This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Populace Coffee will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
This is the Espresso Proper brought to you by Populace Coffee. Espresso Proper is a seasonal offering that is meant to stand up well in milk and also be great as a stand alone beverage. In the cup you'll taste a range of flavors from caramel to ginger with fruity and vibrant notes of melon.
This is a very smooth coffee with a very clean, light flavor. I served it as cappuccino with whole milk. I prefer my coffee with a bit more complexity and more of a medium roast, but this is an excellent light roast.
Liked it! It was my first bag so I’m not totally sure what part of it I liked in particular but I did enjoy it!
Not a fan
Was my first fresh batch of beans ever. Best cup of coffee me and the wife ever had.
Smooth but with a bit more acidity than I prefer.
Exceptional in our espresso machine, pulling shots was a breeze and the flavor was fantastic
Very good! First time I think I have had fresh roasted coffee. Didn’t require any sugar or sweetener.
We really disliked this coffee. Had to throw it out. Why did you send espresso? I wanted medium roast.
Smells good but when I had the first coup It didn’t really taste that good. Can you send something that’s not expresó? I’m using a French press
I personally don’t like this coffee. It’s not full-bodied enough. I enjoy more caramel, toffee, and chocolate notes.
I was nervous after reading melon and lime but luckily there wasn’t much acidity. Found this to be an enjoyable coffee but not one I would order again.
Might prefer a slightly brighter, sweeter tone
Almost a little too fruity for my taste. Would prefer more nutty / chocolate notes, but still a very good coffee!
Loved this espresso. Tastes amazing in a latte
good but a little bitter fro me
This might be due to a limited sample size but I thought these beans made an amazing espresso shot. I just recently got a Lucca Mini machine from Clive Coffee FYI. I've been learning how to be a home barista, making lots of lattes, and I thought these beans were great.
The flavors of melon and ginger are not for me.
It was a little light for my preferences and a bit on the acidic side.
Was brewed using a drip machine. Initial taste presented citrus notes that finish smooth with the hints caramel/toffee.
Thanks for the fresh roasted beans! I felt it's a little sour then I expected. I wish it for it to be more darker and nuttier.
Lime and melon for sure, not enough depth / chocolate or toffee notes. Definitely a little acidic and bright, good but too much of those notes for my personal preference at 199F. When increased brew temp to 205, brought out more "dark" tones and MUCH better balance.
It was good but nothing special. I tried it both as an Americano and espresso
When I tried the coffee with a Hario V60, the flavors came out better. So the coffe is more suited to a pour-over than an espresso machine. I changed the ratings to reflect the pour-over flavor
Good for espresso -- was pretty easy to dial in, and I love that they gave the recipe. The notes were pretty accurate too. Mouthfeel was great. However, it gets washed out in cappuccino so I didn't try it in a latte.
Very light roast so it was hard to get the grind dialed in right. Citrus forward, which isn’t my favorite with milk.
Disgusting. Did not smell like coffee, did not taste like coffee. I hated it and threw it all out.
Good but May prefer a bolder flavor. Very smooth.
Tastes like dried mushrooms. Not good.
Good smooth citrusy flavor but Not so sure about the hint of Ginger. Liked the aroma a lot though.
Did well with milk, but a little too sour when made as an espresso on its own. Makes a good Aeropress, though, which helped cut down on the sour taste.
I prefer a more floral and stone fruit type bean, rather than ginger and melon. The coffee has a good nose, but body and finish are not as smooth as I hoped.
I pretty much only drink as a black americano, so while this did blend well for a flat white, it is not what I am looking for in a standalone coffee.
Love the bright fruity notes and the range of warmth in the flavors. A complex tasting experience I've been enjoying every morning.
After drinking dark roasts for 20 years I'm having a hard time with lighter roasts. I think it will take a little adjusting, both in brewing and me appreciating them. I enjoyed this more as a drip coffee than I did as a cappuccino.
