This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Anodyne Coffe Roasting Co. will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
The Atomic Blend was carefully roasted for you by Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. Atomic Blend is a marriage between the best of their Central American and South American coffees to produce a well structured cup and balanced notes. This cup is rich and full bodied with notes of caramel and baking spices.
So far this is the best. Very flavorful. Roasty. Delicious.
I enjoyed this blend - it is traditionally more bold than I usually go but it is balanced with more spicy notes than other blends I have had.
Very good taste. 20g at 185* aero pressed.
I like this one. Maybe we try a dark one again next month, even more bold?
Paula and Jeremy
It grew on me after a while, would possibly try again
Liked the flavor-not acidic yet tones of creamy chocolate, rich and bold
This, for whatever reason upset my stomach.
Don't have much to say about this one good or bad, it was just okay. Nothing wowed me and I wasn't super impressed by it but it makes an okay cup of coffee
This trended go bold side for me but serves well for an early cup to get me going; less so to accompany a breakfast or an afternoon cuppa
Loved it! One of the best coffee’s I’ve had the pleasure of drinking!
Really good, but just a tad too acidic.
It's tastes good, just my personal tastes, didn't love it. A bit too nutty tasting
Made a great cup of coffee; I'm on the fence as to whether I'd seek it out again but I really enjoyed it!
Not our top pick, but one of the better ones we’ve tried.
Kind of weak, off-putting flavor (maybe the caramel?)
Been loving the variety in boldness of each send. Also love that this has a resealable bag! This coffee is bold and flavorful without feeling overpowering!
Amazing. Among the best coffee I've brewed myself, if the not the very best (aero presse). I not only taste the chocolate and bold, but I get caramel/honey on the nose on the front end, with the most unique spice finish. I'm not a trained taster, and I may not use the correct descriptors, but I know this: I love this blend!
This reminds me of Colombian coffee I have had, but with much stronger flavors. I don't like it very much; I can't drink more than one cup at a time. I wouldn't buy it again.
Coffee was a bit too tangy for my liking
This blend was just ok. It was nice but the other beans I've received have been much more enjoyable.
My favorite so far, not that they haven't all been great. My favorite flavors thus far when drinking it black and went another level with a splash of cream.
Wanda and Jim
This coffee was wonderful. Full bodied with rich chocolate taste. I will definitely order this again.
Supposedly 'rich' flavored, this coffee came across thin and watery no matter how I brewed it. My least favorite coffee to try so far.
very good and style I like
Nick and Sarah
Very nice chocolate notes.
Loved this selection!
Coffee was very good. Although I do think I would like something a little stronger, darker roast. This one was just a bit weak for my evolving taste.
Very good, smooth
Love this one! It is full bodied without being harsh to my system. It has a great flavor. Very enjoyable.
Very smooth and full bodied.
This one is ok. There is a flavor note that I cannot find a word for that is not good. I am blending this with a slightly darker roasted Guatemalan I have.
Awesome coffee! Super smooth. Probably one of my favorites so far!
Maybe it will grow on me, but the first two pots had a bad aftertaste. Probably one of my least-favorite roasting companies.
Very smooth, but not as much flavor as the first coffee. Husband loves it, though. I would like something with a stonger finish.
Perfect balance with great strength. Bean has a great dark chocolate smell. Coffee has a little acidity.
Like the smoothness and chocolate notes might be a touch on the smoky side but might grow to like it more
Not our favorite
For the most part, I like this coffee. It has a good aroma to it, and the flavor is solid. There is a bit of brightness on the back end of the flavor that I am not super fond of, but overall it is a good coffee.
This one is terrific. The caramel notes are strong, and delicious. Definitely some complexity. The only reason I didn't give this one 5 stars: not tasting the chocolate notes.
Too light for me. I prefer darker roast coffee.
Love this one!
A little acidic but not unbearable. I enjoyed the "spice" note, great for holiday season! Very good flavor!
So rich and flavorful. A very mild acid. I could drink this all day! My favorite yet. Thank you!
