This is the Costa Rica Tarrazu brought to you by Portrait Coffee. This Fully Washed coffee was grown 1,500 meters above sea level in the growing region of Tarrazu in Costa Rica. We're tasting stone fruits, berries, citrus, and toasted nuts in the cup.

A little thicker on the palate than I was expecting. I prefer a brighter taste and a crispier feel.

Not a bad cup at all. It has a good acidity and a nice sweetness, but a bit bitter for my taste.

A bit roasty toasty but it makes a good espresso - certainly wouldn't be my first choice for filter though.

It's not a bad coffee, but I found the roast too dark for my tastes. I brewed it on V60, Chemex, and Aeropress. Much of the fruit complexity was washed out by the smokey roast. In fact, I found this to be as the bag describes it: medium roast with notes of chocolate and caramel with a lemony acidity.

Really nicely layered flavor profile, delivers on the notes as promised. A hint of citrus up top, a strong presence of darker fruits and berries in the middle, all supported by the base of lightly toasted nuttiness. Brewed V60 3:10 total time.

It is delicious! We make it as an espresso shot and then use it in either a cappuccino or iced latte!
