This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Portola Coffee Roasters will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
This is the Alchemistic Blend brought to you by Portola Coffee Roasters. This blend is a combination of coffees produced by farmers throughout Cauca, Colombia, and the Imperio Rojo farm in Chirripo, Costa Rica. This blend has become a staple in the Portola Coffee Lab line-up. It's a more developed coffee to create a full-bodied coffee experience with distinct notes of baker's chocolate, dried fruit, toasted almonds and spice.

Very Mellow - Definitely would get again, pairs well with cream/half and half
Likes this one a lot. It was smooth and full and could taste the choloclateyness
Really nice flavors
Not bad at all. This is a nice cup of coffee. It doesn't blow me away, but it's very good.
Loved the notes of chocolate and the aroma of this brew! Not too acidic and easy to drink.
Nutty and chocolatey without being dark roasted, great balance of acidity. Yum.
This has been my favorite so far! Not too acidic and works well in my press with my flavored creamer that I don't want to give up :). Great choice!!!!
Portola is always great!
very flat and bland in taste.
Great bean! I love the flavors and full body of this blend
This was my favorite so far!
Wonderful coffee with a deep rich weight. Nice combination of subtle chocolate and fruity flavors that do not overpower. I ground and enjoyed a cup each morning I had these beans.

Just fair. Rather bitter. Would NOT get again.
Smelled good, tasted good. Very smooth.
The flavor is a little too syrupy for me.
This is a strong flavored coffee with a lot of baker's chocolate.
Best coffee I have received! Perfect mix of brightness and body. Notes of chocolate. Delicious.
Semi-sweet with chocolatey and spicy notes. I brewed with a Chemex.
It's ok..just some bitter notes.
just okay. not particularly "sweet" tasting - a little bitter in fact or acidic.
Very smooth coffee. When brewing with inverted method on a Aeropress, the froth was very nice. Mild flavor, so only lacked some in the taste department, but very smooth and usable. No upset stomach.
Very smooth and non-confrontational. Enjoyable morning cup, but lacked the pizzazz to become a new favorite.
This coffee was good, but a little too acidic for me!
Chocolate and baking spices balance the coffee. Tastes of fine dark chocolate, but smells of cloves and almonds.
LOVE THIS COFFEE! I can see why it has won awards! So smooth and light. Not bitter at all. Definitely would want this again
Good, but I could not detect the notes of almond and spice.
all around good.
Wonderful. The perfect blend of spices. Nothing is overpowering - the balance is just right. No need to destroy this perfect cup with sugar, creamer, or syrups.
Nice coffee, good aroma with a nice taste
balanced, nutty flavor
Pretty good but hard to pick up any distinctive tasting notes (for me anyway)
I immediately was hit with hints of cigars, mushrooms and earthiness when I open the pouch. The beans were sort of medium brown in color and not oily. The taste was almost sweet and a bit acidic, far from roasty or bold. I prefer a little more balance and boldness, but still a nice change to try this blend.
Comforting and sweet. The kind of cup to sip and share on a cool summer morning!
Rich and smooth cup off coffee but couldn't quite taste the almond tasting note.
Loved it. Chocolaty, caramel taste with hints of almond nutty flavor. Mildly fruity
Alchemistic is a local favorite, super great coffee.
There is fruit, but it's not overwhelming. The Sumatra is there, but is kept in check by the Brazil. Pretty decent go-to daily blend.
This coffee was so well balanced. I tasted almonds and caramel that got sweeter and more pronounced as it cooled. Excellent
Good solid coffee. I am not a huge fan of almond notes myself, but the caramel really brought it together
Good but I would choose the Epiphany over this one. :)
