I was nervous after reading melon and lime but luckily there wasn’t much acidity. Found this to be an enjoyable coffee but not one I would order again.

This might be due to a limited sample size but I thought these beans made an amazing espresso shot. I just recently got a Lucca Mini machine from Clive Coffee FYI. I've been learning how to be a home barista, making lots of lattes, and I thought these beans were great.
The flavors of melon and ginger are not for me.
It was a little light for my preferences and a bit on the acidic side.
Was brewed using a drip machine. Initial taste presented citrus notes that finish smooth with the hints caramel/toffee.

Lime and melon for sure, not enough depth / chocolate or toffee notes. Definitely a little acidic and bright, good but too much of those notes for my personal preference at 199F. When increased brew temp to 205, brought out more "dark" tones and MUCH better balance.

When I tried the coffee with a Hario V60, the flavors came out better. So the coffe is more suited to a pour-over than an espresso machine. I changed the ratings to reflect the pour-over flavor
Good for espresso -- was pretty easy to dial in, and I love that they gave the recipe. The notes were pretty accurate too. Mouthfeel was great. However, it gets washed out in cappuccino so I didn't try it in a latte.
Very light roast so it was hard to get the grind dialed in right. Citrus forward, which isn’t my favorite with milk.

I pretty much only drink as a black americano, so while this did blend well for a flat white, it is not what I am looking for in a standalone coffee.
Love the bright fruity notes and the range of warmth in the flavors. A complex tasting experience I've been enjoying every morning.
After drinking dark roasts for 20 years I'm having a hard time with lighter roasts. I think it will take a little adjusting, both in brewing and me appreciating them. I enjoyed this more as a drip coffee than I did as a cappuccino.
A good light-roast espresso blend for people like me who are used to medium/dark. interesting flavor without the sour notes I usually taste in light-roasted espresso.
it was very difficult to dial in. the roaster's website recommends a slightly longer ratio of 1:2.5 ... 17 grams in / 42 grams out in 28 seconds. (I wish that mistobox would include brewing suggestions with the coffee.)
Had to grind much finer than usual to hit those numbers. but once I got close, I was able to pull better shots and taste the melon notes.
Never was able to get much crema, though, even though the beans were fresh.
I would prefer less fruity coffee.
Tasted great! I made hot coffee with it (via a french press) and cold brew. Tasted great for the summer!
It is robust but smooth.
The smell out of the bag was intoxicating. I think I need to get the proportions better for my next cup- it seemed more gentle than I typically drink, but it was very good!

My first two pour over brews of Espresso Proper were poor extractions. I had to change the grind on my Baratza Encore to 8. I had it wet to 12 setting which was obviously wrong for this roast. This bean has a delicate fruit undertone with very little if any acidity and smooth finish. Perfect roast to assinuate the flavor extraction of the bean. In one word Espresso Proper is "classy." High tea classy. Impress your family and friends classy. Needless to say, I am in love with it.
Quite sour when taken black, but almost tea-like once sugar and creamer are added.
I enjoyed this coffee a lot but it had just a little too much of a fruit flavor for me. Brewed using a french press.

Smelled great but the taste was very light. I used more scoops than normal when making the coffee to try to make up for the flavor.
First, the bag arrived damaged as it had a hole in it. It wasn't flavorful enough, too muddy tasting. It might be too light. The beans smelled good.

"Lively" seems to be an accurate description for this coffee. The flavors seem extremely mellow compared to what I was expecting, especially with Espresso" in the title.
I feel that I may have misunderstood and, in turn, misrepresented my desires. I apparently would prefer a darker roast with bolder flavors, contrary to what I believe I stated in the assessment.
It was bright and smooth! We were very surprised that this would be considered an espresso blend (we brewed in a 12 cup drip appliance) since it seemed almost light, but we thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was good, had a lot of flavor I hadn't experienced in coffee before. Still struggling to figure out how coarse/fine to grind. Would like something a bit sweeter/more flavorful

Brewed this as regular coffee, not espresso and enjoyed it. Nothing amazing but the brightness and slightly sour finish was interesting. Very light and subtle.

