Eric
Ok
2/24/2021

Much lighter beans than any espresso I've ever seen. No oiliness at all! Disappointed.
2/14/2021

Blair
Too dry, doesnt grind down well. Haven't been able to get a good shot out of it.
2/11/2021

Clare
The beans were very light, and taste more like a medium roast than a medium dark to me. Taste is ok, but I was expecting something richer since this blend was supposed to be a darker roast. Even when brewed as espresso, flavor falls a little flat.
2/5/2021

Christiana
very light flavor.
2/5/2021

Tove
This is quite good while I'm actively drinking it but it leaves a distinct and very unpleasant sour aftertaste in the mouth. Is this what is meant by "a lingering finish?" If so, I'll pass.
1/24/2021

David
Not crazy about this one. Not as dark and full bodied as the last one. Tastes a bit thin.
1/21/2021

Tanner
Very good
1/15/2021

Meredith
Great in normal espresso drinking quantities. A little much sometimes to try to drink in normal coffee amounts. Tasted more of the caramel and almond/honeysuckle noted on the bag than chocolate, but still very good coffee.
1/8/2021

Rebecca
I really enjoyed this blend because of its lingering finish. I like to add half & half to my coffee and this blend stands out of the creaminess!
1/4/2021

Megan
Good flavor and body. Dark but not bitter.
12/31/2020

Paije
Extraction was good on a 32 grind for the oracle touch. Good flavours
12/29/2020

Alfred
too harsh, too bitter
11/26/2020

Peter
Very chocolatey, good
11/22/2020

Sam
I actually really enjoyed this one. I noticed it went very well with my Aeropress, which I just got before this one had arrived. Would have again.
11/16/2020

Kassie
We really liked this. We tried it in our Moka pot and the french press. My husband drinks his coffee black no matter what, but I almost always add a little oat milk or sometimes just honey. It was not too bitter and went down smooth. We enjoyed it a lot.
11/5/2020

Alec
nothing special just another cup of coffee imo
11/2/2020

John
Local coffee shop to KC and a good espresso roast.
10/31/2020

Emily
Too dark and bitter even with a coarser grind, did not like the flavors at all. It was even hard to mask it with extra steamed milk in my cappuccino. Didn't finish
10/28/2020

Calvin
I made this in my coffee maker. It's a little full for me, and I didn't like it as much as the Papua New Guinea that I got last week. It was OK. I think I liked it better after I adjusted the grind to fine.
10/21/2020

Giovanni
Full of flavor, great espresso.
10/15/2020

ERIC
Loved it.
10/8/2020

Kristin
Loved the flavors in this one. I was worried the espresso flavor might be strong but it was rich and very smooth. I was pleasantly surprised!
10/8/2020

Samuel
It’s very drinkable but somewhat forgettable with uninteresting flavor profile.
10/5/2020

Edgar
Bag was labeled a dark roast, I prefer light medium range.
9/22/2020

Alyssa
Not a huge heavy milk/cream fan, which made this coffee a lot stronger, slightly more acidic. Really good flavor - love the chocolate notes!! - might be better with a lighter roast?
9/15/2020

Shannon
It was a little bland at high temperatures. We’re prepared it in the espresso machine and a machienetta. It was better on stovetop.
9/4/2020

Kim
After I wrote this review, I had a few more cups and we loved this coffee.
8/31/2020

Amy
A little light for me, but still a decent cup for the morning.
8/22/2020

Josh
too dark of a roast for my taste, though it was surprisingly not burnt-tasting like most espresso blend and/or dark roasts I'm familiar with are. May have been better as espresso, but I do drip coffee.
8/19/2020

Shoshana
Not bad though not my favorite for espresso
8/9/2020

John
Little dark
8/6/2020

Noah
Too bitter after brewing. Would prefer a more smooth roast.
7/28/2020

Ken
Not bad. Not nearly as flavorful as my last 2 bags.
7/28/2020

Robert
Really nice! Best one so far
7/25/2020

Abraham
A little bland in the flavor profile, but not acidic which is good. Unexceptional dark roast
7/15/2020

