This is the Guatemala Hunapu brought to you by Kuma Coffee. This Fully Washed coffee was sourced from the growing region of Antigua in Guatemala and was produced by various small shareholder farmers at 1,500-1,800 meters above sea level.
Pretty good, but a little dark roasted for my taste. Having trouble discerning delicate notes over the flavor of the roast itself, but the orange does come through.
I usually wait to drink a whole batch before offering thoughts, but this coffee presents really directly. Tasty, approachable. For me, this is a great example of the kind of coffee that I can just sit back and enjoy. Strong backbone of sweetness and body. Not so acidic it might turn someone off. Easy to brew. Good with food or just sipping while working. A pleasure. (It's tempting to make this a 5-star review because it is such a good example of the style.)
