The Dark Sumatra Ratu Ketiara Gayo was carefully roasted for you by Anodyne Coffee Roasters. This Semi-Washed (Wet-Hulled) coffee was grown in the Aceh region of Sumatra between 1200 and 1600 meters above sea level. This coffee comes from family run farms that have been organized by the Ratu Ketiara Gayo Coop. Specifically, this group of women farmers was formed in 2017 to help overcome gender inequality among coffee farmers in Indonesia, as well as help support young farmers.
I wasn't a big fan of the licorice notes in this one.
Best so far. Absolutely love the subtle acidity, deep flavor, and smoothness of this coffee.
This was a little too far dark for us for hot coffee, but did wind up making some good cold brew!
Rich and surprisingly good. Smooth too.
Not a fan of licorice flavor.
The coffee grounds smell rich with flavors of Dark Chocolate and tobacco. Those flavors carry into the tasting profile with an added bit of smokiness as well. This is a full body and leans towards the dark roast taste but the beans color are a true medium to medium dark. Even with these dark flavors the coffee still finishes with a little sweetness, and then a lingering bitterness you expect with a dark roast. A+ cup of coffee.
Rich with a bit of a bitter finish. I like this coffee and would get it again.
Whish it was a little fuller bodied
Good, not the biggest fan of Licorice tho.
This is a very dark roast that at best tastes of dark chocolate, and at worst is on the burnt end of the spectrum. Would not drink again.
Much better than the last one. Enjoyed sipping on this throughout the day.
it was great, fruity like we like
Smokey definitely, but not as full bodied as touted.
This coffee was a bit too light for my tastes. I was surprised it was classified as a dart roast.
Fantastic coffee. Prefer this over Deep Space
Loved this coffee! Smooth and delicious. I think I prefer dark chocolate notes over nut.
Tasty; paired well with my creamer. Would've like a little more body. Balanced and smooth.
horrible, tasted burnt no matter what temp i poured at
Love it! Nice Smooth Chocolate Flavor - more milk chocolate than dark. Not very dark of a roast but at least not a burnt flavor.
It was sweeter in a sense then I typically go for. Tend to push for that really robust flavor myself if that makes sense
I love everything made by this roaster
Wasn’t roasted long enough, so wasn’t a dark enough roast. Flavor profile was closer to Columbia than Pacific Rim. Won’t order this bean fro you again.
I really enjoyed this, and could drink it again. Nice body, and the notes of chocolate and even licorice made for good flavors.
A nice dark roast single origin. Very smooth with earthy finish. Neither bitter nor acidic. A nice choice but I would still prefer a more oily bean.
Not quite as dark as I like, but a solid roast.
Incredible. Probably the best so far as far as a full bodied flavor. It had a real deep flair and an aroma that sank in.
Nice flavor. It didn't have to monitor the brew as closely to get a good flavor. It gave a nice mouthfeel and a pleasant but earthy flavor. Would drink again
Good coffee. Rich and smooth but not quite strong enough for me.
Nice cup but not a favorite.
I think this is a fantastic coffee blend, and my wife has a really picky sense of taste. She absolutely loves this coffee!
Excellent cup of coffee. Clean, bold tastes of dark fruit and chocolate. Takes cream well and gives strong mocha / chocolate milk notes (black is still my preference) but good to know if you are a fan of this. Highly recommend!
This is a decent dark roast. I didn't experience the licorice notes, but there's a lot of interesting things going on with this blend. Medium-bodied at best.
One of my favorites ever. More like this please.
I use my beans for both pourover as well as espresso. I find that beans with oily coat are not good for espresso, at least in my hands. So please don't send me oily coat beans.
Loved this one! Very good!
This coffee is amazing! So far our favorite.
Really nice flavor and depth
Great coffee perfectly roasted
Okay for one time, but too light for a reorder. Seems more like a medium roast .
