Perfectly fine diner coffee, but I'm not looking for diner coffee. Nothing to make this distinct except for mild black tea notes.

This coffee didn’t have much origin character and was low on acid. Not spectacular and certainly not a light roast but a decent medium roast.

Guji is my favorite coffee zone. I prefer the natural funky light roast Gujis. Kuma played it too safe on the roast. This coffee was city+ to full city roast, muting the typical bright flavors found in Gujis. Unfortunately, somewhat expressionless across the board. Not recommended on espresso or AeroPress. Ok on pour over.

Not really bad, but I've had much better Guji beans. The beans seemed to be a mix of light and medium roast. I don't mean somewhere in between, I mean the roast was inconsistent - some beans were light and some were more medium. I have to wonder if this was the reason they weren't as good as I was hoping they would be.

I really enjoyed this coffee. It ticked many boxes of things I enjoy, but was ultimately right behind a coffee that knocked it out of the park and just didn't shine as brightly. Good mellow flavors, not a lot of up front sweetness and a long finish made it enjoyable, but not great.

Hard pressed to get any fruit notes from this one. It lacked body, as well. Overall, pretty meh.

This is a solid light roasted Ethiopian. Brewed with a V60 you get some nice florals, almost akin to chamomile. It has a lighter black tea body and some tanic black tea aftertaste. Acidity overall is more muted. As an espresso you get hit with some spice on the nose and a bit more citrus. Overall it's quite enjoyable.

Pretty underwhelming - tried grind and brew adjustments but couldn’t get much character out of this coffee. Overall it felt too thick and syrupy to do much with.

Well balanced acidity, the “front of the tongue” type, not the sour lemon type, which doesn’t demand my full attention while being present. Floral and a bit of dry mango after taste. Extract very nicely with V60.

Roasted on 04/08 and delivered on 04/11. Currently brewing using a v60 and a Porlex mini grinder. In general, I'm of the opinion that you really can't go wrong with Ethiopian beans for making pour over coffee, so settled on the Kuma Ethiopia Guji as my first coffee from Mistobox.
I wasn't really blown away on first impression, but wanted to reserve judgement as I was trying the coffee three days off roast. I wouldn't say it was terrible, but it was slightly more two dimensional or muted in terms of complexity than I'd normally expect from an Ethiopian.
It's been five days since roast and am now getting more of a developed and rounded flavor profile. Definitely a bit more of a syrupy/molassas flavor. Get a solid note of black tea on the front end with a bit of a lemon zest after taste. Overall, has developed into a much more complex tasting cup than first impression.
Note that Mistobox rates 3 stars as 'OK' whereas I tend to view a three star rating as a good rating. As a reference, some of my all time favorite coffees are a Ethiopia Sidamo Ardi and Yemen Haraaz-Red Marqaha.

One of my favorite. Syrupy sweetness. Balanced with a complex level of flavors of earl grey tea, lemon, berries, tropical fruit, etc.

Light with a zesty floral scent and a slight lemon flavor. This tastes like no coffee I've ever had and it's absolutely a good thing. I can't stop drinking it.
