This is the Ethiopia Shakiso Natural brought to you by Brandywine Coffee Roasters. This Ethiopian Heirloom coffee was grown 1,900 - 2,630 meters above sea level by the Mormora Coffee Company in the Shakiso region of Ethiopia. The farm is about 17 kilometers from the city itself and almost 500 kilometers from Addis Ababa. The farm is densely populated with indigenous trees and produces approximately 5,400 bags of coffee each year. Mormora is about 650 hectares in size, with 450 hectares of that devoted solely to coffee production. Growth is aided by ample rainfall and excellent red soil.
A very nice example of a Ethiopian heirloom coffee. Notes of stone fruit and strawberry present well in a juicy body with a mild yet pleasant acidity. This is a quality coffee.
In terms of dialing this in for espresso, it's actually a little difficult. Also, perhaps Brandywine has spoiled me! While I still consider this coffee an excellent natural sundried, it isn't as good as the previous two naturals that I got from them. Regardless, this is still an excellent drip coffee.
Love the complexity between the sweet and floral notes, with a nice round finish.
Love this Ethiopian coffee. Great balance of flavors and quality taste. Highly recommend.
wow. strawberry shortcake!
you can smell the fruits as soon as you open the bag. nice clean finish
This coffee is decent, it's not very floral and the fruit notes are muted, even when the coffee is cooled/cold. The bite of slight bitter chocolate is not pleasant- perhaps this was roasted to far. Bottom line...I won't be getting this in the future. Disappointed.
