This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Zoka Coffee Roasting Co will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
This is the Fitzroy Blend brought to you by Zoka Coffee Roasting Co. Coffees from Central and South America were carefully chosen and blended together to create a unique harmony of flavors that are greater than the sum of its parts. This coffee offers a smooth, rich cup with notes of caramel and dark chocolate and a full body.
this one was on of the top ones for me , was super rich flavor and i love the caramel and chocolate balance
Lacked flavor, least favorite to date
Just awful, burned taste and unappealing aroma.
This one was great, but the flavor wasn't as rich as some of the others I've had. That said, if I ended up with it again I wouldn't be upset. Brewed in my usual way, Aeropress with a bit of half and half.
The roast is a bit too dark. Ok occasionally but wouldn't want this to be my every day coffee. (I make my coffee strong.)
got a bit of chocolate, but mostly an overwhelming burnt taste no matter how careful the brew.
Very rich, dark chocolate forward. Maybe on the verge of too dark for my tastes, but a good cup.
Love the chocolate tasting notes!
A little too dark
Complex flavor, love it
Coffee seems a bit on the 'lighter' side, almost watered down a bit. The Morning Sun is still our favorite thus far.
While this coffee wasn’t bad, it wasn’t my favorite. Little on the dark side for my taste.
Burnt to a point that makes me ask for refund because this is not nearly a medium and beans are so oily they stick to the grinder requiring additional cleanup. I rarely write reviews but this is one of the worst. Think freshly-burnt Starbucks.
So far, this is the best coffee I have gotten yet!
More 3.5 than 4 stars. Notes of bakers chocolate and a flaky croissant slathered with rich butter. Packaging is the most disappointing aspect. Don’t like packaging more than anything. For coffee to be kept fresh, self resealing bags are always better. Using scotch tape—oxygen is bound to get in.
Decent but didn't blow me away
Over Roasted for a medium. Burnt
If you’re looking for a bold coffee this might be it, but for me it was too dark for a supposedly medium roast.
Bold, flavorful, & very enjoyable to drink each morning! We both love this one.
This was a very solid blend - pretty mellow and smooth.
Earthy and a bit roasty, delicious.
delicious, one of my favorites so far
Good coffee, earthy and chicolaty
Rich flavor. Love this coffee
I really didn't enjoy this cup. molasse bitter taste.
a bit dark for my taste.
Great bold flavor
Excellent coffee, I really enjoy the chocolate nodes that it provides. Great flavor without the overpowering bitterness.
Smooth and rich--nice combo!
I couldn't really taste the chocolate or the molasses. It is bitter and never could dial in a good brew.
Loved this! Rich and smooth. Cheocolate and caramel. Non-acidic. Best we've had yet.
Loved this coffee. Smooth, full bodied, rich flavor but not overpowering
Better than the previous. Balanced taste, not acidic. Slightly burnt my eating; I needed more sugar than normal. The color of the bean is about what we enjoy...we tend to like darker roasts. Overall, a decent, easily drinkable coffee, just didn't have a wow factor.
Not quite sure where this coffee doesnt hit the mark but for me, there is something off here. It's certainly not terrible but there isnt quite as much of that brightness that I sometimes look for.
I'm enjoying the Fitzroy better than the last one, but I'm looking for something with a richer coffee taste (If that makes sense). The color of this bean is what I'm used to where as the last one was a lot lighter. It's hard to explain, but when I drink coffee from Starbucks, I find their coffee tastes burnt, or over roasted, which I don't like. Every once in a while I'll go to a nice place for brunch, and order an iced coffee, and you taste it, and think to yourself, "Wow, that's good coffee." Something you don't need to add milk or sugar to, just a rich coffee flavor. That's what I like. I don't mind subtle hints of other flavors, but over anything else I'm looking for a good, rich coffee flavor. I'm excited to see what you choose next. Thank you.
PS - I don't know if I mentioned it when I signed up, or if it even matters in the choices you make, but I always drink my coffee Iced.
I am really loving this one, has a really rich flavor that I adore.
Wonderfully rich in chocolate and caramel flavors and mouthfeel, and it brews richly in a french press.
Good coffee, with lots of potential for a wonderful cup once you fine tune the grinder properly for this coffee, a fact that is a bit difficult to do. But when you accomplish it, the result is outstanding.
The Fitzroy blend is a very tasty, robust, and smooth coffee, an extremely pleasant way to start my day. A wonderful flavor!
nothing really stands out to me in this coffee
John & Angela
I felt it was on the bitter side.
says "medium roast" definitely more of a dark. Tastes burnt to me since I'm so used to mediums.
Really smooth with chocolate and molasses notes.
Good cup of coffee.
VERY nice. Loved the chocolate & full body.
I've been enjoying this coffee using the pour over method and it's a great cup. I think it might be just a tiny bit too mild for me - I'd like to try something just a bit bolder.
This is a great mid-range coffee, very light, savory and smooth. I think this is perfect if you are having company, it has a little something for everyone and isn't overwhelming with flavor or caffeine. I am giving it 3 stars because I am starting to learn I desire a darker roast, nothing fruity or nutty but a bold earthy flavor.
Didn't like it at all, too strong, dark, too bold.
The flavors of this coffee are pretty good, but it is darker than I like. I prefer a lighter taste and roast. It isn't giving me the "kick" in the morning that I'm looking for.
Great strong flavor without being overly bitter. Tastes like drinking ground cocoa beans, gritty but sweet. Awesome!
