The El Salvador Las Delicias was carefully roasted for you by Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters. This fully washed coffee was sourced from the growing region of Apaneca Llamatepec in El Salvador and was produced by Miguel Menendez on his farm Las Delicias at 1,750 meters. The cup is exceptionally well balanced with sweet notes of chocolate, caramel, honey, hazelnut, and a lively citrus acidity.
This coffee was sour! It did not have any “hazelnut” flavor, as listed in your description. The description on the bag didn’t even mention hazelnut, but did mention “raisin,” which isn’t a flavor I would want. Actually, the overwhelming taste was just extreme sourness. I had given the subscription to my daughter-in-law, who said the coffee was OK but she didn’t know it was supposed to have chocolate or hazelnut flavor. When I tasted it myself, I was appalled!
I've adjusted the grind and the brew, but it is still overly sour,
Made a fantastic pour over, one of our favorites now
When you've been drinking fruity coffees, it's nice to switch things up a bit. This one is actually bright than I thought it would be with a slight grapefruit. It has a chocolatey mouthful but still silky.
no roast date. Has a bitter taste that then smooths out.