Margaret
Tastes fine, but can't seem to pull good espresso
7/9/2020

Kara
We found the roast kind of bitter and harsh. Not sure if we brewed it incorrectly, but we much preferred the lighter to medium roasts (e.g. Good Folks)
6/7/2020

Stefanie
Love this blend! My favorite one so far!
6/5/2020

Erika
Love it, just prefer regular coffee. I don't make espresso frequently
6/3/2020

Jonathan
The description of Chocolate, Caramel and Full-bodied are accurate
5/18/2020

Krista
Love this one! So rich, and I definitely get the notes of caramel. Have always been a fan of full-bodied, dark roasts and this fits the bill! It is the type of coffee I would pick for myself based on the bag description. Would love to try something off the beaten path next bag!
5/17/2020

Alec
Not our favorite. A bit average flavor. Would have liked a stronger coffee flavor.
5/14/2020

Jane
Too dark / bitter
4/25/2020

T.J. & Kate
Love it
4/25/2020

Jennifer
Love this one and the Parisi roaster has never let me down.
3/24/2020

ROBERT
I don't know why this came pre-ground, but it did and the grind was far too coarse for espresso. A waste of a month.
2/23/2020

Megan
Loved it!
12/10/2019

Amelia
Excellent darker roast. not bitter. Smooth
11/15/2019

Nathan
While the base flavor notes were pleasant, there were bitter notes that I did not enjoy. Additionally, this coffee had to be ground incredibly fine to pull a proper shot on a commercial espresso machine.
10/29/2019

Brianna
Full Bodied and Rich delicious flavor. Pulls the perfect espresso shot. Will be hard to top this one as my favorite!
6/19/2019

Stephanie
Delicious!
5/15/2019

Midi
Thin and tastes of pine.
4/21/2019

Dale
Very good, but not our fav
4/16/2019

Stephanie
This has been the best one yet. It's a perfect dark coffee that I'm absolutely head over heels in love with and may actually try to find for online purchase. It's perfect with creamer, so far it's been one of the only ones that creamer seems to compliment.
4/15/2019

Paxton
Still good, but nowhere near the previous two. It was full-bodied but not very flavorful. Thick, but overall bland.
4/10/2019

Zachary
Excellent espresso bean. It was a crowd favorite when I entertained my family recently visiting from Colombia and they know great coffee in Bogota when they taste it :)
4/2/2019

Adam
Good espresso... not smokey but more bitter than we typically prefer.
3/20/2019

Jayne
I really thought this coffee made delicious lattes and cappuccino. Would order in the future
2/11/2019

Mike
Too dark of a roast and not nuanced.
2/5/2019

Karen
Too strong.
9/20/2018

Phillip
Great balance, and love the taste. More like this please!
8/19/2018

Nick
Darn good for milk drinks. Didn't care for it as an espresso.
6/18/2018

Christina
A little too dark for us I think.
6/14/2018

Glen
A bit harsh, almost bitter. I can’t detect any interesting flavors in it. Maybe “dark roast” isn’t my preference. The first coffee you sent me (just before this one) was really good.
6/10/2018

David
Loved it
6/8/2018

Matt
Taste has held up well over the first couple of weeks. Rich flavor, although a little too much spice notes for me (a little pinch of brown sugar makes the taste reminds me of cinnamon raisin). Probably looking for more of a rich dark chocolate flavor.
5/20/2018

Brendan
Very dark roast with nice chocolate notes. Stands up to milk well.

