The Kenya Githiga was carefully roasted for you by Square One Coffee. Grown by the Gathiga Coffee Factory Cooperative in the Muranga District, Central Province region at 1,700 meters, this fully washed coffee is a perfect example of why we love coffees from Kenya. We love this coffee for its nuanced notes of fruits with a dynamic acidity.
It's taken me a lot of brews to get used to this bean, but I'm finally ready to say it makes a great cup. The acidity is incredibly strong (so strong that early cuppings always tasted under extracted), but after cranking the grind down and stretching out the brew time, I got a really juicy cup that tasted like I just took a bite out of a ripe orange. Definitely recommend.
Digging this Kenya. Trying to dial it in, but it is a fun coffee nonetheless. Juicy and tropical are what come to mind with and acidity that allows for this to be a really drinkable cup on a daily basis. Amazing dry aroma.
Pretty good. Definitely grew on me. Wasn't a huge fan at first, but by the end of the bag I really enjoyed it.
Smell and taste of blackberry jam! So, so good!
Interesting cup of coffee and quite yummy. Solid fruity notes with a wine like finish. Not 5 star coffee but quite good. Kalita wave has been best method with this then aero other methods you don't get all the good qualities
