This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Brandywine Coffee Roasters will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
This is the Smith Bridge Road Blend brought to you by Brandywine Coffee Roasters. Coffees from Brazil, Colombia, and Costa Rica were carefully chosen and blended together. This combination of coffees create a unique harmony of notes like chocolate and roasted nuts, with a full bodied character.
This did not work for me. An especially thin, acidic finish on the tongue.
This was one of my favorites
Good but not great I prefer a darker roast
Not bad, but didn't really stick out from any of the others that I've had so far.
That was a great cup of coffee. GREAT. I will have to get it again.
Loved the taste
This was so surprisingly great! The first sip I literally went "wow" it had great balance between bold dark and sweet buttery notes this may be one of my favorites! I liked that this one did not seem acidic or smoky flavored
I used chemex pour over system, 15g coffee to 10 oz watee
Good flavor and nice color. Not as strong as we usually drink, but very good.
The best coffee I've ever had!
Delicious chocolate and caramel tones, smooth with no acidity
I don't normally like dark but this one has a lot of flavor without tasting burnt. Very good
Nice seasonal taste; enjoyed this blend although it was not as dark as usually prefer.
Absolutely loved this coffee! The nuttiness and brightness make it very enjoyable for me and I would drink it every day.
Loved this one
Great flavor & makes a really nice cup of coffee. Nutty but still light & flavorful!
Great smell. Taste left more to be desired
I had no idea that brewing method was so important! Tried brewing this coffee using Blue Bottle's pour over method, and it was just ok. I really wasn't looking forward to drinking a couple of weeks' worth of it. Then, I brewed it using Brandywine's pourover instructions, and it's really good! The chocolatey notes really come through, and it's a nice smooth cup of coffee that I really enjoy!
It was nice but not very strong. Smelled just heavenly brewing.
Nothing special but a solid coffee
Tastes lighter than I prefer, but was an amazing cup of coffee!
Not a fan of this one. It had a very bitter after taste in both pour over and espresso. I’m not sure why this was selected for me but not an ideal match.
it was just meh
It was super yummy. I will welcome this coffee again.
This coffee was pretty great. I really tasted the nut and chocolate, like almonds. It had a great mouth feel as an espresso. I even loved the bag, with the actual wax seal on it. That was cool.. But ya, good coffee!
Like the roast but too chocolatey and floral/bitter
This was our favorite one so far. Delicious!
I really loved this. Well balanced. My husband thought it might be too acidic for his tastes. I do like a coffee with a more distinctive aroma and this was fairly basic.
Excellent complex nutty and chocolate notes
Definitely nutty flavor for me and smells nutty too. My wife like the smell when she wakes up. Aftertaste has chocolate taste for me, delicious.
Odd blueberry scent. Not a dark roast.
Arrived really late and not so fresh
The first real stinker of the bunch. Really bitter, roasty flavors forward which I don't prefer. Looking at the blend it's a mostly dark blend, which I guess isn't so much my taste.
Flavorful and bold
Enjoyed this coffee, but the flavor nodes did not stand out to me as much as expected.
Great aroma, good body, but too nutty and earthy for me
Not bold enough
Awesome smell, bland taste
Little too acidic for us, but good quality coffee. Acidity was lower when brewed with higher pressure.
I like it very much
Just a little TOO dark. May adjust profile to be a little more medium/fruity blended.
I give my preference...y’all give results. On point guys.
Kind of standard, but nice nutty notes
Loved it! It's also from right next to my home town - too funny
Pretty solid blend
Too light of a roast. The flavor is smooth, but the aftertaste is rather tart.
Good coffee, reminds me of sitting in a coffee house. Freshly roasted and nutty
I been thinking about the coffees I’ve tried. Honestly, I’ve felt that they were all awesome. I don’t believe I could put one before another.
Tastes good, but if it were stronger it’d be perfect.
It's good. It has a subtle dark taste.
If you're looking for something warm but not too strong this is a great pick for you.
Not my favorite.
Not dark enough
This was my first one and I really liked it, but they’ve since gotten better and better
Well-balanced without any bitterness!
Roast was okay, but a bit too nutty for my liking.
Not for me, too light a roast. Please do not send again.
Weak flavor compared to the other brews I’ve received. Burr ground and brewed with chemex.
A bit thin and weak. Taste not bad, but prefer a richer brew
Too earthy tasting for me
It was good, but I prefer a stronger coffee.
Loved this one!
Smooth, not bitter, but not bold enough for my liking.
Susan & Alex
It tasted good, however I like a darker/bold coffee.