A bit too dark roasted for my tastes. It is quite bold and a bit too dark to drink without milk or even in a cortado.
5/16/2018

John
I liked the full-bodied nature of this coffee. We like to make lattes with a home-frothing system and having a heavier roast like this helps contrast the milk.
5/3/2018

Geoffrey
Awesome dark roast! Full bodied and delicious!
5/1/2018

Aidan
This coffee was a little over-roasted for my taste. It manages to have a heavy body, which I appreciate (a truly dark roast would not) but there are some flatter, near-burnt tasting notes that I don't love. It pairs quite well with milk as the sweetness of the milk adds some balance.
4/26/2018

CJ
Makes great espresso, once I dialed in the grind it pulled perfect shots with great crema.
4/16/2018

Jestin
I have really enjoyed this coffee. It’s very bold and has good flavor.

If I had choose btw this and the first coffee, I preferred the first coffee bc of richness and depth of flavor.
4/12/2018

Amy
This one sounded great but we really didn't like it -- seemed over-roasted and bitter.
4/11/2018

Michael
Very dark with lots of crema. Better with milk.
4/10/2018

Thomas
Too dark to taste any notes. Seems like generic roasted coffee i could buy at the grocery store for $6 a bag. Although the coffee produces nice crema, there is no roasting date which I dislike. Also your website indicates this as a medium roast in the picture and on the roast scale. The bag I received said it was dark roast. Did i receive the wrong coffee?
3/20/2018

Natalie
Love it!
3/17/2018

Pablo
dark roast without tasting bitter
3/13/2018

Rob
Way too dark!
3/2/2018

juan
Phenomenal! Keep them coming like this. I could be happy with just this forever. Not acidic, extremely smooth, and excellent finish.
2/23/2018

Josh
Solid average espresso. The packaging leaves a lot to be desired. There was not a roast date on the packaging at all.
2/20/2018

Phillip
Darker roast than I prefer. I drink my espresso straight most of the time. This would hold up well to lattes and other milk blended drinks, and did go nice in a cappuccino.
2/19/2018

Eupremio
Did not enjoy as much. Tasted a bit too nutty/burnt
2/19/2018

terry
we enjoyed this coffee. it has a well balanced flavor and even body..a little on the milder side of espresso and a satisfying cup of drip. overall very nice.
2/10/2018

Robert
The coffee has a great full body and tastes fantastic!
2/7/2018

Paul
Bitter and unremarkable as an espresso. Super weak and subdued as an aeropress.
2/2/2018

Eric
Pretty good. A little more bitter than I like. But I enjoy the dark chocolate taste. Definitely needs some sugar to bring out the flavors
1/30/2018

Marina
A great blend that is very rich in flavour!
1/28/2018

Brian
Delicious, definitely goes well with steamed milk. This is close to what I'm looking for, I think. Then again, I don't know exactly what I'm looking for... It's a well balanced coffee, and I like the chocolate notes, but maybe some brightness would make this perfect.
1/26/2018

todor
Chocolaty and nutty. Very good for espresso!
1/22/2018

Benjamin
Kind of a classic espresso flavor. This is more or less what you expect for a mixed drink espresso roast. Pretty good.
1/22/2018

Anna Kristen
This was a fine full bodied, strong espresso, but it wasn’t anything special to me. I can get something very similar from our local roaster. I missed the complexity and interesting flavors that were in Caffe Vita Coffee Roasting Co.’s Organic Espresso.
1/21/2018

Scott
Good/
1/20/2018

Erik
Delicious full bodied blend.my favorite of what you guys have sent so far
1/18/2018

Richie
Tasted burnt
1/10/2018

Brittany
Strong bodied flavor. Very drinkable as black coffee.
12/11/2017

Ryan
It's a very smooth coffee. Better as espresso than out of a French press. I got some chocolate notes and my wife did like it in a latte
12/9/2017

Paul
Solid espresso. Nothing super unique, but a very good version of a classic espresso, full bodied -
chocolate, earthy caramel notes... especially good as a cortado/machiatto.
11/26/2017

Brian
Really nice for lattes. Nice sweetness to it. Smooth.
10/31/2017

Peter
The somewhat bolder body compared to other medium roasts makes for fantastic cappuccinos. For straight espressos, though, the somewhat strong base notes overshadow the more delicate flavors.
10/29/2017