I really like this one but have had it before I like trying different blends
i thought this was weak and more like a caramel drink
Good. Tasted better using a French press compared to pour over which is our preferred method
Seems maybe under roasted for me. Or maybe just high in acids. Definitely has a strong sour note that overpowers what I think is a decent chocolate and caramel undertone. I am really pushing extraction to the point of almost too fine of a grind in my espresso maker. But I can't get the sour out. After further experience I have to downgrade this coffee. I couldn't wait to run out.
Good flavor maybe a little mild.
Very good selection. A touch on the too acidic side, but still a very enjoyable selection.
Roasty and rich--makes a great cold brew.
Yum! Really delicious! Lots of flavor but not too intense either!!
Enjoyed this one. Wouldn’t want the spice every time though
Anodyne has not been impressive
Loved this one
A bit too acidic for me!
loved this coffee, not too a dark roast but the stinger side of a medium roast
Bill and Maggie
Still too light.
Good coffee, prefer a bolder blend
Smooth flavor without a bite or bitter taste. Non-oilly beans with light chaff.
I liked this coffee but the flavor was a little bland for me.
Probably one of the best coffees I've received from MistoBox.
really delicious strong flavor
Really tough to rate this one because the actual flavor and tone of the coffee was great, but getting the ratio to coffee and water correct was kind of brutal!
The instructions were 1.75 gram of coffee per 1 oz. of water. That resulted in nearly two scoops of coffee for every cup! First, if you're making 6 cups of coffee, you nearly need to fill the filter to the brim and you're thinking - no way, this is going to be way too strong (but it wasn't).
Second, as a result, all the coffee was used up within 4 days.
Didn't feel worth it.
Very tasty. I like the nutty, chocolate flavor of this one very well with cream or without.
Too acidic and oily; too dark of a roast. Didn’t enjoy the flavor
I've gotten this blend a few times. It just ok.
Bland and weak. Don’t like the caramel taste.
I do not love chocolate notes.
not a medium roast fan. It was okay, but I much prefer dark roasts. Seemed very acidic.
Love it :)
Liked it, not too strong
Very good, balanced and complex
We loved this one!! :)
I am thinking this was the last shipment that I liked. The ones after that were too dark for my liking.
Kinda buttery and nutty
How do I find more robust and earthy roasty flavors
EXCEPTIONALLY lightly roasted, light tan colored beans at best. Disappointed as this is far (opposite side of the spectrum) from my coffee preferences.
I like the caramel and hint of spices. It was a tan bean, instead of dark brown. Which isn't bad, it's just different from what I'm used to getting. No sour or burnt characteristics. It didn't seem "bold" but it might be that my limited experience has all been bold anyway.
I like it but its a little bit heavy. Maybe something lighter next time for me.
This Anodyne blend was initially very bold and nutty, however it has grown on me significantly. I made a Japanese ice brew in a Chemex with my first roast, which was not as flattering as a normal hot Chemex Brew (which i have stuck to since). I am generally more partial to light, and bright flavors in my coffee, so this was a good change of pace, not exactly what I was expecting, however.
Darker than my usual style.
My wife and I loved the Atomic Blend! Great flavor which made us want to keep going back for more.
A little to earthy for me.
It was good, but the coffee lacked the sort of deep richness that I like in my favourite coffees, and that I was hoping to get from the flavour profile. Maybe not quite enough caramel and chocolate? Still, I enjoyed the beans.
Delicious and smooth. Very enjoyable and I would definitely buy this in the future.
A little too bitter.
This was ok but the after taste just does not work for me. I can't pin down or describe it but this just not what i like
Really nice cup of coffee. Well balanced. Rich flavor doesn't overpower the experience.
Very smooth, low acidity, didn’t really taste the spices but enjoyed the coffee
Enjoyed overall, but it was more bitter than I expected, and I didn’t experience many of the undertones of caramel/spices described either while brewing or tasting.
