate, and mulling spices.
Somewhere between 3-4 stars for me. Not a fan of the "roasty" which tastes "smokey" to me. Have tried it as black with Chemex as well as my usual Moka pot. Doesn't hold a candle to the Temple blend I started with.
Full bodie and delish for expresso
Its good. The puck is temperamental though. Not as good as Temple. The puck kept sticking for some reason. 3.5
This one is bitter to me - I’m experimenting with brewing to see if it’s just me.
It was good.
This was OK, but mixed with the full caf that I got, I wasn't so impressed. It seemed kind of burnt to me.
It did better as drip than in my French Press.
Love the delicious flavor of this French coffee. .
Don’t really like French roast
Made this by pour over and by espresso methods. This was not too pleasant. There were burnt beans mixed in the bag, and even when removing them manually before brewing, the flavor was relatively harsh.
The coffee instead of having a roast date on it, had a best by and that date was already expired. I thought all your coffees where shipped within a day or two of the roast dates
Loved it! Dark, smelled amazing, and had the caramel and chocolate notes I like.
Please send again!
Not a very strong flavor but I didn't hate it. Nothing really noteworthy.
Loved this one. I think it’s because I didn’t find it bitter. Please select a caffeinated coffee like this one for me!
overall good flavor less intense than expected
This coffee was so smooth, yet nice & bold! Loved it!
too spicy for my preference
This is a pretty good version of what I generally don't like about decaf coffees, but is almost universal. I assume that coffee loses flavor in the decaffination process, and that most roasters want to make up for that by roasting the coffee extra deep, to come up with some strong flavor. The end result just ends up tasting like burnt to me. I ended up blending these beans 1:1:1 with some Coava and Olympia Coffee Roasters decafs that I had on hand, and that ended up tasting pretty nice.