Alexander
This one smelled fruity and good, but was much too bitter to taste. The bitterness masked the rest of the flavors too much. The good folks blend was much better.
10/29/2017

Dylan
I recalled enjoyed this one. The chocolate and caramel really stood out and was not bitter when pulling shots.
10/28/2017

Susan
I really liked this coffee! It was bold and full but not at all burnt, and with very low acidity. I drank it black and savored every sip... my boyfriend drank it as a mocha espresso and said it was even better than the local coffee shop!
10/28/2017

marcus
Rich and creamy chocolate up front with a caramel finish. A really good full bodied and well balanced blend.
10/26/2017

Varun
It was ok, not a fan of the dark roast, but I'm sure people who do will like this
10/25/2017

chris
For those who like dark roasts with a lot of body, this is the one. Its flavour changes as you drink it - some nice aftertastes including a couple of bitter ones. I made a mistake on my subscription and chose dark roasts a few times by mistake. oops.
10/23/2017

Kevin
Good balance with hints of caramel and a clean aftertaste. Good flavor but could have had a bit more depth/ body
10/20/2017

Jessica
Good dark flavor. Smooth and mellow.
10/13/2017

Stephanie
This one was pretty good. I've enjoyed it. I'm not always a huge fan of caramel in my coffee, but this I definitely liked. It isn't a super strong caramel taste like when adding the sugared flavoring afterward.
9/19/2017

Adam
Bitter, followed by.bitter chocolate finish
9/17/2017

Rachael
Really enjoyed! Creamy, and so lovely in a silky latte.
9/13/2017

Jeffery
Strong caramel flavor with some tang to it. I do not taste much chocolate, and it is not as deep bodied as I was expecting from the official description. Flavor and mouth feel is unique. Probably would not want as a daily espresso, but good for something different.
9/10/2017

Carl
This has a great coffee flavor with a hint of chocolate at the end. The beans are a lot lighter than the Dilllano's Special Dark were. The strong coffee flavor jumps out on this one and it finishes really smooth.
9/5/2017

Ben
As an espresso I like this, but it doesn't have as much depth of flavor as I like for a coffee.
9/4/2017

Kurt
Pretty good and thick crema out of my Gaggia Classic...Pleased with the flavor for americano or latte...
8/28/2017

Brett
flavor, crema, aroma, body.... the best bean in a year
8/27/2017

Ankur
Rich dark chocolate taste. It's a dark roast but it doesn't taste over-roasted. This is an espresso that anyone can appreciate.
8/24/2017

Eugenia
Looks like a medium dark roast, behaves like a medium light with my espresso machine. It was a bit more difficult to adjust- watery, not much crema. Definitely had to grind finer than when I normally use medium roasts to avoid splashing. Got some lightly fruity espressos that turned into hints of milk chocolate when milk was added. Also pulled a smooth double ristretto (accidental, slipped while tamping. Tamped too hard, you know how it goes) with a nice complex combination of fruit and chocolate flavors. Wasn't bad overall, I'm not particularly drawn to it though.
8/20/2017

Christopher
Nice blend that works well in espresso and pourover (Chemex and Clever Dripper).
8/15/2017

CK
by far the best one I've tried. Good balance of flavors
8/13/2017

Seetha
Better than the good folks coffee. No issues with this pick.
8/11/2017

Michael
Aroma is good, taste is good, but overall is a little lighter than I like. When brewed, this blend wasn't as "thick" in color/flavor as I like.
8/9/2017

Casey
Very smooth and chocolatey. Definitely recommend. Makes a really good cappuccino .
8/8/2017

Caitlin
Good quality, but a bit darker than expected and slightly hard to pick out the prominent flavors.
8/7/2017