Not a fan. Tasted quite stale, and there was not a roasting date on the bag. Profile was aggressively sour and acidic despite many attempts to change the extraction. Immersion brews (french press) performed best to mitigate the sour notes, but it left a unidimensional and boring cup. We did not experience much body; the mouthfeel was flat and uninspiring. One of our least favorite coffees from Mistobox so far.
very very bitter. had to add more sugar
I loved this blend! So smooth
The more distance I have from my first tasting the more I've come to appreciate this coffee. When I first tried this coffee I used fresh ground beans, just the right temperature water, a fancy pour over. I was greeted with coffee that was rich and bold, deeply chocolatey. On one hand it felt intimate and familiar, like every great coffee shop coffee I've had the pleasure of sipping.
On the other hand, it's unassuming and ordinary. Though there is lots of great coffee flavor, the baking spices and caramel are nowhere to be found. Though this is a great cup of coffee it is not the most memorable cup of coffee I have had.
What is most telling is likely how I interact with the beans now. In the busyness that is student life I don't have time to sit and enjoy the nuances of my cup. Even so, I still find myself reaching for another sip as I pour over my lecture notes in the morning and mourning the end of my cup for the day. (puns intended)
I really enjoyed this coffee. It's safe, but delicious.
I'm going to try cold brew probably later this week. We'll see how that goes.
I found it was a little too acidic at times - not sure if this was due to wrongly brewing the coffee myself (French press method) or the coffee itself.
It was balanced but had no signature note that I could taste. I'd prefer one that leans just a little more heavily on a sweet, nutty or chocolate note (or similar notes). Overall, I'd consider it a slightly-above-average blend.
Good, balanced blend that is smooth and easy to drink. Like the flavor of the chocolate and baking spices. Not quite as bold or strong as I prefer, but good coffee overall
I did not care for the flavor of this at all.
It's definitely a decent coffee. A bit acidic - it almost masks some flavor, but nothing inherently wrong with the coffee.
nice smooth blend
The pour over problem was the coffee, not the method. I was using pre-ground Duncan Donuts and it tasted terrible. It was thin and watery and way too acidic. Tangy, but not in a good way. Open the bag of Atomic Blend and right off the bat you can smell those caramel notes strongly. I really like that you can smell that sweetness. Ground for french press first, strong smell of earth/chocolate/caramel. Maybe some dark fruit hiding in there? Brewed and poured. Being french press, it's full bodied and muddy. Smoooooth. Slightly tangy, but not bitter. Strong notes of caramel and bourbon. Tried again with the same single cup pour over (Snow Peak titanium pour over). Success! Yielded a smooth, rich and strong cup of coffee. I think my pour over hole is too large, I feel like the flow rate is too fast. In my pour over, understandably, the mouth feel is lessened. Strong notes of earth and dark chocolate. Can't wait for my Chemex to come in!
It was a very good cup of Joe , well rounded. It's so good to not drink stale grocery shelf coffee. Seth don't be afraid to send me something out of left field thanks
Good stuff. Was nervous by the look and smell that it was going to be too light. Pleasantly surprised by the flavor in this roast.
This blend is really lovely.
Weird bitter taste... acidic too
Mostly delicious. Was hoping for rounder, deeper, nuttier notes, but that just might be on me to find the right way to grind the beans.
This was quite a bit lighter than I had anticipated, but I'm not going to ding the coffee for that - I'd recommend that they reclassify this as a light roast. I can definitely taste the caramel and spices. If you like lighter and lively roasts, then you'll probably enjoy this.
Interesting chocolate tones with just enough earthiness; was excellent as a drip-through and highly recommend it
Nice approachable breakfast coffee
This was a very good tasting coffee. Very light flavors but a bold coffee. Was an interesting combination
This coffee tastes great and matches the roaster's description.
This was a delicious, bold blend. Its something you pull out to really impress another coffee drinker. I'm really happy to have this in my pantry. While it may be too big and earthy to be a daily drinker, I can definitely pull this out when I want something with some extra oomph to get me going.
