This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Good Folks Coffee will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
The Day Tripper Blend was blended and roasted for you by Good Folks Coffee. Coffees from Colombia and Peru were carefully chosen and blended together. Simple and straightforward, this coffee is intended to appeal to a wide audience of coffee lovers. Chocolate and caramel notes are the stars in this smooth, rich and balanced blend, this coffee is perfect for enjoying any time of day.
It was a fine brew but upon comparison I much preferred the Phantom Limb Blend.
I think it's a great coffee. A little too lite/acidic for me still? But a good coffee to sip throughout the day. Good caffeine content.
A great tasting coffee!
Smelled great, but it was very hard to pick up on the vanilla or caramel. Left an unpleasant aftertaste.
Loved this one!
I enjoyed this blend and the aroma.
Tastes too bitter and acidic. Not smooth and chocolatey at all. Pretty strong aftertaste. Kind of aggressive first thing in the morning.
Good overall balance, a little dark, nice subtle flavor.
Perfect breakfast blend to start the day. The roast was lighter so the flavors tasted more subtle to me.
prefer richer coffee. did not like it.
Good as an iced drink, did not enjoy hot.
- too flavored, very weak coffee taste
so rich! so good!
I loved this! I have been drinking cheap grocery store coffee for the past few months and forgot how good coffee could be! Wow. Just wow.
The flavor was good, but the chocolate and caramel notes were so subtle I'm not sure I would have been able to identify them if I wasn't told. Overall enjoyed.
fresh smelled so wonderful We are new to drinking good coffee
Both didn’t like the taste. Tasted sour. Smell was off putting. Not a fan of vanilla and caramel combined. Caramel taste was a bit much.
Decent taste but not strong enough
It tastes delicious! It was stronger than I expected so I had a tricky time brewing it in a way that wasn’t overpowering the first few cups.
It was an enjoyable blend, very smooth and sweet. However, it did lack some of the complexity that I have found in other blends.
A solid, well-made coffee choice; strong notes of caramel/ vanilla in scent and taste with hints of semi-sweet chocolate. Almost nothing to discover with this coffee, which is never a bad thing, especially when you're looking for a tasty coffee to make on any given morning.
Good basic daily coffee. We feel we can drink this multiple times daily and not get tired of it.
it was ok! tend to come out a little watery
Well rounded, simple, easy drinking coffee. Definitely good for a wide range of audiences!
Had trouble dialing in the grind to really find the flavor notes. A nice cup of coffee but not as flavorful as I expected.
Liked the finish of the flavor and would describe it as oily and sweet. This is a consistent feeling on all of my favorite cups of coffee. This rates up there with my favorite coffees for those reasons.
I really enjoyed this!
Smooth, not bitter
Too acidic tasting for me.
Coffee was smooth and creamy. Would have preferred a little more acidity but I think that's just personal preference.
Loved it. It was really full-bodied with caramel/chocolate flavors with no burnt flavors. Also excellent iced!
A little mild but good flavor.
Took several grind adjustments to decrease the sourness to tolerable level. (Settled on med-fine grind (32 on Breville grinder)--finest recommended setting for drip. (Maybe need to go finer?) Now it's just ok. Still a little sour, weak, and don't really like the after taste. Perhaps it's better for those who don't drink their coffee black.
Loved it! Smooth and flavorful without being overpowering
Not bad just pretty average. On the lighter side
After working with these beans a bit more, I’m upgrading from 3 to 4 stars (3.5 if it were an option). Like it a lot more in in moka pot and French press. Also worked pretty well as Japanese method iced coffee (Chemex + Scale loaded with ice)
Falls a bit flat. Tried as a pourover and as espresso for an americano, so far. May give it a shot in the French press and try to extract deeper notes.
Can’t imagine picking it up again, especially at the price point after shipping is taken into account. Lots of better local options. Let’s see what’s next!
Easy and smooth to drink. A little stronger chocolate taste than expected. Would prefer a little less chocolate.
The coffee was too light and had a bitter almost acidic after taste - it’s good just not my cup of tea
A very rich and flavorful coffee. The sweet notes come through, which is incredibly nice. Very smooth and easy to drink. Delicious. A great evening coffee to round out the day. I can’t wait to try other new flavors
Possibly a new favorite, caramels, lighter roast, forgiving on brewing
Guatemala is hand down my favorite bean but the roast on this is every flavor that I detest about light roasts. Super disappointed as I said 100 times that I don’t like light roast.
This is good coffee, but has a bitter bite to it, which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars.
I kind of liked it. First coffee of late without fruit/citrus notes, at least in terms of pourover. The espresso had a mango finish - delish!
It was a bit to sweet for me and had a bitter finish. Could have been an error in my brewing method but I missed the chocolate and caramel notes. Not a coffee to add sugar to for sure.
Very good. Not bitter at all. Smooth, rich and balanced.
I only like dark roast coffee. This was way too light for me
Too acidic for me.
It was little bland and bitter after taste
Very good but didn't have the aroma I enjoy.
Nice blend but had a bit of bitterness to the finish.
Rich and flavorful. Deep notes of chocolate with a tinge of sweetness and mild bitterness.
This was very good but at the recommended amounts for the French press, it was too bitter. I liked the earthiness of it once I cut down on the amount I used per liter of water (40 gm).
I know it's good coffee, but for my tastes, I would give it between 3 1/2 to 4 stars. I think I might be used to a more forward taste -- this felt a little bland to me. But I still enjoyed it!
I like that it’s smooth. Could be a bit richer Perhaps I need a bit darker toast
Love the caramel and vanilla notes. Very smooth.
This was a great coffee. Smooth and didn’t need to cut it with much milk. Loved it.
Enjoyed the flavor. I usually like more creamy taste, however, my husband loved it!
It was very mild, felt like zero caffeine. :/
Too light I think. I think I definitely prefer dark roasts with low acidity, chocolate, and earthy/smokey tones. Please adjust to send dark roasts moving forward. Thank you.
Strong but weird aftertaste
Ground with blade grinder and brewed with drip. Strong unique aroma. Good morning coffee. Perhaps a bit too weak for my tastes.
Smooth but not as flavorful as I thought it would be.
Great cold brew
It was a little too light for our cold brew.
I love this! Exactly the type of coffee I was looking for.
Did not really like
Still working out grind + brew settings, but made a nice cup of coffee. Smooth and chocolatey, but a little bland like other reviews have said. Good if you're looking for something inoffensive.
It was lighter than I expected. I'm not sure if the flavor was affected by the grind. I filled out the questionnaire a few times (I still don't see any of that information on my profile) and I also indicated that I have a new French press that I now use to brew my coffee, yet the grind I received was for a drip coffee maker. :( The coffee was not terrible though.
I think it was okay, the flavor was smooth but kind of bland. There wasn’t much that was special and it didn’t matter how I brewed it, it didn't have enough flavor.
Smells amazing and has no bitterness
Not strong enough
I like something with a bit deeper, darker, and rounder tones with a whole mouth feel. This one tasted very pointed to me. I just got an Aeropress, so something that works well with that and creates the foam/cream at the end of the Aeropress push would be perfect.
I don’t like flavored coffee. It looked dry also
Very tasty, nice coffee for and afternoon. Can only image how it will taste iced!
This coffee is everything I love in coffee.
Pleasant aroma, nice caramel notes but not smooth. This bag is a one and done for me.
An alright morning brew but a little too bright and acidic for my tastes. It goes sour once it cools down in the mug.
This coffee is delicious. Smooth and rich, I get more chocolate notes than caramel. It’s easy-to-drink and isn’t too acidic. It’s a great way to start the day.
Enjoyed flavor profile...
Nice, clean blend. Good in the Chemex.
I was able to taste some hints of dark chocolate, almost baking chocolate and lemon. It also doesn't brew an overpowering cup, it's easy to drink but also easily can come off as weak. I brewed it using a moka pot and a one gram change can make the difference between a balanced cup and a watery coffee. Still, I like that it wasn't too acidic and hard to screw up, just want something sweeter.
Very good - rich and smooth
The chocolate and caramel flavor was fantastic, silky
. Not too dark or harsh.
