It's been so long since I've had sightglass coffee. Pre-pandemic I would often get a chemex and an espresso at their SOMA roaster in SF and just enjoy the space and coffee for a while. Now that I live in Georgia, the commute is too far and getting this bag has brought a lot of that joy back. This roast is exactly what I look for in 3rd wave coffee - a coffee that doesn't stray too far from tasting like coffee, it just elevates it. For me the fruitiness comes as a bursting, juicy sensation at the end of a sip. Very satisfying.
Brewed in a 3c chemex, flash iced. 30g coffee, 100g ice, 200g water. ~4 minutes.

I have a Bambino Plus with a Eureka Mignon grinder and this was very hard to dial in for espresso.

It was so smooth, and yet so much flavor. I'm smitten!

Nice taste. Cocoa nibs probably not my favorite. The grind made for a slow drip on the pour over.
