This is the Ethiopia Shakiso Natural brought to you by Brandywine Coffee Roasters. This Ethiopian Heirloom coffee was grown 1,900 - 2,630 meters above sea level by the Mormora Coffee Company in the Shakiso region of Ethiopia. The farm is about 17 kilometers from the city itself and almost 500 kilometers from Addis Ababa. The farm is densely populated with indigenous trees and produces approximately 5,400 bags of coffee each year. Mormora is about 650 hectares in size, with 450 hectares of that devoted solely to coffee production. Growth is aided by ample rainfall and excellent red soil.
This coffee is decent, it's not very floral and the fruit notes are muted, even when the coffee is cooled/cold. The bite of slight bitter chocolate is not pleasant- perhaps this was roasted to far. Bottom line...I won't be getting this in the future. Disappointed.
