This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Kaldi's Coffee Roasting Co. will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
The Cafe Kaldi was carefully roasted for you by Kaldi's Coffee Roasting Co. A blend of African and Latin American beans, the resulting cup is a perfectly balanced cup of coffee. This coffee is rich and comforting with notes of chocolate and caramel.
Lots of caramel. Great body and very good coffee. Would get again.
Brewed in Wilfa Precision coffee maker. 45g beans, medium fine grind, 1L of water.
Would buy again, I agreed with the description that this was very balanced, sweet notes but not too sweet.
Didn't really care for this one
Really smooth taste and good flavor!
Overall pretty good. I think I'd like something a little more bitter to try next. with a little more body.
I have enjoyed everything I have received from Kaldi thus far. It's subtle hints of chocolate & caramel are a nice start to the day without too much bitterness.
I would order this again
Not my favorite. Had a bitter taste I did not like.
Hints of chocolate and caramel make this interesting and rewardjng
Good! Tiny bit acidic but great otherwise
This was good. Not quite as good as the next one was.
Acceptable but not special
Rich smell, smooth and strong/bold flavor, low acidity
Really smooth feel with balanced flavor. Doesn't go too far in any direction. Safe in a good way.
Kaldi makes for an absolutely incredible Cold Brew. This brew has a very strong and distinct flavor. Average French Press. Great for pour-over. Very bitter aero press.
I like the smoothness of this blend, however it was a little too dark/bitter for me. Very chocolatey!
A little too dark for me
I really liked the balance with hints of chocolate but not over roasted.
Small fruitier notes when drunk black. After I added a splash of heavy cream the flavor was dispersed evenly and was a smooth drink. I enjoyed - although I think I might like something that trends darker in roast more.
I thought this one was a bit bland, kind of lifeless. but then again I might not have brewed it long enough or too much. I couldn't taste much of the flavors in it, but it smelled amazing when it was brewed.
A bit too chocolaty for my tastes
This one was definitely better than the Honduras from Mela, but still isn’t what I’m looking for and in a morning cup of coffee. Didn’t really seem to have enough flavor or I had a lot of trouble picking it up.
This coffee was very good and tasty!! Very low biterness and was very smooth! Very nice roast!!
Bold coffee, seems to not have a ton of flavor.
Nick and Sarah
Loved this one, favorite so far.
It has a superb coffee flavor without being bitter.
This coffee was awful. It was highly acidic and lacked flavor. I have had a more flavorful cup of Folgers. On the three times I have tried to drink and his coffee, I suffered from acid indigestion for the rest of the day. Definitely not worth the money.
Pretty bland overall. Flavor notes did not come through despite multiple methods of brewing.
Didn't have distinct taste.
medium with sweet after taste
Not as smooth as I would have liked and a little on the bitter side. But it was still much better than other store bought brands. If I added half & half, it had a smoother taste and less bitter,
I enjoyed this coffee, perhaps I need a darker blend?
Very tasty. Smooth and no bitterness. I liked it better than the first shipment.
It was fresh roasted, but it was not my favorite. The flavor just didn't hit with me.
Not bad, average at best
really liking this one! rich and balanced.
Hands down- it was absolutely delicious! I have already tried multiple ways: Chemex & V60. I tasted it as a single bean, mixed it with homemade cashew+MCT Oil creamer, and plan to even do it black iced. The deeper notes of chocolate are exactly what my palate was craving: )
This is a winner! Personally, the flavor isn't highly dynamic, but that's okay because it seems to be well balanced. I would agree with the tasting notes that this coffee tastes "comforting".
This coffee is nicely rich, while still being smooth. I like this one to start my day. After just a couple mornings, this roast felt like a morning comfort before a busy day.
Compared to the other coffees, this one just seemed Ok to me. The flavor didn't taste as complex, at least as an Americano. I tried it as an espresso and it was good, but more of a single flavor versus a lot of flavors mixed together. It might be that the roast was a little darker?
This is one of my favorite coffees. Roasted just right for my taste, good flavor.