After having gone though all 6, I want to revise this one. The flavor profile on this was just incredible. I'm still not sure it would be a daily cup, but it wouldnt be far from it. Probably my second favorite from these first 6.
Rich and balanced. Nice roasty smooth cup with the aero press.
Very balanced cup with a good blend of sweetness and acidity. The notes of baking spices stand out at first, while the caramel is more present at the finish, Made using a Bialetti Moka Express, 3 oz. with 2% milk and 1 tsp. Demerara sugar.
It was slightly on the bitter side and did mix well with my almond milk salted caramel creamer. It gave off a chemical taste.
Perfect hints of spices and chocolate
The best coffe I have had... period. 70 grams of whole beans to 56 ounces of water was the recipe for a perfect cup!
I really liked this coffee. I brewed it mainly in my Cheney as a pour over. What I liked, it's super smooth! It is just a smooth coffee, it doesn't have an acid bite to it at all. I also loved the hints of flavor in this coffee, I tasted the chocolate and hazelnut flavors in it. Very good
I liked that it was balanced and bold, but there are not a lot of complex flavors with this blend.
This coffee really didn't seem bold to me. I've tried it a few different ways and it just seems mild. It is okay coffee and I kind of like it, but it isn't anything great. It just wasn't as full-bodied as I was expecting.
I really enjoyed this coffee! I liked how well-balanced it was, especially when brewed in my French Press.
I wasn't a huge fan. It tasted too light (no matter how strong I brewed it) and a little too acidic (which probably would've been okay if it had been more full-bodied). To me, a novice, it tasted more fruity than like caramel. I did like the baking spices flavor though. I'm going to try to brew it again using a ridiculous coffee-to-water ratio and see if that helps.
Really good tasting and great aroma. If anything is wrong, it's a little bit too acidic for me. It has a little bit of an earthy taste (maybe it's light roast?) which I don't love, but it's definitely not bad.
Full rich flavor.
Very good; I like the dry, non-oily beans. This blend is very smooth to drink with caramel or maybe toasted marshmallow flavors.
Absolutely delightful with a little coconut palm sugar! I can definitely make out the caramel and coffee notes.
I tried this is pour over and French press and definitely felt like the body and texture came through better in the press. Overall a great choice!
The flavor profile was excellent, but the beans always seemed less concentrated. The coffee came out watery unless I used a tremendous amount of coffee beans. Overall, 7.5/10.
I really liked it. No complaints at all. I would like to try a darker roast soon.
I was wanting to love this coffee, but it's just ok. With a name like Atoimic, I was expecting Bold. Very mild. Not bold enough.
Changing this one to 3 star, after having the Dillanos blend I needed to correct this one. Too bold & bitter for my tastes, but the flavors are good.
Good flavor, really enjoyed, would buy again
Well balanced, smooth, very slightly bitter, subtle burnt cocoa
It was alright but didn't seem like anything special to me. I found the body to be very light even though the tasting notes describe it as full bodied.
Solid blend, with notes of milk chocolate, brown sugar, walnut, toast, and earth. Boldness and complexity were just average.
Great chocolate flavor. Very pleased with the selection.
Flavors were ok but it was very light in body. I would prefer something a little heavier and robust.
I found this a pleasant coffee to drink. no bitterness. I loved the boldness of it. The hint of chocolate in it was not to my liking and with my wife's allergy she was unable to taste this coffee with me. So over all a fine coffee but not a fan.
Really smooth and bold without being acidic. Great to drink black or completely done up. It has a rich flavor, as promised, and is best served hot.
very good coffee. like the chocolate flavor and richness. my onlly issue was that it didn't feel unique but i undrestand that this wasn't single origin so hard to make that a criticism.
A mellow but excellent coffee.
It has more dark roast flavor than I was expecting out of such a light blend.
Wonderful with lots of flavor. Works good iced with cream or hot with steamed milk. Had many friends say they were impressed with my espresso making skills. I gave credit to the coffee ;)
After a few tastes, I found that this roast makes a smooth cup of coffee. There is almost no bitterness, and a quite pleasant aftertaste where the flavors arise. This coffee is good, but I'd prefer a coffee with a little more body and more kick to its taste.