This was absolutely delicious. I was really impressed by how it changed with cream and creamer. Black was nice and earthy, very fresh. Plain half and half gave it a chocolatey taste, but Italian sweet cream had it tasting like caramel. My entire family was super impressed, we are very much looking forward to next months choice if this is what we start with.
Tastes clean, a little "weak" compared to the grocery store coffees I usually put through my aeropress. Very nice flavor.
The coffee has a very smooth taste. It well balance, but would have liked it a bit stronger. Perfect for anytime of the day and suited for everyone in the house.
An easy coffee to drink and wake up with! Once I added and extra half of a scoop and it seemed to make it not as weak. A little acidic/sour, but that could have been from just brewing it as a drip coffee.
I may have to change my grind settings but this coffee did not seem very strong. Not much stood out to me when I brewed it.
Coffee was ok but didn’t really capture my attention. We found it a to be a bit flat and one dimensional
Still a newbie in terms of coffee, and being able to taste all the notes present, but I really did love this coffee. Very smooth and easy to drink, and it was something I could enjoy at any part of the day. Looked foreword to my cups everyday.
I woke up this morning craving this coffee. Not coffee in general; this particular coffee. I've been drinking coffee for 20+ years and I don't remember that having happened previously. It was my first MistoBox experience and I'm really happy with it!
Really good smell. Tastes good. I would get this again, but it has a little bit of a "butter" aftertaste. Can't think of a better way to describe it. I'm not an expert yet and can't easily identify what I like/don't like...but this is okay but not not excellent, for me that is.
Very nice aroma but way too fruity/sour for my tastes.
Really enjoyed it! Smooth and balanced. No strong, burnt floor we try to avoid in coffee. Makes a great espresso! As long as the coffees chosen are smooth and balanced I think we'll enjoy them. No idea the difference in flavor between single origin and blends but we tend to like blends. No idea about different regions and how they affect flavor. Interested to try a variety of coffees to get a better idea of what we like.
I did not care for this coffee. I do not like flavored coffees that have chocolate or any other type of flavoring added.
Next time please send a rich pure coffee with nothing added.
I definitely get notes of the chocolate and caramel, but more pronounced notes.
Can’t get enough fantastic coffee
Better than beans from big roasters I can get at the grocery, but not especially complex. Can't compete with the national specialty roasters (e.g. Stumptown) or my local roasters. Maybe it's the Columbian beans, but there's a "diner coffee" quality hiding in the finish.
Very solid choice!
It's not bad, but it tastes like high quality truck stop coffee.
It was definitely brewed and ready to go. A little bit on the tangy side. Excited about the next coffee!
It was okay.
Delicious. Very smooth and the perfect darkness.
Too sweet. Dark enough
Very smooth and does not give me any of the bitter notes that get stuck in your mouth from the oils. Great first coffee!
Nice and mellow but still good flavor! Very nice cold brew. We previously like darker roast because we like chocolate and they are usually lower aciditiy tasting. But this was a great balance of flavor!
Made for a decent cup of coffee but a little too light for my taste. Prefer a more full-bodied, darker, richer flavored coffee.
Smooth taste, under roasted for my preference but that’s a minor detail. Prefer a Medium-Dark roast instead of Light-Medium
Really enjoyed my first coffee. Love how I get to try new brands.
Smooth, chocolate background. Similar to another Peruvian coffee from 2-19.
It was very tasty! I want to now try a darker roast.
Flavor is pretty weak and tastes watered down. We use a french press, so on Day 2 I added an extra scoop and let it brew for 2min longer, which certainly helped.
Didn't like. Has a sourish flavor.
With cream, it’s a caramel bomb. It’s good, but not a daily drinker for me.
We liked this coffee but didn't love it. We are having a hard time describing why not, but I think it's a little lighter and less chocolate-y than we like
Tough to pick out the chocolate and caramel notes. I got more of a fruity flavor after brewing with my aeropress. Drinkable but lacking nuance. Will try to change up the ratios.
Coffee was great, but better iced.
Supposed to be vanilla and caramel. Could taste neither. Made hearty helping and was still very weak. Disappointing!
I liked that it wasn't bitter, however I think I would like something with a bit stronger flavor since I dilute it with half and half and a bit of sugar.
It’s a very “meh” bag of coffee to us. I didn’t care for the finishing notes.
Super smooth and enjoyable! Could go for something a bit more bold, especially for our first cup of coffee in the morning, but we are enjoying this blend as our afternoon pick-me-up.
I like a bit more of a full bodied coffee.
Liking it a lot. For the next shipment, I would like to get coffee that goes well with milk.
loved the aroma. taste was different, but started to grow on me.
Horrible taste terrible.
Coffee was a little weak and I don’t think I enjoy caramel flavor In coffee at all. Sorry, no offense! :)
Average, not super strong. Would like stronger.
Goodness, one of the better cups of coffee I've had in my life! The flavor was present but not overwhelming, and you could almost taste it every time you opened the bag. I almost ordered another bag of this, but I want to expand my horizons a bit more. Still, a fantastic brew and I've bookmarked the brewer. Wonderful!
Good overall. Malty, breast. Like the cocoa notes. An enjoyable cup. Only things keeping it from five stars was that roast was a tad light for me and there were some licorice notes to the flavor that I do not like.
Arrived this afternoon and hasn't been tasted yet
Great selection, stronger coffee taste than the lighter roasts.
Really enjoyed this coffee.
The Caramel and Vanilla flavoring was too subtle. It was difficult to pick up the flavor when the coffee was brewed and served hot. However, the flavoring was a little more pronounced when consumed as iced coffee.
I am not a big fan of caramel flavoring and would suggest we steer clear of this flavor for future samples. In fact, I do not like anything too sweet (like chocolate, mocca, coconut, etc.).
I do like flavors like cinnamon, almond, hazelnut, macadamia nut, etc. I do like medium and medium/dark blends (I don't like anything too bold or too strong).
The nose gave off a more complex suggestion of flavor than what delivered. Once brewed (pour over) the result was one note. Not unpleasant; but nothing to rave about either.
I liked it, although it was a bit too bright for me. I ended up grinding it with another medium roast coffee to tone it down.
A very safe, but pleasant cup.
This was too light for us. While it may be perfect for those who enjoy a lighter coffee, it tasted like a cup of dark tea in our opinion. Looking forward to a future, much darker, shipment.
Ok, decent cup of coffee. Not particularly memorable but not in a bad way either.
Good light coffee, good flavor
Terrible cold brew taste like straight coaco powder
Still trying to get my "coffee legs" underneath me. Trying to find a flavor that I like and not put sugar or Splenda in it. This coffee is good, but not what I'm looking for, if such a coffee even exists. Still a great start for me.
This was a great choice for my first coffee. I loved it from the first cup. Great job. Cant wait till next shipment
Extremely smooth and balanced with low acidity, this was a pleasure to drink. While I didn't get much of the caramel notes, the chocolate notes came through just fine. I'd drink this every day of the week.
I am not a fan of flavored coffees, so can we just send regular coffee beans for future shipments? Thank you!
Nice mellow flavor
Good flavors and perfect medium roast. Just be careful with the amount of beans, it can get extra string really fast.
Enjoyed this coffee!
Too sweet, like darker
Not bad, very palatable.
I enjoyed it. Found it to be agreeably smooth. Not particularly exciting or memorable, but more of an honest, mellow flavor. And I’m ok with that.
More of a lighter blend than a medium roast.
Mellow. Low acidity.
Looooooooove this coffee. I could drink this one everyday. It’s smooth and not too bright or acidic.
Not a huge fan. Came out pretty weak from a french press but was a bit better in a clever dripper. Not bad but definitely nothing special.
OK, nothing special.
Had a good taste, seemed super fresh although I think if there was anything to criticize it was that the caramel notes had an element of... oiliness? A very good baseline though, I enjoyed it.
Brewed with OXO Brew 9 Cup Coffee Maker. We were excited to receive our first shipment and tried some the same day we received and enjoyed smoothness. Ground the beans the night before using Baratza Encore grinder for our first morning batch. It was noticeably better when we ground and then immediately brewed vs the night before, so lesson learned there for us. Our first foray into small batch roasters and so far so good.