A little bland
Finding the ratios was difficult; first cup I make is always using recommended grams and water temp. I found it to be a bit bitter at times, which I don't necessarily mind. However, it took a while for me to find a gram to water ratio that produced that coveted perfect cup. Once I did, it was pretty good. Aroma was definitely the most pleasant yet, with lots of chocolate notes. Didn't stay well in the thermos however, which was sad, so I brewed this usually in the morning before I left for work and right when I got home.
I enjoyed this coffee but it’s a little weak for my taste
I do like a more robust flavor, but this was a good one. The notes are good just the right amount of flavors and pairs well with Chocolate or Caramel creamer.
Tasted just like normal coffee you'd get at a grocery store... I didn't pick up on any chocolate or caramel notes. I preferred this one brewed in my French press over the Chemex.
It is so good!
More caramel note and not so much chocolate. Maybe a little more earthy than I prefer but good richness. Could probably let go bolder.
Just okay flavors, a little bit of a bitter aftertaste
Liked this but it seemed less bold then the Milwaukee Rockstar and I'm not connoisseur by any means so don't know terminology but the Rockstar was amazing! I'm not a fan of caramel so maybe thats the part I disliked in this but I still like the roast.
Rachel and Michael
Seemed a little bland.
It tasted like my favorite restaurant's coffee. Any change would be maybe to have a little bit of chocolate taste or smell? I love that!
This one was not as great as the last one from kickapoo. After trying it multiple times...really do not like it. The first was soooooo much better.
Smells great - but the taste leaves a lot to be desired, especially when drinking black. Kind of dreading the fact that I've already got a full carafe of cold-brew I've got to work through.
This is lovely. The nose is earthy with notes of hot chocolate. The flavor is robust without being overcooked resulting in a soft mouth feel. Notes of orange peel accent the sip, giving a pleasant contrast to the overall softness. Medium length finish is quite dry, resulting in a quickly emptied mug.
Stephen & Katherine
Not so great, it just kind of tastes like a passable cup of coffee with no real flavor hints or body.
Strange stuff! Initially it has good bold flavor but then it gives way to an odd metallic acidy finish. It's a weird melange of flavors . . . Chocolate? not really. . . Caramel? barely.
A few minutes after drinking I still have that acidy flavor in my mouth.
Strange stuff! Initially it has good bold flavor but then it gives way to an odd metallic acidy finish. It's a weird melange of flavors.
Maybe I do prefer single source over blends after all... this isn’t bad, it just wasn’t as clean or pure of a taste to me. If it’s helpfu two of my favorites are “Nziza” and “Kira” from Land of a Thousand Hills: https://shop.landofathousandhills.com/collections/coffee/products/single-origin-nziza?_ga=2.35995744.1900013308.1547418399-1783525898.1514302405
Really like this one. Seemed smoother than the last one. I was sick while drinking this brew so I can’t point a specific flavor but over all good.
I enjoyed this coffee but I'd still like something a little richer. This one seemed to have a acidic aftertaste to me. It wasn't bad but I'd prefer something a bit smoother and richer. But I did like it better than the Kickapoo.
It has a very bold flavor. I taste carmel and chocolate. There are also some burnt flavors - brown roast/smoky.
bitter, to me it tastes like folgers coffee. Still ok if I use creamer but isn't very good on it's own.
Neal and Sharon
We liked the first one better. This one smelled a little... sour and tasted kinda sour and bitter. The first one smelled amazing and was tasty but did not quite taste as good as it smelled though that was a high bar. Thanks
Not as smooth as the last coffee. Still we are enjoying it. I evidently do not have a good palatee. I have not been able to detect Carmel or chocolate in either coffee.
Good flavor but not very rich.
I love the way this coffee smells, but I didn't think the taste was as smooth as the Kickapoo. There was more acidity/tangy-ness to the aftertaste as well. Still delicious, but I liked the first coffee better. Sorry I was late reviewing!
Very smokey, chocolatey and rich. Have not enjoyed this as much as Kickapoo Driftless.
I really loved this coffee! By far, this is my favorite so far.
Very good - tastes great, and really love the smell of this blend.
