The Ethiopia Chelchele Natural was carefully roasted for you by Populace Coffee. This Full Natural coffee was sourced from the growing region of Yirgacheffe in Ethiopia and was produced by the Chelchele Washing Station at 1,800 meters above sea level.
Good sweetness! Pretty citrus forward instead of berry, which is just not my personal tastes, but still a great coffee.
Berry flavor is a little bit strong for my tastes. The sweetness level is fine, just a bit too much fruit on the palate. The quality of the beans and roast are impressive and makes the experience very satisfying.
By far my favorite! The citrus and the berries in this coffee were in complete harmony. I loved every sip of this coffee.
One of my favorites yet. More like this please.
This one was pretty awesome. Definitely brighter and more citrusy. Super clean, almost refreshing?
delicious, love the light body, fruity notes, really works great in my chemex
didn't like the citrus / fruity
I'm not very familiar with Ethiopian coffees so this was a great experience. I've never had a coffee that tasted so much like its description. Full-on blueberry and lemon. I'd definitely be interested in tasting more from Ethiopia in the future.
This has been our favorite so far. We really love the natural beans.
Wasn’t as punchy as I expected.
so delicious! I love rich berry flavors, and the smell of lemon gives such a nice counter balance to the full taste of this coffee.
Lovely flavors; but prefer stronger roast
Lemon. and juicy are good descriptions. Definitely a bright flavor to it.
I do not enjoy fruits or citrus-y coffees. This was too acidic.
First brew was via V60: Very smooth and velvety body. Prominent lemon with subtle blueberry. I'm tasting some chocolate as well.
AeroPress brew: Fruit notes are severely muted. Still a soft body. Chocolate finish comes through.
I HATED HOW IT ONLY TASTED LIKE LEMONS. I DON'T LIKE CITRUS OR FRUIT FLAVORS IN MY COFFEE AT ALL. I ENJOY A BOLD DARK ROAST.
This is my favorite so far!
Very nice roast and flavor profile.
I thought this was good. The acidity came through in the aroma a bit much, but I enjoyed it.
The bouquet was a bit funky; went from intelligentsia house blend to this, which was a pretty big change; would probably prefer just a bit darker.
This grew on me quite a bit - rescored to 4 stars.
I really enjoyed this coffee! I love light tasting notes like this, and it smells soo good as it's brewing.
Unmistakable blueberry, some lemon, creamy feel. Method: Medium ground, pour-over.
Misto's tasting notes - "Lemon, Berries, Juicy" are different from what's on the bag - "Toffee, Blueberry, Lemon"
Typically don't like juicy but this was good. Could really taste the lemon in there when it was fresh.
Good, slightly increased acidity as for me. Maybe we could try something for espresso next time? Straight light or dark roast for nice crema? Full-bodied coffee would be appreciated
It's has a very unique taste. I like how fruity and almost 'tea like" profile. I also thought I could taste "ginger"
From the moment I opened the box and got my first whiff of this coffee, I knew I would love it. The first brew was smooth and delighted both my taste buds and my nostrils.
More acidic than what I expected but the taste is still really good.
Smooth and enjoyable
Excellent coffee. Loved the smoothness
Really good, I have been doing bulletproof coffee and while it works well by itself or with cream and honey, It does not work with bulletproof.
I don’t want to say no more Ethiopian bc some of them are borderline life changing, but in general they’re not my favorite. I’d say for a fan of them, this is 4 stars. Closer to 3.5 for me.
Super fruity but I'm here for that. Not an everyday drinker but delicious nevertheless.
