Very good blend caramel, chocolate notes were prevailed. Would have liked to extract the more fruity side of it but I just could not before running out. But it's a solid bean!

An excellent espresso for lattes. Very balanced and pleasant tasting. Also very easy to extract. I used 19g in and 36g out in 40 secs. Highly recommend.

A basic, balanced espresso for the first two weeks, and then it completely fell apart. I have been unable to pull a decent shot from it since. Use up the beans fast.

First sniff: The smell when I opened the bag was a cocoa forward aroma.with a slightly fruity aroma hiding behind it. I didnt get any of the caramel notes noted in the profile or on the bag.
First cup: The intensely dark espresso had a great crema and it had a sweetness where I could see notes of caramel but they werent overwhelming. I added some half and half and stevia as a long black and the notes of caramel faded but the black cherry notes really amped up and the cocoa diminished slightly.
This is a very dark and tasty blend that has no real bitterness and the cherry and cocoa notes go well together.
All in all, a good coffee and would recommend it for a dark and fruity, cocoa brew.

This one was decent, but fall line was definitely better. I wouldn't say this one really nailed the chocolate and caramel, and was a bit acidic.

Great oil and texture, goes best with milk. Otherwise hard to drink. Would be 5 start if it was a little less intense by itself

Not great, not bad, just not as much flavor as I prefer. I tried it in my espresso machine, my french press, my German pour over and my drip. Ironically, it had the best flavor in the drip.

I really love this espresso blend. I do need to bring down the water temperature a few degrees to get the full flavor. The bag is down to my last cup, and I'm super sad.

I found this coffee to be a little bitter, and it doesn't have a very strong flavor. Maybe it's my brewing method? I can detect the chocolate flavor notes, and it is smooth, but otherwise, it is not my favorite.

This is a great single shot latte. Taste is great, and it's very smooth. Double shots get a little bitter, but over all it's an excellent bean.

Not enjoyable at all. When I want an espresso, I want it to be strong. This tasted like a medium regular roast. There was nothing really special about the coffee.

Was not as strong as I thought it might be but had a nice rich mouth feel to it. Didn't really pickup on a ton of flavor from it but overall not a bad cup.

Didnt even get around to pulling a shot of this one. Extremely tasty as a french press, chemex, and drip. Possibly the best pound for pound blend I've ever had. The definition of balance. You could get bored with this after a while maybe, but by the same token, this could very well be your year-round go-to blend. Excellent coffee.

I was really looking forward to this one for the rich taste, but it came up short. Seemed weak for straight espresso and got lost in lattes. Definelty not a do again.

Nice comforting cup of coffee. The medium roast is a bit light for me. I'm missing the bite of a dark roast. To compensate, I'm mixing the Ladro with a 50/50 cut of organic french roast from Allegro.

The taste of chocolate just melts in my mouth with a sip of this coffee. It has a really nice balance, not bitter. A little mild for me, but still really enjoyable.

Amazingly complex medium roast. I would say 5 stars if I wasn't a dark roast fiend. Holds up really well as drip, but had best luck with my aeropress. Rich and creamy chocolate notes, even got a bit of cherry if I focused! Low acidity and silky mouth feel make this one enjoyable to sip all day.

First impressions are difficult to overcome. The bean is much lighter and drier than I expected for an espresso roast. This is an average coffee thru the Moka pot ... nothing really jumps out to grab you. Very drinkable, but nothing spectacular. From the French press, you definitely get the cherry. If you let it linger, you also pick up a sweet creaminess. This is not your coffee if you want a deep, powerful flavor profile.

Not my favorite. I first tasted a hint of chocolate followed by a fruit flavor that was somewhat off putting for me. Was not quite sure of what fruit it was until I read the bag....the Cherry notes were more intense than I would have expected. I could see how some people would love this, but it just wasnt for me.

We like Ladro - they have great beans. Our only challenge is that we are able to get them any day, and we prefer to try roasters we haven't been exposed to.