It was alright. Definitely rich. I liked the Phantom Limb blend better.
Good. A bit acidic but not overwhelmingly so.
Awesome cup of coffee. Great pick!

Part of the fun of having a different coffee each month is that you also get to learn more about what you like and what you don't. I'm trying to figure out what exact notes I didn't like with this one. Had a sweet metallic twinge in the middle that lingered long after swallowing.
Really like this one. Nice, easy drink (especially coming off the smokiness of our last one. Not quite as rich in flavor as the MIlwaukee blend we started with, but a step back in the right direction for sure.
Roasted a little too dark. Greasy from being so dark. Overall taste was pretty good, but a little too much smoke and nuttiness for my tastes. I would prefer more of a city roast with more caramel and less smoke.
One of my favorites
Smooth tasting not bitter or acidic. Not as flavorful as I was hoping for.
Loved this one!
This one was a little bitter for our taste.
Chris & Nikki
I liked the first coffee a little better. This one had more of a savory taste that I didn't love. Something with a little more body would also be good. Thank you!!
It was okay, had some good chocolate notes to it, but a slight sour after taste. I also never once got a good bloom from it? Kind of odd.
Really good in an americano.
A little too string
Very well-balanced. Caramel notes were excellent. Tastes great with chemex and drip.
Smooth deep rich flavor. Hints of chocolate come out.
bitter, smoky, def berry
not bad with a little stevia
I thought I smelled chicory when I first opened the bag. Reminded me of being at my grandmother's! Coffee was really good but there was definitely an aftertaste that lingered. It wasn't unpleasant, just different, maybe the caramel. So now I'm thinking I must not like the caramel flavor.
I like this one, but not nearly as much as the Intelligensia. There is a note at the end that I don't much care for, maybe that is the chocolate? Definitely still drinkable, but not my favorite.
Very good. I taste raisin and dried fruit predominantly. A good cup in the morning. Very similar profile to the last blend.
i liked it but next time can i get something a bit bolder. It is very smooth but i'm missing a full bodied feel that the last 2 coffee beans havent had. Thanks!!!
Again very good
Like the deep, chocolatey notes
Good, but not our favorite.
A good coffee but not perfect for me. At one point I thought, "this is a carmel drink." Funny but I'd say it wasn't enough of a coffee taste for me. I did try brewing both weak and very robust but I could never get the perfect cup. Perhaps I'm in person who needs something between medium roast and dark roast.
This was one of my favorite coffees.
I preferred the Kansas City Blend. Again, it may just be because this is a darker roast. (Is it?)
I don't seem to have the pallet to distinguish the flavor notes in the write-ups, such as chocolate and caramel.
This is a coffee I could drink on a daily basis.
Good but would like a bit more flavor. Not a big fan of caramel.
I had had Kaldi before when I visited Kansas City so it was nice to see this old friend again :) And it was nice to know that I could make a marvelous cup of coffee of this at home and it wasn't just the magic of the baristas.
Pretty tasty coffee, enjoyable with cream or without. It is a rich flavor, but I don't get the chocolate and caramel.
I am not particularly liking this one. It might be me but I found it more bitter than the others.
Mellow, soft coffee. Good everyday coffee but didn't make a huge impression on me.
not crazy about this coffee, had about half the bag. Tossed the rest.
Nice aroma, a little on the acidic side, but some very nice fruity aromas.
Has a nice balanced richness. Makes a great espresso and works well in longer drinks.
it was delicious! although I had to use extra as we requested strong coffee but receive mild .. the flavor was excellent ..
This was the best coffee ever!! I loved this one.
OK, but not my favorite. A little too much of a smoky(?) aftertaste for me.
Wow!!!! I really like the flavor of the stuff.
I thought I liked this one, but the last few cups have been disappointing. Something with the flavor has just been off... I can't put my finger on it unfortunately.
Kara + Richie
Quite good, but I’m not sure if it was acidity or too much caffeine, but the flavor was pleasant. Not too chocolateee, but maybe too much of something else I can’t quite place. Overall it’s really good. I would drink it again but it’s not my absolute favorite.