Enjoyed coffee both pourover and drip. Chocolate finish and not acidic at all. Enjoyed both mornings and mid afternoon.
I enjoy this coffee blend for its smooth and delicious flavors.
Very nice flavor. Easy to drink. A little more acidity than I normally prefer, but overall great coffee.
Wonderful, really enjoyed the flavor!
Amazingly fresh, it was obvious that it was recently roasted! Nice and smooth blend, just the right amount of sweetness, not too acidic. Loved it
Good Straight Ahead Blend, very nice alone or with food
This coffee was perfect!
This was very smooth, not bitter, and tasted fresh. Very easy drinking, even as black coffee. A darker aftertaste with coffee and caramel.
Coffee was very good. It was smooth and not acidic.
On the fence between 4 and 5 stars. This coffee is great black but noticed significant change in taste after a few days after opening.
Very good--almost perfect! Just a touch too much "chocolate." I really don't love a "chocolatey" coffee.
Smooth, balanced; a simple and solid cup of coffee
We enjoy the coffee. It had a good aroma and didn’t leave a bitter aftertaste. A very good cup of coffee.
Flavorful. Mild. As "medium" a roast can be. Slightly underwhelming. Definite chocolate, even nutty taste. Complemented well with milk. Not bold, rich enough. Just a bit too acidic for a medium roast coffee.
Best coffee that I've had in a long time.
Pretty good. Smooth flavor but would have liked to try something bolder.
Somewhat earthy and without noticable other notes. Overall, not bad but not great
This is a lighter roast than I typically go for. But it was robust for a medium roast and highly enjoyable.
I loved this coffee. It was rich with flavor and very consistent from stat to finish. I highly recommend.
We actually made cold brew with this and it was very nice. For a hot beverage, we had it in the evening after dinner. Not what we would normally drink for our first cup in the morning.
This was a lighter/medium blend that was "crisp" to the taste. It was super rich in flavor, and I think it tasted best in my Aeropress, but works well for French Press, too!
It was so good, I'm going to have to buy some of this myself and put it into my rotation! Thanks!!!
Loved it - would absolutely get it again.
Coffee was solid. Good hints of chocolate and caramel . I did find it a tad on the bitter side.
Really enjoyed this one! Loved the chocolate flavor
After trying it for multiple days I'm finding that I'm not a fan of it. Did 32 g of coffee to 512 g of water and still find that there's a sourness towards the end of the cup that I don't like. Grinding at 18 on a Barazta virtuoso.
Loved it! Smooth, tangy blend with lots of flavor.
It's so smooth
I love it
Slightly more tart than I prefer, but otherwise tasty. I enjoy the chocolatey flavor.
It was terrible. We indicated on our quiz that we did not like flavored coffee. We like dark roast and would like to only receive dark roast.
I really liked the flavor, but I didn’t love the finish - felt a little acidic. Was lighter than the roasts I usually have but I was very pleased with it it!!!
Very good mild cup of coffee, nice balance of acidity and roasted flavor
It has a great taste. On the sweeter side. It would even better if it was a little stronger.
Good tasting. Just not enough coffee flavor. Too gentle. Maybe we like full-bodied more than we thought.
Very smooth. Tried drip, pour over and French press. Believe the French press works the best with this blend. When used makes it rich and taste the hints of vanilla.
Very smooth and easy to drink. Brewed slow drip, enjoyed this one best black.
Edit: just picked up a pour over. Really good prepared this way, too
Good starter coffee for pour over, not too much but a good way to distinguish taste between french press. Definitely stands by "any time of day" - was great for early morning and afternoon pick me ups. Made amazing cold brew - the chocolate notes really pop with a longer brew - almost pepperminty bitterness right under the dark chocolate. Great overall!
really nice medium roast.
What a great way to start my morning!
Less caramel, more chocolate would be better. Also I prefer a more oily bean
Very delicious, easy to drink and tastes great.
Easy drinking--great way to start the day. We are excited to try more complex and deep flavors, but this was good. Definitely expected more flavor because the smell was so strong. Perhaps we were brewing it a little weak.
I love this! Off to a good start. My fiance enjoys it as well as it is not too heavy.
It is an okay blend. I thought I would really like it based on the chocolate and caramel flavors, but it has an odd taste that I can't really get behind.
Adjusted a number of things (brew methods, grind size, etc.) but I feel like the taste came out a bit acidic for my tastes.
Day Tripper is a perfect reminder of a fantastic drip cup while home. It was rich with an almost smokey taste. Which makes sense, being from kentucky. From bourbon to the pits, they know their smoke. I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to splash some Buffalo Trace in it this weekend after fully enjoying it by itself this work week.
Has a little bit of that "wet socks" taste - could use something with a little more acid I think?
Decent and smooth. This reminds me of a coffee I would want to sip when I just want to get my caffeine in. I had a hard time tasting the different flavors in it, but liked how smooth it was to drink.
I really liked this. I would probably give it a 4.5. I am new to coffee and normally get my coffee at the grocery store. This was a change of pace and I liked it a lot. I finished my morning cup without even realizing because it was so good.
Mellow but with lots of flavor! Delicious
Basically perfect. I can see this as my go to coffee.
Pleasantly surprised. Thought it might be uninteresting but I was wrong. Very mellow but full flavor and lovely first cup in the morning.
As expected, I love it!
I like it, it’s definitely good in the morning, I think the caramel and vanilla notes were a tad sweet as I prefer nutty but I still enjoyed it
Perhaps too fruity for my taste? Borderline sour. I didn’t pick up any of the flavors from the notes.
Maybe a little on the bright side for me
I got this already ground for my drip and pour over. The smell of this coffee is amazing you smell both the caramel and the chocolate. The coffee black was great, however, it didn't have that wow factor I was hoping for. It is a great everyday cup of joe. When I added oat milk, the coffee tasted so acidic which didn't play well with my stomach.
Kinda acidic. Other than that flavor was good
A little too acidic for my tastes. Though I'm still working on getting my grind and brew technique dialed in so that may be part of the issue.
Didn't get the caramel or chocolate notes, got more of a fruity coffee flavor. Not bad, but expected it to be a bit richer, although could have been due to my brewing
defiantly liked it
A little sour, too earthy?
Great flavor and freshness. A touch too acidic for us, but a lovely roast nonetheless.
Too acidic, I prefer a darker roast. Also I use alternative milks and this coffee is so acidic it curdled my milk.
Not my favorite. Not a rich flavor. Carmel notes were not that appealing
liked it a lot but prefer darker blends
A little too bitter for my liking but overall very flavorful
I thought it was very smooth and flavorful coffee!
It's good, but I think I'd prefer a darker roast.
Really tasty in the espresso machine! Not too bold but the flavor is delicious
A little to acidic for our liking and would like a stronger flavor.
Smells delicious. Great for just drinking black w/o food.
Caramel comes across more in the scent than flavor, but very smooth and easy to drink.
Great coffee, very smooth.
Very smooth, and fresh tasting. Not overbearing in the flavors.
A little too earthy. Not bright enough. More chocolate favor maybe
I really like this one. Great balance but still lots of flavor. Thanks!
It was OK... Tasted as good as any other coffee I've had at home... Nothing special but certainly not bad.
Tasty and easy to drink. Didn't have much character, but that's not always a bad thing
Love this one!
I have had a hard time dialing in this coffee on my espresso machine. It comes out very acidic as a shot then made into a cappuccino smooths out. I can’t say much about it unfortunately. If I had dialed the coffee in right I would have loved this coffee.
Great flavor, stands up well to the splash of half and half I usually drink with. Pourover was good, but the one time I brewed automatic drip it lost a lot of the more subtle notes. Haven't gotten around yet to trying chemex or french press. I want to say I'd lean towards something slightly "stronger", but even without making any adjustments to water vs. grounds this is definitely one I can see buying again.
Flavor profile lacked complexity. A bit too pedestrian for my tastes.
Did not have any taste. Really need more espresso taste.
Not as flavorful as I wanted.