Slightly strong for my taste.
Well balanced and smooth. Loved this!
Very acidic, and didn't go well with milk.
Had good flavor black, with sugar, cream or both
A bit lighter than we typically drink but still enjoyed.
Just like the description says: rich, full-bodied, dark flavors without being too bitter or acidic. Delicious.
Very smooth drinking and good flavor
Good tasting, though my preference may be for slightly more full-bodied character.
Very smooth and no acid big plus!
I really like it. Great taste and not bitter.
It is bitter. I did not care for it.
I thought it was smooth, but not robust. I like a darker coffee with earthier tones.
I liked the earthiness of this coffee.
Smooth, really good
This is really good coffee! I appreciate the freshness and the obviously recent and small-batch grind. It’s fragrant and flavorful and fairly well-balanced. “Chocolate” and “nutty” are definitely apt descriptors. It does have a little of that medium-roast single-origin sourness/acidity that I’m not a huge fan of though so don’t be afraid to send me a darker roast in the future. I prefer my coffee to have those sour edges caramelized off which in my experience happens with high-quality dark roast.
Good but a little too much chocolate flavor for my taste.
Jason & Julie
Wonderful smell but not very flavorful. I’m going to try adding more grounds to my next brew to see if it was my error.
Rally nice and well balanced. Would love to find something with a bit of a more medium roast but still gets those chocolate notes.
I ALWAYS prefer a dark roast coffee but I trusted the process of letting the company match my preference and I was very impressed. I don't normally like something described as Nutty but this was a good, rich, full bodied coffee and I found myself wanting to smell it as often as I could. I think I was most impressed with the packaging with the wax seal placed on the bag for that touch of class. Nice choice!
Just not my cup of Coffee, I was hoping for a dark roast as my profile suggested and this blend just didnt quite get there for me.
Not my style. Gets bitter too quick, too light. I often second guessed how it differed from Keurig brewed cups.
Light flavor, weak finish. Easy to drink, but very little depth, even at double strength. Unfortunately, I find this to be the case with most Brazilian blends.
This was too mild for us. It is listed as medium-dark, but to us, it tasted like a medium. We’ll be trying something darker next.
I'm a dark roast person, which I was careful to indicate in my survey. This roast was very light, giving it far too much acidity for me. It's drinkable, but I am hoping the next coffee reflects my preferences better.
Fresh, smooth tasting, yet bold.
The roast was too light for our tastes. It had more acidic notes of lemon than we typically like.
Delicious. Any way you can tell the company that they need to check their geography? Brazil and Colombia are not in Central America.
not dark enough roast
Not the best....
Lovely blend! Loved it!
I enjoyed this coffee. It would have been great if this was also organic and fair trade.
Too acidic for my taste
Good robust coffee. Prefer dark roasts.
Relatively smooth but reminded me of a restaurant blend which typically aren’t really full bodied to my taste. Prefer something darker and ‘warmer’.
I said I like dark roars and this is a very “blonde” coffee. But it was better than expected. Hoping that the next coffee that Misto sends is a dark roast.
Delicious!! Smooth! Comforting!
I little more nutty flavored than I normally drink. Its good just not my preference.
Nice flavor very smooth
I little too light bodied for my taste.
Rich, creamy, flavorful, and smooth.
Very good coffee! I like the taste of the Smith Bridge Road Blend in an espresso, Americano, or latte.
I tasted a sharpness like a cherry undertone. I prefer a warmer bolder coffee.
Great roast and mouth feel but the taste felt flat and one dimensional. I did not taste chocolate or nutty flavors.
Good and rich. Nice first coffee.
This blend overall didn't feel very full bodied. I typically drink my coffee with a bit of sugar only, FYI. This tasted a tiny bit too bitter.
I think I like something stronger
I thought it was real good. Balanced. I’d get it again
We love how smooth this coffee is. Great flavor, good black or with creamer. My husband likes coffee with just a bit more complexity and oiliness. This one is very close to perfect for me.
Good balanced flavor
Not my fave, kind of lacked flavor.
Neither offensive nor particular interesting/appealing. Just ok.
Just OK; had a flavor on the back-end that I didn't love.
A big favorite with both of us. Balanced preference between roasty flavors without being TOO roasty or acidic.
Loved this coffee. Full bodied but very smooth, no bitterness.
Made great Espresso. Made "ok" pour-over coffee. Flavor of coffee was bland. Nice touch with the wax seal on the bag.