A good light-roast espresso blend for people like me who are used to medium/dark. interesting flavor without the sour notes I usually taste in light-roasted espresso.
it was very difficult to dial in. the roaster's website recommends a slightly longer ratio of 1:2.5 ... 17 grams in / 42 grams out in 28 seconds. (I wish that mistobox would include brewing suggestions with the coffee.)
Had to grind much finer than usual to hit those numbers. but once I got close, I was able to pull better shots and taste the melon notes.
Never was able to get much crema, though, even though the beans were fresh.
I would prefer less fruity coffee.
Tasted great! I made hot coffee with it (via a french press) and cold brew. Tasted great for the summer!
It is robust but smooth.
The smell out of the bag was intoxicating. I think I need to get the proportions better for my next cup- it seemed more gentle than I typically drink, but it was very good!
Love it. Usually go for dark roasts but this is a new favorite!
My first two pour over brews of Espresso Proper were poor extractions. I had to change the grind on my Baratza Encore to 8. I had it wet to 12 setting which was obviously wrong for this roast. This bean has a delicate fruit undertone with very little if any acidity and smooth finish. Perfect roast to assinuate the flavor extraction of the bean. In one word Espresso Proper is "classy." High tea classy. Impress your family and friends classy. Needless to say, I am in love with it.
Quite sour when taken black, but almost tea-like once sugar and creamer are added.
I enjoyed this coffee a lot but it had just a little too much of a fruit flavor for me. Brewed using a french press.
Really enjoyed it, like the taste but would prefer more of a smoky flavor
Toasty, lovely didnt get the ginger or melon notes
It has a mild and slightly sweet and nutty flavor, which I enjoyed.
Really love this coffee the fruity notes are subtle and not too overpowering. Really unique taste
Most excellent, probably 5 star worthy but it is just the first one i've tried so far. My only criticism would be it's a little more bitter/acidic than i'm used to but it wasn't too over powering
Smelled great but the taste was very light. I used more scoops than normal when making the coffee to try to make up for the flavor.
First, the bag arrived damaged as it had a hole in it. It wasn't flavorful enough, too muddy tasting. It might be too light. The beans smelled good.
Very acidic and fruity tasting. Not a bad change but not what I would likento drink every morning.
This was our favorite one so far! We both enjoyed this A LOT!!! I wish I had more of this one. It tasted good brewed hot and as a cold brew! I didn't think he would like it due to the Melon, Ginger, Lively notes, because those are things I enjoy...however, we both were so impressed and delighted by this coffee!
Hard to make espresso in my French press!
It’s wasn’t dark enough, I wanted a dark Smokey taste.
Little too fruity
Really enjoyed this over my local espresso. Less bitter and more flavorful.
"Lively" seems to be an accurate description for this coffee. The flavors seem extremely mellow compared to what I was expecting, especially with Espresso" in the title.
I feel that I may have misunderstood and, in turn, misrepresented my desires. I apparently would prefer a darker roast with bolder flavors, contrary to what I believe I stated in the assessment.
It was bright and smooth! We were very surprised that this would be considered an espresso blend (we brewed in a 12 cup drip appliance) since it seemed almost light, but we thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was good, had a lot of flavor I hadn't experienced in coffee before. Still struggling to figure out how coarse/fine to grind. Would like something a bit sweeter/more flavorful
It took me a while to dial this in. I liked it, but weaker than I like them.
Unique flavor, we ground it pretty fine. I loved the taste, he said it was a little too subtle.
This was a decent coffee but I think I would prefer a darker/ bolder coffee flavor with more subtle fruity notes.
Also, do you have a blend that works well for cold brewing?
Brewed this as regular coffee, not espresso and enjoyed it. Nothing amazing but the brightness and slightly sour finish was interesting. Very light and subtle.
My first shipment from Mistobox. Really good, but I am still looking for more.
Loves this! Great blend of flavors, smooth and not acidic.