I brewed 3 heaped spoon in 5 cups of water and was very happy. I liked the rich caramel taste.
I think it’s on the more darker side of coffee that I like. It’s still delicious! The crema is beautiful! My dark flavors are more like the Italian roast from Starbucks.

Not our usual pick for a coffee. A little more mellow than what we usually drink. We brewed this twice, the first time with less than the recommended coffee and we enjoyed some of the different tasting notes. The second time with the recommended amount of coffee and found it a little to acidic and too much of the fruit notes.

It was fine, but it just wasn't quite for me. I thought the notes where just a bit too pronounced and a touch too sweet. I typically do not like lighter roasts, but am always open to trying out different roast levels. FWIW, I can certainly tell the complexity the roaster was going for, and for people whom prefer lighter to darker roasts it would be a great matchup. I would say if the caramel-citrus notes where a bit more subdued I would have probably loved it. They really popped out at me - it all just seemed a bit too sweet. The body was very thin, which I really liked, I could have easily drank four cups in a sitting without noticing. In all it was almost like drinking warm uncarbonated soda - maybe almost a less spicy Dr. Pepper cut with Pepsi??
For the record and in general, I use this service to brew coffee at work. I use a Sowden softbrew (https://www.sowdenathome.com/sowden-softbrew-coffee) which I guess I would describe as most closely matching a french press preparation wise, EXCEPT, no pressing, which ya, it's a pretty decent difference.
Not sure if you are familiar with the brewer itself, it doesn't seem very mainstream/widespread; I received it as a gift and had never seen or heard of it myself. It generally produces thinner bodies.
I had been working through some backlog of coffee so just this morning got around to opening/tasting. I ground the beans with medium-fine coarseness in a Hario hand grinder. The first cup was black, the second had Laird Hamilton's "superfood unsweetened creamer TM" (I'm full-on insane, it's oily, but more or less flavorless) and three Splenda packets. I think with something bolder to cut it (half-and-half or cream) it would have a lot more body and maybe tune the notes a bit. I am also going to try a courser roast as the brewer is a little sensitive to that since the coffee just kinda sits there in the water. I'll also leave out the Splenda next go around.
TL;DR: It would probably be great for for others, but, come to think of it; I may be a oddly-specific, yet fussy, weirdo.

I really like this coffee! I like it brewed 20g:9oz h2o or maybe a touch stronger, with a scant spoon of sugar. It’s nice and bright, totally opposite of what I used to drink, and I’m so pleased! I never would have thought I’d be a black coffee drinker.
Made it as a hot bloom cold brew. Completely different! I prefer it brewed hot.

While this blend is subtle in nature, it’s complex in flavor. Each cup contains notes of bright citrus and subtle melon. I just happen to prefer a slightly darker roast. Perhaps a stronger presence of toffee would have grounded it a bit more for me.

once I found a good grind setting for this super hard bean, I was able to get better extraction, it definitely needs a finer grind, it was flowing too fast at first. couldn't taste the melon though. landed on this final recipe:

I used this coffee in my usual double espresso shot. I enjoyed the aromas of almond extract, smoked clove, and a subtle caramel and steamed milk scent. It is certainly lively with a bit of green melon, lime peel, and a hint of grapefruit pith. It took me a bit of experimentation to get it dialed in and I settled on making a slightly longer shot with a post infusion to manage the acidity. I'm not quite on the bandwagon with the light roast trend as it trades complexity and brightness for drinkability and texture. Overall this coffee was fun to play with as each change to the brew process resulted in a noticeable change in flavor, but I miss the richness and balance I've had with other brews .
This coffee tastes thin on the front end to me and then bitter on the back end. Wouldn't buy it again if I had gotten it in a store.

Brewed using an Aeropress, I enjoyed the lively and fresh notes from this coffee. It has a decent level of acidity but it is not too overwhelming. Essentially no cocoa notes come through at all but it has a light toffee finish. Recommended to those who don't mind a citrus tang and want to avoid a chocolate brew.