This coffee is in between a 4 and a 5 for me. The blend makes it incredibly balanced. Right amount of acidity for a very enjoyable deep roast flavor. However, because of the blend, it doesn't quite achieve a 5 because no single flavor profile takes center stage. Brewed with french press. 200 degrees, 1 minute bloom, 4 minute seep before plunge.
little too bitter
Great dark roast that retains some of it's personality
Brewed several times via pourover (melitta cone) - full boil; 1:18 ratio. Flavors come through less towards chocolate, and more on the nutty side to me - peanut especially. I do find myself wishing it had more strength (/body?) to it, as I felt it was much more of delicate "nutty-ness" than a full bodied blend. I'd probably recommend this for a dessert coffee, or to go into any baking that calls for brewed coffee (brownies with nuts, maybe?)
Rich, full of flavor. Love the roasted coffee smell.
This one is not for me at all. It's nutty, and pleasantly full-bodied. I brewed it with a Clever Dripper and gave the rest to my family. I enjoyed the body, but now I know I'm not a fan of nuttiness! I didn't get chocolate from this at all, and prefer a caramel note to chocolate even if I did.
Definitely had nutty flavors!
Loved it. Didn't take much to get my ratio down. Very smooth and not at all bitter. I felt the balance between the chocolate and nut flavors was right for my taste. Neither was overpowering.
Did not like the taste nor strength
This is a pleasant and rich coffee, described as a Dark Roast but I would say more like a Medium dark roast.
All around an excellent cup.
This was my favorite coffee so far! Loved the taste and body of it. Rhi says it might have been even better because it was fresh ground by me as I usually get pre-ground coffees.
Smooth but I wouldn’t call it full bodied. I enjoyed this one
This coffee was darker than I usually enjoy. At first it tasted burnt, but I got to a good ratio that turned it into a great cup. We liked the flavor notes and body of this coffee. The acidity level was pleasant.
Loved it! Flavor profile was a perfect blend of nuts with a strong chocolate note
This has a sweetness and nuttiness that I like. I just wish it was a little darker. I ordered it because I grew up near the Brandywine area and was curious about the coffees in the region. This probably has the best packaging of any coffees I've gotten from Mistobox.
I love it
Exactly how we like our coffee to taste
Exactly what I want in a coffee.
One of the best coffees I've had. Perfectly balanced and rich flavor, very low acidity, and consistent through different brewing methods. Will definitely be adding this to my queue again.
This was delightful. Though the acidity was a little high for me. It has great notes of chocolate in the brew. The flavor really comes out when finely ground.
Another good batch. Would've rated it higher but just coming off the previous bag Cafe Luna, it was hard to beat
this is the first coffee I had to discard.. totally not for my taste buds. Too bitter for me
Maybe the best coffee I’ve ever had. Amazing.
Good heavy dark roast. Like the chocolate, walnut, and caramel notes.
This is labeled dark roast and tastes like a dark roast. We've complained once before that we don't like dark roasts. And, our settings reflect that.
I loved it! Great coffee! Great blend!
Really good. Very much enjoyed this one.
Great everyday blend. Good with just hint of milk or cream.
Nicely balanced. A good mix of deep flavors with mild acidity. The nutty notes in the scent and flavor are wonderful.
too bold for our tastes!
Agree with previous reviewer, Brandywine has some excellent coffees but this one is a dark roast. Mistobox, please update your description.
This is listed as "medium-light" but arrives with a "dark roast" label and behaves as the latter. The worst coffee I've had on Mistobox. I was raving about Brandywine to friends and now I feel duped, knowing they have this in their lineup.
Smooth & flavorble
Too fruity for my taste
The roast is so dark, that to my unsophisticated palate, it may as well be Starbucks. I can't taste any flavor other than char.
I requested medium roast. Medium to medium light are ok. I would not like any more dark roast selections please.
Our very favorite yet!!!!
It was a really dark roast. I was only able to drink a cup a day, as it would destroy my stomach if I had two. Also, strangely, I'd get headaches. Other coffees have been great and you've done a good job picking them out.
I was a little worried when I saw that the bag said it was a dark roast. I don't know that I would classify it as a dark roast, but it is still darker than I generally prefer. I've enjoyed it more than I expected to, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to get it again.
The bag says "dark roast" on it which worried me because I'm not dark roast-loving, but the roast level was actually medium.
Tastes sour to me - which I hate.
I also miss the strong coffee smell.
Too acidic and not enough body
Excellent coffee! This was my first coffee from MB and it was a great choice. It made a very smooth, flavorful cup of coffee, just the way I like my coffee!
soooooo comforting and rich. Perfect coffee for cold winter day