I like my coffee a bit more bitter than this one was. It felt a bit diluted
On the lighter side. Didn't love the after taste. Was drinkable, but wouldn't repeat.
Did not like, way too bitter
I loved it, but my boyfriend hates the melon/citrus notes. No for him, yes for me :)
pulls a great shot
It had nice flavor but a little mild for me for an Espresso
I found it bitter with lingering unpleasant aftertaste. Not a fan.
This was good but I expected it to be stronger considering it says Expresso. There weren't any brewing directions for water to coffee proportions so I just did a tablespoon per cup and it seemed too light.
Acidic and bright.
A little lost in cappuccino and latte, decent for a flat white. Prefer a bolder coffee myself but those who enjoy milder coffee may like this one
I brewed 3 heaped spoon in 5 cups of water and was very happy. I liked the rich caramel taste.
I think it’s on the more darker side of coffee that I like. It’s still delicious! The crema is beautiful! My dark flavors are more like the Italian roast from Starbucks.
not a big Fan
My husband and I do not like the tart flavor at the end of the sip.
Not our usual pick for a coffee. A little more mellow than what we usually drink. We brewed this twice, the first time with less than the recommended coffee and we enjoyed some of the different tasting notes. The second time with the recommended amount of coffee and found it a little to acidic and too much of the fruit notes.
Connor, my man, you asked for the feedback - I don't do anything halfway:
It was fine, but it just wasn't quite for me. I thought the notes where just a bit too pronounced and a touch too sweet. I typically do not like lighter roasts, but am always open to trying out different roast levels. FWIW, I can certainly tell the complexity the roaster was going for, and for people whom prefer lighter to darker roasts it would be a great matchup. I would say if the caramel-citrus notes where a bit more subdued I would have probably loved it. They really popped out at me - it all just seemed a bit too sweet. The body was very thin, which I really liked, I could have easily drank four cups in a sitting without noticing. In all it was almost like drinking warm uncarbonated soda - maybe almost a less spicy Dr. Pepper cut with Pepsi??
For the record and in general, I use this service to brew coffee at work. I use a Sowden softbrew (https://www.sowdenathome.com/sowden-softbrew-coffee) which I guess I would describe as most closely matching a french press preparation wise, EXCEPT, no pressing, which ya, it's a pretty decent difference.
Not sure if you are familiar with the brewer itself, it doesn't seem very mainstream/widespread; I received it as a gift and had never seen or heard of it myself. It generally produces thinner bodies.
I had been working through some backlog of coffee so just this morning got around to opening/tasting. I ground the beans with medium-fine coarseness in a Hario hand grinder. The first cup was black, the second had Laird Hamilton's "superfood unsweetened creamer TM" (I'm full-on insane, it's oily, but more or less flavorless) and three Splenda packets. I think with something bolder to cut it (half-and-half or cream) it would have a lot more body and maybe tune the notes a bit. I am also going to try a courser roast as the brewer is a little sensitive to that since the coffee just kinda sits there in the water. I'll also leave out the Splenda next go around.
TL;DR: It would probably be great for for others, but, come to think of it; I may be a oddly-specific, yet fussy, weirdo.
It smelled amazing
I really like this. I get the melon, but I must not be sophisticated enough to taste ginger. I like the low acid and rich finish. I would buy this again.
I really like this coffee! I like it brewed 20g:9oz h2o or maybe a touch stronger, with a scant spoon of sugar. It’s nice and bright, totally opposite of what I used to drink, and I’m so pleased! I never would have thought I’d be a black coffee drinker.
Made it as a hot bloom cold brew. Completely different! I prefer it brewed hot.
This coffee smells heavenly but I’m not tasting the same level of flavor. It is a bit weak.
mild but great flavors. we like our coffee stronger.
I did not like this at all. It tasted like hose water.
too mild, prefer darker roast, fuller flavors
Amazing notes and flavors!