Jihye
The beens are okay for espresso as described.
8/6/2017

Michael
I usually enjoy the medium/light roasted espressos, but I wanted to experiment, and really happy I did. This is not the oily darker roasts you see in generic coffee shops, that usually give an even taste of ash and charcoal. Rather this is a beautifully balanced traditional Italian espresso, with a long finish of dark chocolate. Though I didn't quite get the caramel, it's sweet enough at the end without being fruity. With a reasonable machine and grinder, if I close my eyes I can imagine I'm in a piazza in Rome.
8/5/2017

Jose
This coffee tasted stale and was a heavy roast. We have specifically chosen light and medium roast and are confused as to why we were sent a dark roast and without a roast date so we cannot determine the freshness of the beans. Disappointed once again
8/4/2017

Charlie
This blend was great for both espresso drinks and pour overs. The rich taste was complimented by a strong finish.
8/4/2017

Teddy
great coffee
8/1/2017

Denise
Loved it.
7/31/2017

Elie
Very tasty, but I'm ready for more nuanced flavors and maybe slightly lighter roasts.
7/27/2017

Paul
Smooth, rich and no bitterness. Very good coffee!
7/24/2017

Shelley
Enjoying the deep rich flavor of this blend. It makes a perfect latte, hot or cold. The rich chocolate flavor comes through perfectly. Highly recommend.
7/19/2017

Ibrahim
I thoroughly enjoyed this blend. It had rich bold flavors and was delicious. I usually stick with medium roasts but enjoyed this dark roast
7/19/2017

Michael
We liked this coffee, but not quite as much as our previous blend. Coffee was balanced and smooth.
7/18/2017

Amy
Good caramel flavor, rich and chocolately. Wish it had a little bit of a acidic note to it.
7/18/2017

Sang
Not what I expected but this isnt what I consider as espresso. Cant get a descent or consistent pull out of this blend. Its acidity, full bodied and unbalance, not my type. After pulling a shot I assume the beans could be at least 3 weeks old since it lacks crema and the bag doesnt have a roasted dates.
7/16/2017

Candace
The after taste is not really good. Not our cup of "tea".
7/15/2017

Tasha
The taste was smooth and awesome
7/15/2017

Jeremy
It's fine. No bitterness. Also not really any richness. No flavors stand out to me.
7/11/2017

Lindsey
5/5 this was perfect in my espresso kettle. In comparison to my first bag, I enjoyed this one more. It was the perfect amount of dark blend
7/6/2017

Vincint
Good flavor, decent body low end of acidity. Would like to see more of the chocolate notes with additional nutty characters to make this one perfect
7/5/2017

Karen
i usually don't use heavy cream ... and i don't care for caramel ...
6/28/2017

Adam
It seemed very light, not full of flavor.
6/23/2017

Andrew
Great up front and has an interesting, almost herbal, finish. Definitely great for an occasional cup, maybe not as an every day. Though I haven't run it through as an espresso, so maybe I'm missing the point.
6/22/2017

Robert
love it. But also love variety. Keep 'em coming. Thanks!
6/17/2017

Andrew
I like espressos and this one was pretty good. However, it tasted a bit lighter than I expected. The bean looked to be a medium roast at best, although it said dark roast on the package. (I don't care for dark roasts personally, just pointing out the difference between the description and how the coffee tastes)
6/14/2017

Becca
a bit bland for my taste for a dark roast. not too acidic and overall smooth taste.
looking for a slightly lighter roast with more bold flavors that won't require a lot of milk, as this one does. furthermore, i typically brew my coffee in a chemex and sometimes in a french press so not really sure this is the best coffee given my typical brewing methods.
6/10/2017

Steven
I found the Roma Espresso to be better than average but I'd prefer the aftertaste to be little less sweet and fruity.
5/23/2017

