Description
This is the Mexico Yachil brought to you by Higher Grounds Coffee. This Fair Trade and Organic certified coffee was grown by the 777 Mayan small holder producers in the Chiapas region of Mexico between 1,000 - 1,300 meters above sea level. This is a well developed medium roast that we thing tastes like dark chocolate and almond with a rich, lingering finish.

I think I’m just not a fan of Mexican coffees, I’ve tried several and I just don’t find them to be compelling or tasty as other coffees I’ve tried.

The flavors are amazing, my only complaint is this is supposed to be dark roast and I would argue it is medium.

We really enjoyed this coffee, we found it a bit brighter in term of being able to distinguish the individual notes.

Again very rich in a good way. Got the chocolate notes in this one which I liked, but was a little bitter. Tough call between the Higher Grounds from last 2 shipments. This one had better flavor, but was a little bitter.

don't normally like dark roast but this was pretty balanced. The description is written by the roaster? They are not Fair Trade Certified though are B Corps and have their own fair trade verifier it seems.

Definitely chocolate. Love the aroma of the beans and their texture. This coffee tastes elegant, aromatic. The chocolate is prevalent before and after brewing.

Not as bold or rich as I was expecting, more of a medium bodied brew. Strong nutty flavor, more milk chocolate and light cream undertones. French Press.

I didn't think I would like this coffee. It is listed as a dark roast, and I usually prefer coffees from Africa or South America rather than Mexico. But this was wonderful. Thanks!