Really delicious, we would drink this again.
This coffee is not as good as my usual Trader Joe's Fair Trade Breakfast Blend. I don't have anything good to say about it.
It was pretty good! Lots of flavor! Definitely want to brew it a different way to see if I can get more out of it.
Was good, would like to try a little lighter roast next time
It was great! Especially as a latte/cappuccino. The caramel/ really came through, tasted more like toffee.
Love the after taste, very smooth
This is a very citrus forward coffee. Very high acidity low key tastes awful but I get why people might like it.
The coffee is not bad, but I prefer a more full body coffee with more hints of fruits like berry. However this coffee is not bad at all
Didn’t love this one- nice to try something different but I had a hard time getting the brew right. Seemed acidic
While this blend is subtle in nature, it’s complex in flavor. Each cup contains notes of bright citrus and subtle melon. I just happen to prefer a slightly darker roast. Perhaps a stronger presence of toffee would have grounded it a bit more for me.
Great Coffee, a little mild in its flavors, but definitely a warmer sweeter feel to it, really enjoyable.
Great coffee!! I loved the melon flavor in it.
Not my favorite flavors in a coffee. Totally opposite to my profile actually and unsure why Misto chose it for me
Really tasty, best when it's fresh.
I really enjoy it! This is my first coffee from Mistobox so I'm still learning about what flavors I like the most, but good so far!
Strong in a good way. Really nice and delicious aftertaste.
For me, it seemed a bit underwhelming and bitter. I drink my coffee black so maybe it would mellow out the bitterness with some milk. Not my favorite.
Meh or Ok. I was still new to pour-over techniques which might have influenced this rating
Excellent. Enjoyed the complex flavors shots of this produced. Would buy for myself.
We really liked it but we mostly drink our espresso with oat milk and the subtleties of this nice coffee were hard to taste with the oat milk. But we did like it!
I did not like this. It was bitter.
once I found a good grind setting for this super hard bean, I was able to get better extraction, it definitely needs a finer grind, it was flowing too fast at first. couldn't taste the melon though. landed on this final recipe:
17 grams dose
30 grams extraction
this one is particularly prone to channelling or over extraction, maybe because its so hard.
Really good! I drink my coffee black and enjoyed this.
The espresso was overall good, but had more of a acidic taste that I would like. think it could have been the ginger undertones
I did not like this, it was too light. maybe I don't like as light as coffee as I thought!
Didn't like the fruity notes
I think I prefer a little bolder taste.
It was okay, not bad, but not a huge fan of the melon.
Too mild and acidic. Not enough flavor
It was smooth with delicious flavor profile!
Very good for a blend. Nicely balanced.
Delicious and smooth, drinking this was a truly lovely experience.
Very good, can definitely taste the fruity notes.
This coffee was not for our family, we did not finish it. It did not taste like described, just smells and tastes like dirt.
taste better than i expected
Not my cup of coffee, I liked the smell but the notes of the lime and melon threw me off. I don’t really think of tasting those types of foods in a coffee.
I'm not a huge fan of the melon/lime flavors in this coffee. At times it tastes almost a little sour. Not my favorite.
Absolutely delicious and smooth.
For our tastes, we did not find this suitable to drink as a straight black shot. It was too sour/bitter. With steamed milk, it was a lot better, but not a favorite.
it was a little on the lighter side. I make americano's and would like it to be a little bolder. overall the smell was good. Can we change the next coffee to fit these criteria?
It was okay
Not really my style. A tad more sour and fruity than is my preference.
It was a bit weaker (acidic?) than I usually like.
Liked it. A bit lighter than we usually go, but makes for nice variety.
I did not enjoy it the melon was too strong. felt like I wanted to vomit all morning.
I loved it - flavor was so rich, so delicious!
Very smooth. No crazy flavors - just a very solid good coffee. Would definitely get again. Would be good to have on hand for visitors who drink coffee but need to stay within the norm.
