Out of the 3 we’ve received, this one might be my favorite so far. I liked nutty / earthy flavors and being from NC the tobacco hints were a good reminder of home.
Really good bold and smooth
Has room for potential
Dark and earthy, bitter without much body or roasted notes to complement. May be better a as a pour over but don't have equipment to try. Brewed with Clever dripper and just tasted muddy and flat.
Did not like . Not dark enough and had bitter taste
I liked this blend a lot. It smelled good, even when I ground it. It didn't last for long.
This coffee is fantastic!! Bold, smooth and just chock full of flavor!
Very smooth flavor without sacrificing the boldness.
a little too earthy / chocolate
This coffee was very smooth and flavorful. It wasn't bitter.
Smooth with minimal bitterness. medium to dark roast.
A little too weak for iced coffee. Pretty good for hot.
This was a very pleasant surprise. A definite "buy again" brew.
A very smooth flavor. Not the biggest, boldest taste, but perfectly drinkable. Enjoyable but not quite at the OMG level.
Best so far. Aromatic and consistently good
Not dark enough for my taste. Tasted a bit sharp/acidic. I prefer something more bold
Has a little more flavor but just a bit bland
One of the best I've had. Full flavor of a dark roast plus lively sharper notes of a lighter roast. Delightful aroma while grinding and brewing.
Using a V60 I mostly got a dull cup of coffee with out any soul. With my Aeropress I was able to pick up some very nice chocolate and nutty notes and found it to be quite enjoyable.
I like the nutty, full-bodied flavor.
This coffee is ok. Not as bold as we prefer. We drop brewed it.
It's not horrible, it's just... I don't know. I couldn't find a way to make it that resulted in good coffee. It always tasted either kind of sour or just bland.
I like coffee to taste like coffee. This isn’t bad tasting but not a fan
Good, but a little light for my taste
We did not care for this coffee at all. I'm not sure if it was just the bag we got, but our tasting experience as nothing like the described flavor notes, regardless of the 4 different brewing methods we tried.
Not a fan of the smokey/tobacco flavors
Tasted too sharp and maybe acidic
It was alright, it separated my non dairy coffee creamer. A little too acidic
It was too mild. Did not even taste like coffee or smell like coffee.
Not my favorite.
Hell yea! Loved this roast from Sisters Coffee. Full bodied and with a great taste! Loved this coffee both hot (automatic pour over) and cold (cold brew). Will definitely purchase again.
A bit too roasty - it overwhelms the palate.
Enjoyed the flavor, however would've enjoyed it more if the roast tasted darker
Love the sweet finish
This was nutty and full bodied as advertised. Best coffee I’ve had sent to me so far.
The coffee was far stronger and earthier, veering towards muddy, than I like.
I like the tobacco notes and low acidity
Really enjoyed this. Got it nice and smooth and creamy through a chemex and the chocolate nutty flavors shone through.
I liked this coffee. It is very unique, and one reason I joined a coffee club, to experience different coffees. It fell just short a favorite every day coffee because of the tobacco overtones. I disagree the tobacco was overpowering, but for me, it made a great coffee just good. I'm a dark roast drinker and I liked it much better than Deep Space and other French and Italian Roasts that are too smokey for me. This is strong, smooth and flavorful.
A little weak. wanted more depth and sweetness.
Loved this and would gladly take more of it. I've been to the main coffee shop where they roast the beans and have many fond memories of it.
Really enjoying this one a lot! It is described as simple and straightforward, but I am tasting a richer, classic dark roast flavor than with the previous couple of coffees that were sent.
Very nice, nutty flavor
This really should be listed as a medium roast. The beans were not dark at all. The flavor is very unique but I can’t taste any dark chocolate notes. I’ll probably add some really dark beans in with this and I think it will be really good.
yum - this was one of my favs so far
As someone who doesn't prefer dark roasts and who finds tobacco flavor to be absolutely disgusting, I'm surprised to rate this as high as a 2. But it was drinkable when mixed liberally with other coffee flavors.
Pretty good overall, with some minor sour notes that keep it from being a 5
Mild, smooth flavor with notes of dark chocolate and almond. In addition to French Press, I also used this coffee to make cold brew overnight concentrate. I was wonderful as a cold brew, no weird, bitter flavors. Make a great iced coffee.
Lighter than I prefer but still good, smooth.
Sweet and well-balanced
Good roast, not robust, but pleasing. Nutiness comes through, but not overly rich. Kissed by chocolate and smoke. Doesn't overpower the cup. A solid everyday cup of coffee.
not my favorite
This is really lovely, I definitely get the chocolate. There's a dry earthiness to it that's very unique.
Loved the packaging and the instructions included on the "Optimal Brewing" ratios etc. and the cup is decently drinkable (though not our favorite). The big issue I have with this coffee is the strong tobacco smell after grinding. Normally the smell of fresh coffee is my favorite part so I found this to be unfortunate. I think we will be staying away from coffee with tobacco tasting notes from now on. That said, I'm sure anyone who likes that smell would be pleasantly surprised and should definitely give this blend a shot!
Roast is too sharp and dark
Nice, full-bodied, dark chocolate, very slight nuttiness, and some tobacco notes. I like this, although it always seemed like I could adjust something to give it more "pop" and it never really got there. Still very good.
I'm not really into fruity or acidic coffees. I love nutty/chocolately dark roasts, and this was a great smooth option for that.
This coffee is smooth and strong. I didn't get tobacco notes, but definitely roasted almonds.
Was too bitter and acidic.
This isn’t a dark roast in my opinion, like at all. It tastes like green beans to me. There’s other roasters that have similar tastes and I just don’t understand why people like it!
Kim and Chris
It was okay.
Not the most interesting. A bit lighter bodied than I typically prefer. Makes a passable cup but nothing too noteworthy in terms of depth or flavor profile. The preground option also had a lot of fines in there, pretty uneven grind.
Ashlynn Rickord and
The tobacco flavor was far too strong. I felt like I was drinking a cigarette.
Damn near perfect. Great, rich, nutty flavor, easy to drink but still complex. Love it.
I liked it, but it was a little on the darker side, where the acidity was a little strong for my palette.
Very good. Well balanced. Not too sweet. I would get this again
Too bitter for my taste. Prefer a lighter roast.
Perfect roast, amazing notes
Quite enjoyable. Usually I am not a fan of dark roasts but this one from Sisters Brewing is delicious. Has nice body and very smooth for a dark roast. Nice pick!