I really enjoy the coffees you've been sending. Additionally, the customer service is excellent!
Too light but tasty I guess
Very nice - light, easily drinkable and mellow taste.
Really liked this as a cold brew however husband did not. Loved it hot. This may have been my most favorite coffee yet!
Great coffee! All the flavors were real clear. Real smooth for a dark coffee.
One of the best espresso blends we've tried
Too acidic, not quite as smooth as I wanted. I didn't really get the caramel notes.
Sorry for the late review. I definitely got the 'bold' taste from this coffee and it seems to be richer than my current one. Still figuring out how to describe the taste of coffee.
Loved the flavor and taste
Smooth, balanced, understated = Blah. I did notice the chocolate though - interesting. I would prefer something with more character and aroma.
I had a different experience with this coffee overall since I really didn't experience it well until I put it through my Chemex. Although the bean was lighter than I'm used to I got a rich and almost buttery flavor out of this coffee as I changed my brewer. I think tasting this one was a bit more advanced than what I've experienced previously but well worth the trials.
I typically don't like to taste much sweetness in my coffee, but this had just a hint. In fact, it was the perfect amount. An excellent balance between sweet and bold.
Good coffee. I expected the flavors to be more pronounced than they were, but I still enjoyed it.
I like the nuttiness and chocolate notes. I do not care for the bitter backend flavor. I prefer something more smooth.
Out of all the coffees thus far, this has been the best. Chocolate notes are great. All in all, so far, this has been the most enjoyable.
Unique flavor that tasted delicious.
I like the spice and caramel undertones. Balance is very nice. I seem to like even a little more boldness
Great balanced coffee. Really liked this blend.
It's ok, not as bold as I would like it to be.
Good flavor, balanced, but aftertaste personally not my favorite, but I'm sure others won't mind. Edited... with my old coffee maker. I purchased a new Cuisinart, and no aftertaste and better overall flavor, made excellent iced coffee with left over coffee
Like the slight sweet, almost flowery note. Make this a wider span of tastes when made into a cappuccino.
Just delicious & Smooth
This was the best coffee sent to me by Mistobox. Great flavor when brewed.
Did not like it near as much as the black & tan. Was not as smooth to my taste.
solid bold taste, but not overdone.
I think that the coffee was pretty good but I'd don't think I handled it well. Preparing it and all haha. If you have a Newsletters, Tips or something like that, I'd love to receive it! I'd love to improve my coffee drinking experience
I wasn't a fan of this coffee. It didn't have much aroma & tasted kind of blah with a slightly bitter aftertaste.
Very good. Had it straight it up. Very balanced. Nice flavor.
I loved the unique flavorful nature of this coffee
It was awesome! It took two cups before I really started liking it. Found that I need a better grinder because I was getting un even flavors between cups.
Really good, a very sweet coffee with a light body. The caramel is very potent and with the chocolate and it all makes for a phenomenal cup.
Great for cold press, great for french press, good coffee all around. My girlfriend wanted something stronger.
This tastes like the excellent local coffee shop coffee but I didn't have to leave home. It's bold and smooth and delicious.
Could you please wrap the shipment box (the black box) in plastic or put it into another box before shipping? I use forward shipping and my shipment company covers the box in large stickers (with address etc), which ruins the appearance. I gave this coffee away as a gift, but I had to replace the box :(
I like the hint of caramel and chocolate flavors. Bold, not to acidic... I would enjoy this on either a daily or special occasion basis.
The flavor was ok but found it slightly bitter. I was most disappointed by its lack of aroma. I enjoy the smell, as much as the taste, of a good cup of coffee.
Very smooth and mild coffee
Coffee seems a little light in color and depth. But, not a bad flavor for an afternoon coffee. I'm looking for something that will jolt me awake in the morning. But, not too acid based but a good flavor. Enjoyed this Atomic Blend in the evening with a great french vanilla gelato affogato. .
