This is the Costa Rica Marvin Rodriguez brought to you by Tandem Coffee Roasters. This honey processed coffee was sourced from the growing region of West Valley in Costa Rica and was produced by Marvin Rodriguez at 1,650 meters. We love the delicate balance between chocolate and caramel sweetness of this coffee and the bright, nectarine fruit qualities.
Really was a good coffee, but for whatever reason it fell a little flat.
Absolutely brilliant complexity and flavor. The honey processing is incredible. Such a sweet after taste.
I like the almost sharp sweetness of the finish (looks like bright is the word you all use)
Cocoa flavors are very pronounced. Really solid flavor. Not overly complex. The bright notes didn't stand out as much to me on this first cup. Maybe on the next brew. Great coffee tough. 3 stars instead of 4 because it didn't live up 100% to the description on this first taste.
I wasnt so impressed with one. I feel the flavor was a bit lacking. It had some minor fruity qualities but wasnt very complex. I would say it is a bit on the sweeter side but mostly one note of flavor throughout.
Really weak coffee.
Loved this as an espresso
This was my first experience with a honey processed coffee and, I must say, I was impressed. The coffee was clean like a washed process, but also retained a great amount of juiciness in the cup. I brewed it on the Hario V60 01 and the Kalita Wave. I preferred the V60; I felt the coffee was best when it was most cleanly presented. But even with the V60, the honey processed retained a wonderful juiciness. I recognized the fruit notes more easily than the chocolate notes, but the chocolate came through as the cup cooled. Overall, I really enjoyed this honey processed coffee and I hope to see more honey processed coffees come my way in the future!
