This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Coava Coffee Roasters will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
This is the Ethiopia Meaza brought to you by Coava Coffee Roasters. Grown by the Kochere Cooperative 1,800-2,100 meters, this Fully Washed coffee is a perfect example of why we love coffees from Ethiopia. In the cup, look for notes of candied citrus, honeydew, and hibiscus tea.
This is a very straight down the middle coffee. Nothing wrong with it...would be great in a restaurant since I can't imagine it really offending anyone. It also doesn't have anything about it to make it really exceptional. A slight smokiness in the undertones (more medium roast than light roast) and some floral/citrus-like notes on the top. But, nothing that really stands out or grabs your attention.
Roasted a bit too dark for my tastes
A slight smokiness, perhaps a little earthiness, but floral and bright over top
This coffee kind of grew on me. Generally I prefer lighter roasts but this one seemed a little flavorless at first. It did grow on me but the flavors are definitely on the delicate side. Had to brew it very strong to get it to my liking
This was our favorite coffee we have tried through our subscription. We would love to try any others with a similar profile if you have anything available for the next shipment. Also, is it possible to order more of this coffee or is it only available through the subscription? Thanks and have a great day!
The description notes are spot on. It’s different from what my preferences are but it’s refreshing to taste something different from what I’m used to.
good coffee, subtle melon flavor. mild bitterness, quite acidic, little earthy
Even better than our first shipment from Temple.
Nice balance and complexity with a little bit of a tangy finish, which is nice. Slightly dark for our taste, but nevertheless rich and flavorful and all-around a good cup of coffee.
I really didn't like the smell of the coffee. It didn't even really smell like coffee to me, and when I brewed it the coffee was really acidic. It is okay with milk, but defiantly not my preferred coffee.
really liked the taste. Not too bitter
Very good cup of coffee! Love the chocolate color, no bitterness, and super smooth. You can taste the fruity notes. However, during the winter, I would probably prefer less fruity and more seasonal flavors like spice, hazelnut, chocolate, etc.
I enjoyed the first mild flavor taste but not the sharpness of the citrus as it hit my tongue.
I stated a preference for a dark roast. You sent a candied, citrus, honeydew and hibiscus tea. I would never pick any of those, much less the combo. Hopefully the next bag will be a better fit.
Very bright, I liked it. Curious to try a darker roast next
Great coffee. Super juicy and floral, just what I want from an Ethiopian. It has this really nice passion fruit thing going on (the honeydew is also notable) but with no sourness. I only wish that it was organic.
The coffee was a little light and mild for our taste. We'd love to try something a little heavier, with fruity (but not citrusy) notes. Blackberry/cherry tends to be our sweet spot.
Great! Bright and floral
The tea flavor was a nice change pace just not sure I would want it often
Good coffee but a little bit too acidic for me
Orange & pineapple with toasted cocoa finish
Really liked this one. I liked the tea notes.
Flavor too subtle, felt unusually caffeinated but maybe that's my imagination
one of my favorite coffees that i've had
Not as punchy as I expect an Ethiopian to be.
Too acidic. Not my favorite.
Has a really pleasant aroma and floral/herbal forward taste that mellows on your tongue into more citrus and fruit notes. I don't really find the honeydew in there but it's really pleasant either way
Surprisingly delicious. After my first Ethiopian had had very low expectations. This has raised the bar.
Did not like this coffee. The tea flavor was too strong for us.
Too acidic I think? We received two bags of these beans and they both smelled off. Prefer not to receive any more from this roaster.
