This Ethiopia offering was carefully roasted for you by Bixby Roasting Co. This coffee was grown in the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia and was sourced from independent growers and small farm holders from the Chelchelie village in the Gedeb district (or “woreda”).
Super nice and bold, without erasing the essential fruitiness of the East African coffee. Very well done. 25 g beans, ground in a Baratza Encore, setting 22. Brewed in a Bonivita Immersion cone, 3 oz water, bloom for 30 sec. Add water up to 16 oz, steep for 3.5 minutes
Tasty! I feel like some flavor is missing but I'm new to dark roasts. Still a a great morning coffee

It’s awesome. Love the chocolate notes. Probably the most enjoyable batch I’ve had so far. Very good with no bitter aftertaste.

9 out of 10: dark, rich, complex without tipping over into burnt. A difficult equilibrium to achieve, but this roast does it.