Extremely vibrant espresso!Amazing match. I have been drinking single origin for years and this made me realize what I miss about great blends. I have sent my family in Michigan to this roaster and have purchased other coffees.
I used this coffee in my usual double espresso shot. I enjoyed the aromas of almond extract, smoked clove, and a subtle caramel and steamed milk scent. It is certainly lively with a bit of green melon, lime peel, and a hint of grapefruit pith. It took me a bit of experimentation to get it dialed in and I settled on making a slightly longer shot with a post infusion to manage the acidity. I'm not quite on the bandwagon with the light roast trend as it trades complexity and brightness for drinkability and texture. Overall this coffee was fun to play with as each change to the brew process resulted in a noticeable change in flavor, but I miss the richness and balance I've had with other brews .
This coffee tastes thin on the front end to me and then bitter on the back end. Wouldn't buy it again if I had gotten it in a store.
Perfect balance for my palate! Loved this stuff.
I was skeptical of this pick since I make my coffee using the pour-over method, but I really enjoyed it. The taste was smooth without being bitter or overpowering.
The bright notes worked well for milk-based coffee drinks, a little to acidic for a straight black drip.
It seems almost bitter, but also too light. I keep feeling like I'm missing the coffee flavor in my coffee.
This coffee is not for me. It is a bit more acidic and fruity than what I typically enjoy. I’m sure that others who favor this type will give it a higher rating. It’s a good coffee, but I favor a more chocolately style
Was okay, but not my favorite.
I like this coffee! It’s smooth and not at all bitter or burnt. Lively seems like a good description. I get lime notes from this. I personally would like it a little better with a little less of the limey taste, but it’s a good coffee.
Some nice fruity/citrus flavors in the espresso, makes a comfortable cappuccino.
bitter- very strong (but pleasantly so)
Delicious. Good brightness and still round.
Brewed using an Aeropress, I enjoyed the lively and fresh notes from this coffee. It has a decent level of acidity but it is not too overwhelming. Essentially no cocoa notes come through at all but it has a light toffee finish. Recommended to those who don't mind a citrus tang and want to avoid a chocolate brew.
Hunter and Rachel
The flavors were a little to fruity
This was good as espresso in a latte, or in a white mocha. I would like to try something with more chocolate or nutty notes though, less fruity notes.
Flavor was too mild, almost not noticeable when adding milk and sugar
Great taste very nice choice
Not very strong lacked body.
Great coffee. Very vibrant and fresh!
This coffee has a thin, highly acidic flavor. I won't make another batch of this one.
I liked this coffee, however it was slightly too sour due to the melon taste.
The flavor is good! It tastes a little light, but that's not a big deal.
Delicious as a French Press. It tastes fruity and almost juicy. Low acidity and caramel scents make this a great cup of coffee.
Very sour. I now know I don’t like melon ginger or lively;)
Really nice, surprisingly light and woody roast, with some hints of sweetness
Tasted a little light in flavor almost watery even with a 15 to 1 ratio of water to grinds.
nothing great, not robust enough
I liked the lively flavor. I’d love to try something just a touch sweeter.
Excellent description of flavor profile--exactly as advertised. Using Synesso 20g basket, 21.5 grams in/36 grams out in 27 seconds. Light in body and gets a bit lost in more than 4-5 oz milk. Will try suggested parameters (17g/42g/28s) and experiment a bit more. I'm good for about a week of this kind of espresso before moving back to more bodied blends.
This was sent in error. This is a coffee created for espresso machines, which I do not have and which I told Mistobox I did not want on my questionnaire. I love espresso, when made right. This coffee is terrible in a drip machine or french press, I have tried. It's a shame this will go to waste.
It was quite bitter tasting. I tried it in a French Press and a traditional drop coffee maker. Still didn't really care for this one.
It’s bright and low in acidity, it could be better if it had more depth/flavor.
