This is the Nicaragua brought to you by Dillanos Coffee Roasters. Central America is known for producing some of the best coffees in the world and this Nicaragua is no exception. Nueva Segovia, the region this coffee is grown in, has been garnering praise for its quality coffees in recent years. This cup is balanced with nutty, baking spice and herbal notes.
Nice flavors; I enjoyed it. But I'm looking for something darker, earthier and more full-bodied still. I think it's time to move to true dark roasts. I've enjoyed expressos in the past and I love french roasts. Send me your favorite in one of those categories and we'll give it a try. Thanks!
Definitely my favorite so far! Would be interested in trying something similar with caramel notes possibly.
Too roasted, very oily beans.

Enjoyed the boldness. Would like a more nutty, caramel or chocolate flavor. But I also like to be surprised each month. I have not received any over the last couple years that I did not like.
I liked it and find it consistently good. If I had one criticism it would be that it is slightly reminiscent of Starbucks. For me that's not a great quality. I only include this though because it's just a hint of that...I had to think on it a while to figure out what it reminded me of. Hope that's helpful.
Not very satisfying. Kind of bitter and uninteresting. Much preferred coffee #1
Just ok, it had kind of an ashy finish. Maybe a blend would be better for me.
It was too bitter and one note tasting to me.
This is a good coffee, but the roast is quite dark and oily. It is excellent if that is the type of coffee you like. I simply mention it because it would be hard to classify this as a medium roast, which I believe it is. Overall the flavor is nice, very nutty, and robust.
Great flavor, full bodied.
Good flavor, I liked this one a bit better than my the Anodyne and Intelligentsia. I'm thinking that I'm tending to like DARKER roasts at this point.
Decent depth and body. Flavor is smooth and inoffensive, but not particularly interesting.
I was excited how oily and dark the beans were out of the bag but the excitement stopped there. The beans did not have much of an aroma that hits your nose when you open the bag. The roasting seemed to dark and almost burnt, which really took away from enjoying the flavor of the coffee. I did enjoy the subtle nutty notes but it was over powered by the "burnt" taste. The coffee was a little acidic for my stomach too. I really wanted to like the roast but after tasting it 5 days in a row found myself not looking forward to drinking it. Bummer.
Good Coffee. Preferred Good Folk Day Tripper Blend myself but still liked enough that I would buy again.
I did not care for the Coffee #2. I like the first round of coffees much better. I tend to like the dryer coffee beans vs. the oily coffee beans.