We LOVED the smell of the beans when we opened the bag! It was definitely a comforting brew! We are excited to try another coffee with unexpected flavors next time!
Good coffee, just not to my taste. Tasted more citrusy to me than chocolate or caramel. Also this bag is retailing for $12.. would have been cheaper for me to buy direct from retailer.
Great coffee. Solid chocolate notes and smooth to drink.
I didn’t taste chocolate or Carmel. It also didn’t have a very rich or much flavor. Normally when you open a bag it smells amazing and you can’t wait to try it. This one smelled funky. Kind of reminded me of a cheap coffee you get free at work or something
It was okay but not great.
Good flavor and incredibly smooth! It was a tad more acidic than I like though.
really good! the chocolate and caramel notes are definitely there. 4 stars only because I’m finding it a little bit more on the thinner/acidic side than I prefer, but i’m not sure if that’s the coffee or if i’m brewing it wrong.
As a newbie I really struggled to dial this in on my espresso machine. It ended up being sour no mater how much I reduced the grind. I loved the smell, have not gotten the chance to try it in my French press yet.
I really liked this with milk and sugar! Would not drink by itself since it has sort of a sour taste but with cream and sugar it's delicious.
Easy drinker, can taste the caramel notes!
This is a great everyday coffee. Very smooth, easy drinking. It is not as dark/bold as the coffees I tend to favor but the flavor was still full and balanced. I usually only drink 1 smallish cup a day, but it's easy to keep going with this one. Would be interested to try something bolder next time (which it looks like I've got in the queue). Thanks!
It was a decently drinkable cup of coffee, a little on the mild side for our tastes though. Definitely get the caramel flavor and it smells delicious, we’re just looking for something a bit more well rounded
A little too light for this household’s taste!
Smelled wonderful, but after grinding, this brewed with an intense residue.Tastes like it was artificially sweetened and too much for an everyday morning coffee.
Really good. Maybe slightly bright for my taste but very enjoyable anyway!
So Smooth! Great roast no bitterness. Very flavorful and smells amazing ground and while brewing!!! I had to order another bag!!
Very light and smooth and unoffending - I'm not particularly impressed or in love with this blend, but it's very easy to drink!
Awesome flavor and brewed really easily with the cold brew. Would be happy with a bit more coffee or a darker chocolate flavor but would buy again.
Liked it, but it was a lot smokier than I prefered. Still good though
Good, very smooth
A bit light but smooth and not acidic, which was great. Generally like medium to dark.
Very smooth, wish it had bolder flavor. One of the better medium roasts I've had, but I prefer darker roasts
It made a DELICIOUS iced coffee. I tend to make iced coffee with more additions (more cream, sugar, and cinnamon) and enjoy brighter notes, but neither my husband or I cared for it as much when we drank it as a hot cup of coffee. The packaging was also a bit tedious.
Too smokey for me
Really tasty. I tend to like more mild coffees but would be open to a slightly bolder flavor as well.
The blend was delicious and a great start to this subscription service. I enjoyed the hints of chocolate and nutty-ness. I hope to try some more adventurous flavors!
There was some bitter note that I wasn’t fond of but overall it was a good coffee
We loved it. Very smooth and a perfect morning coffee with breakfast.
I liked the chocolatey peanut notes.
Delicious! One of the easiest drinking coffees I've ever had, with pretty much no bitterness. Smooth and round, I definitely got caramel from it. A new favorite, for sure!
My husband and I both really loved this coffee! It's light but full on flavor, and there's something about it that makes it taste very fresh. I wholeheartedly agree with the provided description- very accurate. Four thumbs up from this household!
I think this coffee is good. However, I find it acidic if I make it in the French press. When i made it in my coffee phin, it was less acidic and had the chocolate/caramel notes.
Agree with the description. Great balanced cup!
Smooth. Easy drinker. I enjoyed it.
I didn't care for it.
Good mild blend with noticeable notes of caramel and chocolate. I normally can’t drink coffee black (always add cream) but this was actually mild enough and flavorful enough that I didn’t feel the need to add anything. Not sure I’d necessarily buy it again with so many other choices out there, but will definitely enjoy the bag that I have!
Love it! Great basic blend for my moka pot
Espresso was somewhat sour through my Jura Z8 but worked better in a cappuccino or as straight coffee for a medium roast.
I like it, but I wish it tasted as great as it smells. I get the caramel, sort of, but not chocolate. It helped to reduce the amount of water I normally use in my drip brewer.
I was hoping for more of a rich flavor. It kinda tasted like a mediocre grocery store coffee. Better than Foldgers but not by much.
Very smooth, no bite. Very tasty for a medium/dark roast. Wonderful nutty notes with hints of caramel. Perfect!
A nice sweetness behind it, smelled great out of the bag. Easy drinking if in the mood for something like a lightly flavored coffee.
The most amazing thing was the smell through the letterbox when it arrived and every day since.
This coffee was good, but I didn’t like that it has a bit of an acidic front taste and then very little taste on the back end. I prefer coffee to be more full bodied and to have more of a creamy, smooth taste if that makes sense !
Great fragrance out of the bag. It’s kind of earthy, so I think I’d like something a little smoother.
On a side-note, I like my coffee black. My girlfriend typically puts cream or chocolate in her coffee, but also wants to try getting used to black coffee. We’d like to explore some coffees that are good as is, but might also be nicely complimented with cream or a little bit of chocolate.
Th roast was too light for our taste. We prefer a darker, more robust taste. This might be ok for an afternoon cup of coffee but we missed our morning jolt. Hoping our next selection will be darker.
Absolutely love it, very smooth and tastes great!
I think the aroma is awesome. I think the vanilla caramel taste is not optimal for me. i'm more of a dark roast kind of guy.
I really enjoyed this coffee. The amount of roast was right up my ally. I was hesitant that the chocolate and caramel description would make it taste too "flavored" but I was pleasantly surprised with how smooth and well balanced it is.
Mellow at first, but with a darker finish
Decent, not special. High acidity, Not picking up the vanilla/caramel (not necessarily a bad thing)
It was a little light for my taste. Flavor was present of chocolate.
Wasn't my favorite. I think it was the caramel notes that I wasn't crazy about. Not sure if I'll finish the bag.
Love the taste and smoothness of this coffee. The smell while it is brewing is amazing.
Mild coffee, without a lot of strong flavors, nice but not something I would necessarily look forward to drinking.
Flavorful and balanced. very chocolate, but not flat at all.
Overall the coffee is fine when dolled up with cream and sugar. It's a little flat and dry throughout. I prefer to drink my coffee black, and my wife likes to add things. This coffee is not enjoyable to me straight, and I need to add things to mask the coffee.
Good! I only really tasted the caramel, but enjoyed.
This rating is only off one brew with a Chemex. It was smooth and delicious, but it lacked complexity. Just kind of a boring coffee. Delicious but boring.
Perfect breakfast coffee!
Delicious! We loved the smell. It was good both with and without milk.
Smooth, easy to drink. Good flavor.
OK, but not amazing. It tastes weaker than the medium roast I am used it, would prefer something a little stronger tasting.
For me the flavor too chocolaty for me, I prefer more acidic flavors
WELL BALANCED. Full bodied. I really liked this coffee
A fine coffee. Nothing special. Dont really taste the chocolate or caramel. Probably want something with more distinct flavors.
Very rich and creamy! Love the aromas and taste! Very happy with this pick!
East drinking dessert. Caramel and vanilla notes very pronounced.
Couldn’t even drink it
Ashlynn Rickord and
Nice flavor & good aroma.
Delicious smell and taste!
I’m sure folks enjoy this, but we did not. Flavored coffee makes me gag, and the vanilla Carmel flavor was a bit too close to that for us. Again I’m not wanting to leave a bad review on what I am sure some will find to be a nice coffee... but we could not drink it.
Decent but doesn't have the body of fast track. Fast track is their best blend.
The creaminess and chocolate notes are phenomenal in this blend. A very smooth, drinkable coffee - satisfied both coffee drinkers in our house.
I liked this one.
A little lighter than we prefer - like darker, richer more full bodied coffees.