Jake
This "espresso coffee" is the first actual espresso coffee in my espresso subscription, and it's not really an espresso coffee. It's made for espresso AND french press. Which is, obviously, not possible. The resultant espresso is bad, even on super find grind setting it's almost impossible to get a decent extraction. On the same setting as I use for most espresso I get 30+ grams in 12-15 seconds. Resulting in what should be under extracted grossness. It's not horrible, it's just bad and this clearly isn't a real espresso roast it's some hybrid nonsense. There is once again no guide for a recipe at all and no roasting date. This is a level of coffee I can get at safeway for less. What a disappointment
4/10/2017

Brad
A really good cup of coffee, a tad dark but with milk it makes great drinks.
3/30/2017

Carlos
Smooth and rich. Enjoyed it more as a ristretto. Macchiato was good also.
3/23/2017

Eric
I thought the dark chocolate was a little over powering and made it too one dimensional.
3/15/2017

Kimmie
smooth, rich
2/17/2017

QUENTARA
We enjoyed this coffee for single shots. Bitter for a double shot.
2/11/2017

Sampriti
rich, smooth and velvety. Perfect with milk or as espresso. Not bitter or acidic at all.
2/5/2017

Nate
Loved it!
2/1/2017

Scott
We liked this blend. There was a nice chocolate flavor taste, and after some tweaks, we were able to pull nice espresso shots. We only gave 4 stars because the after taste was less smooth than the Sermon espresso we got last time.
1/12/2017

Noah
Too dark for my taste.
1/2/2017

Michael
Excellent! Love the notes of caramel and chocolate
11/12/2016

Megan
Love this!
11/11/2016

Michael
Ok for a latte or cappuccino. A little boring as straight espresso. I think I prefer the original Espresso Parisi over the Roma blend.// Espresso Machine: La Marzocco Linea Mini // Grinder: Mazzer Super Jolly // Grind Level: 9.1
11/6/2016

Sarah
Easy drinking but not as many layers of flavor
10/30/2016

Brent
This seemed to be more a mellow blend to me. Very smooth. We'd like to try something with a bit more bite and boldness. We like to add heavy cream to our coffee, so it still has to stand up to that! Also, we've been making butter coffee occasionally, and it can often make coffee bitter. Thank you!!!
10/27/2016

Andrew
This coffee grew on me. Nice crema and full bodied.
10/23/2016

Craig
This is one of the worst coffees I have had. It was not dark at all, really acidic, stale and bitter. I do not recommend.
10/18/2016

Jonathan
Aroma: chocolate notes, subtle, not strong Taste: Non complex, single dimensional, medium body, bitter
10/8/2016

Douglas
The roast was on the dark side of medium, but I wouldn't call it dark. Compared to other espresso blends, this was in the middle of the road; not great, but not bad.
10/7/2016

Heather
This coffee has a nice rich flavor, good blend
10/4/2016

Mallorie
Smells incredible! Tastes even better.
10/3/2016

We have a Breville Oracle espresso machine. We ground at a coarse setting of 35. It was too mild and had no lingering taste. Almost a paper taste in the espresso. We made the grind finer to 30 and it was better, but not really bold enough to stand out in a latte. Not sold on this one. Going to a finer grind brought on off notes. Still learning how to distinguish between sour and bitter.

It was going so well with my subscription after they dialed in what kind of coffee I like, now we are back to where we started. This coffee is not good, has a strong floral taste. I would not recommend this coffee if you want a bold dark roast. Very disappointed!

Amy
Enjoyed the deep dark chocolate taste that melts through your pallets and finishes with a nutty hint. Made thisbwith aeropress.

I liked this one a lot. I think I tend to enjoy espresso blends. I appreciated that it was noted how this coffee is good for heavy milk users. I used to drink my coffee light and sweet, but have slowly moved to drinking black coffee. But that note prompted me to grab a bottle of half and half, and it was great. I could still taste the deep flavor, and liked the caramel notes. A real treat!

This is definitely the best roast I've received so far. It's smooth and flavorful. It grinds well and produces a wonderful crema. It's not too bitter and blends well with steamed milk. Keep the beans like this coming!