Wasn't too happy with the first coffee but this made me yearn for the first. Too oily beans made me think a mistake was made with the production of this coffee. Initial taste was exactly like a Dunkin' Donuts Turbo Shot. I did enjoy the aftertaste of this coffee.
Really enjoyed this coffee. I prefer medium roast and my wife prefers dark. This was a nice compromise. Great flavor. Not too acidic. Balanced.
This is a VERY good roast and the notes and mouth feel are great as well. Really happy with this coffee!
Medium dark roast. Has some darker tones upfront but is well balanced and drinks well all day, Might have popped more if roasted a little less.
I liked this coffee about as much as I did the first two. The roast level could've been more bold, though. I did not notice any significant tasting notes, either. This coffee was more on the light side in terms of characteristics, and could have more flavor to it.
A bit dark for my taste, but a good darker roast.
The flavors complimented each other well, and was smooth to drink down to the last sip. It reminds me of a crisp fall morning. It was more bold than the first coffee I received. I would like to try something similar to a medium-dark roast, but not with a strong nutty tasting note.
This coffee was incredibly smooth to drink. All of the flavors complemented each other well, especially the subtle hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. There was no bitterness and was easy to drink down to the last sip. The smell of the coffee beans and taste reminded me of a fall morning.
Very good. Slightly mild for my taste, but it grows on you and I was sorry to see it gone. Would enjoy drinking this again.
Loved the depth of this one.Smooth and toasty nut finish. Great to start and end the day with.
Very nice brew. Smooth full body, no bitter after taste. Very enjoyable coffee.
Fine. Generic? Like coffee I'd get a nice restaurant. I want more depth.
Surprised me. As a rule, I have liked herbals less than this one. Three scoops of this with one scoop of Sbux French roast is really good!
This is not a medium roast. The beans are dark and extremely oily, and intensely bitter when brewed. Perhaps this batch is a dud?
Enjoyed the bean but it didn't have a "wow factor".
Wasn't the most flavorful coffee, but it was smooth and had character. Overall very drinkable.
Not very smooth. It tasted over roasted.
Most Starbucks-like yet. Just wasn't good in drip, pourover, or French press.
Labeled as a medium roast, but it was quite dark for my taste. Definitely not my favorite.
This is not what I think of as a medium roast. Beans were black and very oily. I'm honestly surprised it was picked considering what my preferences were set at.
This coffee didn't have any spunk. It was a mild coffee. It was ok but it didn't suit my taste as outstanding.
Too dark for my tastes. Not sure if herbal notes and spices are the kinds of flavors I'm looking for either.
No specific notes - not as strong of a flavor as previous coffees we've had.
Very spicy and earthy. Somewhat burnt taste and very savory. I think a lighter coffee, with fruity\floral\chocolate notes will be more to my liking
least favorite so far. very acidic tasting
Good balance as its described but would like it to have a bit more flavor to it
DELICIOUS. Preferred in a french press. Dark roast with subtle intensity, makes the boldness enjoyable far past the first cup. The deepness of the flavor, a chocolate under tone, it livens the taste buds!!
We really did not prefer this roast. We could not taste any interesting flavors in it. It kind of all blended together.
The taste is too bitter, like it might have been roasted too long. The spice profile is muddled by bitterness.
My boyfriend was not a fan of this one at all. We made it in the chemex and the French press and weren't super impressed with either
My wife didn't like the spice notes. I thought it was an interesting coffee to explore.
Smooth with subtle nutty and spice, delicious
Did not enjoy this bag and most if it is still sitting in the cupboard untouched. It had a burnt flavor, reminiscent of Starbucks and a bit of ash/tobacco. Couldn't stomach it and so disappointed the whole bag is going to waste. :(
I like the richness of this coffee, but it has a sour taste.
More darkly roasted and oilier than we usually like but still very well balanced and lacking any of the over-roasted qualities I expected when I first looked at the beans. Would definitely enjoy again!
The beans were wet and I guess because it was a washed coffee, but not real sure...it seemed odd. The flavor was good

This coffee was a little to bitter for my taste. I would have to say for someone that likes something with a more spicy flavor this would be great just not what my palette likes.
Roast seems to dark while coffee brews weak. Flavor is more bitter than I like.
To be quite honest this was not my favorite. Even though it was of a darker roast it was somewhat bitter and lacked... something. Not very round or smooth and couldn't quite figure this one out. I tried playing around with the coarseness of the beans, and different brewing methods with no further success.
It has a good flavor but it has a pretty strong aftertaste... I tried using a bit less coffee but it was just washed out
This is a pretty good medium roast, but to be honest it's not something that I would ever actively seek out to purchase again.
Good, but didn't blow me away. The taste just didn't match up to the incredible aroma. I usually brew my coffee on medium but had to go "strong" to bring out the flavor in this one.
A pretty good brew that reminded me of a Guatemalan that I enjoy. Not too shabby for my first experience.
This coffee has a very mild, full body taste. It's a medium roast by all measurable characteristics. It has a very full body, with a nice earthy, nutty, undertone. I used a French press for preparation as it's not an espresso roast, nor do I have access to a Chemex at this point in time. The blend has the overall taste of a South American roast. The roast isn't perfect though, as it does have a faint muddy taste, but this could also be due to my brewing method. Overall it's a solid medium roast, however, it is by no means something I will probably order again, nor seek out.