Julie & Aaron
Solid cup of coffee with smooth finish
Really good medium roast. Perfect for espresso
Rowena and Noah
Loved it. Smelled amazing and drank really smooth
All the floral notes were overpowered by an acidic, bitter finish
This one was my favorite of the 3. It was nice and smooth and dark.
Not great. I was unimpressed with this blend. Still prefer my Starbucks or Peets over this coffee.
I had no idea you could actually taste the oils in coffee before. I've always had cheap stuff like folgers and at the fanciest Peets, compared to those guys this stuff was so complex and tasty!
Perfect blend of coffee. You hit the nail on the head!!!
liked it, both as espresso and drip
Easy drinker, nothing stands out too much either way as far as taste. Slightly acidic.
Taste improved when more coffee was used.
nice classic cup.
It wasn't a bad coffee, per se, but it seemed bland - the flavor didn't have the richness or pop that I really prefer (and that I feel like a French Press is really good at pulling out). All that said, I don't mind finishing the bag at all!
Great coffee anytime. Smooth, not too strong. Hints of flavor without taking away from a great coffee taste.
A little more bold than hoped for, but a great brew for sure. Pour over.
Easy to drink, crowd pleaser kind of coffee. Exactly what I expected. Not as vibrant as what I would have chosen myself but overall I really enjoyed it.
A little too sweet for my tasye
Super easy drinker. Rich and smooth. Notes of chocolate and malt.
way too dark and wasn't a fan. Better as an espresso than pourover but still equally as bad
Very good easy draining morning cup
Excellent choice. Very flavorful. Not too strong.
The coffee is very good, I would give 4.5 stars if possible. As I am learning my roasts, this one is pretty mild and I think a tad bit bolder would be terrific.
Super smooth, not too complex and really nice coffee all around. Made an awesome cold brew as well.
Super easy drinking and balanced, I just prefer things a little on the fun side. Great every day cup, just not that interesting.
Good but nothing really stood out
A bit bland.
A couple members of my family found it bitter. Some felt it lacked body. Didn't hate it but wouldn't seek it out again.
Flat, watery taste. Went heavy on the beans and steeping time on the French press too. Definitely not a medium roast coffee- should’ve been a VERY light roast. Little to no hints of any Carmel or chocolate. Overall disappointed.
Very flavorful and smells good too
Full flavor, Carmel
It's very strong on the vanilla. It grows on you; however, I wouldn't pick it up again just based on personal taste.
I loved the flavors! I think I may enjoy something a little more bold in flavor. It tasted very light and was very enjoyable to drink.
Enjoyed this rich smooth coffee
It’s really tasty! Lots of good flavors and awesome aroma. A little on the mild side of our preferences, but we typically skew towards darker roasts. Can’t wait for the next recommendation!
Well-rounded and caramelly
Loved! So smooth!
Very tasty! Would definitely want to try similar types of coffees.
Good but not great. I think I would like something a little bolder/stronger
Very good, smooth with a sweet after taste that's very subtle.
pretty good. Not sure what I’m looking for exactly but this is right up my ally. It’s a bit more acidic and lighter not sure if that is even the right way to capture it but excited to see how the next one compares.
Not a medium bodied brew, more light and not as much flavor as I hoped for.
Didn’t taste much like coffee or anything for that matter . Very neutral and not good on any level .
Good but not my favorite
good flavor and aroma
I like a little more body and intensity. However, it is very excellent coffee.
It was the kind of coffee I enjoy, it was rich and delicious. It produces a nice, clean cup of coffee each time, with clear, distinct flavors! <3
Too much of a "girly" flavor. I usually just drink as espresso.
A little too mellow for my tastes- not bad, but not a ton of flavor.
I think I would like to try a darker one
mellow and easy to drink. maybe too easy?
I enjoyed this blend. I particularly liked how it had a bit of oiliness that coats your tongue.
Really loved it! Smooth! Had trouble tasting the subtle flavors but I enjoyed it overall!
1st-Wasn't impressed but Im no coffee connoisseur. I regularly have 8 o'clock coffee and DouieEgbert coffee. They are mild and sweet before adding cream or sugar. Beans smell delicious inside the bag, and when brewing. This is as important as tge taste!
2nd-Bag labeled Vanilla & Caramel. Chocolate not mentioned as it is here. This coffee, for being so fresh, didn't smell that good, almost burnt odor. I tasted no "notes" of Chocolate, caramel, or Vanilla. Not rich. I used drip method. Will try french press next. It wasn't horrible though, Ill definitely finish the bag. Too strong, perhaps, for my tastes.
Okay flavor, a too light for me
Smooth and easy-to-drink, the Day Tripper Blend could easily become a daily favorite. I loved that this roast wasn't overly acidic and that the caramel notes provided a rich taste. From the moment I opened the bag and smelled the beans, I was excited to brew this roast.
Zach & Madison
SO good, very middle ground flavor in the best way. the flavor added to the beans was really nice!
A little too light for our taste
Gotta love day tripping. Thank u for the experience!
Tasty but a bit too light and fruity
This coffee was great! I enjoyed the lightness and clean flavor.
A little bit bitter. Otherwise perfect.
Paula and Jeremy
It is too weak.
I thought this coffee was fantastic
Smells wonderful. Hints of chocolate and caramel are lovely. Overall, tho, kinda meh.
It was just a little on light side. When I used more scoops than I usually do it was great.
Brewed first pot this morning, it's good and has a nice caramel flavor but it's not strong enough.
Please send a "richer" brew next month. Thanks
Good, but not exciting to me. Blends tend to be somewhat muddy tasting to me - harder to distinguish specific flavor profiles. Chocolate/caramel are not my faves (in coffee) unless very forward.
Hard to explain, very boring taste that doesn't really align with the profile of "chocolate, caramel, & rich". Perhaps it is a bit too sweet
Very nice, and very light -- though perhaps a bit too light. I loved the low acidity but a touch on the bolder side would be perfect.
It tastes good, like an easy cup of coffee to drink, but is also a little uninteresting. More distinctive notes would be welcome!
Liked the texture, full round flavors no bitterness
It was a good place to start. Solid coffee.
Good solid, bold coffee. Enjoyed the smooth chocolate and caramel notes.
Chocolate and caramel notes gave it a light flavor yet still bold and rich.
I liked it. Was flavorful enough where I wasn’t using as much sugar as usual.
A beautiful coffee! Smooth Carmel goodness all around! Love!!!
It was a little lighter in flavor would want something a bit richer .
A little too acidic and bright for my taste.
Well balanced and delicious!
This coffee was a little bright and acidic for me.
Loved this coffee! It was very smooth and easy!
Good. Nice and light in flavor
Really enjoyed. Read a lot of reviews that said this was too light. Not so, very good and extremely drinkable throughout the day.
Great quality, just a little light on the taste for me.
Too acidic for me
I really enjoyed this coffee. I do not tend to like coffee when it is hot. There is still a bitterness to this coffee when hot. However, when it is cooled the citrus really comes through and I enjoyed it a lot when it was cool.
Pretty good. A little acidic but I like acidic. A tiny but smoother would be perfect but this was really delicious. I will probably buy more from them in the future.
My husband and I enjoyed the subtle caramel flavor however the coffee lacked depth, we both described it as ‘coffee flavored tea’
Good overall. Used with French press. A little plain/light. Would be interested in trying something with a little stronger flavor.
Not bad, but too acidic for my taste.
Smooth and delicious
Smells delicious!!! Well balanced, we could def taste the caramel. We prefer a little more dark roast but all in all was great.
Was good overall, would like to try a darker roast next time
This was good but perhaps a bit too light-bodied for me.
Really liked this one
Good coffee. Tasting notes were spot on. Nothing mind blowing or unique but a very well rounded coffee and a good everyday brew.
Dean & Becca
Decent, need a little more coffee flavor
Overall very good. Definitely got the caramel and vanilla with maybe some chocolate at the end as well. A solid coffee if just a little straightforward.
Good flavor. I like it
Love the lighter flavors and the low acidity!
Loved this one.
Actually orderd more online
Sturdy, smooth, slightly vanilla sweet.
