This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
The Ethiopia Guji Shakisu was carefully roasted for you by Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters. Grown by the Guracho Wet Mill in the Guji Zone, Karcha District region at 1,900 - 2,100 meters, this fully washed coffee is a perfect example of why we love coffees from Ethiopia. The cup is bright, syrupy, fruity and floral.
I have again failed to review the coffee until I have been out of it for a few days and moved onto another coffee.
A wonderful bright cup. Delicious.
Loved the brightness and fruity notes! The aroma was enjoyable. This coffee was very aligned with my tastes.
Liked this coffee a lot more. Good acidity balanced by a juicy body. Perfectly roasted. And I really liked the color of the beans though I'd be open to trying beans of a lighter shade; not much darker though.
I loved this coffee. Very light, fruity, and super easy to get a consistent, flavorful extraction over and over again.
A classic Ethiopian selection from the Evans Brothers that melts in your mouth and lingers on your tongue with a full body and complete mouthfeel. This coffee is smooth, syrupy and leaves you wanting more every time you drink a cup. This is a perfect afternoon coffee to give you an extra shot of energy if you're feeling down. This coffee is the equivalent of your favorite comfort food, it always hits you in just the right spot and gives you what you need every time you brew a cup.
A delightful representation of a Yirgacheffe(it is a Yirg, right? I already threw the bag away). I really enjoyed this one.
Mellow, sweet, good.
Very nice melon sweetness, and lemon notes and acidity, but not super bright. Very clean cup.
Haven't quite sorted this one out. Brewing on the Chemex and might try Aeropress too just for some variety. I was expecting a bit more from this Guji but I haven't been able to pick up any floral notes (one of my favorites in coffee).
This coffee was lighter than others, but it still was full flavored. Easily one of the best I've ever had.
It trends almost to too syrupy/fruity but overall is a very high quality brew.
Wow! I love this. So much flavor. AND when it gets cold I keep drinking. Haha. Still working on identifying things on my palette but this is great.
Our favorite coffee so far!! The perfect morning cup: it's light but vibrant, with a smoothness that is perfect both with and without milk and sugar.
I enjoyed the fruity tasting notes! Tastes great as a V60.
I wasnt a huge fan of this one. Despite its profile I actually didnt feel this one was all that fruity. Nothing really stood out though it was balanced. Nothing bad, but nothing to right home about either.
Enjoying this one quite a bit and would enjoy trying other beans from these guys. Bright is the best word for it.
fruity without the bitterness of the sumatra. This is great!
Standard Ethiopian, nothing blew me away but it was a good cup. Preferred this with pour over method.
i really enjoyed this roast. at first i was't super impressed by its aroma (smelled a bit sour) but I found the taste to quite pleasant. nice fruitiness
I did not enjoy this
Nice brightness and acidity, with a little juicy sweetness.
Nice balance, good.
This coffee is really exciting. Excellent clarity and balance. A little heavier bodied than you expect from a washed Ethiopia, and it's very welcome. Sweet, complex and dynamic.
Great coffee. Light, fruity, great way to start the morning. The first few brews, I used the Chemex and getting more out of the smell of the coffee than in the taste, but once I gave it a try in the aeropress, it brought out the flavors that I was missing. Definitely enjoyed this cup.
I had enjoyed the smell of this wonderful coffee before I tasted it. Syrupy, fruity and floral.
Fruity flavor with medium to low acidity. Brewed with semi automatic espresso machine. Good depth for espresso shot.