I loved how roasty toasty it tasted!! Just so warm and inviting! I really loved it black, which is sayin somethin'! I also loved it all dressed up in cream and sugar. It was a treat either way!
Overall decent blend not as good as the others. Not a big fan of chocolate.
Great balance of earthy and sweet.
It tastes fine, but I've had a hard time striking the right balance in terms of scoops. The label instructions use scales and grams and what have you. So, it's OK. Don't love it.
We enjoyed this blend. Next time would like to take it up a notch to something a little bolder but not bitter.
Love this blend. Complex but hard-hitting.
Nice blend! Bold but smooth and not too bitter. This is a nice robust winter cup of coffee. I'd prefer not to go any darker or smokier than this, but this was a nice start. I usually prefer more fruity/citrus-y notes than in this blend.
too dark for my taste
I really enjoyed this coffee. The aroma led up to a fantastic cup of joe!
This blend was a decent cup of coffee. Not as flavorful as I was hoping from some of the past micro-roast coffees I've had. The complex flavors of earthy, smoky, and nutty are prevalent, was hoping for a more pronounced chocolate taste. Overall, good recommendation, good cup of coffee. 4 out of 5.
Very smooth, deep taste. I like it a lot, but even more I like coffees with more of an edge. With more surprising taste. Nothing against Atomic Blend in that! I wonder if the roasters know that "anodyne" most often means "insipid, without much character."
Strong assertive flavors with slightly bitter notes. Great for espresso
I like this but I may have gone too far away from the traditional coffee taste. I wanted to try it but I wouldn't buy it again.
Smooth and delicious
Love coffee with chocolate notes
Dad and Pam
A little bitter for our taste but good.
Excellent blend. Great cup of coffee!
2 cups and I was done.
I can't put my finger on it, but burnt comes to mind. Not strong, just burnt.
Loved the volume of this blend. There are a lot of different notes encompassed in this one brew but not one overwhelms the others. It is perfectly balanced and smooth.
We are thoroughly enjoying the robustness of this blend. Everything we've had from Anodyne has been absolutely wonderful (we got to try their espresso in our other Mistobox - highly recommend).
This coffee wasn't bad, but it was a little too subtle for me. I think I might prefer something darker and leaning towards hints of citrus.
This coffee is awesome! Its so rich without being too overpowering! Definitely the wakeup in the morning I need !
like the darker roast
I really enjoyed this one!
Chocolate flavor was a tad overwhelming at first but over time, it grew on me
Good blend for a first cup of coffee to start the day
Tastes like a classic cup of good coffee shop coffee. Not too dark not too light. Mildly acidic.
AH! Our favorite coffee!!! So awesome! The best blend-so balanced
Good coffee! I would be interested in trying something a littler darker in one my next shipments, but I like this one a lot - mild but still has a good taste. Very much enjoying it.
Updating my review: This was by far my favorite coffee of my three shipments so far. Now that I've tried a couple lighter roasts, I find myself missing the bitterness and darkness of this one!
Not as dark as I like. Had a nice earthy flavor with no acidity. It's best quality was its smooth almost creamy mouthfeel.
Not as dark as I like. Had a nice earthy flavor with no acidity. It's best quality was its smooth almost creamy mouthfeel.
Did not care for this at all. Tasted muddy to me. Too earthy. Ended up throwing it out.
Pretty solid, a bit dark though.
Hi Connor,Lara and I think the coffee's good, and certainly not acidic or bitter. But I've realized we're used to a darker roast--the coffee doesn't taste strong enough. Looking forward to your next recommendation. Thanks,Eric
Best cup of coffee I've ever had. I didn't know I could taste this good. There was some sort of finish at the end that made it even better love it love it love it.
I think it is a balanced cup but does not have robust chocolate flavors like I was hoping.
Love it! Chocolate undertones, not too bitter. Delicious.
Had my first cup this morning and really enjoyed it!
To acidic. I don't like it.
