This is Leticia's Natural brought to you by Alma Coffee. This Full Natural processed coffee was grown 1,400 meters above sea level by Leticia Lopez Hutchins in the Copan region of Honduras. This coffee tastes vibrant and juicy and reminds us of mixed berries and cherries.
This cup didn't blow me away the first few times, but once you dial it again, its a really enjoyable cup that has a bright acidity and unique strawberryesque blast. It was a nice fruity coffee that still had respectable body.
Easy to dial in. They weren't kidding about the strawberry jam. As I suppose you should expect with a natural process, strong fruit tones, but not very acidic / bright. Pairs well with milk - Rare coffee I prefer more with milk and don't find that the milk overpowers the more interesting notes.
One of my top 3 favorite roasters.
Very flowery. That can definitely be an experience on its own, but it'll depend on what you're looking for. It's almost like it's more tea than coffee. I did enjoy it, though, knowing what I was making.
Very smooth. Not overpowering. Only slight berry taste which we liked. Definitely a keeper!
Alma is one of my favorite as well as Tony's
Alma is great; like Leticia's Honey a little better than the Natural.
This has been my favorite coffee of 2020
Outstanding! Perfect roast. Perfect berry profile on the nose and in the cup!
Savory flavor (cherry?) survive despite light roast which is too often too bland for me.