Excellent description of flavor profile--exactly as advertised. Using Synesso 20g basket, 21.5 grams in/36 grams out in 27 seconds. Light in body and gets a bit lost in more than 4-5 oz milk. Will try suggested parameters (17g/42g/28s) and experiment a bit more. I'm good for about a week of this kind of espresso before moving back to more bodied blends.
This was sent in error. This is a coffee created for espresso machines, which I do not have and which I told Mistobox I did not want on my questionnaire. I love espresso, when made right. This coffee is terrible in a drip machine or french press, I have tried. It's a shame this will go to waste.
It was quite bitter tasting. I tried it in a French Press and a traditional drop coffee maker. Still didn't really care for this one.

This is perfectly fine coffee if these are tastes you like. I was given Misto as a gift. I don't really understand their curation process, suspect it is some software algorithm. Anyway they sent me a coffee that clearly did not match my tastes. So no reason to be critical of a coffee if its description is clearly outside of one's taste preference. To me the flaw is with Misto.

I really liked this coffee although I think I would need some training to be able to spot the melon/ginger tastes. I made mostly coffee with it but also made an excellent espresso. Grinded as fine as my machine would allow (Jura A1).

This is the first coffee that I've ever had that I preferred without milk! Very interesting. Something similar (or similarly interesting at least) with more body would be awesome.

I find the description 'lively' to be rather entertaining because it was everything but. We found the coffee to be as bland as your standard cup of Folger's. The smell was wonderful and the base flavor had such possibilities, but then it whimpered and died when it hit my tongue.
Too shallow for my taste; had a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste. Flavor seemed weak overall; similar to a store-bought can of preground espresso.

I really enjoy drinking this coffee. I have made it using both my aeropress and espresso machine and have liked both methods. With the aeropress I liked the brightness of flavors president and the espresso mixed well with milk for a light and enjoyable cup of coffee.
I still can't dial in my machine with this coffee. I get 18g in and 35g out in 28 sec but it still comes out sour and acidic. I am still playing with it but, as much as I like flavor variety of lighter roasts, this one might be a bit too light for my barista skills to pull off.

Not bad for pour over, but terribly sour for espresso.
Good, but I'm only on my 3rd morning sipping it and I wonder how much staying power it can have or if I will tire of it quickly. It can be a little tangy, but since I'm used to drinking a lot of flavorless coffee, it's neat to be able to taste interesting flavors immediately. Looking forward to revisiting this after I've had many other samples to see how it compares.
More details: I have been brewing this with an OXO 9 cup automatic brewer for drip coffee. Today I used my Breville espresso maker. It was very good! I think it indeed makes a better espresso than drip as it is labeled. I still need to adjust the espresso grinder a bit, as the shots are a little over extracted but I've still enjoyed them!

I feel like it would’ve gone good with some chocolate flavor in there or caramel, something to make it a little richer than it was at current.

Lemon was very forward and had a sour taste despite trying many settings on my Breville Express. Tried to add milk and use as a latte but had to add a lot of sweetener to get rid of acidity. I don’t think I like strong citrus forward. If someone else has this more dialed in with grind and dial settings, please share. Using grind 4 with dial at 3o’clock. That has gotten me the best extraction thus far.

I liked it more for iced coffee where the flavors popped out more in the milk and sweetener as opposed to drinking it black where it was a little too fruit-forward. My husband said he prefers coffee with more notes of vanilla and caramel in his iced coffee.
Really good cup of espresso. Bright fruity flavors and has consistent body. My favorite of the more fruit forward espresso's I have tried from mistobox
we switched to a higher end machine half way through this one so i think it may have been even higher, we were just dialing in the new one

Not meant to be made with an espresso machine and am very disappointed with Mistobox for sending me this and wasting a bag of beans because this is trash unless you plan to use another method.

Coffee was okay for me, but wife did not like it. I detected the melon notes, but also some unpleasant bitterness at the end. Wife has no idea what she likes, but that she liked the previous one better.