I love the flavor and smoothness of this coffer
It is very sweet, but pretty mild. I am using the strong setting on my Jura. My wife likes it a lot
Good! Smooth cup of coffee
A little light for a dark roast. Good flavor though.
Good flavor I like the nutty and smokeyness, but a little too bitter for my liking. Would like maybe a little lighter of a roast.
Emily and Todd
This coffee was good enough from the beginning but the had a grassy nutty after taste that took a little bit to get used to. Im not always into blends but after a few cups the taste grew on me and all the flavors actually compliment each other well. I've grown to really enjoy this coffee!
strong buzz! i really like this blend
I liked this quite a bit in pour-over.
Great coffee for the morning! I've brewed it with a Chemex, French Press, and regular drip. All methods produced great coffee, although I like the French Press the best. The chocolaty tones are definitely there, this coffee is just as advertised!
A pretty good morning coffee, this is the bag I chose to take to work for my morning cup of joe. Smooth enough that I can drink it black. I find it a bit softer than the Monaco Blend, which is good, but the overall taste, while good, is nothing I'd rave about.
So far this is my favorite coffee. I don't know what it is the taste is strong yet mellow. Its not bitter either. I am very happy with this brand.
nutty, not as rich or dark as some blends I have enjoyed
This recent shipment was not very good - I actually ended up not drinking it and would request I not get this one again.
perfect balance, smooth and light just how we lik
Very good, smooth and well balanced
while it had an AMAZING aroma coming out of the box, it really just "tasted like coffee" e.g. nothing special, which was a bummer. I liked the way that it was written up - bold/earthy/nutty - didn't get that. Did happen to buy a bag of Equator Sumatra, which was a GREAT coffee. Not sure if that helps you tailor ours going forward. -Sandra
Liked this one a lot. Could be a little darker.
Solid morning cup.
These medium dark, non-oily beans almost resembled almonds in appearance and smell than coffee. The coffee brewed into a rust color and I didn't find the taste to have much depth or balance. I tried adding milk, which curdled a bit until I stirred it. This wasn't the "wake up" coffee I needed, but I could see this being good after lunch or with dessert.
an awesome coffee
Chris & Dee
The packaging on this image is different to the one I received? If it is the same, it was a good first step. Mellow, not to dark and makes a solid Americano.
Yin Hang Phoebe
Uplifting. Solid. My favourite.
Very smooth, balanced nutty flavor. One of my new favorites!
I have absolutely loved all of my selections so far, but this one is my least favorite. It's not a bad coffee by any means, it's just not for me. I do like bold flavors, but this just didn't do anything for me compared to the others. A bit acidic and didn't have that entire mouth wow factor that the other have had.
Love the robust balanced flavor
Very enjoyable smooth coffee.
Love this one.!
Very Nice! A lovely flavor and wonderfully robust. Delish!
Nice nutty/earthy flavor that still comes through in an iced pour-over situation.
The second shipment was a little better. a little more strong bold darker flavor.
Too mild and lacked character. Medium Grind using Chemex Brewer.
smooth, rich and delicious!
Best of the delivery I received. Still a bit smokey but it's much more subtle than the others this month.
This is the first blend we have tried from my very first Mistobox shipment. The first word that comes to mind is "smooth." This coffee behaved like good wine when swirled about the tongue. It had a velvety feel without any acidity, harshness or bite. We agree with the earthy and spice descriptors, but not the nutty or bold. A great start to my subscription.
Great aroma...defintiely smokey...almost tobacco-esque. Flavor did not meet the aroma. I did not find this to be as bold as I was hoping.
I liked the packaging. Interesting bag. It smelled good. But the taste was so bitter that it was not drinkable...Even as iced coffee (sugar and cream). I'm normally a black choose gal, so I need it really smooth. I ended up emptying the beans out of my grinder hopper and discarding them.
This one delicious iced.
Strong, but sours quickly.
This is one of the better smelling coffees I've tried--both before and after it's brewed. Words like traditional, balanced, and fragrant come to mind. A coffee you'd want someone who's not a coffee fan to start out tasting.