Robert
Weak in flavor. Grassy, dirty, musty taste.

when compared to Nizza, this was less dense, less rich and the flavour was less durable - I also noted that quality of the beans/roast seemed lesser as manifest by the inconsistency of each shot - the Nizza was most consistent and required less futzing with grind settings - it was not burnt but also not very exciting to my palate

This is my second shipment from Mistobox, and I think I enjoyed the first one better than this one. This is is good, but I had to play with the amount I added because after following the suggested amount it was a bit too acidic.

The coffee is a bit better than Equator with a nice expresso initial taste, but a too smokey aftertaste. It is not as rich an expresso as compared to Ille Italian expresso, dark. Overall, it is a mild tasting expresso with steamed milk for a latte and does hold up some what to the frothy milk. The acid seems more balanced to my taste.

Margaret
Absolutely delicious, no bitterness, just rich, well-rounded robust flavor.
8/15/2016

Jessica
Prefer a darker roast.
8/8/2016

Jayson
One of my favorites. Very smooth flavor that's buttery. The flavor holds up very well as it cools.

matt
excellent- Bold full body, smooth consistent. Love it. Favorite so foar

This roast goes well in cappuccino form. It smells amazing when ground, but seems to lose something in the brewing.

Ahh, my first coffee from MistoBox, like a first love this blend will remain etched in my memory forever. Complex, full and tasty and great as espresso. Very Italian feeling. I want to ride a Vespa through the streets of Rome after drinking this piece of coffee art.

Amanda
I enjoyed this blend. It had a very smooth roast and extracted nicely.
6/16/2016

Patrick
OMG- I hope all my coffees are like this one. Love the taste!

Aaron
better than the last, not great though

Complex aroma makes me think of hazelnut and caramel, with a finish to match. Not as "dark" or "smokey" as I usually like, but that results in a coffee that is inherently sippable and pairs amazingly with milk chocolate or breakfast sweets. Hoped for less acidity and richer mouth feel. Complexity comes across well via aeropress, but drip (obviously) or french press was less satisfying.

Josh
Very good.

Farhad
It definitely lacks in full body flavor, not smokey but sour in taste. I tried various grind levels and brewing times but it always had a muted acidity and flat sourness (like under-brewed coffee.)
// Espresso Machine: Breville, The Duo-Temp Pro Espresso // Grinder: Gaggia MDF Electric Burr Coffee // Grind Level: 3-4

Ryan
Nice and bold, was almost too strong at points but really has a nice fullness too it. Definitely for espresso
3/22/2016

Rachel
I thought this made a great espresso. Def on the lighter side for a dark roast, not too smoky. I'd get it again.
3/21/2016

Allison
bright, a little smoky, very smooth.
3/6/2016

Doug
Good, but not great.
3/3/2016

Diane
Delightful well-rounded cup of espresso.
2/29/2016

Brennan
This one was solid and very enjoyable.
2/24/2016

Brian
Good flavor. I prefer a bit more body. Didn't enjoy the tanginess.
2/23/2016

Too acidic for an every day morning coffee. Probably best after a rich meal.
2/20/2016

Robert
I think this is the closest we've had so far. I wish it had a little something sweet on the end. Nothing too much, just a hit of caramel or something. Great roast though!
2/17/2016

PATRICK
Harsh, acerbic, unbalanced.
2/17/2016

Lynn & Dan
harsh, lacking in full body flavor
2/6/2016

Holly
I.found this espresso to be too acidic for my taste. It was also quite light for a dark roast.
2/5/2016

Frank
This coffee is good, but not great. I like the caramel flavor, but it has almost a burnt finish. I like the bold type, just toned down a tad. Thanks for the selection and I look forward to the next brand!
2/4/2016

Stephen
The flavor was good and interesting. The aroma was nice. It produced a very drinkable cup when mixed with milk for a latte. The flavor was deep, perhaps too deep. I think I might prefer something a little lighter, maybe with some fruit hints.
2/1/2016