Coffee was on the bitter side and was not a fan of the taste profile. definitely reminds me of a cantaloupe which I am not a fan of
It was smooth but too mild of a flavor. Did not stand up well with milk.
Really good! Medium body. Fruitiness wasn't too extreme. Good balance. Smooth. Good amount of foam. Had some toffee like flavor to balance out the lime taste. Overall, really good.
Espresso was way too sour on my breville infuser, despite ~30+ second extraction times and trying different ratios.
Didn’t like the melon, line flavors
Love the flavor
Smooth and slightly sweet. Came out perfectly in an espresso maker.
The crema is terrific. Tastes really good, not too strong and easy to drink.
I like darker roasts better.
Very different. Had not tasted a coffee like this before. I did get used to it and enjoyed it. Not a favorite.
I like how I was able to drink it with barely any creamer since it was so smooth.
Smooth and tasty. Light and powerful at the same time. I don't know if it's the recent roasting or simply the beans, but this product makes a delicious espresso.
This is perfectly fine coffee if these are tastes you like. I was given Misto as a gift. I don't really understand their curation process, suspect it is some software algorithm. Anyway they sent me a coffee that clearly did not match my tastes. So no reason to be critical of a coffee if its description is clearly outside of one's taste preference. To me the flaw is with Misto.
Smooth and flavorful
Clean, tasty and light, but not much of a fruity taste (to me).
This coffee if too fruity for me.
Great flavor and slightly bright. Low acidity
Nice Strong Coffee
I really liked this coffee although I think I would need some training to be able to spot the melon/ginger tastes. I made mostly coffee with it but also made an excellent espresso. Grinded as fine as my machine would allow (Jura A1).
This was ok, more acidic than I was expecting, but tasted fine. I didn't really taste the melon or ginger.
This is the first coffee that I've ever had that I preferred without milk! Very interesting. Something similar (or similarly interesting at least) with more body would be awesome.
Very smooth and mild.
little on the lighter side
I find the description 'lively' to be rather entertaining because it was everything but. We found the coffee to be as bland as your standard cup of Folger's. The smell was wonderful and the base flavor had such possibilities, but then it whimpered and died when it hit my tongue.
Too shallow for my taste; had a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste. Flavor seemed weak overall; similar to a store-bought can of preground espresso.
too light/sour, one-note
Rich flavor, great pour over.
I really enjoy drinking this coffee. I have made it using both my aeropress and espresso machine and have liked both methods. With the aeropress I liked the brightness of flavors president and the espresso mixed well with milk for a light and enjoyable cup of coffee.
I still can't dial in my machine with this coffee. I get 18g in and 35g out in 28 sec but it still comes out sour and acidic. I am still playing with it but, as much as I like flavor variety of lighter roasts, this one might be a bit too light for my barista skills to pull off.
tasted great, some of the better espresso i've had so far
Not our cup of tea (pun intended)
Not bad for pour over, but terribly sour for espresso.
Good, but I'm only on my 3rd morning sipping it and I wonder how much staying power it can have or if I will tire of it quickly. It can be a little tangy, but since I'm used to drinking a lot of flavorless coffee, it's neat to be able to taste interesting flavors immediately. Looking forward to revisiting this after I've had many other samples to see how it compares.
More details: I have been brewing this with an OXO 9 cup automatic brewer for drip coffee. Today I used my Breville espresso maker. It was very good! I think it indeed makes a better espresso than drip as it is labeled. I still need to adjust the espresso grinder a bit, as the shots are a little over extracted but I've still enjoyed them!
The coffee smells good and has a great texture. But it is way too bitter for me.
Slightly tangy flavour profile (likely to be lime?)
Slight fruit but can't tell that it's melon
Not identifying sweet/toffee flavours
The beans were super fresh and smelled great BUT all the shots I've been pulling end on the acidic side of the fence. Definitely taste the Melon / Lime flavor, but that's not usually what I personally go for.