Pretty weak coffee, even on highest grind setting. Not much body or flavor profile
It was average. Not great but not bad either.
Excellent! Very full bodied. Great match with the Aeropress.
My favorite so far!
I absolutely loved this blend and will definitely buy a larger bag of it soon. It was so smooth! I was a bit sad when I finished the bag this morning.
Solid cup of coffee, nothing wrong with it. Have no problems using the bag. Just wanted more finish.
I loved this one. Full and complex. Excellent balance of fruity and nutty tastes.
Lisa and Terry
love this for the taste and the name
I like this coffee - I turned up the strength on my coffee grinder to make it a little bolder and liked it even better.
Nice, smooth drinking coffee. Good caramel notes
This coffee is worth having any time of the day. Pairs well with Almond biscottis.
Overall a good blend that was well balanced and worked in different brewers. Would like to try more fruity/citrus coffees instead of rich/chocolate/spice coffee. Feels like all of my curator picked coffees have been the same.
Great taste, not too strong. Love this blend.
I was expecting the richness to come through based on the description. It ended up being generically "okay" with not much distinct to it.
Loved it! Didn’t need to add milk or sugar. Lots of flavor but not bitter or sweet.
I've only had a chance to try it once so far, and I didn't find it as nuanced as I'd like. However, I do enjoy the chocolate/caramel notes!
Chris & Nikki
Overall the flavor was good, but it felt like it was missing a fullness. Like it could have been a little more robust. If it helps as a point of reference, our favorite coffee ever is Blue Heeler by Colectivo.
I really loved it, but too early to give out 5 stars. :)
Good taste, balanced. Roast level of beans was fine. Needed more coffee than normal to get flavor.
Very mellow and inoffensive. Good for a crowd with various likes.
Great coffee although it was easy to drown out the flavor if I added just a touch too much cream to it.
Good but taste was on weak side. The notes of the favors did not come through when brewed. Not horrible but not a favorite. Smelled great before brewing but was disappointed with brewed coffee.
It is a fine coffee. I like the malty-sweet flavors that it provides as well as the sheer drinkability of it. It tends to be very much on the sour side when brewed with a french press. It also doesn't do too well when iced and ends up tasting flat.
Overall, it's a good session coffee for study sessions or social gatherings where the coffee is not the center of attention.
I don't understand why 'rich' is a descriptor. However, it's a mild pleasant experience; bright, chocolate and toasted bread.
I wouldn't buy it again, but it was no hardship to drink it.
Great balanced blend. No bitter after taste.
Very smooth and balanced. Maybe looking for something a little bit more unusual!
Solid cup of coffee, but a bit lighter than I typically go for. I prefer something more robust.
I liked this, I was bright and drinkable. But it made me realize I may prefer a darker roast for the next delivery.
Lovely Medium Roast.
Really liked it!
Really nice and even in my chemex. Chocolate was there for sure...I would be totally happy with this in the overall mix of coffees I drink. I would like to see more fruit flavors, maybe predominately, in what you guys send me, but I really dug this one! Super aromatic when ground too...probably the best smelling coffee I've tried since I got into this whole process recently.
I thought it was a really well balanced coffee. Not bitter. Easy to drink with no cream or sugar.
Nice aroma and color. On the lighter end medium-dark spectrum. Enjoy the nutty and caramel taste.
Awesome coffee. So smooth and delicious
A little darker than I'm used to, but good favor
Medium quality blend
The flavor and smell are great, but I would have liked it to be a bit richer and more robust.
Great coffee! Great tones of chocolate and well balanced. Would drink it again for sure!
Liked it - no bitterness, which I love and works well as a decaf mix.
Edit: I increased my last batch to 10:1 water/coffee ratio and was happier with my results.
Good taste. A bit weak.
Good taste, however it came out a little weak in my French Press. I tried 15:1 ~ 12:1 water ratios. Perhaps it would be better with finer grounds and pour over, over if I increased it to 10:1 ratio.
Not bad; brewed a bit weaker than expected in both french press and auto drip. Used medium-coarse to medium-fine grinds with much more than normal grounds; still came out a bit weak.
On the plus, tasted great any time of day.
Not bad, but definitely not wowed. Started at 20 grams and had to increase to nearly 30 to really get the strength I usually enjoy in my cleaver dripper. Thought it was pretty thin, not at all rich and not really picking up on chocolate or caramel.
My first impression was that this was somewhat non-descript. I think the level of roast could have been darker. I liked the subtle chocolatey flavor but it was very subtle. I also tried it as an espresso shot and felt it to be acidic.
It was a little too rich.
Delicious. Love this one.
It's a really good balanced cup of coffee! Excited to keep trying others and maybe find one that has some edge to it.
Wasn't love at first cup; however, as I spent more time with it - I have really come to enjoy it. Would consider this to be an ultra light roast, which is very different from what I am accustom to (a good thing). Enjoying the process and introduction to new coffee(s). Thanks, Sam!
A great, smooth cup of coffee that is a higher quality version of what you would call “normal” flavor. Not something I would drink black necessarily due to the lack of specific flavor since it is a blend, but held up well to a bit of half and half with sugar, and was something I enjoyed the whole morning. I’ve had it 3 times now, playing around with pour over and grind. The wife also really enjoyed it. Something like this could easily be my staple coffee, with other more exotic flavors being an occasional pleasure.
I liked it tasted good iced. Black and hot. I would prefer a coffee with a little more flavor and stronger. After I adjusted the amount of coffee I'm very satisfied with the taste. i can taste chocolate and caramel notes. I'm for trying different tastes so fill my Queue accordingly.
Superb taste. Smooth at first, but punctuated with a pang of flavor. It reminds me of the coffee once served at an old pancake shop in town. I would add this to my fave list.
Good taste, but is not a strong coffee. I've grown up on Cuban coffee, bustellos. It required two coffees to feel the affects.
Melissa & Mark
A little lighter roast than I typically like, but was great as an iced coffee!
This coffee is amazing! I would definitely order it again! Waaay better than Starbucks and Caribou! LOVE IT!
Good flavor. Could be richer and more robust. Enjoying it very much.
Nice full flavor, great smell (caramel), smooth
Tasted like chemicals.....or coffee you would get at a cheap coffee shop....did not care for it. Like rich bold smooth nutty flavor that taste like it smells. Thank you.
LOVE THIS COFFEE!! If you ever need to resend one, this is it!!!
Tastes good, but maybe a little light on the flavor side.
Very balanced and smooth. Could taste the caramel flavor but it wasn't too overwhelming.
This is the first coffee I received so I don't have anything to compare it to.
I thought it was great. I loved the hint of a flavor without it being too overwhelming & artificial. Great blend!
Prefer a darker roast and not as flavored.
It was smooth.
The coffee was wonderful. Very balanced and smooth. We loved the chocolate flavor and that it wasn't too overwhelming.
Asked Anne what notes she detected and she said “cigarettes”. I personally thought it tasted like sawdust.
Good. Liked the subtle flavors
Good, caramelly, I enjoyed it, but enjoyed it more when I ground the beans finer so the brew was darker. I enjoy darker roasts traditionally but this one was delicious! Would buy it again.
Was a little too sweet or fruity for me. A little bit of a darker medium roast might be better next time. Thanks!
The coffee was really good and great for everyday. I do wish it has more body and depth.
nutty with a smooth rich finish.
Balanced and smooth. I didn't find it to be all that rich, which is a good thing.
Nice and smooth. Sweet notes can be tasted from the get go so don't sweeten too much or at all.
With sugar tastes good, little bitter otherwise.
So weak. Did not like at all
Great coffee. Pour over is excellent. Will try French Press next. Wonderful with cream and sugar. Roast level was good. Loved the chocolate flavor. One of the most drinkable coffees I've had.
Excellent coffee - wonderful aroma right out of the bag and very smooth to drink. We made it using our french press and the flavor has been so good to wake up to in the morning.
very good taste, but could be a just a little stronger - by the time cup is less than half full, seems like the flavor fades. could be just me.....
Aroma was great. I usually like a little darker roast, however the taste was bolder than it appeared. I don’t usually care for flavored coffee but it was not overpowering in this brew.
