This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Colectivo Coffee will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
The Costa Rica Campeón was carefully roasted for you by Colectivo Coffee. This fully washed coffee was grown by the 700+ producers in the Dota Valley of the Tarrazú region of Costa Rica between 1,500 - 1,900 meters above sea level. This coffee has a bright fruity acidity and a caramel structure that delivers a great, balanced cup.
This is maybe the best coffee I've ever had on MistoBox
I've really liked this over V60. It's straighforward and balanced, bright but not overly fruity. Pairs well with a savory breakfast.
Very interesting flavors- light, bright, and fruity. Subtle raspberry flavor, but not as pronounced and balanced as some I have tried. Really nice aftertaste.
A little middle of the road. Not bad, just the least favourite of the few we have had.
Nice flavor, well within my preferred fruity style, but less pronounced than others.
This was not bad but not remarkable. I didn’t really love it.
This was a good, complex cup. I liked the combination of the caramel and fruit hints throughout.
solid bag of beans. One of my top favorites for sure.
Another excellent choice, really good flavor and balance between the acidity and the caramel.
A fun, bright cup, great for those pleasant mornings. Flavor is pretty neutral, but great if you're not into that intense "coffee flavor"
Very delicious, bold flavors. One of my favorites so far!
Taste doesn't seem to match the described flavor notes. Not a fan of this one.
High in caffeine? Jittery after drinking
I don't get fruity and bright from this one. That's not to say it's bad, but for me, its description is off. It's got a nice undercurent, though.
This was not as interesting as the others I've received. Tasted "too balanced" or too nutty for my taste.
A fun and well rounded flavor. Fairly memorable
Good roast, Citrus, caramel flavor.
Nice acidity. Brewing in metal filter pour-over and Aeropress.
This is my favorite coffee we have got so far. Love it's fruity bright flavors
Good but not memorable.
the aroma of the beans grinding is fruity it brews milder than the fragrance but is smooth.
This one had kind of a bite to it, which I didn’t like too much. It had a strong aftertaste. Not a lot of fruity flavor in my experience. Maybe it’s a Costa Rica thing? I usually like Ethiopia roasts.
Almost on par with the Ethiopian coffees.
Bright, smooth, a little chocolatey. Pretty good
I liked it. Full of balance. Good caramel sweetness to it. Muted acidity that was more like a pear or an apple.
Rich, flavorful and excellent.
I liked this coffee, good flavor profile even when cold, not very complex though.
Not nearly enough flavor.
Really great flavor, bright, not too acidic.
Lovely balanced coffee with a medium acidity and slight chocolately finish. It is nicely roasted and had a wonderful bloom. Pefectly balanced and enjoyable cup.
This was my first time trying a lighter roast coffee. It was definitely full of different flavors than I was used to. It was a very nice, smooth, and clean cup of coffee. I would order again.
This coffee was fantastic. I enjoyed the super bright acidity present here. It has a satisfying mouthfeel with a lingering sweetness and an almost berry or lemon like acidity depending on brew method.
I had high expectations but maybe unjustly so - this coffee had too much mineral taste to me, no matter how brewed it. I used Aeropress, Chemex and V60 to no avail. Ended up throwing half away as I can't drink it.
This was a great roast. Excellent for the cold winter months!
Clean and delicious
I like the sweet caramel aroma of the beans. It is quite acidic, which blends well with the sweetness to create a nice balanced cup. This balance though makes it harder to pick out any individual fruits or flavors.
Had a lot of colectivo when in Wisconsin. Better than I remember. Brewed with a higher ratio added some more nuance.
Kind of a dull flavor not quite bright enough for our taste
Very Balanced and tasty coffee for a medium light pourover. One of my favorites delivered from Mistobox.
too acidic, perhaps?
Not a strong flavor. Do not prefer watery body.
Had a really hard time getting any flavor notes out of this coffee, even using multiple different pour over devices and grind settings. The taste is fine, otherwise, just tastes like a typical light roast coffee.
There's a fine line between 'light' and 'underroasted' and I think this coffee tends toward the latter. There's sort of a 'grassiness' that reminds me of some home-roasted coffees that I pulled off the roaster a little early. I don't know if this is a desired flavor in really light coffees, but I find it sort of clobbers any of the more interesting flavors that might be present as well.
You can see it in the beans themselves - there's some color variation with a material number (5-10%) of the beans being really, really light brown and likely never hitting first crack in the roasting cycle.
I'm still pretty amateurish at all this, but that's my best guess as to why.
Great flavor. Loved this coffee.
not a fan of the fruity and highly acidic flavors in this coffee.
Not bright/light... Dark and dull are my descriptors on this coffee.
This coffee has an very light body but, I really enjoy the subtle fruitiness and slight caramel flavor.
The nose on this coffee was dreamy at first grind. Folks from around the office came into the kitchen to see what I was grinding. The bean color was darker than expected and lovely. It took us a brew or two to find a good balance. It wasn't bitter but a little acidic.
I did find this bean enjoyable, just thought it was a bit subtle. I look for more of an in your face flavor profile I suppose?
Light with a touch of chocolate taste. Enjoyable.
overall good cup. balanced but not very exotic.
Perfect 1st selection!
A bit light and acidic, but overall good. Maybe something a bit darker.
I really love this coffee, about the same as the topeka that I rated 5 stars. Nice and light, clean acidity, and overall excellent flavor.