We liked it! Well balanced and, despite reservations based on tasting notes, not too acidic.
Lively indeed. And deep citrus feel. Very much enjoying this bean. Feel like it only get better.
Day 3 brewing update - very tangy, like the feel but don't know how sustainable this flavor would be
One of us loved it. The other was more indifferent. It was high quality but our issue may be more with our preparation method.
I was very nice in a cappuchino - felt strong but could have been a little bolder. Felt light and not good as a latte (which my wife drinks) - I should have guessed from the name.
Pretty Decent - A good brew to start the ISS coffee adventure.
A bit too bright and acidic for espresso. Could be more developed - sweeter and deeper.
It was fine, I wasn’t able to pick up too many of the melon notes. I think I was expecting something more fruity? Not that I didn’t like it, it’s just not quite what I was expecting. I feel like it would’ve gone good with some chocolate flavor in there or caramel, something to make it a little richer than it was at current.
Presented as a little weak in strength. Prefer chocolate and caramel tones vs. fruity.
a bit sour, not as strong coffee flavor
Coffee tastes great, also love the sustainable pack. I thought the brewing instructions on the back seemed a bit off. Made it once as directed and then adjusted for something stronger. Great first pick!
It was okay, but more tangy than I liked.
It drinks smooth. I think I’m wanting to move from the light medium to a slightly darker roast coffee.
Really nice - no complaints
I like this for what it is but I think I prefer a little darker coffee
Pretty yummy. I don't have an espresso maker, so I just ground and brewed the coffee normally, so I'm sure I'm missing out on some of its goodness, but still good!
It was a little lighter than I think we liked but was certainly lively and bright.
Reminds me a little of dogwood coffees. Slightly more acidic than I like but enjoyed the flavors described here as ginger and lively.
I really didn't like this in my niche zero grinder, but after running it through my flat burr grinder it really brought out all fruity notes
Not a fan of this particular blend. It left an odd aftertaste that did not seem to resemble any of the listed tasting notes.
Good, but somewhat disappointing
Decent flavor but too tart/tangy for my preference.
Lemon was very forward and had a sour taste despite trying many settings on my Breville Express. Tried to add milk and use as a latte but had to add a lot of sweetener to get rid of acidity. I don’t think I like strong citrus forward. If someone else has this more dialed in with grind and dial settings, please share. Using grind 4 with dial at 3o’clock. That has gotten me the best extraction thus far.
almost tasted burnt - didn't really love this
Fresh, but a bit too sour for me
I got used to it, but the lime flavor caught me off guard. This is not a coffee that will mix well with any sugar or cream, but after the initial shock is good just as is.
Good coffee, didn’t knock my socks off
A very nice coffee. Maybe a bit heavy on the fruit notes for me but just as a matter of personal taste.
I liked it more for iced coffee where the flavors popped out more in the milk and sweetener as opposed to drinking it black where it was a little too fruit-forward. My husband said he prefers coffee with more notes of vanilla and caramel in his iced coffee.
Really good cup of espresso. Bright fruity flavors and has consistent body. My favorite of the more fruit forward espresso's I have tried from mistobox
we switched to a higher end machine half way through this one so i think it may have been even higher, we were just dialing in the new one
Too sweet and lacking in body.
A little to overdeveloped leading to ashy roasty finishing notes
Bright, fruity, well balanced.
Absolutely loved. Light and fruity will definitely order this espresso again.
Not meant to be made with an espresso machine and am very disappointed with Mistobox for sending me this and wasting a bag of beans because this is trash unless you plan to use another method.
My favorite espresso so far, I feel like you never see Sulawesi in espresso, super good.
Coffee was okay for me, but wife did not like it. I detected the melon notes, but also some unpleasant bitterness at the end. Wife has no idea what she likes, but that she liked the previous one better.
Perfect, balanced coffee taste! Exactly what you'd want from a bold morning brew!