I just added this coffee to my machine's hopper and I'm looking forward to trying it. It looks like a medium roast. Is there a way to have my preference set to medium dark roasts from now on? I think I like that roast the best.
A nice, drinkable blend. The roast was medium, maybe even slightly medium-dark (depending on your preferences). Fairly earthy, but maybe less acidity than I usually prefer.
we preferred our first coffee "green planet organic" and would like to make that our third choice
a bit more tart than earthy, and I think I'm beginning to prefer earthy. definitely rich and maybe I like more on the lighter side.
super acidic. :/ not a very fun cup to drink
I liked this one. Good flavor and balanced. Brewed with Aeropress.
I was sad when this was gone. it was rich and delicious any time of day.
Okay tasting, a bit too light, not nutty enough
My favorite so far. Perfectly balanced, flavor is not overpowering, very smooth
Too bitter and sour
One of the best received so far
Nothing very special stood out about this one. Pretty bland. I’ve tried different Kaldi’s types that were much better.
Tasted weak and was too light
Really enjoyed this one. It was rich but not overly rich. I found it to be a perfect coffee for my afternoons, post-lunch!
This roast had the perfect balance of flavors!
The best so far!
Excellent rich flavor, really great iced!
My favorite coffee so far! It was rich and smooth. The aroma was lovely & the taste just as good.
Very rich, and balanced. Great smooth taste.
This here is some good coffee. Probably my favorite so far. Lovely taste. I think I like the lighter beans in general.
I thought it was a bit bland.
Love the mix of light and dark. Gives it a fun, complex flavor
Really like this one. The first coffee was good, but this one a bit better. I like the mix of some darker roast. I think the first one was a little light for my taste, but still really good.
I really liked this one. For me it is very drinkable without bitterness or acidity.
Smells like heaven taste like heaven. Drinkable at anytime of day. Haven't stopped craving the coffee since first grind. Muah!
Love the taste and smooth profile of this coffee!
we liked this a lot - it had a really good, distinct flavor but wasn't too strong/dark for the morning.
French press, no cream, no sugar. This was a better coffee than anything you would find at average restaurant or fast-food joint, but maybe I'm holding these to a standard that's too high. This was good, but no part of it excited me. It's very possible my palate isn't delicate enough to find what was in here,
Damn good cup-a-Joe, nicely balanced. Delicious flavors of caramel and roast in every sip.
Maybe not quite as bold as I would like, but is a smooth cup of coffee
Excellent daily cup, perfect balance
Our favorite blend so far. Perfectly balanced. Great morning cup.
Love the caramel flavor. Very balanced without bitter or acidic ending.
despite description, wasn't smoky at all. super smooth and perfect black
Delicious well balanced flavor with just a hint of smokiness
I have been an avid coffee drinker for almost two decades. This coffee is the best coffee I have ever tasted. My husband, who I call a fake coffee drinker due to his excessive flavored creamer and sugar usage, prefers this heavenly brew with just a bit of half and half. The coffee is smooth with no hit of bitterness even after it has been reheated.
This is pretty good! Beans looks light brown, smells was very good and fresh when I open the pack. The coffee taste was great as well: none of the burn taste of the previous coffee that was sent.
Bold smokey and very strong. Very slight hint of caramel and chocolate. Very unique. I also think those who like it will love it.
This one is great
Tastes a bit bitter for us.
Weak and not dark enough but good flavor, very mild.
I liked this roast better than Dillons blend. The color of the bean was a bit lighter than I typically go for, but the flavor is still strong without tasting burnt or bitter. (I used to live in St. Louis and always enjoyed Kaldi's coffee.)
Kathy and Dominick
I really enjoyed this coffee. It was one of the earthier and more well-rounded of any we've had so far. The beans are a bit deceiving - quite light in appearance - but the flavor of the dark roast beans comes through loud and clear, keeping the acidity of the lighter beans in its place. You are spot-on to say that this is a perfectly balanced cup of coffee.
It's too light and I don't like it. The flavor seems bland to me and not bold enough.
