I could not find a combination that eliminated the bitter taste
This coffee tastes like it has a well-rounded and smooth quality, but is a bit sour for my preference.
Taste is a little bland. Decent for a medium roast
i like equator - my cafe a prev employer in ssf serves equator. i prefer a different flavor profile though and typically don't choose chocolate nutty notes. equator is a good roaster and this would've been a good selection if i liked that flavor profile.
Really enjoyed this coffee.. almost as much our first coffee order we received. It was very rich but not overpowering.
This is by far my favorite, it's super smooth and has a great balance of flavors. This gives me that very refreshing feeling every time I drink it, it makes you want to go "ahhh..." after every sip. Great for winter.
This coffee was so-so: went fine with breakfast but was not something I quite savored.
I liked this coffee a lot
A nice and smooth cup of coffee. Very easy to drink, sweet and round. When brewed with Aeropress/metal filter there was nothing in the way of acidity or bitterness, but also not much complexity. Nice and round with flavors like chocolate, nuts, and milk. With chemex it was more acidic and a bit unbalanced to my taste.
It was a great roast. We enjoyed the flavor of this coffee so much. We used the pour over method, French press, and espresso. Each brought out something a little different in the coffee.
A rich, earthy cup of coffee that has chocolaty and nutty aromas and lingering bitter taste. I would recommend a pour-over brew style for a nice balanced cup. The french press brought out a lot of its complexity, but they all flavors ended up competing with each other and made it less enjoyable to me.
This is excellent! I love it from my French press, Aeropress, and V60. Full bodied chocolate and nut flavors with a great mouth feel. If this is a limited batch, then I want more before it runs out.
A delightful cup that is bright and rich. I enjoyed the caramel undertones on the aftertaste. It fell short of 5 stars as I prefer my coffee to be a little smoother. Overall very good though.
Probably 3.5 stars. Love the aroma. Nice earthy, chocolate notes, definitely smooth. Less bite/robust flavor and full mouth feel than I would love. All around a very easy to drink, enjoyable cup.I have been preparing as a pour over with med-fine grinds.

Nicely mellow. Easy to drink and seemed to have relatively low acidity.
Best coffe ever. I loved the medium roast. It was SO fresh! What a difference. I loved the Carmel finish. For once I look forward to getting up in the morning.
Great aftertaste, but didn't pair well with breakfast.
Smooth and mellow. Hints of nutmeg. Chocolate in forefront.
This is a great everyday coffee. Very smooth with some subtle flavors and it almost tasted like it had cream in it. It was a bit better in a drip coffee maker than a french press but it was good regardless.
Love the chocolatey dominance this one has. Personally, though, I do love a bag with more fruity notes than earthy notes.
Nice smooth coffee but a little blend for my taste.
Good = balanced dark roast (which is hard to do well). Good caramel finishes.Bad = wanted more flavor out of it. Because I'f how dark, flavor volume was lower.
Great coffee with a chocolatey aroma and taste that I loved. Seriously one of the best coffees I've had.
Very rich flavor, smooth and full-bodied.
Pretty solid cup. Almost too balanced; I like a bit of complexity.
First off been having problems with my hario mini mill grinder giving me a really inconsistent grind sizes so first cups were not as good as recently. Really like the coffee i can almost taste the chocolaty flavors.
Definitely in the ballpark of my general coffee preferences. I like that the flavor is complex and layered without being as acidic or as floral as some lighter roasts can be. Love how creamy/milky the taste is. Would love to try some similar coffees that dip into more fruity flavor without losing the balance that medium roasts seem to have.
This coffee smelled amazing when I opened the bag. I think I preferred the taste of the Mocha Java Blend in the sample box, but this one was nicely acidic. I would have liked it to have a little more body though, it wasn't quite smooth enough.
a bit too weak for my taste and also somewhat bitter.
It was good. I think it could have been a little smoother and I would like it more.
It is okay. I can definitely taste the chocolate notes listed, but the roasted effort hits more robustly. It at first tastes like I am drinking burnt BBQ bits, which are declious, but I would prefer it to be less pronounced initially. It would be more my speed if it was the mocha notes first and then burnt bits.I wish it had a better mouth feel. I love when I'm drinking coffee and it feels velvety in my mouth. Like a chocolate milk feel. I thought the fact that I put whole milk in my coffee would help that effect with this brew, but it did not.
This coffee seems particularly well suited to pour-over, producing a balanced cup consistently. The notes of nutmeg come through particularly in this way, which is much appreciated!
Very nice for lattes. Needs no extra flavors.
This coffee is delicious, but I like a little stronger. It is delicious on its own, but when you eat it with eggs, it turns into this delicious treat where you can really taste the caramel, chocolate, and nutmeg notes.
A very smooth cup of coffee. Acidity is perfect but the flavor is a bit too subtle.
The body on this coffee as espresso is outrageous. Super velvety and creamy, with notes of chocolate covered cherries and toffee. It is not as bright/acidic as some coffees that I am used to and tend to gravitate towards, but it is a pleasant departure from the routine. I'm very pleased with this pick so far!
I had my first french press coffee with these beans yesterday. I used 25g of beans with 400g of water. The coffee had a smooth taste and i did taste a little of the chocolate and nutmeg notes in the coffee. However, this coffee was similar to the 8 o'clock columbia peaks coffee. It didn't really WOW me but it also didn't disappoint me. I will have another cup of coffee this morning and see if I have anymore feedback.
Liked it better than the Colombia tolima anodyne but still didn't make much of an impact.
Nice, powerful. Smells great out of the grinder. Maybe a touch wine-y for my taste. I get the nutmeg for sure, less of the cocoa. Maybe not as much of a caffeine kick as I like? Hard to say, but after 2 cups I usually feel more of a buzz :-). Good stuff tho - enjoying it.
well balanced, with a nice tart finish
This was more up my alley as it was somewhat more into the chocolate/caramel/earth/spice territory than the fruity/floral/citrus. It has elements of both, as espresso I noticed a bit of earthiness, chocolate, and nuttiness but also some fruity undertones that came out more and more the less hot the coffee became. It made a solid latte/cappuccino, however I found that as it cooled it would become very sour. I enjoyed it as traditional coffee (aeropress, french press, hario pourover), although it was maybe still a bit on the fruity side for my taste especially if you let it cool too much before drinking it. I found that I enjoyed it in the first hour or so of work as it would cool to the perfect temperature during my commute, however a couple hours into the day it would cool and become sour and citrusy and whatever wasn't finished would end up just getting dumped. Overall, not bad.
Our favorite!! Oh! So yummy! No bitter aftertaste at all. So, so good!
Excellent rich complex flavor. I really enjoyed this one, another new favorite for sure
Ok, but a bit on the bland, understated side.
Great mellow flavors. Strong hints of chocolate/caramel
Wonderful taste. Rich and smooth. Love, love this coffee.
