This is the Ethiopia Shakiso Natural brought to you by Populace Coffee. Grown by Kayon Mountain Farm in the Shakiso, Guji, Oromia region at 1900–2200 meters, this Full Natural coffee is a perfect example of why we love coffees from Ethiopia.
This was the most versatile coffee I have ever tasted; therefore, making time to prepare and enjoy a cup of this Ethiopia Shakiso Natural was always an incredibly satisfying, halting experience.
one of the best so far
I really liked this, amazing flavor
it was ok. It had a good body, and balance acidity, but it had more bitterness that I would have liked
I liked, but my husband did not.
Couldn't really taste much fruity notes. Did taste vibrant though
Overpowering berry taste, especially blueberry. Otherwise a good roast.
The coffee was really good! Really a sweet berry type of coffee. The berries were very profound.
Delicious. Absolutely delicious
I initially selected lighter roasts because it is outside of my comfort zone and I wanted to try something different (I'm usually a dark roast fan). While I do enjoy this coffee, it is definitely more floral that I'm used to and, consequently, I'm not all that jazzed about finishing this bag.
Fruity and rich, very very enjoyable and smooth.
really solid Ethiopian
Really love the brightness in this cup. A lot of flavors here and they’re ones I haven’t experienced much before in coffee. I’ve enjoyed working with this coffee and tasting/flavor exploration it’s taken me on.
Probably delicious for those that love fruity coffee but not my favorite.
Loved it. Your tasting notes summary was spot on; you get the red berries right up front, and it finishes smooth. Best Ethiopian coffee I’ve had. Looking forward to the Latin American roasts!
Bright, typical Ethiopian....in the best possible way. Lots of berries and a little citrus.
Missed the mark. Seemed like the beans may have been roasted too long for the flavor profile they were going for. Nice try.
Excellent coffee! One of my favorites so far.
Loved the light roast and flavor notes
As you would expect from a natural Ethiopian - sweet, fruity, and just great. I could drink this all day!
Enjoyed the hint of blueberries, even though is was red berries!
I picked up the berry notes of this coffee pretty well. They weren't strong or forward, but they were there. The roast wasn't too bad, and the aroma was pretty normal.
floral, tea-like, too dark
Excellent choice! It had the bright tasting notes I love. Good stuff!
Not the natural process fruit bomb I was hoping for, but still a very solid cup of coffee. I would agree with the "vibrant" adjective.
Truly delicious. The berry flavors are why I love African coffees, and this is a great one.
Really enjoying some uncommon notes in this coffee. It is a very interesting natural and if you like naturals, you may enjoy as well.