Jessica & Jeffery
Jeff finds it too acidic .
I like Kaldi coffee, especially since it reminds me of my time that I lived in St. Louis. However, this blend was just ok. It was lighter than I normally like and too high in acidity for my tastes
This is a great cup of coffee. Full and rich with no bitterness. Great on the tongue with a beautiful follow through. Highly recommended.
Not as impressive. There was a nice chocolate aroma that didn't come through in flavor. More subdued than I prefer and a little flat.
Nice smooth blend...sweet and dark, but not bitter.
Not bad, but a bit bland.
Not strong enough. Not bold or rich tasting
Another so-so experience. Not bad, but I do remember thinking more than once "I'll be glad when this is all gone." On to the next bean!!!
Too acidic for my taste. When your first thougt is "vinegar", not a good sign
Kristena & David
Slightly more flavor than Diablo blend but still not as strong as I would like. Attempting to double the normal amount I brew with to increase flavor.
Ken and Vanessa
Good overall taste. Chocolate, Carmel, smoke. Slightly too acidic for my taste
This is excellent coffee
I liked this a lot!
Excellent, Dark, Bold and Awakening. Perfect for those days with a long to do list!
Really enjoyed how smooth and rich it tasted.
Not sure why, maybe the chocolate but wasn't a fan of this one.
Great cup of coffee. Just the way I like it.
A bit too light for my taste.
Really great! Both dark, and a great flavor profile that isn't chocolaty.
YUM! A favorite for sure.
Kim and Tom
Prefer a very dark roast.
Excellent cup of coffee! Great complexity.
Just not a dark enough roast for our taste.
Weak. I would give zero stars if it was an option. Tastes like crappy diner coffee that has been watered down.
The roaster's label says it is a mix of dark roasted and regular roasted beans, but the overall taste is strictly a medium roast. Fruity, high acid. Not much depth that is supposed to be provided by the addition of dark beans. I had trouble tasting any sweetness or notes of chocolate.
Good as coffee, but espresso did not hold up well with milk (usually do 4 oz).
This coffee is delicious.
Perfect balance of darkness, caramel, and rich body/maltiness. I will buy more of it.
Not as dark as we typically like. Great aroma though.
Didn't not like this at all . It was a medium roast and had a odd flavor .
Perfect cup , great blend of dark and light. New Favorite and buying more because I already missing. Yep I am addicted
Did not like this one very much. Ok when you need coffee, left an after taste. May be because don't like blends
very good. one of the better ones we've tried recently.
Good! A bit too much of a smoky flavor, but all and all a good cup of coffee
This coffee was fantastic. Strong and delicious.
Tastier mix than Dillanos but would love to get back to pure dark coffees.
I liked the balanced flavor of this blend. Just a bit too bitter for me.
Solid coffee. Did not stand out, but very good nonetheless.
I'm from St. Louis. I'll always defend my home brands. Best coffee in the world.
too much of typical latin american acidicity for my taste. boldness and flavor otherwise is good
Kaldi's Coffee is a whole new level of addiction. Best tasting coffee I've ever had.
This is AWESOME! Great notes of sweet chocolate and very full flavor. Simply Wonderful.
Katie & Aaron
caramel notes are prominent
This was a fine cup of coffee, but not the best I have had. It does not have a smooth finish to it. Maybe too peppery tasting for me.
I expected this coffee to have a fuller taste, based on the description. It was good but not great.
This is a "balanced cup" as described but it tastes more like a dark roast, with a finish that seems to have a hint of chocolate.
Great taste, but not quite bold enough for me to give it 5 stars
It's a solid all-around easy drinking coffee. Not the depth of flavor I prefer, so I didn't give this another star. But I would order again.
Good overall. I'd drink it again. Not my absolute favorite, but a solid one I do like.
Bland. The only flavor I got was caramel. So I guess if you really like Werther's Originals.....
Not a fan. Came out of my machine very sour and with a light body.
This coffee is all about the caramel. I've seen so many coffees claim to have notes of caramel, but they end up tasting burnt. This one balances the caramel and the dark coffee perfectly. One of my new favorites.
