The Nicaragua Penas Blancas was carefully roasted for you by Bixby Roasting Co. This Fully Washed coffee was produced 1,200 meters above sea level by La Dalia in the highlands of the Penas Blancas mountain range in Nicaragua.
Not as bold flavors as desired. The profile was different than typical, which I appreciated.
Dark, a really coffee tasting coffee, heavy mouthfeel (which I really like). Not acidic.
French Press - stir and 5 minute brew. Sugar in the Raw and a splash of heavy cream.
Didn't link the sourness, the previous ones were great specially Alma Coffee - Enchanted
Excellent flavor, hints of chocolate
Love the blend!
Dark but good. Can still taste the flavors coming through.
This was too bitter and dark for my taste. I'm working on making adjustments to my brewing process to make this coffee better.
Really got the almond in it, beautiful cup every time!
Favorite one so far
loved the taste and it was such a bold flavor
Not much flavor. Packaging better than the coffee.
Just okay. Not special; decent.
Very smooth with bolder flavour and a bright finish. I liked it a lot!
Nice blend of nutty and chocolate tastes
Too much caffeine in this one
This was okay.
Acrid, no fullness or round mouth feel. No depth.
Extremely bland. Not a dark roast at all. No different than Folgers or Maxwell House.
good but a little too bitter for my taste
This didn't have a lot of flavor
Sweet and murky, did not like.
This coffee was a great full bodied and rich taste. The coffee had deep oblate and nut taste (i did not taste almond itself just nuts).
Smooth and full-bodied--nice hefty cup, but taste wasn't the best.
Really enjoyed this, especially as a nice change from french roasts
Nice morning coffee but not too overwhelming. Definitely can tase the chocolate undertones. Smooth taste.
Very clean taste. Great acidity.
Had a strange flavor to it.
This one was difficult to tell: I might have been having idiosyncratic issues: I had to grind this ridiculously fine (four notches more than usual) to get it to brew correctly, and never did before the bag was used up. Strange. I always got an under extracted pull. With a new bag of something else, the shots went quickly back to normal which would indicate it was the beans, not the barista. Would not risk again.
Good flavor. A little lighter than expected but delicious nonetheless.
Tastes burnt to me. Not a favorite.
Overpowered my creamer and was a little too bold for me.
Really smooth for a dark coffee. Hubby loved it!
Loved it & the best!
One of the best coffees we’ve been sent. All the stars!
Maybe a little too dark.
Definitely OK. Very solid coffee but not my favorite of some of the options I've had. The body is good, but tends a bit nutty for my tastes.
The beans tasted a bit burnt, so not only were the notes bold, but also a tad bitter
I really like this coffee. I am a huge fan of chocolate and almond, and you can definitely pick up both. It's a smooth and warm cup of coffee. Add a little cream and it's great! Low acidity, deep flavor, great.
This is a nice everyday coffee. A bit too nutty in flavor.
Turned out to be a bit bitter the first time I brewed it (with my standard settings), and finally got it right, but it was still a not the smoothest - hot or cold.
A delicious coffee with a great finish.
Very poor tasting coffee. Didn’t brew well for espresso or pot.
Ok not as flavorful as I expected based on aroma.
Loved this coffee
Smells incredible. Dark and delicious.
Really good cup, smooth and full bodied. Chocolate and almond makes it very flavorful
not my favorite - has some bitter / harsh notes to it
Excellent single source coffee. Smooth chocolate, slightly bright with dark cherry notes.
very good - not best
Strong, Bold, & Delicious. You want to drink this when it is hot - the flavor changes dramatically if you let it get to luke warm or room temp.
Love the deep, rich notes of chocolate and the beautiful aroma this coffee brings.
We love this coffee! It was amazing in the French press! BIG fan!
This is excellent as an espresso. The Saeco needs to be set 1 setting above normal - at #4.
