This is Toni brought to you by Portrait Coffee. This Fully Washed Parainema variety of Honduran coffee is smooth, balanced and unapologetically chocolate, inspired by the acclaimed author, Toni Morrison.
Felt that while this was good, it wasn't exceptional like some of the others that I have tried. Excellent chocolate notes, though!
Meh-- Not good. Almost fake tasting. A lot of hazelnut, but again, cloying, nothing else going on. Didn't feel nearly as quality as a lot of other stuff I've been into these days.
Thought I'd like it better but wasn't my fav
Very well balanced
just tasted roasty.
It was good, but tasted a bit mild for us.
They must have changed the origin to Honduras, The bag I had was from Guatemala.
Similar flavor profile as noted above. I would have bought it again.
Not a huge chocolate fan
Execellent coffee. Very smooth and balanced. No harshness or bitterness.
Ground extra fine for use in espresso machine. Lovely taste and have it sometimes twice a day even. Brew it as an americano and sometimes as a latte. Very delicious
The beans smelled great but when I brewed them in a French press, the result was a strong and bitter flavor. I normally grind up 58-59 grams of beans for my French presses and even went down to 57g for the second French press this morning, but got the same result. Had to add almond milk to mellow it out.
It’s definitely chocolatey but not a very interesting flavor profile. It’s very nice each morning but I prefer something brighter with more eccentric flavors.
I'd drink this again, great espresso nice grind
It was just ok. It was smooth and you do taste the hints of chocolate and nuttiness, but it's very very subtle. Almost tasted more like a light roast rather than a medium roast or something with a little more body.
love the coffee-thanks
It was fine, no harshness, good mouthfeel, but no real distinct flavors
This was not good. Very lightly roasted beans. There was barely any aroma after grind or flavor after brew. Tried several cups with various methods: press, pour-over, drip. One of the most flavorless coffees I’ve had in a while. It actually reminded me of watered down Folgers or something. I know wet washed beans are lighter-bodied but there was almost no body. I hope the next selected coffee is better. Really disappointing way to start the service. I would refrain from recommending this particular coffee to anyone aside from maybe the lovers of the lightest roast. Sorry to be so negative, I wanted to like it.
Mild and smooooth
Loved the finishing notes in this blend
Complex and rich flavors. Good chocolate offset with a savory burn/bitterness
Good flavor but not very rich.
Coffee was good. Received the Honduras bean, not Guatemala.
Good coffee great taste smelled divine out the bag.
Not strong enough
A bit thin, but good enough.
A little dusty? Definitely got the chocolate notes. overall nice
Big fan of Portrait
Slightly more bitter than expected. Added a small batch of v floral Ethiopian to balance out nicely!
Seemed to be darker in taste than the colors would lead me to believe. I found it to be often both sour and bitter at the same time. Tried varying temperature and grind size but still came out either too sour or bitter.
It was okay and had a definite chocolate note
Good coffee would get it again
Didn't enjoy this one at all. It's too light for me.
Delicious chocolates coffee!
One of my favorites, perfect in everyway and very dessert-like.
One of my favorite coffee.
Even brewed strong it was still a bit thin in the flavor department.
says my husband "damn, that's good coffee". Nice rounded flavor, no bitter after taste.
Super good! Great in my V60 and Chemex. Works great in a 16:1 or 14:1 ratio. Definitely balanced and great cup!
Excellent as an espresso.
Excellent. I really liked this one and I think am developing a taste for Guatemalan coffees. Brewing primarily with a pour over set up. Nice chocolatey flavor without being too sweet.
Smooth with a noticeable chocolateyness.
Great coffee. Please add more selections from Portrait Coffee.
As the description suggests, well balanced with chocolate and nuttiness throughout and hints of cherry. A little on the weaker side, but still very solid.