Matteo
Average, not exceptional, not bad, but not memorable.
1/25/2016

Aaron
Not as dark roasted as a french or italian roast, fairly muted flavor profile, a bit of a disappointment

Ling
I usually drink my espresso without any sugar. I liked this but think I would prefer a less acidic blend since I don't use milk (lazy in the morning :) This is really smooth and easy to drink.ps. I don't like Stumptown Hair Bender blend. Way too acidic. Tasting notes say it has cherry, toffee, and fudge.
1/7/2016

Joshua
This coffee, like the last one had bright, citric-like notes that I don't find too appealing.
12/30/2015

Saleh
One of the best roasts
12/23/2015

Kathleen
Flavor is good but it finishes weak in your mouth so not as robust as some.
12/20/2015

Chris
Solid cup of coffee but nothing spectacular. This one is actually being served at my local coffee shop near work this week. I typically use an aero press when I brew which helped the flavor quit a bit. I prefer a bit more complexity to my coffee.
11/6/2015

Suchita
I didn't find it that heavy or bold. Very smooth and buttery.
10/31/2015

Savannah
Enjoyed the smokey hints in this coffee. Didn't get much crema off the cups, but always made a tasty cup.
10/15/2015

Bronte
Shared with my co-workers, and we really enjoyed this espresso blend. Good, full bodied flavor.

Brandon
Hard to give 5 stars on my first MistoBox shipment, but this coffee is certainly very tasty -- it's bold, yet smooth. There is a gentle smoke flavor that balances a sweet tinge. This is a great coffee for my Moka Pot and I like that the Parisi package has instructions for Moka pot use. I brewed in my French press as well, but prefer this coffee in my Moka pot.

A beany aroma to the ground beans that I associate with cheap beans like generic Columbian belies a nice variable and complex cup. Maybe weirdly, I seem to taste different notes in the pour over cups (unsweetened butterscotchy flavors and, earthy, loamy richness) and aeropress cups, (a dark red cherry flavor tart on the back outside edges of the tongue). There is more that I can't describe. At first I disliked the 'less darkly roasted than I tend to prefer' roast. Now, though, I think that more roasting might have interfered with the subtler and more various flavors. How the coffee can be both rich and tart in different ways eludes me, but I like it. I feel sort of educated by this new idea. I don't know if I'd like this for a daily cup but I feel that it would be worth enjoying from time to time.

Eric
A little sour when drinking black single shot, but it definitely shines with half and half or heavier.
8/29/2015

Tamara
Not terribly impressed.
8/27/2015

Rachel
This blend was far from a typical espresso. While the nose was smoky and a bit fruity, the taste was bold and almost tangy. The beans were lighter in color from what I envision an espresso bean to be, but there was still an oily sheen. While I enjoyed the change, the flavor was not as deep or smooth as what you'd might expect from espresso.
8/19/2015

Thrillist
very smooth, not a lot of bitterness and it did go great with milk!
8/17/2015

Sarah
Rich, smoky, bold and smooth. Excellent cup of coffee to drink black.
8/10/2015

Tiffany
I loved this coffee! It was so rich and creamy, but with a bold smooth flavor. One of my new favorites!
8/7/2015

Sarah
Not a bad coffee, but for whatever reason shiny beans like this coffee are static monsters once ground and take flight all over the kitchen when I take out the hopper. You know you're getting older when you prefer a coffee that doesn't make a mess.
6/8/2015

Chris
Good flavor but very lacking body for my taste. Would prefer something darker.
5/22/2015

Bryan
This was excellent, just my kind of coffee. Beans not too dark or oily; tasted fresh; very broad on the palate; not too acidic or fruity or angular. Wonderful dark chocolate flavors; great mouthfeel from the press pot. A winner for my taste. Makes me wonder if I prefer blends for their gestalt, vs. the distinctiveness of single-bean-type.