This was the perfect roast, I wouldn’t want anything lighter but would definitely try something similar or darker. I really liked the flavor of this one.
The chocolate and caramel certainly come through. I liked it, but I think my tastes may be somewhat seasonal, and I think I would have enjoyed this more during the winter months. For my next one, I'd like to try something a little less rich.
Love the taste!! Definitely my kind of coffee. Would like to try a light roast, though.
We like this one very much. Easy to drink. We are looking to try different coffees so mix it up a little for us.
I liked it. smooth and easy to drink. It was an easy first pick because the flavors are common.
A bit light in character. Warm overtones were nice but a full taste of caramel or chocolate was faint. My family and I did not taste the "rich". We pourover brewed each cup using extra coffee : water and it still tasted a bit weak.
The first brew was blunt and tasted a bit burnt. Adjusting brew methods led to enjoyable cup with a decent aftertaste, but still leaned toward the bitter and lacked complexity.
4.5 star very good :) on the light end for a medium roast. slight sourness as a pour over, perhaps my technique. very good flavor palette.
I found the coffee smooth, aromatic, easy to drink, but not especially interesting or compelling. It lacked some level of intensity that I would prefer
Good, still browsing for something different.
We loved this - we're not the most sophisticated coffee drinkers but enjoyed the balance & smoothness of this blend. My only note would be that we'd be interested in trying something that was a little more flavorful, but could be our grind settings.
Tastes light for a medium roast. Good acidity. Easy drinkability. Overall taste was pleasant but I usually like something a little stronger.
I liked this blend, and would drink it again but didn't love it. I got notes of lightly burned toast, and the nuttiness.
Can certainly taste the caramel and vanilla. This truly is a coffee that you can drink at any time of day. Like the flavor profile at the beginning, however, the coffee tastes sour at the end, I did not like that. Has a very easy, smooth and rich taste to it which I enjoyed. This is a coffee that I wouldn’t mind introducing to someone who was not accustomed to drinking coffee. A good coffee overall
I thought this was a little acidic. Not great for making Toddy Cold Brew... first sip I was like WOAH and not in a great way... mellows out and tastes better with half and half but I wasn't crazy about it.
The wife liked it - so that's really all that matters.
Smooth. Slightly sweet when black.
I enjoyed how smooth it was and very easy to blend with a cream flavoring. Overall this was a great first coffee as I believe it was a safe choice to send.
Great cup of coffee. Just a bit of a lighter taste - so not as bold/rich as advertised. I would recommend it.
I not a big fan of the caramel undertones. Very smooth, but too
for my taste.
Great! Loved the blend, one of tops.
A little light on flavor. Smooth and easygoing but could use a lot more body to it.
We liked it a lot! Generally it was very sweet which was pleasant but probably wouldn’t want every time.
It was okay. Couldn't consistently get a good flavor, either too dull or too bitter
Maybe a little too mild for my tastes, but a wonderful blend! Smooth with a strong caramel taste and chocolate notes. Something I could see myself coming back to when I want a light and reliable cup, but not necessarily a coffee I would enjoy daily. At the moment I am into bolder flavors.
Was definitely lighter than how I like my coffee. Liked the hint of chocolate!
Good! Pleasant flavor. Body/mouth feel is kind of thin. Maybe I used too much water in the pour? Idk...
EDIT: Actually this is really good. After living with it for a while, Im really liking the flavor. I mixed it with a blander coffee that has more body and its perfect and still flavorful and I can drink it all day. Nice!
Good, but a little too mild. would prefer a bolder taste.
Definitely a smooth blend - a great starter coffee!
First impression: "uh oh...this smells like I really won't enjoy it." But, I was wrong. I have definitely enjoyed it, although I'm not super crazy about it. I can totally appreciate the blend- its very well balanced, I think the roast was fine, it just wasn't my favorite. Smoothness was good, not very bold though. Definitely not burnt, the smell is borderline sour to me which I do not like. I'm definitely going to drink every bit of it, its just not that great to my palette.
The caramel notes are there, the taste is smooth and even, but somehow this one fails to excite me. In the land of 10s this is a 7, but the land of 5s this is a 3.
Very good. Smooth tasting
Really smooth with not a lot of bitterness like I enjoy
I thought it was delicious! I loved getting a quality coffee, and the description actually matched the taste. I liked all of the flavors and notes, especially the smell of the coffee. I would definitely get this coffee again, keep picking them! You're doing great!
Very nice and lightly roasted, the caramel flavor came through very prominently for me, especially after the coffee had cooled.
This coffee is good. I love the flavor. One thing I would change is to make it a little stronger. I have been using more coffee than I normally do. Since I only make 2 cups per day for me I will have beans left over when I get the next coffee and I'll try some blending to see what happens. I think this is going to be fun. Thanks.
Beats the Maxwell House it replaced. Strong enough to make me raise my eyebrows, but not strong enough to make me wince.
This type of coffe tastes sour to me. I am used to drinking french roast, but I thought I would try something different. It didn't work out.
By far the best coffee I've ever had, but it's only one of two that I've ground myself and the other was the Veranda blend from Starbucks that I got as a comparison. I was pleased with how much I enjoyed drinking it black but I don't feel that I can accurately review it when I have so little to compare it to.
I think it is pretty close to the way it's described in roast level and tasting notes. I just typically prefer different notes.
This is not a bean I would have selected for myself, but ended up really loving it. I've never picked one with chocolate, but in the roast...but the flavor was amazing. Great pick and really smooth
Good pretty balanced and mellow. I liked it easy to drink. Liked that that it was balanced and not a lot of acidity I could taste mostly the chocolate flavors which was nice.
The smell of a the beans was very delightful. I did a grind setting of fine. The taste was very smooth. The flavors of the chocolate was very noticeable. Very good first selection of coffee.
Really liked it though found it wasnt as full as i usually like. Will be putting it in my french press next time
Rich, Bold, Good balance.
My favorite so far. Rich and full of flavor, tastes great even when not hot anymore.
Awesome coffee! Just my style.
Not one of my favorites
Thought this was too bitter overall for me.
It was alright. Kind of plain tasting I suppose.
simple and straightforward. great coffee.
I was not wowed by it, but it is very drinkable. Goes down pretty easy, on the mild to medium bodies side.
I really liked it. Has great balance and very smooth.
I really enjoyed it. If I had a request it'd be a touch more body/depth/earthiness/nuttiness. Maybe a touch less bitter.
This is a great coffee. The roast was perfect and really the flavors were great and blended together so smoothly... which would be my only criticism, it was almost too smooth.
We enjoyed this, though a bit mild and subtle in flavor
This was the first coffee I ever ordered and made in a French Press. Although my palate is very inexperienced I would have to say this was a delicious cup of coffee. I generally prefer something a bit darker but for a medium roast it was quite a surprising cup of Joe!
This coffee was very smooth, almost to a fault. In the future, I'd prefer something with a bit more complexity.
This is a great coffee. The coffee is very smooth and easy to drink. The chocolate notes are pronounced. The roast is just right. It is not too dark or oily.
The beans were good. They arrived the same day I left for vacation and didn’t get to try them for week. Bad planning on my part. Overall good roast, still tweaking my pour over method to yield the best cup of coffee. This being said I would like a different roast next time to develop a wider palet for coffee. Thanks!
Smooth and drinkable, but a bit bland. Nothing to complain about, but also nothing much to get excited over.
Brewed in Keurig in a reusable filter. I did not hit STRONG and brewed about a 6 ounce cup filling to the mid-point line. At this point the coffee is a bit bland and weak and the Dunkin Donuts Whole Bean that I now drink far surpasses the taste. I will try a few cups hitting the STRONG setting to see if that helps. I am open to the process of trying coffees out and am not dissapointed. At this point I may lean towards a more full-bodied coffee if I do not enjoy the next few cups. Thanks Seth....MK
Very smooth, not bitter at all. Did not have a whole lot of deep flavor and seemed a bit light. Tasted the caramel and a bit of the chocolate. The flavor did not linger and needed to be more bold and have a bit deeper characteristics. Actually tasted a hint of raspberry. Brewed it 4 days off roast in a Chemex and got a nice bloom.
