This is the Dark Sumatra Mandheling brought to you by Dawson Taylor Coffee Roasters. This Semi-washed (Wet-hulled) coffee was grown in the Mandheling region of Sumatra between 1,200 and 1,500 meters above sea level.
The earthy notes definitely came through, but I wasn't a big fan of them. I'm typically exclusively a black coffee drinker, but I sometimes added a little milk to this one to tame the earthiness a bit. The bakers chocolate came through, but only in the aftertaste for me. Brewed with a French press.

Great coffee with nice dark and subtle brighter notes. Definitely enjoy drinking this.

Still had a hint of burnt but not as bad as others, mild in flavor but drinkable.
This coffee smells great! It might be too dark for me. The coffee has this aftertaste that’s a bit stale. I taste the bakers chocolate but I don’t like it. I made this in my aeropress, I’ll try a different method.
