This is the Organic Sumatra Ketiara brought to you by Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters. This Fair Trade and Organic certified coffee was sourced from the growing region of Takengon Highlands, Central Aceh in Sumatra and was grown at 1,200 - 1,500 meters. This coffee is full bodied and earthy with rich notes of baking spices in the finish.
Good, solid. Not as earthy as some others, but god.
Fantastic coffee, rich deep flavor with an excellent spice/roast flavor that rides on top. First bag I've gotten that I immediately want to get a second of as I'm running out of this one.
Makes an amazing cup in the french press.
This is a wonderful Sumtara coffee! Great for any occasion and brews up well with all methods tried. A true full bodied coffee which as advertised is earthy with tones of baking spices.
VERY DARK and roasty. Not balanced at all. worked hard dosing up/down and it was just not workable. It tasted chemically and over roasted.
Delicious, with some funk!
WhileI am a fan of most Evans Bros coffee, the Sumatra just didn't do it for me. It was thin and weak, with little to no flavor. Of course, your tastebuds may vary!
Delicious and fragrant brew, one of my favorites so far.
Brewed in V60. I have an on/off relationship with single origin coffees, mostly because of single origin coffees like this. Relatively one-dimensional flavor and pretty boring. I keep thinking "this would be a great bean to use in a blend," it just doesn't really stand up on its own.
Nice, balanced medium roast. Preferred a pour over vs. drip. Prefer a slightly darker roast. I'd go with their Big Timber Blend again vs. this one.
Very nice Sumatra. Nice flavor, not too robust, and easy finish.
Very heavy on the baking spices. Brewed in Chemex
Really loved the smoothness of this coffee. Especially enjoyed the papaya notes. Was flavorful and fresh!
This coffee lacked a lot of flavor. The aroma was very monotone and the flavor was lacking. The flavor was very faint, it was almost as if it was in the background and I had to search for it compared to other coffees which are right in your face and palate.
Not much stood out. Not bad, have had more enjoyable
I dont know if something got weird with mine but it end up tasting very sour, was not satisfied by this.
Pretty good smooth coffee, but not a lot of complex or added notes. Tried with both the pour over and french press, came out light on flavor both ways. Not getting the baking spices and does not seem full bodied. I would say this is a medium bodied coffee that is easy to drink but don't expect a ton of added flavor
Awesome awesome coffee!! At first I was hesitant...after my first cup I thought it was lacking in flavor. However after that one cup, this coffee became one of my favorites! It's bolder than I expected from a medium roast, and has a great chocolatey and nutty finish. Not too bitter or acidic.
Great Roast. It is not often that you get a full bodied coffee that is able to thread the line of not being too strong, capture all of the subtle flavors and not become too acidic. Very nice.
Rich, full bodied but not too heavy. Nicely blended flavor, and I like the with hints of dark chocolate and baking spices. I could make this a daily drink!
Perfect for me.
Great strong flavor! Highly recommend.
Another rich, chocolatey coffee, esp. in French Press.
Nice, earthy and strong without being overpowering.
For me this is a very well balanced coffee because I tested out with different types creamer variants with it. The flavor was pretty consistent throughout the testing. I also like that this coffee was strong, but not too bitter.
Tastes muddy and bland
Great way to start a day
I like this one, but not as much as the first two.