May need to be ground a bit finer to give it more body.
Liked the smoothness with good balance, smell was good, but was too light.
Good afternoon coffee.
Loved it. But excited for whatever's next as well. I'm terrible at explaining the taste notes but I did notice the slight caramel flavor. I drink it black and with no sugar because I don't like it too sweet, for future reference. This was a great cup of coffee though!
It's a fine coffee and I like the roast level, but it's a touch "plain" to me. I don't find it very "rich" (but that's okay) or chocolatey but more "flat". Very drinkable but not particularly noteworthy.
Jere & Susan
Yes...this is a simple but rich coffee without being heavy. We liked it very much.
The coffee is good but I thought I would be able to detect the carmel or vanilla more than I do. I've always drunk dark roast so I asnwereed the questions to give medium roast a try. I'm not disapointed though and I'm excited to see what comes next month.
My parents like it, very smooth and not bitter. I like also it but wondering if it can’t be more flavorful
So I didn’t really care for this coffee. I found it to be very weak and almost watery no matter how much I added/decreased bean to water ratio. I did a full brim of freshly ground beans and only added 8 cups of water in my drip brewer and it still came out very weak
very good flavor
Randy & Renee
Smells great. Rich and smooth with good body. A really nice coffee that I would get again.
Smooth and not bitter. Did not taste burnt or have a bad aftertaste. Instead it tasted very fresh and the overall flavor was good. But it felt a little flat, like it could have some more depth or complexity to it.
Enjoyed the blend in this coffee, it was good and smooth.
Really enjoyed this coffee, it was smooth and very easy to drink especially early in the morning! Blend provided richness and flavor without too much acidity
Very smooth. Like it a lot but could be just a little less of the chocolate/caramel notes.. Would definitely like to have to again.
I enjoyed the coffee but would prefer something richer. Thanks
Excellent, reminds me of Lone Pine in Bend, Oregon. Great medium weight, morning coffee. Please send more like this.
I enjoyed it very much
I'm not sure that I received this precise coffee. The bag is white, not black as featured above, and the notes say Day Tripper Blend, caramel and vanilla, not chocolate. The coffee wasn't't quite as rich and robust as I like and had an odd acidic aftertaste.
I think this was too lightly roasted for my tastes. I made this in a french press with about 29 grams of to ~500 grams of water, around 1:17, with 205 degree water for 4.5 minutes. It wasn't bad, but to me it tasted more floral and spicy than chocolate or caramel. It's definitely a good general coffee, but not my favorite. It didn't have those good roasty, smokey flavors.
This is such a perfectly, uncomplicated cup of coffee. A pallet cleanser almost.
Great, loved it! Very smooth, smelled good, tasted great. Not too chocolate-y or rich.
I generally liked this coffee, as it was pretty smooth-drinking. There were some bright notes that I liked and tobacco notes that I didn't like so much. I was excited by the caramel and vanilla listed on the package, but that didn't come through so much when I brewed it.
Yummy flavor, and very drinkable. I love coffees with chocolate and caramel notes, and vanilla like the version of this coffee I received.
It has very little acidic flavor, which I enjoy. I just wish the flavors were a little stronger and fuller bodied.
Mild and smooth, reminded me of Vanilla Bean Coffee I have had in the past
I like it! A little oily mouthfeel (but that could just be my brew method!)
I made cold brew with the bean which turned out to be pretty good. But the drip coffee that I made was a little disappointing. My mouth got really dried out when drinking the hot coffee.
I like the hints of flavor and its great for every morning. Definitely like this one.

Liked the smoothness. Not bitter. Very enjoyable.
Not a favorite. After taste.
Very good balance of bold flavor and smooth taste. A little acidic in my opinion but still very good
Solid everday coffee. Balanced but nothing too exciting going on. Kind of one note. Would prefer something with more complexity.
It was a nice smooth cup, easily drinkable.
Good, complex flavor. Smooth, but runs a bit acidic for my taste.
First impression was great, and continues to be so. I enjoy the smooth, balanced flavors of chocolate and caramel that this blends provides.
Really smooth and mild. You shouldn't need any cream or sugar with this stuff.
The complaints of sourness for this coffee are probably due to under-extraction. The first couple of times I brewed this it was overly acidic, but, when I corrected the grind size, it was much more balanced.
Overall, a good roast. Not overly complex in flavor. Fairly acidic but not at all bitter.
I enjoyed it. Wasnt the most flavorful coffee ive ever had.
Wife really liked it, I did as well, but I like bolder, more flavorful coffees, where she likes this profile. Was good, not bitter, just didn’t get much taste/nuance from it.
Balanced, Neutral, Smooth. Excellent coffee.
Excellent aroma, smooth taste. Solid cup of coffee. I may enjoy some fruity notes a little better.
The website says chocolate and caramel but the bag I got said notes of vanilla. I wish it had been the chocolate and caramel, as it was a little light for my tastes. It also was roasted on the 22nd and I didn't receive it until the 31st, hopefully that is not a standard delivery time.
A lighter roast but balanced. Fruity aromatic. I did not get the chocolate and carmel as the roast was medium light.
Not bad but a little light in roast and flavor.
I loved this coffee! It was very smooth, full bodied with nice chocolate notes and no bitter edge. Please send more like this one.
Okay...a little empty and chocolately for us without enough bold coffee flavor to back it up
Great rich aroma upon opening and grinding. Extremely smooth and easy to drink, although I was hoping for something a little bit stronger. I used the French press, the aero press, and a traditional drip method, and the aero press provided the best results. I like this bean a lot for every day drinking.
It was really good. loved the roast level and flavor
Great flavor and really enjoyed drinking. I really want to give this 5 stars, but need it just a little bolder. Would definitely drink again.
It was good, but I'd like to try a slightly more robust, fuller flavored coffee next time. Thanks.
Tags are Chocolate and Caramel, but I don't think I could really taste it. The taste also varied greatly because of the french press (different cups tasting differently after pour), I would probably prefer a stronger coffee (unless it's the blend technique).
I prefer a bit more flavor (almost like Snickercookie or Donut Shop), so feel free to suggest an alternative for my second shipment as I tend to use whole bean coffee in the evenings with dessert as opposed to mornings, when I used ground coffee for convenience...
Not badly any means but didn’t have as much rich flavor as I would have liked.
This coffee tasted like carrots and acid no matter how I brewed it. Could not pick up on any chocolate or caramel flavors. Tasting notes seemed very inaccurate.
Not strong enough even with extra scoops of coffee added when brewing.
Not full bodied enough for my taste buds. I couldn't pick out the notes of chocolate and caramel. But in general it had some flavor and was okay.
Excellent blend and balance of notes
I enjoyed this coffee more than I thought I would when I first opened the bag! At first glimpse, I thought it would be much to light for my tastes. I typically like a little darker roast but was happy with this one. I enjoyed the smoothness and drinkability of this coffee I found that when I brewed it with an Aeropress It had a slightly sour taste that I didn't care for. But when brewed with my drip machine that was still there but much more subtle and I didn't mind it. I drank this coffee wanting more from it. Although it was an easy drinking coffee I wanted more complexity.
Very good. Not too strong. Caramel and chocolate. Smooth. Balanced.
Easy to drink, very smooth but not enough body, definitely some chocolate in there but not sure about caramel.
Really good! I am really enjoying drinking this coffee. It is a very nice 'everyday' easy-drinker!
It was a good coffee but a little less full bodied than what I prefer.
We have a slight variety of flavor preferences in our office. Though the simple flavor profile is nice, we are missing some acidity and components that would surely come through in a single origin.
I guess I was looking for something with a more bold flavor
We like the smell but taste was on the weaker side
Not a fan of flavored coffee
Good flavor. Not my favorite but still a good cup of coffee.
A smooth and easy drinker. Caramel flavor was decent. I'd be happy to drink this one but will not be hunting it down myself for future purchase. I would like perhaps a slightly more robust body.
Really enjoyed the flavors and balance.
Smoothed and balanced. Just missing a little wow factor to set it apart.
Good medium roast with nice coco and nutty flavors.
