This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Quills Coffee will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
This is the Colombia Gran Galope brought to you by Quills Coffee. This fully washed coffee was grown by the various small holder producers in the Huila region of Colombia at 1,700 meters above sea level. The cup is balanced and rich with a toffee sweetness, almond-like nuttiness and a subtle citrus acidity.
I think this would be a good crowd pleaser. Enough character for us coffee snobs yet familiar enough roast level for the masses. I get some light Carmel and roasted nuts coming into your medium to dark roast traditional flavors.
Amazing coffee. Super excited to have signed up to mistobox.
I’ll give it a 4 but Erica gives it a 3
It was bitter and dark.
This is a tasty coffee, true to its description and its origin.
Too much roast for my preference
Nicely balanced, all around good cup of coffee. Not too dark.
Did not like
Definitely balanced, very coffee like taste with hint of fruity note.
Decent I think? I have no complaints on this one.
Tasty, easy to drink with a hint of fruity flavor and nuttiness. Very solid cup.
A bit bland.
Much better than the previous one! Though I feel fruits in the coffee. It's really strange. Maybe it's citrus acidity that was written in the description. Is that possible for the next coffee to be full bodied. As my morning routine consists of or Chemex or V60 I really miss coffee that will let me "think" about it.
Brewed using v60, aero press, and french press. When I first received the bag, the coffee definitely had a unique sweetness to it. It's hard to describe, but tasted the same way a good cup of coffee smelled in the morning. The last cup I brewed had a very metallic taste to it, perhaps I need to adjust my brewing method.
Enjoyed the smooth taste.
Did not like. Too earthy.
Tasty and mellow
Not bad but nothing memorable
I did not like this coffee much and I I didn't like the lemony taste.
Mild. Good but not my favorite. A little citrus
A fantastic coffee with the perfect taste of toffee flavor!
This is my favorite so far. I like this one a lot.
I wanted to love it, but it was just ok.
We loved this one! Please send more like this. Thanks!
liked the balanced taste to it plus i got a hint of lemon taste
Wonderful aroma, nice, balanced cup. Just didn’t wow me like some o the others - I opened a little farther from the roasting date than usual, so that might have had something to do with it. Still, good stuff!
This coffee is fine. It's not good, and it's not bad. It's just fine. The lemon pulls through nicely at the end, but the pour is fairly light and the mouthfeel is a little weak. Not our personal favorite, but probably a good coffee for someone who wants a lighter roast with a pop of acidity at the end.
Good coffee - just did not prefer the overall flavor
Aced it again, it's a bit more poppy with acidity. But it's very balanced. But I love it, I think this is yet again, my new favorite. Espresso is the way to go with this one!
This one is just ok...nothing special. It's a little on the bold tasting side for our liking. Probably would not order this one again.
This is my second favorite coffee I have tried through Misto Box (second to the DCR Papua New Guinea). I thought this was a really well balanced coffee with sweet caramel notes and a light citrus taste at the finish.
Different tasting notes on the bag. Not a favorite
Loved the depth of flavor in this one
A little too nutty for me... blends more into earthy category for me.
Balanced, easy drinking
These coffees are so much better then what I get locally and in the stores
Too bitter compared to others
I loved this...columbian is a favorite
Light, but good.
One of my new favorites; it's extremely rich and dessertlike, and I love that the aftertaste is only a hint of herbs lingering. The chocolatey-nuttiness is full and keeps me smiling after I drink it in the morning.
Great balance of flavors: nutty and warm, and that lemon meringue note comes forward as a pleasant aftertaste.
Bitter, wet brown paper bag taste.
Rich, full mouthfeel. Light acidity. Lots of toffee, nutty sweetness.
The Roast profile on this coffee is a bit darker than I would have expected.
Notes of Carmel and grapefruit is what I got out of this roast.
Quills is always good!
I use a Chemex to make coffee, and this one just always ended up a little too bland.
I didn't find this to be very flavourful.
Great coffee! Getting all described notes in my brew. Very balanced and not too bold in the traditional Colombian coffee sort of way. Loving it!
This was a smooth every-day coffee, but I didn't get any sort of Nutty tasting notes in my brews. To me, it was a smoother, caramel with the notable citrus acidity.
I really enjoyed this coffee. Well balanced with a faint acidity that brightened the cup just enough.
I loved this Coffee!
Mellow with great flavor, no bitter after taste.
Full bodied, earthy, I liked but Jackie didn't like.
Really liked this one. Light, sweet, great depth of flavor.
I've had a few really amazing Colombia coffees lately, but this unfortunately is not one of them. Little darker than I was hoping it would be. Not a huge fan.
I enjoyed this coffee more than my first round of coffee. I thought it was smooth and I got tasting notes of nutty and caramel flavors. The roast was fantastic and I very much enjoyed (and am enjoying) this coffee ☕️
My husband and I liked our first cup. We weren’t overly impressed by the taste or notes right away. There is a bit of a sour after taste that seems to linger. I think their description is very accurate and over all we enjoyed it. I found that I liked it better over time. It’s been three weeks since we’ve had it, and I like it better now actually. We only used it in a french press
Tastes very bitter and burnt. The most disappointing bag I've gotten so far. My coworkers prefer the breakroom coffee machine to this bag.
