The Monkey Bite Espresso was blended and roasted for you by Bird Rock Coffee Roasters. Named for the harrowing monkey attack that Bird Rock's founder Chuck suffered through in Kenya, this espresso is a top seller at their cafes. This seasonal blend is carefully crafted and tested to be pulled as delicious straight espresso while it also works well in a traditional milk-based drink like a cortado. Works great as a brewed cup of coffee as well!

It was okay. Just a little boring

Tasted good but a more of a medium espresso. No complaints, just a little on the light side, just a little. Flavor good, mild, coffee taste.

Great espresso. I didn't think that the dried fruit would appeal to me since it is out of my usual but it added great flavor on this one.

It was good. Never felt like I got it dialed in, but I did like it. Was very good for milk drinks (which are not usually my thing).

Extremely bitter. Caramel and toffee flavor. This is designed to stand up in milk drinks, but I would prefer an all around espresso instead.

This is a delicious coffee, but it has a slight acidic finish that we don't prefer. It is full bodied and makes a great drip cup.

Significantly disappointed. And repeatedly disappointed with mistobox. Several anticipated bags have either been sold out or not available and this team does not support customers to suggest or find like bags to replace. Hate the monkey bite. Waste of my monthly $ to this service.

Not the coffee for us. Way too light, and had an acidic flavor that was there no matter which method we used( espresso, French press, pour over, drip , areopress,etc…)

These beans were amazing. They weren't bitter, and when I made my morning latte the taste was perfectly balanced.

I like it. You definitely get the sweet undertones. I also like the little bit of tang. I would buy it again.

A bit light, but great brew. I’d prefer a coffee with more fragrance and a bit darker roast.

I felt like this was a nice everyday bean for my morning cortado. Not too complex, notes of sugar and chocolate, great with milk. Very enjoyable. Could definitely drink this every day.

Very interesting. 18 grams in, 37 grams out yielded a syrupy bodied and rich cup then 18 grams in 44 grams out released the dried fruit, almost candied orange flavor. I'm more into traditional espresso these days but this one was good!

Actually get a lot of yeast and dough, but I don't hate it. Other than than, a bit of chocolate. Makes for a warm and full coffee.
Brewed in the Ratio 8 coffee maker. 55g beans, medium grind (24/40 - Baratza Encore). 1.2L of water.

Very strong to me. Did taste the brown sugar notes just a bit but didn’t taste any hints of fruit at all. I made both pour over and french press and it was just extremely strong to me. A bit bitter. Not smooth at all.

First shot gave me a bright, clean acidity. The ones later were nutty. Although not spectacular as an espresso (not bad), this makes for a thoroughly enjoyable milk drink.

Didn’t seem to brew robustly - came out more watery than most. Had a little bitter, grainy taste. Couldn’t taste berries or brown sugar hints advertised. Not awful, just not great.
